I had to ask a hostess, "What is it's cuisine? Japanese and European Fision," replied she. Overall, I was impressed by the decor. All food items were salty, in my opinion. Our server was accomodating.

Wonderful experience at this Japanese restaurant. The hostess and the waiter were very friendly. This is a small restaurant, but it has a wonderful atmosphere that is very inviting. The food is overpriced but well worth it. Excellent restaurant for special occasions

I loved the atmosphere, very classy and warm. The service and attention was top notch from the hostess to the bartenders and the managers. Alec and Pedro at the bar were both great, not just with myself, but others sitting at the bar. They were friendly, attentive and their recommendations were spot on. The crudité was delicious, the oysters were the best I've ever enjoyed. No grit, no bits of shell, just delicious. If you like mushrooms and black garlic, the MUSHROOM DONABE is so good. The GOLDEN ROCHER* was decadent-delicious and great textures. Nami lives up to its Michelin recognition.

Nami has incredible service and one of the reasons we chose to spend our evening celebrating our 18th wedding anniversary with them, that and our desire for the king crab legs and fried rice but we didn't realize those were based on time of year. So upon entry we were greeted and wished a Happy Anniversary from the hostess and then again from each person who interacted with us. I always appreciate attention to detail and small things that take notice. Our server and assistants were fantastic. There was never a time or moment to have even a crumb on the table that they weren't cleaning off. We both ordered the Moss as our cocktail, and my husband prefers a mezcal so he switched the regular tequila for one of the many they had to offer. He was also excited to learn new brands that most other places don't have. I enjoy a light and refreshing cocktail and that's exactly what Moss was with the cucumber and yuzu was perfect for this hot summer evening to start with. For appetizers we had the Nami nuggets which were fantastic, sliced thin, extra crunchy with lemon and dipping sauce, literally the perfect bite. My husband had the octopus (I'm not a fan), but he said it was the best octopus he'd ever had! We shared the lobster and fried rice for dinner and honestly we took a bunch home for leftovers because it was so much food! 2.5 pounds of lobster in total between the cracked shells and what's added to the fried rice. At the end we just went with the dessert they offered us for free because we were stuffed and couldn't eat another bite. We both tried it and agreed we weren't fans of lemongrass ice cream but we appreciated the thought. The pineapple compote and crumble were excellent though. Overall, Nami is a fantastic date and special occasion restaurant. Excellent food and service. We'll be back in the fall when the king crab comes back!

Went in here while staying at the Wave hotel. Didn't know what to expect and am not into most of the odd fusion Japanese. Then they told me no sushi, I was nervous. Turned out Angela walked us through a wonderful meal of stuff I would have never ordered. Except 1 iffy plate for me all was delicious. I couldn't believe we ate it. The dessert was wonderful too! Will post pics. Ambience was great. Dark and exclusive.

Nami Lake Nona is a vibe and then some. The space is intimate, gorgeous, and not oversized exactly what fine dining should feel like. Think chill Miami energy meets Japanese-inspired cuisine. We started with warm hand towels and airy rice chips with a tahini miso paste that honestly set the tone for how good the rest of the night was going to be. Starters included spicy Hamachi Maki, salmon crudo, and a cucumber salad in a sauce so good we kept it on the table to dip everything else into. Drinks were a highlight too. I had a passionfruit mocktail, refreshing and fizzy. My fiancé went with the Japanese-style highball, made with a specialty machine that only three locations in the state have. Super light, smooth, and you feel it way before you really taste it. For dinner I had the Chilean Seabass, easily top two ever, served with a beet radish that was way better than it sounds. My fiancé had the ribeye with wasabi mash and baby corn with crème fraîche. Both were incredible. Dessert was a hazelnut vanilla ice cream situation that reminded me of Ferrero Rocher in gold flakes. Warm, cold, crunchy, creamy, every bite hit differently. Our server Haley was amazing, attentive, knowledgeable, and sweet. We ended the night with a caramel fudge in edible wrapping which was such a cute touch. Foodies, this one's for you. Go.

