Finally stopped in! Ordered the California burrito with birria. It was okay. The rice in the burrito was very crunchy and it hurt my teeth/gums to eat it. The service was not great either. We asked for refills and that never happened. Our server played on her phone instead at the front. I will pass on this one. read more

Another yummy Taco Town experience. This time we tried the tamales and I will say it has been a while since I had a wonderful tamale that I did not need a gallon of water to wash it down. Very disappointed.. ordered Al pastor street tacos and it came extremely oily and soggy with a very small amount of minced meat that was hidden by the heaps of cilantro and onions. The Elote was not boiled all the way The kernels were still hard and you can taste that it was boiled in nothing but water, no salt no butter, no seasoning. But they put some red looking sprinkles on it along with a bunch of sour cream and it had absolutely no flavor. If they would've added Tajin , It would've made all the difference in the world. The Posole came with a bunch of fat pieces in it, and it tasted as if something was left in the refrigerator without being covered. In other words, it tasted refrigerated stale. This also had no flavor whatsoever adding salt, and Valentino hot sauce was the only way to be able to get through eating it with what little pieces of meat I did find. We hadn't been here for a very long time ever since it was bought by this owner. Everything has gone downhill. When it was Tepeyac the food was amazing. They have a lot of work to do. read more

Listen! This spot is ridiculously good. I've basically tried almost everything on the menu. Service is good for dine-in and take out. It's just a chill vibe in the restaurant. I won't say that everything was enjoyable. But there was maybe just 1 or 2 dishes that I probably wouldn't order again. But I've had every kind of taco and they're always spot on. I also like their Aguas frescas. I like to have the tamarindo mixed with another flavor. Weird, but good. I had to take a break, I literally was eating there almost everyday. But food so good! After hearing so many good things about Taco Town, we decided to give it a try, and are so glad we did! They have a wide variety of menu options and I'm looking forward to coming back to be able to try out more! The food overall was really good! The portions were large and the prices were very reasonable. One thing that was different to me, was that rather than bring out the food all at once, they brought out the food as it was done cooking. My husband had gotten his food first and by the time I got mine, he was already done eating. It was nice knowing everything was made to order, but unfortunate that our meals weren't served at the same time. The restaurant itself is small, but has a decent amount of seating inside. The service was relatively quick too. There were a few girls walking around helping tables, and then also working the register at the front. They were able to assist us as needed which we appreciated. Overall we really enjoyed Taco Town and will be returning! This is a fast-casual restaurant where you can either order at the counter for take-away or sit in the restaurant for waiter/waitress service. We arrived at 7:30 PM on Cinco de Mayo, so I am not critiquing service, as the restaurant filled up quickly after our arrival. The birria quesadilla was 75% good meat, but one large chunk in 1/4 of the quesadilla was very fatty and I couldn't eat it. The pork tamales were good, but the chicken one had too much corn ratio. The esquites were bland, with corn and cotija cheese, but we did not taste lime juice or chili powder. The sangria was strong and flavorful and did not take up space in the cup with fruit. If you want actual Mexican food, this is the place to go!! The first time I got it was during the hurricane outage and it did not disappoint. I haven't been inside the restaurant as I have always done take out but every time, the burrito bowl hit the spot!! (And im pretty sure they make them from scratch, even at the end of the day they tasted great and were crispy) In regards to some mentions of rude staff I've seen, none of us have ever experienced that Nor witnessed it and we all are english speakers. Cheap delicious authentic tacos in Saint Cloud! Great and fast service and causal ambiance. They have so many options for different tacos it can honestly be overwhelming. They have fish, shrimp, even birria! Tacos are street tacos size so a few bites each. They also serve a large portion of chips but it's not complimentary. I felt the salsa was a little bland for my personal liking though they have fresh sauce available at the counter. My son and I stopped for a quick bite to eat before we headed out to a soccer game. Food was good. It came out quickly. Tasted good. I was supposed to get beans and rice with my meal and they forgot to bring it. Portions are relatively generous. My son got a burrito. I ordered their tostada. It was light which is what I was going for. My son can eat a horse and he left about a 1/4 of his burrito to take home. Their chips and salsa are pretty good. A unique taste but good. The two of us ate for $24 or so. Pretty good for a sit down especially when about $4 of that was for the tip. Taco Town is definitely worth the stop. Mexican food is hard to come by in St Cloud, unless you're willing to opt for Taco Bell, Chipotle, or Tijuana Flats. Which are all fine, sure, but not authentic by any means. This place, however, gave me my Mexican food fix. From the get-go, we ordered some agua frescas (horchata and tamarindo) and they were to die for. I used to have to go all the way to Orlando or Poinciana to get either and now there's a place just a few minutes from home! The burrito I had was delicious (an al pastor slathered with cheese) and my friend had the burrito with steak/asada and it tasted just as good. The pricing is reasonable and the locale is very nice and clean inside. It's clearly a family-run business and the locale was clean and decorated in a modern way. Now on to the food, I got a birria quesadilla and it was amazing, the meat was so tender, the cheese was nice and melted - truly the picture does no justice.
