Let's be real -- an $800 omakase for two (not including drinks) is definitely a splurge, and unless I suddenly become a millionaire, this isn't somewhere I'll be visiting every month. But the food, the vibe, and the overall experience? Absolutely unforgettable. This intimate omakase seats only eight guests, which made the entire evening feel personal and immersive. The chef had an amazing sense of humor and kept the energy light and engaging throughout the night. Because of the small setting, we actually got to know the other guests around us, and the conversations felt natural and fun -- it added such a warm, communal touch to the experience. The entire dining experience lasted roughly three hours, making it the second-longest omakase I've ever done (my longest was a four-hour course in Canada). The meal included multiple courses, starting with beautifully presented appetizers like crab, oyster, sashimi, steamed octopus, and a silky chawanmushi that set the tone for the night. The sushi portion featured around ten different types of fish -- each piece clean, fresh, and expertly prepared. The lean toro was my personal favorite, and even the uni (which I normally don't love) was chef's kiss -- incredibly fresh from Hokkaido with no off taste at all. Throughout the meal, the chef and staff were warm and welcoming, creating an atmosphere that felt both elevated and comfortable. You can taste the salmon in the philly roll, its crazy when you actually taste certain things in the rolls at places because its mostly the sauce on them you taste. I love their sushi, and I love how intentional the entire layout of the restaurant is with the cutlery drawer and the open kitchen style.
