We went for an early Valentine's dinner and it was hands-down one of the best meals we've ever had. The seven-course Jaunt with the F* It** wine pairing was an unforgettable journey; every bite intentional, thoughtful, and beautifully paired. The contrast of textures and flavors was incredible: delicate raw fish, crunchy tartlets, rich tomato ragù; everything worked together so seamlessly. Each course felt like its own moment, and the experience just kept building. If you're looking for a truly special, elevated dining experience, don't miss this place.

I had the best dining experience I've ever had here. My husband booked this omakase dining experience and I couldn't recommend it more. We decided to go with the journey option that was $165 per person. You had a choice to also add a wine tasting. Me and husband don't drink so we opted not to get that option but their sommelier was so kind that he offered us some non-alcoholic tastings that paired great with one of the meals. The entire dining experience was exquisite and the environment that they create leaves you wanting to come back again and again.

Review: A Disjointed Evening at Omo by Jont Rating: 3/5 Stars I visited Omo by Jont last night with high expectations, but unfortunately, the experience landed in "mildly disappointed" territory. While there were flashes of brilliance, the evening lacked the seamless choreography and thoughtful progression one expects from a Michelin-starred establishment. The Atmosphere & Service The night got off to a rocky start. Despite having a 7:30 PM reservation, we stood in the entryway for a full five minutes without being greeted--a significant lapse for a restaurant of this caliber. Inside, the main dining area seemed to be struggling with an AC issue. While technical failures happen, it undeniably detracts from a premium experience when the staff is visibly dripping in sweat while serving your food. The vibe was further dampened by the music, which felt entirely uncurated. I have no problem with hip-hop being played all night, but listening to Soulja Boy's "Crank That" in between bites of a $400 tasting menu felt incredibly misplaced. It felt less like a curated soundtrack and more like a "2000s Hip Hop" shuffle on Pandora, which didn't match the elevated experience we were paying for. The Menu: Highs and Lows We opted for The Jaunt tasting ($395/pp) and paired it with a bottle of Dassai Blue 23 ($180) rather than the wine pairing. This turned out to be a wise move. The pacing was aggressive--seven courses arriving roughly every 20 minutes--which left little room to breathe. The couple next to us had a "bottleneck" of five glasses on their table, unable to keep up with the speed of the service. * The Misstep: The experience began with a Pastrami Steamed Bun. This was an absolute failure in terms of menu composition. It was a heavy, rich bite that felt increasingly out of place as the night progressed, unnecessarily occupying "stomach real estate" that I would have preferred to save for the later courses. * The Highlights: The Crab Uni Leek was outstanding--easily one of the best dishes of the night. This was followed by a very creative Snap Pea Chawanmushi with incredible depth. The Rohan Duck and Wagyu Zabutton were both technically excellent. * The "Wall": The signature Nanatsuboshi Rice (risotto-style) was delicious but very heavy. Coming after that initial pastrami bun, it pushed us over the edge. By the time the main proteins arrived, we were too full to fully appreciate them. The Sweet Ending The transition to the pastry area was a highlight. The introductory "Orange" dish was refreshing, sweet, and highly creative. While the subsequent desserts were good, we hit a physical limit after the Melon course and had to tap out. Final Thoughts Omo by Jont delivers high-quality ingredients, but the flow and curation of the meal felt disjointed. When you are paying these prices, you expect a narrative that respects the diner's palate, pace, and senses. Between the service lapses, the jarring playlist, and the heavy-handed start, this remains one of my least favorite Michelin experiences in Orlando.

AH-MA-ZING! Food is incredible, service is impeccable and overall experience was one of the most amazing omakases I have had the pleasure of experiencing. The menu built beautifully and each bite had depth and layers that was delighted. We also did the wine pairing menu and they were expertly matched. Not something you need to do, but if you love wine and how wine complements flavor, I highly recommend. Despite being small bites, each portion is very well crafted and by the end of the night, I was very full. We actually had to take most of our desert box home. Crazy as it sounds, the white chocolate desert was my favorite thing we ate and I dont even like white chocolate. That tells you how balanced and beautiful each course is. I HIGHLY recommend. No surprise that they have a Michelin Star with the care, hospitality and artistry of everyone at Omo by Jont. Congratulations to the chef and thank you for a beautiful night.

