Fiesta Azul has become one of our go-to spots when we're craving Mexican food. It's a larger restaurant with a bit of a chain-restaurant feel, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The menu has plenty of variety at different price points, and it's hard to beat the value. My wife and I can split a fajita for one, each enjoy a margarita, and still get out for under $50. The food is consistently well-seasoned, the margaritas are excellent, and we've rarely had to wait long for a table. The staff has always been friendly, attentive, and the location right off 192 makes it an easy stop. My one consistent criticism is the complimentary chips and salsa. The chips are usually too thick and don't always taste fresh, while the salsa tends to be watery and lacks the bold flavor you'd hope for. Since that's the first thing every guest experiences, I think it leaves an underwhelming first impression that doesn't reflect the quality of the rest of the meal. Overall, it's a solid restaurant with good food, great drinks, fair prices, and friendly service. If they ever improve the chips and salsa, I'd have a hard time finding much else to criticize. read more

I called Fiesta Azul to make reservations for the following day. When I called the next day, I was told they couldn't find my reservation, but the woman I spoke with was very accommodating and friendly, and assured me there was no problem. When our waitress came to take our orders, she was quite UNFRIENDLY; there was no pleasantries or greetings, and seemed as though waiting on tables was her LEAST favorite thing to do. All of us had eaten there before and the food was good, but our dinners that night were less than par. One member of our party asked if the fish he ordered could be blackened, and was told it could, but the fish was NOT blackened as ordered. I ordered mango salmon and received 2 pieces of fish, approximately 3"x3" square and each about 1/8" thick; the vegetables were overcooked and looked as though they had been thrown onto the plate. I wanted to try something different this time and ordered the lettuce tacos which is something I usually love at other places. The food is flavorful and amazing! Best non-chain Mexican in Orlando. The enchilada fiesta azul with ribeye steak my husband had was the bomb! It came out sizzling on a platter. I had the four different enchiladas, and all were very good with beautiful presentation. Our 21-year-old had ribeye tacos, which he devoured. Server Stephanie was was friendly and attentive. I visited Fiesta Azul after telling a coworker I was craving authentic Mexican food. He recommended it, and I'm so glad he did. We were actually headed to another local favorite, but traffic had other plans. When we pulled up, I realized we'd unknowingly driven past this spot countless times. The exterior is a little worn, so I'd never thought to stop--but I think this might be St. Cloud's best-kept secret! After a long work week, we arrived around 6 p.m. and found the place buzzing, with a line out the door. I figured we'd be waiting forever, but I spotted two seats at the bar and claimed them. Within seconds, we were greeted with warm chips and fresh salsa, and our drink orders were taken right away. My husband enjoyed a delicious OJ canteritos, and I finally got a jalapeño cucumber margarita that was actually spicy. For dinner, I went with birria tacos--my go-to test of authenticity at any new Mexican spot--while my husband ordered an al pastor burrito. Those birria tacos were the best I've ever had, and I've had plenty! Michelle and Pedro were incredibly attentive, even while making drinks nonstop. They both deserve a raise. Came to meet friends for dinner, wasn't keen on coming, but we decided to give them another shot as the last time we came we had an issue with being seated. They made some decor arrangements and took some seating out and changed the look and feel of it. We decided to sit at the bar and have a drink while we wait for our friends. I asked for a Tito's and soda water with lime and it came out to taste exactly like soda water with lime. When I asked about the Tito's she looked at me and said she put Tito's in there I told her I did not want it. Our friends came , the server did not introduce himself but asked for the drink orders. We ordered chocolate milk for the kids our server came ack later and said they only have apple juice or lemonade, we ordered lemonade and he brought us apple juice. The women ordered margaritas with sugar on the rim and they got salt. The food took a long time and the restaurant was nearly empty.. our server never checked to refill any drinks. I ordered refried beans with my meals and I got liquid in a cup. I corrected it and it was corrected right away. We needed limes and had to call someone else to get our server to help us. The server was nowhere during our dining experience... one of the children wound up choking and he was no where to be found. We needed napkins as he never brought us any. I had done some research before coming to see if there was a GF menu, some shared their was, but to my dismay, there isn't. My waitress wasn't the most entune with what a wheat allergy meant, so I opted for a bowl similar to what I eat at other restaurants in the area. The chips are corn chips, I stayed away from the queso, but my party said it was delicious. The salsa was good. Great phone customer service! I ordered the Azul bowl with the chimichurri steak, cilantro, pico de gallo, queso, beans, sour cream, lettuce, corn and avocado. I loved all the stuff in there and I really wanted to like it. But for some reason I couldn't get into it. It was just okay for me. I think I will try it again though. What a nice addition to the Saint Cloud community. There is plenty of parking, indoor/outdoor, restaurant/bar, high/low top seating. The restaurant is bright, clean and open with just the right amount of decor to define it as a Mexican tequila hoise without being over the top. Definitely a more upscale Mexican restaurant. Service has been pretty good and friendly the two times I've been here. They serve complimentary chips and salsa. I havent been too impressed with the flavor and soupyness of the saulsa, but that doesn't stop me from wanting more. Their other inhouse sauces and drinks are absolutely wonderful though. The food menue has a variety of choices to choose from, and sure to have something for everyone. The food is fresh and flavorful. The portions are large and I end up taking half home for lunch the next day. Honestly this was not my best visit to Fiesta Azul. Overall my food was not served hot. I actually prefer to have food served on a warm plate to help maintain the temperature of the food. I had a combination plate, three items $15, with two enchiladas and one taco and I had the Patron margarita. The enchiladas had very little red and green sauce. Enchilada with beef tips had good flavor. Enchilada with shredded chicken had good flavor. Both would have been better served hot and with a little more sauce and cheese. The refried beans had a good garlic flavor. The rice is well seasoned. Again both sides would have been better served hot. The taco was delicious. with well seasoned ground beef and not soggy. The Patron Margarita I received was very heavy on juice and light on spirits (Patron and Grand Marnier). I informed the server I was not pleased with the drink. He asked me what was wrong with the drink, remade it and returned with a drink more worthy of the $21 price. The ounces for drinks are not listed but I was told by the server the large drinks are about 24ounces. Personally $21 is a lot for a drink but if I'm going to pay that much it better taste very good. Overall fantastic food and pleasant service. The shrimp Diablo was fantastic, good sized shrimp with solidly spicy flavor with enough shrimp to satisfy. The steak quesadilla was slightly spicy with a fantastic cook on the meat- spicy with a slight sear. The cheese enchiladas have a good cheese texture and flavor though the side of chicken was a bit overcooked. The pico de gallo is also very fresh! The ambiance is enjoyable, with fun music! From one who has tried many Mexican restaurants from New York to Florida and in over 8 different states Fiesta Azul if by far the best. From the street corn where not a spec of flavor was missed this corn was cooked just right. The hints of seasoning with the bite of lime mixed just right for a tango on one's tongue. The table side guacamole was a wonderful edition to the experience and made to one's desired palate. If one was not delighted enough from the sizzling smells of the fajitas the taste became a circus of joy. Now many Mexican restaurants are know for the mediocre rice and beans with pico and lettuce to marry the two together but the was not the case for Fiesta Azul. In fact the sides only added to a full on wedding celebration. Everything perfectly complimented the main dish with such robust flavors bursting on one's tongue. Then there was the burritos which were pleasantly large and extremely flavorful. Finally although not yet tried one cannot wait to return to try their flaming dish that was lit up with tequila.
