This place is so GOOD and I think about it regularly (although not frequent it regularly, sadly). It's super cute in here and it's got a very sleek and cool ambience. The staff are very attentive, engaging and approachable. (although I will say, they are quite terrible at answering the phones). I've been here twice and I got the Four handroll and added on a salmon roll. First off, they are all delicious, all the fish taste fresh, the rice is perfectly made and the seaweed is so crisp. I feel like I have never noticed the quality of the nori when I eat sushi but I noticed it here because it's so crisp and the flavor is so good, somehow you eat it and just KNOW that it's high quality seaweed. My favorite was the salmon and the yellowtail but all of the options are really good and I can't say there was one that I even considered disliking. We also got the salmon tasting dish and the yuzu sauce it comes in is so good. The salmon is also prepared differently from the salmon in the roll and so it is a different experience, even from dipping the salmon handroll in the yuzu sauce of the tasting dish (which by the way, would def recommend doing). Every bite gave the impression of high quality and it truly felt like an elevated experience. It was also relatively filling considering how little the meal seems. So good, so fresh, such a good time.
My husband and I went here for magical dinning. It was amazing. We incorrectly thought that it would not be enough food so we ordered two more things. I can't even regret doing that because the two things we ordered were the best we ate. Magical dining menu is way too much food, but it does give you a nice variety. I will definitely be going back here and getting the mushroom roll that I ordered extra and the tuna that we ordered extra again. I've been dreaming about that mushroom roll since I left. The team there is very nice and attentive and it's almost like you were watching a show while eating. Everyone said to add the mushroom roll. You should definitely add the mushroom roll. You sit at a long bar while you eat and get to watch them make your food. It makes for a very fun date experience.
So many options! We were the last seats to get the uni special woohoo. I got the 5-handroll which comes with a set menu of bay scallop, hamachi, akami, crab, toro, my favorite had to be the crab handroll. - salmon tasting 4/5, sauce overall was good - daily tastings - truffle scallop was a bit bland, I think what would make a difference is adding shaved Parmesan or more truffle oil. - the akami + kanpachi daily tastings were good, I liked the sauce that was paired with the Sashimi - toro+uni was also underwhelming, the uni itself was good but man the toro just felt mediocre. - black tiger prawn was good - surf clam was also a good option as well Ginger was so good! Drinks were yummy! I had this yuzu lavender drink and it was tasty, the espresso martini was also good. The - prices were decent! Place is very aesthetic, the waiter was nice and did check up on us! However, Hostess looked like she didn't want to be there..lol
Incredible handroll omakase spot. Elevated interiors and great service. We came split a 6 roll set. The hamachi handroll was the best hamachi Ive had. The salmon was super buttery and fresh. Would definitely recommend
I have no words... I've been wanting to try this place for so long and boy it did not disappoint!!! The vibe is immaculate! Absolutely gorgeous aesthetic. The service was also phenomenal. Everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there. The food... insanely incredible! We tried just about everything on the menu and honestly... I can't pick a favorite. Everything was fresh, flavorful and delicious. Make a reservation, there are only 30 seats in the restaurant and you sit right at the sushi bar watching the chefs create. I can't wait to come back!!!
Went here on a weekday in the early afternoon before the afternoon crowd. Not many people were seated - perhaps 4 at most. I ordered a set of the hand rolls and sashimi and tried their specials. Delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. I would definitely come back. Perfect setting for a more intimate date or solo dining.
We came for magical dining and it was the perfect way to try mosonori for the first time. They had a great selection of tastings on the magical dining menu (you do have to ask for it specifically). Everything we tried was delicious and it was plenty of food. I loved the ambiance and that there were only seats for 30 something people, it felt intimate enough without feeling too stuffy. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable and I can't wait to come back.