Ômo by Jônt did not disappoint! My friend took me here for what might be one of the best food experiences of my life! We came strictly for the culinary experience & it was honestly mesmerizing. ART. Overall 10/10. Quick breakdown below Vibe check: 10/10 Intimate, intentional, very chef driven. Comfortable but serious, calm but exciting at the same time. Beverages: 10/10 You are greeted with a complimentary glass of champagne & that was truly all we needed. We weren't there to drink, we were there to eat. Side note... it is beer and wine only. Food: 10/10 You have to come with a palate prepared for what's to come. The Jaunt menu is an experience everyone should treat themselves to once in their life. Every course felt extremely chef crafted and intentional. Clean flavors, beautiful technique, and just one of those meals you'll never forget. I loved every moment. Service: 10/10 Service like no other! I felt extremely well taken care of. They refilled our water like no one's business lol. But what really stood out was how knowledgeable they were about ALL food items. Every ingredient, every technique, every question... answered with confidence. You can tell they are proud of what they're serving. Truly unforgettable. One of the best culinary experiences I've had to date.

Food was absolutely delicious. I loved how they move you into another room for dessert. The entire experience was 3 hours. The only thing I didn't like was how they line you up at the entrance. It was like you were waiting a bus. Definitely took away from the fine dining experience.

Omo by Jont is located in Winter Park Florida. This Michelin starred restaurant offers a multi- room experience and one can make reservations for dinner or have a drink and small bites in their Salon. We chose the Journey dinner menu 195.- which included 4 amuse bouchées, 4 savory dishes and dessert, plus a magical box of sweets. We also opted for the Crown melon at an additional cost. Our party chose the Journey wine pairing- 140.- We were greeted with 1 glass of champagne (I prefer champagne chilled.) The Salon is warm and welcoming- comfort and design wise my favorite. In contrast, the main open service restaurant is modern, too bright and the barstools are wide but somewhat uncomfortable to adjust. The room also became hot and the service staff brought in a fan. Their music was playing loudly in the background, service staff gladly accommodated us. Starting with the hors d'œuvres I was impressed with every flavor infused in their meticulously crafted design. We did not receive any hot or cold towelettes before handling their miniature snack delights. Was that a service oversight? We did however receive refreshing towelettes between these and the savory courses that followed. I was expecting a bit more with the bao buns temperature-wise, but those details aside all these savory courses succeeded delivering harmony. Chef locked in all individual ingredients and captured the right balance of flavors in perfect synchronicity. Hats off. The plated dessert was outstanding and a bursting surprise of sweetness! The Magical box was our treat to take home. The wine pairings were a good addition, however I was surprised they did little to elevate the experience. I'll post their menu and pictures for your viewing. It was a nice experience.

I have dined at about 15 Michelin-Star restaurants. Omo by Jont is my favorite experience so far. The appetizer snacks and desserts were the best part, but the Magic Box at the end blew our mind. The sake flight paired well with our meals. The desserts were served in a different room and the service we received was top tier. Tracy was the best and she made sure we were taken care of. What a memorable night...

    "the Excursion" 4 savory courses
    Mark S.

A phenomenal restaurant for Winter Park that will surely elevate the local food scene. We opted for the entry-level "Excursion" menu, and it was plenty of food at a fair value considering the quality and service. The 3 menu types (excursion, jaunt and journey) allude to the format: traveling from room to room. In the first room, 8 diners sit at a bar and 8 in lounge chairs. I refused a welcome beverage because the cheapest glass of bubbles on the menu was $40, but apparently it's complementary (this could have been more clearly communicated - who doesn't love a free drink). The 4 bites, each served as a separate course, are flavor-packed and gram-for-gram the best part of the meal. Next we moved to the beautiful chef's counter for mains, the highlight of which was the finale of wagyu. The dish with the most presentation was the rice with king crab, and while we enjoyed the chef interaction and performance of truffle shaving, the truffles themselves didn't enhance the dish (described as winter truffles, but less flavorful than summer truffles). My least favorite savory dish was the kanpachi with tiny soba noodles - just not as enjoyable as the other 3. Finally we moved to a clubby dessert room where a shaved ice Kakigori was prepared - voluminous but light and a good palette cleanser. We then received a presentation box filed with jellies, sweets and chocolates that were all fantastic and demonstrated high skill, much of which was prepared for us to take away (you won't leave hungry, even on the "entry level" tasting meal). The experience ends with a nice take away gift of mint matcha, and also the check, which comes with the somewhat confusing statement that the included 22% gratuity (which is fine) goes to the culinary team (ok?) and anything additional is shared with the service team (wha?). I do understand and appreciate built-in gratuity, but the statement implying that the service team isn't included is a little confusing. Overall, an amazing experience I hope to repeat. Note: corkage fee is a jaw-dropping $100, so not encouraged. The fee was previously waived on Wednesdays, but apparently no longer. Would love to see an off-night or off-season promo like that return.

