Most impressive was the stir fry noodles which actually were cooked perfectly. Not slobbered with sauce. Not gloopy. They were almost dry as the sauce was absorbed into the noodles as it should be. I got hibachi and it also was perfect for what it is. The decor is great with those cool coi fish lamps. And service was spot on. Plus they were playing anime "Muzak". You know it matters, if you're spending hard earned money you shouldn't have to eat on picnic table like furniture. Well, at least I think so... The food selections allow for budget conscious people like me, plus there are other items on the menu if you're looking to splurge, which I bet are amazing. We had a mix of appetizers, shrimp tempura and sushi rolls -everything was great! The place is located in East Orlando at the end of 408, just off E. colonial. There is usually only minimal traffic in this area, and Nomi had plenty of parking out front. We all agreed, Nomi will be our go to place for casual Japanese dinners.

First off this chicken karaage (Japanese style fried chicken) was perfection. So crunchy on the outside and tender and juicy on the imside. There is a process to making this and they did it so right!. Next the clear soup and miso soup. Both rich and flavorful one of the best clear soups I have tasted. The crab rangoon I think was made in house, very tasty and super crunchy and warm. The hibachi chicken and shrimp with fried rice were so good! The sauce was very well balanced and thick and the meat was lightly seared but not over cooked, bringing out the flavor. The place is nicely decorated and clean. Casual but good enough for a date. And the staff was nice prompt to answer questions and anticipated our needs. She seemed honestly excited to see us enjoy our food. As we walked in the greeting which was given made us feel comfortable. It's decorated very nice and it's clean. They have specials for your Sushi and Lunch Specials. We ordered Chicken, Steak&Shrimp, Steak and Chicken plus I added a Salmon on the side. The steak was over cooked for it to be medium, the chicken was flavorful and the Salmon was good but small in size. The rice was good but the Yum Yum sauce was everything. I'm very particular about my hibachi rice and it wasn't my best but it was okay. I do give them a 9 out of 10 though.

Foodoko is INSIDE the huge VA building Patriots Cafe so it's not really a easy park and a few steps into the place. It'll take you to go through the gates and then go park either at the lot or in the garage to get to the cafe. Once inside look for the Patriots Cafe and it'll be towards the back of the cafeteria. The VA is a busy place taking care of lot of veterans so take into consideration when you want to venture inside. It a amazing building though. I think overall its a great addition to the VA cafe with better than grocery store sushi. I might swing by around to try a sushi burrito sometime.