So, I've been driving by this place for months and finally stopped in today. On a Sunday at 11:30am. Let's start with props for being open at that time on a day when most restaurants are still sleeping from the night before. But here, you can get highly-curated, quality Japanese hand-rolls, with Sapporo or Asahi on draft, all kinds of sake, a calm, soothing atmosphere and friendly service. The place itself is very art-directed, modern and purposeful. Apparently it's owned by the Kabooki Sushi team, and the quality speaks for itself. It's not your typical sushi restaurant. It's hand rolls. Which means, seaweed is the wrap. Theirs is imported straight from Japan. And for the record, the seaweed is dense, flavorful and also way healthier for you than a mouthful of rice. I sat for the omakase which included a very delicious hamachi appetizer. Then an onslaught of handrolls including lobster, eel, a lean and fatty tuna (toro, the best) and a spicy root vegetable of the name I can't remember. In all, this place has great hours. A wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. And flavors that you can explore because the folks there want you to have fun eating the food as they prepare it. It's very live and fresh. And I'm super grateful it's just a few blocks away because I'll leave you with this. The prices are reasonable too. 5 stars all around. But be careful, I hear it gets packed during peak evening hours. Bravo though. Mosonori has a place in Orlando's culinary scene, for sure.
Absolutely love this restaurant ! The hand rolls are made right in front of you and everything is SO fresh. Service is impeccable as there's only about 40 seats at the round bar. Ambiance wise it's very intimate but exciting since the food is made in front of you, and chef hands you one piece at a time. Only complaint is they move fast so our 6-10 courses were done in 45 min
The food was impeccable. The fish was so fresh and delicious with every bite. The atmosphere was giving sleek and elegance. Server were super friendly and helpful through the service. Chefs had the food arriving at a steady pace. I would love to do the Moso Omakase again. The Omakase is truly a great experience.
We went here for my birthday dinner and called ahead incase there was a long line. They don't take reservations, only call ahead. The service was incredible. They were very friendly and kind. They were super attentive and were so inviting when we asked questions about the fish! We opted for the moso omakase and the salmon tasting so we could try a bit of everything and we are so glad we did! It was the perfect amount of food, they timed each roll up perfectly and we never felt rushed or that it was too slow. The vibes here are perfect for a date night or something more intimate. Definitely on the nicer scale for dining in Orlando! My boyfriend and I are already planning our next visit to Mosonori!!

It's walk-in only, and we went around 6:30pm on a Friday and were seated right away. By the time we were leaving, the place was pretty full. The menu is simple and easy to navigate. You choose individual hand rolls or a tasting. Most hand rolls are under $10, and they also offer set menus ranging from about $20-$42. I went with the 5 hand roll set and loved it. It was such a great way to try a variety. Everything was incredibly fresh and delicious, and the service was phenomenal without feeling rushed. This would be an awesome date night spot or a great place to catch up with a friend.

I keep thinking about our dinner at Mosonori this week. The hand rolls and tastings were absolutely incredible, but so was the service! We went to celebrate my birthday and I felt like we got the lucky moments! Two standout moments: 1. We ordered the salmon tasting and when it arrived, there was another bowl that arrived that we did not order. Our kind server pointed it out and said "this hamachi was delivered by accident but it's your lucky day! Enjoy!" 2. My husband's sake glass had the smallest chip in the lip of the cup. A server pointed it out and said "so sorry, can I offer you another bottle of sake on the house?" We weren't going to say no to that! In addition to the tastings (which was incredible), we had the 5 hand roll pre-fixe as well as a shrimp, akami, wagyu, lobster, and salmon hand rolls. The hand roll standouts for us were the shrimp, crab & lobster! We like to share so whenever a hand roll came out for each of us we would take two bites and then switch, it was perfect cause then we got to try so much! All dining is at the bar with tall chairs. My main complaint is that they are stools and not chairs with backs, but that's cause I'm old now. But thankfully there are hooks for purses under the bar top, so I was thankful for that! We had a wonderful experience and I can't wait to go back! read more
Wow I have no words to express what a fantastic dining experience I had at Mosonori. Their speciality is hand-rolls and sashimi style tastings so it is not a large menu. I ordered the pre-set four hand-rolls which included hamachi, crab, sea bream and toro. We also ordered the hamachi and salmon tasting. The seafood tasted fresh and sashimi was mouthwatering. I also ordered one of their signature cocktails, Aga Punch. Refreshing and not too sweet. The place is gorgeous with a minimalist but elevated decor. The seats can get uncomfortable over time since they don't have a back rest. The sushi chefs make the hand-rolls right in front of you. When you get your roll the seaweed is still fresh and crispy ( don't wait too long to eat it). The concept is by chef Henry Moso, the mastermind behind Kabooki. Here you will have an elevated dining experience without the price tag. In my opinion the price is reasonable for the quality of food you get. read more
WOW!!! I had heard about this place from several sources and my son brought up going. A simple u shaped bar with about forty seats. They have hand rolls but not triangles but rolls. See the pictures. Staff was very friendly from the hostess to all the servers, the chefs and the executive chef. All were engaged in making sure our experience was perfect. The bar stools are comfortable and the set up allows you to watch them make the rolls. They bring one roll at a time in the order listed on the menu. They also tell you what it is when they set it in front of you so they are always fresh. No pressure to eat fast. We dined on five rolls and dessert in about an hour. They have individual rolls but I would recommend doing a flight of 4 or 5. I did the four-roll flight and a daily special roll. With dessert it was just right. Oh and dessert was just right. They offer ginger and wasabi and of course soy sauce. None needed. The fish is SOOOOO fresh and seasoning is spot on. The nori adds a touch of salt to complement the preparation. The star was the Tiger Prawn special. Check out the photo. It eats way better than it photographs. It was very good. We finished up with a strawberry crepe cake with miso caramel sauce. Man it was good. Protip: Pay attention to your bill they add 18% to all bills. However the machine is set up to allow you to add up to three, five or seven more percent to the tip. So they let you raise it to 20, 22 or 25% if you like. But not the usual full boat I have seen at other places that have already added a tip. Protip: Reservations are recommended. We got there at 5pm on a Friday and there were folks waiting. By 6pm only about 10 open spots at the bar. read more