    Magic Box of perfection!

What a spectacular experience this evening at Omo by Jont! We were celebrating our 16th anniversary and from the moment we arrived we felt special. It's an expensive treat but 100% worth the splurge if you can swing it. The restaurant is beautiful and the meal is an experience. You start in the lounge with small bites, move to the tasting table in the kitchen for mains and another space for desserts. They have fixed seatings and you move as a group of 16 guests. The service was the best... everyone we interacted with was welcoming, knowledgeable and had enthusiasm for their work. The team is a well choreographed group... everyone was working hard but seemed to love it. The wagyu was an upcharge for our selection, but worth every penny. They also talked us into the king melon... really delicious but I barely had the room at the end. The magic box was so special with such delicate bites. We couldn't finish it but they kindly boxed it up. There is a 22% gratuity included but they specify it's for the kitchen staff only. We wound up leaving a large additional gratuity because the service was so exceptional. It did bother me a bit... because I think everyone deserves a fair share of the gratuity pot... but it didn't keep me from giving them five well earned stars. Highly recommend this special experience!

Citrus bomb. Really glad that the server instructed us to eat these in 1 bite! It was like an explosion of flavor and fruit juices!

This was one of the most expensive meals we've had so far. But all I can say is: wow! This experience was worth every penny! The service was absolutely fantastic. The ambiance was excellent in detail even down to the chopsticks and flatware! We liked that you don't just stay in one room-- you have the welcome drink and some apps in the first room. Then they bring you back to the main dining area for the next hour. Then you finish up in the dessert parlor with some incredible desserts. All behind a quaint and unassuming shop sign on a side street of Park Ave. The most important thing in a place like this is the food... and they absolutely delivered in that front! We've been to many chef's table experiences, and this may be the best one we've done in the U.S.! The food was truly an experience like no other we've tried. Usually with these experiences there are a few dishes that fall flat mixed in with some really good ones, but at Ômo the dishes were all fantastic, from the lamb pastrami, to the king crab nanatsuboshi rice, to the Australian Wagyu filet! I realize that the price point is not accessible to all, but if you are willing and able to eat here, I would absolutely recommend it!

This was my first experience eating at a 2 star Michelin restaurant in the U.S. and it didn't disappoint. One thing I loved about this experience though, even though the food and service were top notch it wasn't super pretentious and still felt very comfortable! We chose "The Journey" which was the mid tier menu. I loved that the meal was transitional, with appetizers in one space, main courses in another, and desserts in another. It was fun moving around and experiencing the different atmospheres. Out of the snacks, my favorite was a wagyu croustade which also had Korean seaweed on top... super flavorful and delicious. When it came to the entree dishes the chawanmushi stole the show... it was a buttery eggy custard with uni. This was so warm and comforting and has been my favorite uni preparation I have had! The rice dish with king crab and fresh truffle was also phenomenal. The dessert courses were also super fun; the first was a citrus bomb that burst in your mouth. The show stealer here was the kakigori, which is a shaved ice dish with hazelnut and chocolate. It was incredible. And of course the magic box at the end with little tasters was fabulous; although at that point we had to take most to go as we were pretty full! This was an incredible experience and definitely was worth it!

