Review update: 3/19/26; Haven't been here since the last two star review I gave and although it was extremely busy, I have to say everything was quite tasty. We all enjoyed our meals, and my steak was cooked as it should, and it was the type of steak it should've been from the beginning. I'm glad to see that they made some adjustments or maybe when I went last time it was just a bad day, but everything was good, I do feel that they didn't give me enough rice and they no longer serve you guacamole on your plate like they used to back in the day however, I enjoyed my meal. We came here on a friend's recommendation, as they raved about the food. There were seven of us, and they seated us at a large table. The restaurant is a decent size with welcoming atmosphere, and the staff was friendly. Our waiter was great, checking on us frequently. I ordered the chicken soup, which came with rice and vegestables. Warm and comforting on a rainy day. My husband had the birria taco, his all time favorite, it was packed with flavor, crispy on the outside and paired with a delicious sauce. All of our friends enjoy their meals as well. I just got back from eating here with my boyfriend!! It was a last minute thing and it was a good one. The place is nice and it does have a Mexican decor going on. The place wasn't packed. We got seated seconds we were greeted by the waiter. The salsa and tortilla chips are good. Surprisingly the salsa was not spicy woohoo on my part. Usually the salsa in other places be hot this one was good. After 3 hours in the DMV I was hungry and thirsty. I order the regular size frozen lime margarita to start off. It was delicious. It had an amazing balance of juice and alcohol. It was good. To eat I got the steak fajita lunch plate with corn tortilla. It was on point. I don't know what it is how they be doing the yellow rice and the beans but is good. My boyfriend got the steak bowl and it was good as well and he also approved of it. Rancho Chico is a good option for Mexican food if you are in the Saint Cloud, Florida area and craving Mexican food. The ambiance here is nothing high-end or fancy, but that is okay by me. In fact, I have long felt that the best Mexican food comes from these humble, mom-and-pop, hole-in-the-wall type places and not some fancy restaurant with an emphasis on ambiance and vibe. The service here is friendly enough and the menu was filled with the usual items associated with countless Mexican restaurants. I went with a burrito and it was an overall decent option and if you are looking for a recommendation, I would definitely recommend a burrito from here. This is a nice little Mexican restaurant located in St. Cloud across from Mercury Marine. The food is always good and plentiful. My favorites are chicken fajitas, burritos and many of their salads. The service is usually excellent and the servers are always there to refill your drinks and give you extra salsa and chips. We came here for a friends birthday and the food was amazing. The service needs a little work but overall terrific food and drinks. Our server seemed a little busy so it took him forever to take our drink orders and then forever for us to receive our drinks. We got our liquor before our water and not all of us got waters. Half of our large group was already seated so the chips and salsa were half gone. We asked for more and they never came until we asked again. Thankfully when they did come they were hot and fresh. Service needs work but it was late at night and perhaps they were understaffed. They made up for it when they brought out piping hot, fresh food and sang a charismatic Happy Birthday to our friend and placed a huge sombrero on her head. Most importantly the food here is delicious, authentic Mexican dishes! The portions are huge. The food is fresh! The quality is superb and you will leave very happy and full. The bastard may not have been the cleanest bathroom in the world but I immediately file authentic gang tags in the bathroom. Portions were very large I totally worth what they were charging. Food also tasted good nothing negative to say here you. The salsa here is a little of the watery side we're not too bad at all. This place gets a 4 star. The place it's little but very cozy. And the decorations is very nice, specially the details on the chairs. We visited in a Monday afternoon and it was not to busy. The server Micheal was great. He was the only one working taking care of more than 5 tables , and he didn't miss a beat! He even recommended some drinks choices for my hubby. Been going here for YEARS. Literally the best Mexican restaurant for the price and portion. You get so much food and it tastes great! I usually get their Carne Asada or cheese enchiladas. I recently tried their steak fajita bowl and really enjoyed it. I can get at least 2 meals out of it. I'm obsessed with their queso dip and love their salsa (sometimes it's not consistent though, depends on who makes it). We have been coming to Ranch Chico maybe for about 6 years now. I was kind of upset today when I realized I have never actually reviewed the restaurant. Being one of our favorite spots for authentic Mexican food and Margaritas, it's a given. This place when we first started coming, was smaller, slowly expanded to adding additional space and more TVs. Their food quality is 100 percent authentic and probably one of the best Mexican spots in St Cloud area and probably in Kissimmee. To me it stands as one of the top 10 in Central Florida, that's just me. Lunch prices are excellent for a quick bite while on break. They are great size portions and the selection is excellent. The drinks are on point and very nice flavored margaritas with a nice selection of Tequila, while still having a full bar to cater to everyone's choices. Definitely a place to try.