An unforgettable dinner tonight at Mosonori. From the moment you walk in, the experience feels special. The space is beautiful, modern, spotless, and thoughtfully designed around a single bar where the chefs prepare and serve the hand rolls right in front of you. It creates an intimate and welcoming atmosphere that makes the entire experience feel personal. The team that greets and serves you is warm, attentive, and genuinely kind. However, Nicolás was truly the highlight of the evening and a key reason why I would absolutely return to this restaurant. His genuine kindness, professionalism, and respectful demeanor made the experience feel exceptional. The way he carefully explained each roll--how it was prepared, the ingredients, and the balance of flavors, showed such passion and knowledge that it elevated the entire meal. His attention to detail made the evening stand out far beyond a typical dining experience. The food was simply extraordinary. Every ingredient tasted incredibly fresh. The fish literally melted in your mouth, the nori was perfectly crisp as if it had just been toasted, and each roll had a balance of flavors that felt precise and elegant. The sauces complemented the fish beautifully without overpowering it. We also enjoyed a delicious Nigori Crème de Sake by Sho Chiku Bai, a smooth and slightly creamy Nigori sake that paired wonderfully with the meal. What impressed me most was the combination of quality, service, and value. For the level of ingredients, the attention to detail, and the personalized service, the prices feel very reasonable. It was a truly delightful evening shared with my daughter and my son-in-law, and it's a place I would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone visiting the Orlando area. I've been wanting to try Mosonori for a while and my experience didn't disappoint! The restaurant has a nice, minimalist design with seating for about 32 guests around the bar. It's a very relaxing and low stress environment. The server was super nice and helpful as I chose my rolls. The rolls were very fresh and needed minimal additions. I highly recommend trying the Aga Punch. I'm looking forward to my next meal at this establishment! read more

Arrived to Mosonori, for a quick lunch. It is a nice intimate spot with only bar situated seating. Best seat is where the chef is rolling the sushi but most places will have a view of him assembling each roll. Ordered soft crab , eel, shrimp and mushroom rolls. My favorite ones were the shrimp and eel rolls . My husband purchased the lobster one which was also really good. All together we purchased 4 rolls each which totaled about 80 ish dollars. An automatic 18% gratuity is included in each bill. Only improvement needed is the order of the rolls coming out . My husband received his first sushi roll, and after 15 minutes , mines didn't arrive however people who came in after us received their sushi rolls along with other people. Our orders continued to not arrive together for the entire time. My husband at there before with a friend when they first opened and it was the same issue . Speaking to him , some things improved but the order of receiving the food and it coming out around the same time needs to improve still. Other than that, everything was awesome and everyone was very friendly! I'll return back for sure as we have a few more things in the menu we want to try. read more