We came for my birthday and had a wonderful time. The experience was interesting traveling through the living room to the kitchen to the parlor. Staff was beyond friendly and the food was prepared beautifully. It was a unique menu that wasn't only raw. It was the perfect combination of different foods. They also sent me home with the cutest box of dog treats for my fur babies

So if you're a long time Central Florida resident, then you know that street is very walkable and super cute with the park nearby but also high end. I mean it has a Williams Sonoma, like casually. The restaurant is located at 525 S Park Ave, Winter Park, FL 32789. My boyfriend did get the reservation I think about a month in advance. It very much surprised me as one of my goals is to try new places in Orlando, and this was one that he had been to that I hadn't been to. So A++++ for him. So the restaurant had a super nice atmosphere but was very booked out. There were heart balloons at every table. So the decor was absolutely in the room with us lol. The service was very nice and I feel that they were very attentive and almost felt like maybe they had been trained to provide a certain feeling to customers. I'm sure they had been. Getting into the food, I'm not sure what the bill was. I wasn't allowed to look at it. I will say that I'm sure it was at least $100. I did leave feeling very full, but I do feel like that's a lot of money for me to feel full. We ordered the Misoyaki Butterfish, which was a Miso-glazed Chilean sea bass on a plate with ginger-sake eggplant, butter garlic sautéed spinach, and Japanese potato purée. It's a large plate and we did share, but it was not the whole fish. I think if I pay $45 for a fish, I want the whole fish. My rating is 8.5/10. It was incredibly delicious, but I want the rest of my fish. We also got the Kanpungi, which was fried Korean style boneless chicken bites smothered in a spicy soy sauce glaze. My rating of this is 9/10. I think it was great and was very filling for an appetizer. We accidentally ran into our friends at the restaurant, who had sent us a bottle of sake. The sake was great. We sent back a non-alcoholic cocktail they had and a sake based cocktail. I couldn't tell you what it tasted like, but the service presented and delivered back and forth between our table in a manner I can only describe as carrier pigeon-esque. They did great. I love fanfare. I think for a first date, this is a great place to bring someone you have been talking to for a little bit and want to show that you have a good stable job in this economy and like foods outside of American food. I wasn't on a first date as a note lol. My overall rating is 7.5/10. I mean I think everything was great, but that price stabbed me a little. My boyfriend did suggest to me that it would have been a higher rating if we had gotten one of the rolls. So that's on me. It is in a great walkable neighborhood though. So you are getting charged for ambiance.

The place itself is very art-directed, modern and purposeful. Apparently it's owned by the Kabooki Sushi team, and the quality speaks for itself. It's not your typical sushi restaurant. It's hand rolls. Which means, seaweed is the wrap. Theirs is imported straight from Japan. And for the record, the seaweed is dense, flavorful and also way healthier for you than a mouthful of rice. I sat for the omakase which included a very delicious hamachi appetizer. Then an onslaught of handrolls including lobster, eel, a lean and fatty tuna (toro, the best) and a spicy root vegetable of the name I can't remember. In all, this place has great hours. A wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. And flavors that you can explore because the folks there want you to have fun eating the food as they prepare it. It's very live and fresh. And I'm super grateful it's just a few blocks away because I'll leave you with this. The prices are reasonable too. 5 stars all around. Their wings are so crispy, I think they're some of the best wings I've had. I also highly recommend their Tokyo Ramen. The chicken thighs in the ramen are crispy and have great flavor. I only wish there was more broth because it was so yummy. Food came out fast and service was great.

Amazing Japanese spot!!…read more Once you enter, you are met with a huge seating area including a bar where you can only get drinks. Most people in there are waiting for a table inside the main restaurant. Once we got called back, we sat at another bar area where you can see the kitchen. Very interesting layout. We started with the famous domu wings and I seriously will be thinking about the wings until I go back. So much flavor in those things. I love that the noodles are made in house so I wanted to try the ramen of course. I got the Richie Rich ramen which was tasteful but I wish you could choose to add some spice in it. Still great though. My sister got the tonkotsu with black garlic and she almost ate the entire thing. Also got some shishito peppers and that was also just as good as everything else. I kept seeing the lychee martini being ordered to I got that and it was as good as everyone mentioned. It does have popping boba at the bottom which I loved but I know not everyone likes it so just an fyi. My sister got the Roddy pom. The place is pretty small and they don't take reservations so be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes. We got there 25 minutes after opening and waited 40 minutes. The parking gets filled fast along with overflow parking being full so be prepared to find a spot.

