Very polite service and their sushi always hit the spot!! Love this local spot in Southchase

Jannina made my visit quick easy and pleasant. I ordered off the happy hour menu right before seven and received my food in less than ten minutes. I ordered two spicy tuna rolls on the happy hour and a Krab Rangoon on the regular menu. I HIGHLY recommend the sweet chili sauce .... Omg it pairs well with everything yes everything .... Even the sushi (in my Opinion) lol. This was the perfect pick me up for a light dinner. The restaurant isn't noisy at all, has plenty of seating and lots of options for booths as well. I can't wait too bring some friends to the next happy hour!

My husband and I love it here! We go at least once a month during happy hour. Prices are great and the food is always so good! We love ordering sushi from their happy hour menu. They offer a variety of sushi rolls at great prices. The chicken fried rice is so delicious too. Service is always great, quick, and staff is super friendly. The restaurant is small but they've made renovations and it looks great! I highly recommend it here!

My favorite sushi spot! The monster roll is the best sushi roll I have ever had in my life. The consistency with this place is unmatched! Always a great experience when I order from shiso sushi. Thank you!!!

I have seen this business grow throughout the years and it has always been a favorite place for me to go back to. I can credit them for starting and growing my love for sushi. I have been able to explore so many new types of sushi and been happy with every choice. I had some of the best fried rice of my life here. The staff has consistently always been great throughout the years. Have never had a complaint. They have remodeled as well and it looks very nice! I will always recommend them whenever someone wants to grab some sushi.

We went and ran into happy hour. They have a list of sushi with four rolls for under five dollars. The sushi was great and they were pretty busy. The restaurant seating layout is a little crammed. They have a lot of sake options cold and hot for sake lovers. As well as Japanese beers. It's great for happy hour or if you're craving sushi. The fried egg rolls are really good too as a starter.

We have been coming to this store for quite some time. And it's has its ups and downs. The recent change of decor and owner change has really made a difference with the way we have been served before. It's a casual and intimate place now compare to the cafeteria atmosphere that it had prior. Sushi it's on top of its game. All seafood taste fresh and made same day. The hibachi it's very good. My family and I enjoy coming here on a regular basis. And we'll be continuing to keep you updated on the food quality at this place!! Jmc

Stopped here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the portions and prices! We ordered spicy tuna, spicy salmon, eel rolls and a salmon hibachi. The three of us were also each served miso soup and salad. My husband told me it reminded him of his time in Japan since it felt so traditional. You can definitely feel the owners care. Spicy tuna is my favorite and I've had better rolls at other places but would definitely return to this place due to the fact that they provide so much at fair costs. PS. They have happy hour rolls all day, what a win!

Shisho Sushi has been one of our faves for years! The food is super yummy, and is always made fresh. Not only are their prices are also on point, but they also provide generous portions. Did I mention they also offer sushi? They have daily sushi deals if you dine-in, and even have an all you eats options. Their Lo Mein noddles is one of my fave dishes to order! I like to pair their noods with chicken & shrimp. Getting their yummy sauce is a MUST, literally goes with everything & it's just amazing! We highly recommend if you have not tried it already, you won't regret it!

Not the worlds best sushi, but def hits the spot when I'm craving tasty sushi for an affordable price. So for what it is-- 3.5,4 stars! Disclaimer: I only come here for happy hour. Two of my favorites are the veggie tempura appetizer & the Mexican roll. Today we had a very nice attentive waitress with fast service and good food... no complaints :)

Came in for happy hour dinner with my son. We ordered a few rolls. Everything was ok for the price it was. Our waitress was great. Later that evening at home I had food poisoning. I think my cream cheese in one of the sushi's was sour. I couldn't tell at first at the restaurant because of the other ingredients and me dipping in soy sauce. I had leftovers that I brought home and tried the cream cheese itself and yes it was sour. I tried to call the restaurant the next day to tell them to check their cream cheese but the line was consistently busy for the few times I called. The restaurant had been remodeled since 2 years ago, the last time I was here. I wouldn't care to return here again. It's nearby home and was convenient at the time.

I ordered the chili temaki, which was cubed salmon & tuna tossed in an extremely light mayo (can't taste it) and togarashi. It had a slight zing, perfect for spice lovers like myself & those who'd like to try spice but know they can't handle too much. The salmon special roll was classically delicious and refreshing topped with a dollop of kewpie mayo and scallion. I also tried the philly temaki to-go, which used raw salmon instead of the usual smoked and it was appreciated. You truly can't go wrong with their Temakis. I would definitely try a different roll next time or one of the combo sets because they have so many cool options. Besides the food being top notch (obrigado Chef Lucas), the service was also noteworthy. Ana and Gabriel were great. I learned that Gabriel was finishing his last week at Touken when I visited--I came to Touken originally because of all the great service reviews about Gabe, so Touken is definitely losing a valuable asset with Gabe's departure. However, the rest of the team is fantastic and offer a pleasant dining atmosphere. Next time I'm in Orlando, Touken will definitely have to be a pit stop.

