We had not had sushi at Maki in a while. We always thought it was average. Not this time!!! They really upped their game. We had 3 rolls to go sans allergens, beautifully packaged and all instructions followed perfectly. Highly, highly recommend!!!! I am so excited to have a great casual sushi option in Lake Nona.

Ive been coming since 2024 trying to try all the menus and never had a miss! Great ambiance for having a good time with your friends or family. (Bright/elegant) I personally would recommend the hibachi if you're feeling hungry, but the sushi dishes are great too. Do note that service can be slower at busier times. Bit on the pricier side but not terrible if you're coming once in a while!

Absolutely still amazing with excellent customer service and fast service. Always happy to bring family here. We love the atmosphere and the rolls are my best in the area. Even with a fish allergy they are able to accommodate me with 'cooked' rolls. Yay!!

Sunday afternoon my husband and I had a morning of cleaning and then headed out for some shopping and lunch. At first we thought we'd just drive through some Cane's but I really wasn't feeling the heavy greasiness of it and desired something more light and refreshing. We came across Make Hibachi and said, "Lets try it" a sushi roll would be perfect. Upon entering we were greeted and sat right away. They have an extensive menu so I was glad it took our server Steven a moment to get to us. Not pictured, I ordered a peach green tea smash and it was delicious! Refreshing, flavorful and not too sweet. We reviewed the menu and were surprised at the combinations of sushi we'd never seen before. The Voodoo roll features avocado, tuna, masago, eel sauce, scallions and tempura flakes and then topped with tons of baked spicy crawfish. It was so good I had to stop myself from eating the last one because I knew my stomach couldn't fit anymore. We also split the sexy lobster roll, which features coconut fried lobster, spring mix, avocado, asparagus, masago, eel sauce and white sauce. The presentation left us in awe showing us the complete lobster tail they used to fill the roll with. It's a huge roll, so much so that we had leftovers between the two we ordered. We really enjoyed Maki's food, and they also play a really nice lo-fi music that's upbeat while we talked and enjoyed our lunch date. Steven was a great server who was attentive and gave great service. Additionally, I was looking at the hours and love how they're open till 10pm sun-thurs, and 10:30 on Fri and Saturday. We're always trying to think of places to eat that are open a little later and have healthier options, so now we know Maki Hibachi is a great one for future reference. When I'm in the Lake Nona area and in need of a meal, I'll definitely be thinking of Maki Hibachi and next time I'll try some of their hot food options.

We went for the lunch special and the sushi was AMAZING! Services was excelente, and the food came out quick, the atmosphere was very relaxing and nice to have conversation. Still craving some more!!!

Such a great local spot. The decor is modern, clean and well lit with soft music in the background. Perfect for lunch or dinner. They do close between lunch and dinner so something to keep in mind. I ordered two rolls, orange bowl roll and atom bomb roll. Both were very tasty, temperature was perfect. The parking can be a little difficult around peak times. Service was good but as it got busier, we kept missing our server. All in all, a decent experience and I would return to try other rolls and the hibachi.

Well, I thought before I would go to Walmart I would have some lunch so I saw this place. I think it's safe to say that lunch really didn't agree with my stomach. It was tasty. It was good. Staff were nice. Very clean place. Although my Meal was quite nice I'm not exactly sure what set off my stomach. I don't know if it was the Ramen or maybe it was simply the water I don't know, but I wasn't feeling too particularly great when I left

Went here last night for date night Monday and it was amazing! I was craving some sushi/raw fish and my hubby doesn't care for that so I was happy they also had hibachi which is his favorite. The poke bowl was really good with their house made spicy lemon-garlic sauce I poured over it. The drunken tuna appetizer was also very tasty. The flavor in the hibachi was great as well. Our server was so sweet and explained the menu items, she even recommend the drunken tuna app as well. I will be back since it's nearby!

Once again, we are in this neck of the woods and had a date! I think from now on when my husband picks me up from the airport this is where we're always gonna go. The food was super yummy. The only thing that wasn't the best was the miso soup. It was kind of bland, but everything else was delicious. The waiter was spot on and had our food out very quickly.

