Came to this restaurant for breakfast on a recommendation from a friend who attended Chico State. There are 2 different entrances depending whether you're there for breakfast/lunch or dinner. Their breakfast menu has many options and they offer mimosas on weekends. It was quite active for it being a Thursday morning. Looking to have something light but satisfying, I ordered the mini breakfast and opted for zucchini shreds. It came with an egg, bacon, and the shreds. It was deliciously satisfying without giving you the over-stuffed feeling typical of restaurant breakfast. The zucchini was perfectly seasoned and not at all overcooked. The bacon was high quality and grilled to perfection. My boyfriend ordered the biscuits and gravy with poached eggs. The gravy is house made and thick, but unfortunately the biscuits are not homemade. read more

Nash's Banquet Service: I recently had my daughter's CSU graduation (dinner) celebration there for 25 people. I was afraid because we were seated at 3 different tables, people would be limited to talking only to those seated next to them; but because we had the whole room, it was cozy & intimate & everyone switched around throughout the evening to visit. Everyone raved about the food, which I also thought was very good. We did the whole dinner for just over $900 including everyone's beer, wine, & soft drinks. The service was excellent & attentive. I consider Nash's a Chico institution & was very surprised it was still available just a few weeks before graduation! I recommend Nash's! read more

A truly disappointing visit. Three of us had made reservations and were led into a barn like room with a concrete floor - We ordered two appetizers - The calamari was inedible (it was so tough that it could be used for truck tire retreads -(the ones you see on the freeway). The digestible outer coating was unseasoned but thankfully the portions were small (but at the same time overpriced). Speaking of small portions the six coconut shrimp were so diminutive that they defined the word "shrimp" and could all fit into the small ramekin that held a decent sweet salsa. Next came the salads - mine came without any dressing on it at all - my wife had to flag down another waitress as only 2 of the 3 arrived but the son's was actually a dressed salad. One for three on the salads. Two of the three entrees were acceptable (the salmon and the jalapeno chicken). My $26.00 dollar steak was so tough I could barely cut it with a knife and I'm pretty sure that even John Wayne on the trail would have been disappointed. So for over $100 (with no drinks or deserts) I had a salad without dressing, an inedible appetizer, and an unacceptable entree. We did tip the poor untrained waitresses (they tried hard and they shouldn't suffer because the owner and/or manager have dropped the ball) The poor kids wandered through the room looking for people to match items were constantly apologizing to our and other tales and seemed lost most of the time. I really don't like dissing any place but this was a real disappointment - Nash's is an INCONSISTENT spot and I know I won't be back - sad for me and mine because Chico needs good places and from what I have heard Nash's used to be one. read more

This is my favorite breakfast place in Chico! The food is always consistently good (excellent for omelet lovers and those who want healthy side options). The service is excellent! My new favorite breakfast place! Whenever I'm in Chico in the mornings, I want to go here! I ordered the croissant egg sandwich and my boyfriend ordered "the hangover." honestly a great spot. we came at 1:30 and bottomless ended at 2. body approached for the first 20 minutes but they compensated for it. we finally called someone over and they filled us up. we were nervous to ask for more but they were at our service. all of our food came out in a timely matter and was very yummy. The waitresses here are phenomenal. My only dislike was the fish. Never in my life have I ordered fish and had it come out tough. They were very nice and resolved the issue but I would not order the fish ever again. Overall, a great place. I will definitely go back. read more

Great breakfast/brunch. Never disappoints. Everything is good so you can't go wrong. The service is great (always a sweet, attractive, and attentive waitress). My favorite is the camper scramble. It's a perfect mix of breakfast favorites. The omelets are delicious too. They give you a good amount of food. A GREAT place to go for champagne brunch! Unlimited champagne for $4 more. Large menu of classics. Family friendly and superb service. I had a breakfast burrito and it was huge and very flavorful. My husband had the 3 breakfast tacos and those were delicious. Son #1 had the Camper Scramble and raved. Son #2 had the Avenue Waffles with strawberries and whipped cream and loved it. The country potatoes were a bit generic. The only reason this isn't getting 5 stars was the service. Came in around 10a on a Tuesday and there were only two other tables. They sat us asked for our drink order and then we had to wait another twenty minutes until anyone took our order. Food was great though!!!! The food here is always fantastic! My favorites are the Smoked Salmon Omelette and the Eggs Benedict. I love that zucchini shreds are a side option instead of just the typical hashbrowns and toast. The champagne brunch deal is ok. $4.95 extra to add bottomless champagne. It would be better if they had bigger glasses and better service. Bottomless isn't really bottomless if you have to track down the server every time you need a refill. The wait staff needs more training. The food here is absolutely OUTSTANDING everytime I come. However, yesterday the service was awful. Our waitress never introduced herself, took our order fast, and we never saw her again until our check arrived. It then took over 20 mins just to pay and we had to flag down another server to do so. I understand Sunday brunch is a busy time, but the girl that was refilling champagne was so unbelievably attentive and sweet(I think her name is Alicia). Blues on First Wednesday of every month. More 80's rock band than the blues I was expecting but still fun. People were dancing and having a good time. Had a couple beers and $8 gyoza appetizer. Had breakfast there today, service is incredible, the kitchen staff must be awesome because our breakfast came in about 10 minutes. I had chicken fried chicken, didn't care for the sausage gravy on top, so would ask them next time to leave that off, toast and eggs cooked to perfection. For as busy as the place was the service was great and the food really tasty. Husband ordered the Pepper omelet with lots of different peppers - he enjoyed it and the home fried.