Sweet: I enjoyed everything I tried. This time since we came so much I ordered a new item. My favorite is the Aburi salmon - it's lightly torched salmon sashimi over rice. I get that every time. I did enjoy the salon and scallop don as well as the tempura don. Sour: the appetizers aren't anything special especially the shrimp shumai. Service is quick and the food is fantastic. I use miso soup as a test for how good a place is and theirs was exactly how I like it, small cubes of fresh tofu, reasonably sized wakame, and not too much of any one ingredient. The miso was a milder white but nicely salty and flavorful. You could tell they didn't just phone it in and open an instant packet. I had their curry rice with a pork katsu and it was one of the best I've had in the area. The curry tasted homemade and leaned a bit towards the sweeter side but with a tiny hint of spice. It came with pickles which were just the thing to cut the richness. I also got their spicy garlic edamame which is my second favorite (Sushi Katana by the Milennia Mall has the best IMO). The onigiri was nothing special but great rice consistency and filled with bonito flakes and soy or umeboshi. There are a lot of dishes you don't find on most menus here like salted grilled mackerel fillet and croquettes. Funny enough there's very little sushi for a place with sushi in the name but I was ok with that because their kitchen food is what to come for. I also love that it has the vibe of a small Japanese restaurant with the option to sit at the counter and give you that "salaryman on a quick lunch" vibe.

Sushi Tomi is one of the original secret Asian American staples of Orlando that opened in 2013 back when Orlando was known as Mickey Mouse's backyard. It's decently priced, albeit far, and provides a nice sense of comfort. We went on a week night and they were still super busy. Located closer to East Colonial area, it's at 8463 S John Young Pkwy, Orlando, FL 32819. Their claim to fame are their bento boxes and different lunch and dinner sets, which is to say you will leave full with a balanced meal. I won't lie, I have been wanting to go for the longest time. I felt like some kid pressing his face up against a window, just watching everyone go and enjoy their meal. So this was really great for me, personally. I got their dinner tempura and sushi set. The set came with miso soup and salad as well as a variety of meats and veggies that had been tempura coated and fried with a side of rice. I also ordered a sparkling jelly sake drink, a tamago nigiri and eel nigiri. My overall portion costed about $45 without tip. The set gets a 8.5/10 rating from me. I kinda wish I just went with the tempura set instead of trying to have the best of both worlds. Not that the sushi was bad or anything, but the tempura was really the star of the show. It was so fresh and crispy and light and amazing with the sauce they served it with. The sushi was fine and well made, I just had heart eyes for the tempura. The tamale nigiri and the eel nigiri was good, but not the best I have ever had. They had other things on their menu, but I really recommend going here for Japanese basic meals or comfort meals. I think it's not dazzling, but provides you with a sense of comfort. Not to mention the service was amazing, and it truly was authentic and not gentrified. My overall rating is 9/10 for the whole experience. I will be back whenever I am in the area.

The chef prepared everything behind the bar and it made the experience feel authentic. I ordered the 6- hand roll from the set menu; that included hamachi, bay scallop, salmon, crab, toro, and lobster. I also tried the mushroom and Yamaimo. Hamachi- Incredibly smooth with a buttery, melt-in-your-mouth texture. Scallop- The individual scallops were tender and lightly seasoned; they were so cute and tiny! Salmon- creamy and tender; the bright pink was also so beautiful to look at. Crab- very much real crab; shredded, but with a nice crab chunks. Lobster- the succulent morsels in this hand roll took me out of real life and on to a beach. Mushroom- LAST MEAL GOOD. Buttery warm, delicious; delicately earthy with garlic that was cooked, just the right amount- not too spicy, but just the right amount of bite. Yamaimo- The crunch was something between a melon and a cucumber, almost airy. It had a spicy kick. Spicy tuna- I don't even like spicy tuna. This was not offensively spicy, like the perfect level of heat. All of the fish was fresh- I could taste the quality. The nori that each hand roll was wrapped in had a nice snap with each bite and it was not too salty. I cannot wait to go back

Two extremely large portions of meat, vegetables, rice, side salad, soup, and desert for only forty dollars ($20~ for each person) My brother and dad shared it and I kept picking at their meat and vegetables because they tasted so good. I ordered two sushi rolls from the same menu and the plating was beautiful. Two large rolls with a bonsai tree and small vase with smoke pouring out of it. The experience felt like a Michelin star restaurant in Japan. I was shocked at the large pile of ginger they provided, and was even more surprised at how good it tasted.