This place is absolutely worth the hype! We had a reservation and were seated almost immediately. We were a table of 4 and ordered 3-4 plates per round. Starting with the first round, we go the tuna pizza and nami maki. Both were incredible - I especially loved the tuna pizza and could have so many of those. The second round we ordered the nami nuggets, octopus, lobster donuts, and yakitori chicken wings. Everything was also so delicious. My favorites were the nami nuggets and lobster donuts. Would definitely order those again. The final round included lamb chops, corn, and mushroom donabe. Oh my goodness - the lamb chops were SO good. I really only have good things to say about all the food we ordered. The ambiance and service was just as great and I think it's a great dinner spot!

What a pleasant surprise. A hidden gem in Lake Nona, Orlando Florida. This was our first time dining in at Nami. We did a 20 course chef's counter with Chef Jason Beliveau, which was similar to omakase experience except every course was a fusion of flavors from different countries. Nami is located on the back side of Wave Hotel. We parked in the parking garage and walked through the hotel and out to the back. You will walk into a beautifully decorated area with lots of trees and lights that will make you want to walk around a bit enjoying the view. Inside the restaurant, the ambiance was cozy and there was a naturally elegant feel to it. From the ceiling to the walls to the trees spaced out throughout the restaurant, it was a perfect environment that invites you in to dine in. Executive chef Jason was personable, with bright energy and made the whole dining experience so fun that two hours flew by quickly. He explained where many of the ingredients come from, and how each dish was crafted. Each dish was intricately and carefully put together. From preparation to presentation to flavor it was a unique experience for sure. I didn't think that I would get full but by the time the course meal was over with, but I was also done for. No more food, no more desserts, and no more drinks. I was content, satisfied, and just wanted to go to sleep. This is an experience that everyone should try for sure. I recommend making a reservation for your next special celebration. Please let me know what you thought of the experience!

So this was our second time coming here. It's very romantic with dim lights and good ambiance. All the food was delicious but this time around I did get very sick that night and the next morning. Me and my husband shared everything except the hamachi, so I think I got sick from the raw fish. In a positive note everything else was very flavorful and good, it is pricy but worth it for a nice date night or celebrating something. Our server was very kind and attentive. Everything was delicious but the corn and hamachi was a skip. We will be back for the steak and cavier that was amazing and the experience, I will stay away from the raw fish next time.

Dining at Nami's chef's counter is both an honor and an unforgettable adventure. Chef Jason is incredibly knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about his craft. He and his talented team guide guests through an 18+ course tasting menu, sharing the story behind each dish, the ingredients, the inspiration, and even Chef Jason's own culinary journey. Every course was exceptional, and every bite was something to savor. While the cuisine is rooted in Japanese traditions, it draws inspiration from cultures and flavors around the world. You'll almost certainly experience ingredients and techniques you've never encountered before, making the meal as exciting as it is delicious. The entire evening is thoughtful, meticulously executed, and unlike any dining experience I've ever had. If you've ever considered trying a chef's tasting menu, make it Nami. You won't be disappointed. It's an experience you'll remember long after the last course is served.

Beautiful, romantic atmosphere, kind and attentive service, and top notch dishes make Nami a must-add to your Orlando culinary bucket list. We started with the oysters which were one of my favorite bites of the night. Tangy, tart, sweet, and salty. Next, we had the madai which was a perfect follow-up as it was delicate, clean, and delicious. My favorite dish of the night were the lobster donuts - essentially bite-sized lobster rolls that were packed with flavor. For the main courses we went with the Hokkaido scallops (note only 1 scallop per order and they are fairly small, so recommend getting two if you're sharing) and the lamb chops. Both were incredible. I couldn't stop going back for more of the sauce the scallops are sitting in. Finally, we ended with a couple of old fashioneds and the matcha/sesame/chocolate cake. The cocktails were great, well balanced and the table side cedar burning really adds to the experience. The dessert was good, but probably my least favorite bite of the night as I felt the sesame, matcha, and chocolate competed with one another. Reservations are highly recommended as it's a smaller venue, although there are a few bar seats so I would assume they allow walk-ins when space allows. Overall we had an incredible experience and will look forward to returning when we're planning our next splurge meal!