Had a double date and chose to go to Mosonori for some handrolls! Got the 5-Hand roll set menu with Hamachi, bay scallop, akami, crab, and toro. My favorite bites for the night were the hamachi and toro hand rolls. The salmon tasting is basic but always a solid choice. Our server was impeccable and gave detailed recommendations/explanations of the menu. The interior design was really well thought out and gorgeous. From the lighting to the tiling definitely a refined experience. read more
This is a BEAUTIFUL place to have an intimate dinner date. The dining area is set up like a big U around the center when the handrolls and other plates are made. There is a kitchen in the back where the food is cooked and a refrigerator display of meats. It provides a elegant and modern look. The food here is VERY fresh and it's quite entertaining to see the food being prepared in front of you. They give you a golf pencil and a sheet to mark the items and quantities you would like. If you're eating handrolls only, I believe they advise on ordering three at a minimum. My favorite roll here is the crab. They also have sake-based cocktails that are delicious, if you're a fan of sake. The hostess and waitstaff are superb and engaging. The service is great and would make you return again and again. I don't advise visiting with a big group becuase everyone sits side-by-side. This is perfect for a pair or trio. read more

My sushi craving took the best of me the other day, but when does it not! I popped in for a little mid-day snack since I live in the area. Yes, mosonori is a bit pricey... but the elegant, modern vibe and quality definitely justify this. The staff were very professional and informative about the menu as well. I ordered a carafe of the warm sake as well as the Hamachi Hand Roll and the Chef's Daily Special Hand Roll (it was Uni this day... MY FAV). I was very impressed by the freshness of the Uni and Hamachi! I don't think you can make reservations since it's all bar seating, but I think you can join a waitlist through the Resy app during their operating hours. Also to note, there is no liquor here. Their signature cocktails are sake-based. I would definitely pop in for a snack and some sake again. read more

I've seen this place pop up on my TikTok lots of times and I finally came here with my friend to try it. The inside of the restaurant looks nice and I like that the seating is centered around the chef's making the dishes. It feels very personal and the staff here were very helpful with the menu and provided lots of good recommendations. We decided to get the six roll, set menu and order some additional items as well. The salmon tasting was very fresh and a good indicator of the quality of the fish here. We tried a lot of their hand rolls and they were all pretty good. The hand rolls here are a bit bigger than most places. My favorites were the crab and lobster hand rolls. I didn't particularly like the Toro hand roll just because I don't like Toro chopped up. The softshell crab hand roll was also not my favorite. While it was good, it was a bit greasy. I would like to come back here and try the rest of their hand rolls. If you haven't been here yet, you should definitely try it out! read more

mosonori left me asking why the price tag is this high for this much hassle. The format puts you at a sushi bar with multiple parties seated together, which dilutes the experience. If I'm sharing elbow room with strangers, I'd rather book Edoboy. Their smaller-party setup fits this concept better and the value feels tighter. If I want conversation and privacy, Kabooki gives you a proper table without the spectacle baked into the price. Speed is the bright spot. Plates landed fast and the pacing was efficient. Unfortunately, that's where the upside ended for me. For what they charge, I expected sharper hospitality and a more thoughtful flow. Checkout was the low note. When it was time to pay for our bill, the staff member made a face when we asked for our receipt. She came off rude. Food quality and presentation was fine, but nothing justified the premium. I know it's Winter Park, but this place is overpriced hype. read more

