Pina Colada Roll , Nona Sweet Potato Roll
    Rachel W.

I came across Nona Sushi when I was trying to plan a dinner with my mom and I'm so glad I found Nona Sushi! The service was great and our waitress was very kind - she gave good food recommendations! I got the Pina Colada roll and the Nona Sweet Potato Roll, while my mom got a regular sweet potato and the volcano roll. The garlic edamame was TO DIE FOR!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Also the restaurant was very calm and serene.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I will definitely go back here when meeting my mom for a nice dinner!

What I liked: Very Friendly service Quick cooking time What I disliked: Small portion Not worth $12. Bad value. Poor effort meal. Not feeling the love. Tastes like maruchon ramen from Walmart. NOT YAKISOBA I want my money back

This was my first time checking out this place and I was pleased with my time. I think they had a very good lunch special menu and their food was pretty decent. The restaurant was pretty empty when we went and we were sat near the window. The dining room is pretty low key, not too many decorations or anything. The food was okay, pretty standard for a sushi restaurant but if you are in the mood for sushi and live in Lake Nona I think this is a great place to go to! The lady waitress was really nice and sweet!

The fried rice lacks the flavor it used to have. I'll pass.

Nona Sushi has fallen off a bit. I came for some of the fried rice I used to love so much, and left feeling disappointed. The flavors are just gone. It's no longer worth the price. I don't eat sushi, so I can't speak to that. It might be amazing, but I'll never know. Thankfully Durian Durian in the same plaza still has great fried rice. I'll be going there.

While to food is good. The garlic edamame is amazing. I can't in good faith leave a positive review. I walked in to pick up a very large order the other day and aside from the fact that it wasn't ready on time... the two men rolling sushi were not wearing masks and gloves. One man had an ill-fitting mask with no gloves handling food and rolls with his bare hands. The other than gloves on and no face mask. I believe on of them is the owner. We're in a pandemic. For the love of everyone's safety- wear proper protective equipment! And, avoid eating here if you care about your health.

Excellent, unassuming and wonderful find. Great variety and fine value tasting menu. Exciting food with great presentation, service and inventiveness. It wasn't crowded the food came out in a timely manner and the Sake I had was so strong I was literally feeling tipsy after one cup, the menu selection had a large variety for only the lunch menu. Overall I recommend this place if you want something quick to eat. I was so impressed with my lunch this afternoon I tried the Yakisoba Shrimp Noodles and my girlfriend got the Spicy seafood noodle soup . We both finished our whole plates and were so impressed with the quality of the food and the short amount of time it took to receive it. Our waitress was sweet and helpful. I will definitely be back!" Only reason I'm giving this place a four star is because of the stench it had as we walked in. Once that is fixed this place will be awesome !

    Delicious rolls from Nona Sushi!

I am blown away by the current rating. The food is so delicious, fresh, and the service is friendly. We come here at least once a month and they are always busy. We went with friends to Seito's in Dr. Phillips and totally regretted paying the money, and wished we could have spend that at Nona Sushi.

This was incredible!!!! Go there!!! Do not pass go!!!! The food was delicious and timely!!!

It's a MUST DO, sushi restaurant!! GO GET IT!! You will not be disappointed!!! It was some of the best I have had, and I travel the world!

Great experience here! Came on Mother's Day, they were totally packed but we were able to grab a table. Service was prompt and friendly. We had 3 miso soups which were delicious. Then we ordered the super crunch roll, jade roll, pirate roll and dynamite roll. They were all so delicious we had to order another super crunch and jade roll! Prices are reasonable. I highly recommend if you are looking for great sushi!

Service is great food is yummy! My kids ordered the chicken nuggets, fresh chicken coated in panko! I ordered the nona bomb, nona hamachi and sunrise roll, so delicious.

Overall impression: Great service. Sushi is good. Good selection and great happy hour. Average price: $15-25/meal For cheap sushi places, this place is actually very good, especially when compared to other sushi places around the area. I have a feeling they even have actual Japanese people working here, which is not often the case with most of the other sushi places around here. From the start, we had amazing service. My wife can't eat gluten and has a bunch of other food allergies and they were more than accommodating for her, substituting for ingredients that were sometimes even more expensive than the listed ones. This was true even off the happy hour menu. Speaking of which, their prices are very reasonable and even more so during happy hour, where they have a quite a few rolls for anywhere from 25-40 percent off, as well as deals on alcohol. Very good experience here.

The restaurant and bathrooms are always clean, which is something I really appreciate. They also have some really cool murals on the walls that add a lot of character. The ambiance is a little dark inside, but it gives the place a fun, laid back vibe. My only suggestion would be to offer their lunch specials for online ordering. Since they don't take phone orders, anyone with a short lunch break has to place their order in person and wait, which can be a bit inconvenient, especially when you don't know how busy they are. Overall, it's a great spot with tasty food, a unique atmosphere, and a clean, welcoming environment. I'd definitely recommend giving it a try!

Stopped by for a quick lunch with my mom. This place was pretty easy to find. You can park along…read morethe street or in the garage which it is attached to. They have a little sign by the street to help you find it/advertising, as it's in the hallway of the plaza. It's on the ground level so we didn't have to take any stairs or elevator. Upon entry, there was no one to greet us. We headed to the register where they had a bunch of menus and pictures. While we were looking, the lady came out from the back with food items for someone who was already seated. Everything looked good. There was a guy waiting for his order to go, another guy waiting to eat by himself, and another lady also waiting to eat by herself. There was some interview going on between two guys- sounded like it was about the restaurant as I heard them talking about kimchi fried rice. It sounded so good, I ordered that with shrimp. Mom had the bento box lunch. We asked for two cups for water, which she said she would bring to us. We sat for awhile, and saw the others and the to go person get their food. The water cups did not come until after she brought us our food. Maybe that's the way they do it? Anyhow- our food was out in a reasonable time and everything was delicious. I tried some of mom's beef bento box- she got the bulgogi beef and we were both a little shocked that it was ground beef and not thin slices, but the flavor was spot on. My mom did not finish her lunch and I had a small portion of rice left. When I asked for one to go box- the lady almost seemed upset that I didn't want two! She asked me what about my leftovers? To which I said my mom was taking everything in one box. lol. We don't like to waste and I wasn't going to toss mine but it seemed silly to get another box for the little bit of rice I had. So we put it all in one. We paid at the register and took our box. There are many more items on the menu I'd like to try. My mom was pretty impressed with the place. It's nothing to look at, really, but the food is good and she will probably bring her friends here for lunch.

Lucky for us Nifty's spot was right around the corner from our hotel. Once we entered we were immediately greeted by the owner. She was so nice! It was great having a conversation with her. She recommended the Gochujang ramen: spicy, sweet, creamy & umami. It was everything I wanted in a bowl. I ordered with beef bulgogi - the boiled egg was perfect and soft.