The wait staff was way more attentive this time, filling my water every moment it was even half empty. They walked us through any items that we had questions about and was very thorough in their explanation in case there were ingredients that we might've not enjoyed. As part of my magical dining experience, I got the calamari, the meatloaf, and the bread pudding, ALL of which were fantastic. The calamari came crispy and stayed that way even though we sat outside in the humidity. It was dressed in a sweet sour spicy sauce - this was the standout appetizer of the 3 that we ordered. The calamari came with spicy chilis that the waitress asked if I wanted on the side minding my spice tolerance, I asked for it to be as the chef prepares it which is right on top, I should've asked for it on the side because it was very spicy. Fortunately, the spice does not permeate through the sauce and I was able to pick around the chilies. The meatloaf was ok but I can't really complain about a dish that is boring to begin with. Everything was good but nothing innovative or interesting. Very hearty and a lot of food, but if this dish was a paint color, it would be agreeable-gray - a crowd pleaser, filling, and no fuss. I will preface the dessert with the fact that I love bread pudding, i compare all bread puddings to Ohana's at Disney's Polynesian resort, and this definitely met or exceeded that bar. The portion was perfectly served in a mini cocotte, the bread was toasted on the top, gooey on the inside, full butterscotch flavors throughout, it was heavenly as we watched the sun set behind of the beautiful lake where the restaurant sits. The food here has definitely upgraded but my main complain that I had before was the attentiveness of the waitstaff and they turned that completely around. A great place to check out that I will return to many times.

The Curious Cork - Lake Nona, FL A Place Worth Experiencing!…read more From the moment I walked into The Curious Cork, I knew I had found something special! The ambience was AMAZING--sophisticated, classy, and elegant, yet still warm, welcoming, and family-friendly. It was the perfect balance of upscale and comfortable, and honestly, it was exactly the atmosphere I had been craving! I visited on a Wednesday evening and was pleasantly surprised by the live violinist. The music was beautiful, the volume was perfect, and it added such a classy touch without overpowering conversation. Everything about the atmosphere felt intentional. Sometimes you walk into a place and immediately know the vibe is right. That was my experience here! Shout-out to Bo! Bo was knowledgeable, friendly, and took the time to introduce me to their unique self-serving wine system featuring 64 selections--32 reds and 32 whites! I thought that was such a cool concept and DIFFERENT! He also explained the evening's specials, including what I understood to be approximately 25% off certain bottles, and informed me about happy hour from 4-6 p.m. I appreciated that he took the time to explain the options and make the experience enjoyable. Stephanie, aka Steph -- Hospitality at Its Finest! Steph was attentive, welcoming, and aware of what was happening around her. She made sure I was taken care of from the moment I walked in until I left. You could tell she genuinely cared about the guest experience, and that kind of attentiveness makes a difference! I also had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners. What stood out was how engaged he was and how genuinely interested he seemed in hearing feedback from customers. I LOVE seeing owners who are present, involved, and connected to their establishment. That personal touch makes guests feel valued and says a lot about the culture of a business! Shannon, YOU DESERVE YOUR FLOWERS! Now, let's talk about Shannon, my bartender! I hope I'm spelling his name correctly! His service was PHENOMENAL! One of my biggest pet peeves is having trash, dirty plates, or clutter sitting in front of me. Shannon was on top of everything! Even when I opened a straw and set the wrapper down, he promptly moved it out of my way. That might seem like a small thing, but I notice details like that. It showed attentiveness, awareness, and pride in his work. He was quick, professional, knowledgeable about the menu, and took the time to explain the beverages. His pours were excellent, and you could tell he genuinely enjoys what he does. I even loved the little two-step he did while talking about the drinks! His personality, energy, and engagement made the experience even better. Honestly, his hospitality was so good I wanted to pack him up and take him home! And the liquor selection? Top-notch. You can tell that thought and care have gone into selecting the spirits and beverages offered here. I appreciate a place that takes its drink program seriously, from the quality of the selections to the way everything is presented. Pricing will naturally vary, but the overall experience made me appreciate the attention to detail even more. My Rating: 8/10 Why not a 10? I didn't try the food or visit the restroom, so I can't honestly rate those areas yet. I believe in giving fair reviews based on what I've personally experienced. Those are definitely on my list for my next visit! Lake Nona, PUT THIS PLACE ON YOUR LIST! What I loved most was how The Curious Cork made me feel. I came in solo, but I left feeling like family! The atmosphere was comfortable, the hospitality was genuine, and the overall experience made me want to come back. Whether you're looking for somewhere to decompress after work, enjoy premium drinks, listen to live music, or simply relax in a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere, The Curious Cork is worth checking out! This experience has earned a spot among my top three places in the area--and honestly, it may be moving into my top two! Thank you to Bo, Steph, Shannon, and the entire team for making my visit so enjoyable. I haven't experienced the food yet, but the hospitality, atmosphere, and beverage experience have already given me a reason to return. I came in as one person and left feeling like I had found my people. The Curious Cork, I'll definitely be back!