What an amazing Experience! This was an excellent omakase experience, and it definitely met and exceeded expectations! I was excited to see them offer a Bite 30 tasting menu. The restaurant is beautiful! The dining room is one large oblong counter top with stool seating with perfect viewing of the sushi chef team at work. The service was excellent! The host/waitress was extremely attentive and friendly. She addressed me by name every time she addressed me (they ask when you arrive) Definitely a five star experience! I did the salmon cold tasting, the Toro Tartare and a few of the hand rolls. The salmon tasting was perfect! I've never had salmon so flavorful and buttery in the states! The fish was delicate and tastes so fresh! The Toro Tartare was perfectly fatty and buttery! It was Smokey and bright! The shrimp hand roll was creamy and delicious, like lobster roll! The crab roll was perfectly balanced and had a wonderful flavor. The scallop roll was buttery and spicy, it had the perfect balance of creaminess and boldness. The hamachi roll was bright and fresh. It was very fish forward with a nice bite from the chives. Finally, the salmon roll. It was fresh and light, another perfect demonstration of the flavors of the sea! To finish the tasting, I was served vanilla soft serve with house made caramel drizzle. The ice cream was like velvet! The caramel was perfectly sweet and salty with butterscotch notes. The complete set was surprisingly filling as well! Typically, tasting menus can be unsatisfying, but the portions were perfect! This was a wonderful experience. This has easily become one of most visited go to date night spots. Mosonori is such high quality food and perfect size portions to enjoy dinner but be full. They do not take reservations but we usually can easily get seating at the bar or will call and check the wait times. All the staff is always so friendly and the bar seating makes it a fun atmosphere. No matter what do not skip the toro tartar appetizer but pro tip, the toro handroll is the exact same base so if getting the toro tartar I would skip it as a hand roll and try a different hand roll! Our favorite is the lobster every time but love trying the market specials. Recently the mixed mushroom handroll special blew our mind and we hope it becomes a staple! Don't miss Mosonori!! read more
Tried masonry for the first time for their hand roll omakase. I was very surprised to not have liked any of the servings! I love kabooki and I know this place is owned by the same chef. It seems because the omakase is on the cheaper end, the quality also isn't good. I don't even remember any of the hand rolls they served because I didn't like any of them read more

I went to Mosonori today for lunch and was honestly surprised to see they were not only open for lunch, since restaurants like these are usually only open for dinner, but also offering their Bite30 menu during the day. I thought Bite30 was dinner-only, so this was a win. Now I'm wondering if other restaurants doing Bite30 are allowing it at lunch too... (someone please investigate) The place has such a modern, fancy vibe: clean, minimal, but still warm (figuratively, the AC was working fine). For the first course, we had the hamachi salmon crudo, and wow. The fish was thinly sliced and super fresh, and the ponzu sauce really soaked into the fat of the fish. So good. Then came the 5 hand rolls: crab, salmon, bay scallop, akami, and hamachi. They were all delicious, but the crab and bay scallop were definitely my favorites. The scallop had this amazing aioli that I made the scallops stand out. The Bite30 menu includes dessert (soft serve, meh), but we actually decided to skip it. I know! We just felt like something so heavy and sweet would ruin the delicate flavors we'd just had. We asked if they could swap it for anything else, even just a bowl of rice, but they said no subs, which was a bummer. Overall, it's a good spot for hand rolls, if you are into them. In all honesty, I am not (I do think they are a bit of a scam because of the rice/fish ratio), but I did want to check this place out because of the great reviews and a friend's recommendation. When you walk in, you're met with beautiful decor and the ambiance is sexy and inviting. We were seated quickly and got right into it. I will say that it takes a while to get your food, as it is made right in front of you. Most things are one biters, so I didn't take pictures because I was so hungry, lol. Everything we tried was so good, but the toro tartare was phenomenal. Overall, loved the food and service, but left hungry. So if you're a foodie that needs a lot of food to be satiated, don't come here if you're starving. this is perfect for a date where you want to be cutesy and demure, not meant for the eaters lol (or be prepared to spend a lot of $$) read more
My friends saw this place and thought it would be a fun spot to grab dinner. We called ahead and caught them before it got busy so we were seated immediately. Also the restrooms were clean! The server explained the menu to us and made sure they were thorough on flavors and what to expect from the experience. I got the 6 hand roll and enjoyed each roll. They were well prepared and overall very tasty. I only wish the rolls were closed on the bottom because there was some spillage from when you eat it and my server took the fish and rice that fell out to toss versus letting me grab it to eat, but appreciated them for being kind and efficient. I wish they offered dessert of some sort, but was happy with the service and would come back. read more
Had a lovely late lunch here. Ordered the 6 hand roll deal. Every piece was fresh and excellent. My favorite was the lobster and has become my favorite lobster roll of any kind. Their hand rolls are cylindrical versus cone shape. I think this helps keep the seaweed crispier. The prices are so reasonable for the quality you receive. read more
The service was really extraordinary and the ambience was very chic. I liked sitting around the bar, but if you had a large group, it might be a little more difficult to chat. Their Handroll means that you need to pick up your sushi, which is wrapped in seaweed. So if you're cool with eating sushi with your hands that's awesome. I prefer to have bite-size pieces. Having said that, the scallop hand roll was wonderful followed by the salmon and the tuna. A limited menu for tea and drinks. read more