Of the zensai (appetizers), I've tried the Tatsuta-Age, which was pretty tasty. Hot and crispy with good flavor. The udon is also top notch. They make it in house. Perfect chewy texture, what Taiwanese would call "QQ" I realized after my second visit that I still have not tried an udon with hot broth. I've tried the Spicy Miso Tan-Tan Udon, which was quite tasty, although a little on the richer/heavier side. I have also tried the Mentaiko Tsukimi Udon which was refreshing in the cold broth. I paired it with an add-on of sliced beef, which was delicious, they serve it on the side so you can add to whatever dish on your own. What I wouldn't recommend... The Viet Coffee with sesame foam and crushed sesame seeds was hard to drink. I loved the initial flavors but the foam got a little greasy and clumpy when mixed with the crushed sesame seeds, particularly toward the second half of the coffee. I wouldn't order it again. I would be interested to see any updates they've made recently but with so many new restaurants on Mills, I may choose those first.

First off, the setting is gorgeous sitting around the chef's counter. Sitting at the very end, it felt like a private dining experience with my partner and the chefs/staff who were putting on such a show. Each course was thoughtfully explained and presented with such fine care, really making me appreciate each bite and ponder about the ingredients being used. Hearing about the hyper-local farms and what they provide was really unique, while also appreciating the fish, rice, and vinegar they import from Japan for authenticity. Overall a great blend. The food is expertly prepared, though I wish they leaned more into the sushi and Japanese inspiration for the entire evening. The fresh fish and sushi courses were the highlights of the show and make for a peculiar parallel to the later deeper flavor dishes like the braised short rib. Possibly this is averted if we had splurged on the wagyu supplement but still felt like the menu takes a turn towards the end. I can't speak more highly of the service here. The entire team was incredible throughout the entire evening with an energy and passion that only comes with this caliber of restaurant. With Sushi Saint and Perla's now all here, we did notice when we went to leave how tricky the parking lot becomes. Even with the valet, we struggled to leave with cars stacked up trying to park - would make sure you arrive with plenty of time. Overall, Soseki was a great experience and worth its most recent star and price. We had incredible food served by impressive people that made for an amazing celebration.

Definitely made the occasion feel special from start to finish. First off, book ahead. Seating is extremely limited and this is the kind of place that fills up for a reason. Chef Tony runs the counter with a level of precision and calm confidence that you immediately feel the moment you sit down. It's not just about the food, it's the pacing, the storytelling, and how intentional every course feels. The omakase flows beautifully. Nothing feels rushed, nothing feels dragged out. Each piece builds on the last. You can tell there's real thought behind the progression. The fish is pristine, but what stood out more was how balanced everything was. Clean flavors, subtle creativity, and zero gimmicks. A few bites genuinely caught me off guard in the best way. That moment where you pause and just look at the person next to you like... yeah, that was special. If you're going, get the drink pairing. It actually elevates the experience instead of just being an add-on. Everything is thoughtfully matched and enhances each course without overpowering it. Service matched the experience. Attentive without being overbearing, knowledgeable without sounding scripted. The whole room feels intimate and dialed in. Chef Tony made the experience feel personal, not transactional, which is rare even at high end omakase spots. If you're in Orlando and serious about sushi, this is a must. Not just for the quality, but for the experience as a whole.

It's a small lot and you do have to pay to park however, Tori Tori will validate parking for a few hours, which is nice. Because it was a Wednesday we were lucky enough to find a booth with a large table. Tori Tori is an interesting concept because you seat yourself, you order yourself and you get drinks yourself. They do have a wait staff that brings food to your table, but everything is self serve. You have to go up to the bar to order anything you want and get the check. All of the food is tapas style. We ordered quite a bit, including chicken meatballs, garlic fried rice, avocado, brussels sprouts, mushrooms, Korean fried chicken and the Wagyu dumplings. The standouts were the mushrooms and the brussel sprouts both of which were very savory and the brussel sprouts also had a little bit of sweetness. Overall, the food is good, but for a Michelin restaurant, I was pretty disappointed. I don't think it lives up to the hype. The food is just okay and personally, I think there's better tapas in Orlando, such as Bulla.

Limited menu means they have a straightforward build for you. Cold ingredients added at the front; the kitchen does the warm/cooked ingredients, so the service speed is a bit slower than expected but probably good that they're making some of the proteins fresh, at least.