About a month or 2 go, we ordered four hibachi meals for takeout. Two were incorrect order and we were missing extra sides of fried rice and noodles. To make matters worse, the hot meals were packaged alongside the salads, leaving the lettuce warm and wilted to the point of being inedible. When I called, I was offered a remake of the two incorrect meals. However, when I later attempted to redeem that offer, it was not honored. Frustrating, but I decided to let it go. Fast-forward to yesterday as our most recent visit. We decided to give Maki Hibachi another chance and celebrate a family birthday locally with a party of seven. The restaurant itself has a nice interior and a welcoming atmosphere. However, it's almost always extremely busy, and while we've experienced slower service here before, this particular visit was significantly worse than usual. As for the food, there were some positives. The garlic edamame was really good and something I would recommend. Unfortunately, the crab Rangoon spring rolls were a completely different story. At $9 for just three very small spring rolls, the value was disappointing. I couldn't taste any crab whatsoever, and between the portion size and lack of crab flavor, this appetizer was absolutely not worth the price. It's definitely something I would not order again or recommend. For our main meals, we ordered several hibachi combinations, two children's meals, additional noodles and fried rice, and sushi. The sushi, which we ordered before our entrées, somehow didn't arrive until after we had finished eating. At that point, we sent one roll back and let the birthday boy enjoy his. Our extra noodles were noticeably smaller portions than on previous visits, and the additional fried rice never arrived. Requests for extra sauces also took an unreasonable amount of time. Unfortunately, the biggest disappointment was the service. Throughout dinner, our table remained cluttered with stacked dirty dishes and trash. We were left reusing the same few napkins because, despite requesting additional napkins twice, they never arrived. Drink refills required multiple requests, and a refill requested to-go was never provided. Our waitress was largely absent unless delivering food. I understand that restaurants get busy, especially when managing larger parties. However, if a server is overwhelmed, management should provide adequate support rather than allowing the guest experience to suffer. Being busy is understandable; consistently overlooking basic service needs is not. Unfortunately, things didn't improve when the bill arrived. Several charges needed correcting, and the menu prices did not match what we were being charged. When I pointed out the discrepancies and an item we never received, the interaction became unnecessarily argumentative. I even offered to have them check the cameras above our table to verify that the missing fried rice was never delivered. After spending over $250, I was especially frustrated when our waitress made a point of telling us gratuity was automatically included, despite nobody asking. Automatic gratuity for larger parties is understandable, but it should never come at the expense of attentive service. I couldn't help but wonder whether knowing gratuity was guaranteed contributed to the lack of attention throughout our meal. My feedback to management: Please update your menus to reflect accurate pricing, improve order accuracy and takeout packaging, reconsider the portion sizes and value of certain appetizers, ensure promised resolutions are honored, and provide additional support when servers are handling multiple large parties. This restaurant used to be somewhere I genuinely enjoyed bringing my family. The atmosphere is still nice, and there are menu items worth enjoying, such as the garlic edamame. However, the repeated mistakes, inconsistent portions, poor service, and lack of accountability have completely changed my impression. At this point, I don't see myself returning for quite some time unless these issues are genuinely addressed. I also can't confidently recommend Maki Hibachi based on our recent experiences, particularly for larger groups. Smaller parties may have a better experience, but unfortunately, that hasn't been the case for us. It's disappointing to see a longtime family favorite fall this far short of the standards that originally kept us coming back.