MAKI MAKI | hibachi at maki hibachi was a pleasant surprise. We arrived at the tail end of the lunch hour on a weekend afternoon (2:15pm), just in time for the lunch special, available from 11am-3pm daily. What a deal the lunch special is, although the regular menu is also fairly priced. I couldn't decide between sushi and sashimi so I got both - with the sushi-sashimi combo for $18 - which comes with 6 pieces of sashimi, 3 nigiri and a spicy tuna roll. I also eyed the hibachi from my sushi plate - will probably order that next time. The lunch pricing for the hibachi is also super reasonable. All lunch options come with either miso soup or salad. The raw fish was very fresh and good quality for the price. Definitely recommend for a quick and easy but not just a fast food lunch!

Hubs had a craving for sushi but that's not new! We tried this place and sadly I forgot to take more pics. Sorry folks He had sushi topped with mango and some miso soup. Both great choices! The server was not bad but could've been more attentive since it wasn't crowded. But still good. Decor simple and minimalist with neutral colors which make you feel relaxed and comfortable. Overall price and food were delicious.

Think chill Miami energy meets Japanese-inspired cuisine. We started with warm hand towels and airy rice chips with a tahini miso paste that honestly set the tone for how good the rest of the night was going to be. Starters included spicy Hamachi Maki, salmon crudo, and a cucumber salad in a sauce so good we kept it on the table to dip everything else into. Drinks were a highlight too. I had a passionfruit mocktail, refreshing and fizzy. My fiancé went with the Japanese-style highball, made with a specialty machine that only three locations in the state have. Super light, smooth, and you feel it way before you really taste it. For dinner I had the Chilean Seabass, easily top two ever, served with a beet radish that was way better than it sounds. My fiancé had the ribeye with wasabi mash and baby corn with crème fraîche. Both were incredible. Dessert was a hazelnut vanilla ice cream situation that reminded me of Ferrero Rocher in gold flakes. Warm, cold, crunchy, creamy, every bite hit differently. Our server Haley was amazing, attentive, knowledgeable, and sweet. We ended the night with a caramel fudge in edible wrapping which was such a cute touch. Foodies, this one's for you. Go.

The outside patio was nice as there was a breeze and each table had fly prevention fans on the tabletop which was excellent. They have a decent sized menu and they do offer some larger entrees to share which we will have to return to experience. This is a definite recommend and a place we will return to. Beautiful area that this restaurant is located in within the Lake Nona Med Center. Outside the restaurant in the courtyard there were several vendors set up selling things for Mother's Day. This itself was a beautiful area to spend time in. Free parking via garage.

Sushi Tomi is one of the original secret Asian American staples of Orlando that opened in 2013 back when Orlando was known as Mickey Mouse's backyard. It's decently priced, albeit far, and provides a nice sense of comfort. We went on a week night and they were still super busy. Located closer to East Colonial area, it's at 8463 S John Young Pkwy, Orlando, FL 32819. Their claim to fame are their bento boxes and different lunch and dinner sets, which is to say you will leave full with a balanced meal. I won't lie, I have been wanting to go for the longest time. I felt like some kid pressing his face up against a window, just watching everyone go and enjoy their meal. So this was really great for me, personally. I got their dinner tempura and sushi set. The set came with miso soup and salad as well as a variety of meats and veggies that had been tempura coated and fried with a side of rice. I also ordered a sparkling jelly sake drink, a tamago nigiri and eel nigiri. My overall portion costed about $45 without tip. The set gets a 8.5/10 rating from me. I kinda wish I just went with the tempura set instead of trying to have the best of both worlds. Not that the sushi was bad or anything, but the tempura was really the star of the show. It was so fresh and crispy and light and amazing with the sauce they served it with. The sushi was fine and well made, I just had heart eyes for the tempura. The tamale nigiri and the eel nigiri was good, but not the best I have ever had. They had other things on their menu, but I really recommend going here for Japanese basic meals or comfort meals. I think it's not dazzling, but provides you with a sense of comfort. Not to mention the service was amazing, and it truly was authentic and not gentrified. My overall rating is 9/10 for the whole experience. I will be back whenever I am in the area.
