This is a new management team that took over the previous owners. The owner now used to work at pho88, on mills, he knows he's way around the kitchen. We were welcome for lunch by the waiter Henry. Some hot green tea and boba tea gave us some refreshing moments while we decide it on our menu item. We tried various plates including the pho, spicy beef soup, seafoods sauté as pork dumplings. All items were cooked perfectly the taste of each was solid and the layers are so marked. The pho is rich. Clean broth. With enough flavor to not envy any restaurant on mills. The dumplings were super tasty and well made. The spicy beef soup really adds the most traditional of the flavors to them. It was Rich's and flavorful, with all the goodies. The new management has made them a ir de welcoming and traditional. There are various tvs showcasing the food in Vietnam and the various regions. So esthetic. The colors are subtle and soft. We were in the mood for something different, and Vietnamese food always hits the spot. Finding good Vietnamese options in Saint Cloud isn't easy, so after passing this place a few times, we finally decided to stop in. Overall, a really solid experience. The service was genuinely friendly, the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated, and our host was attentive and helpful. The food also came out quickly, which we appreciated. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5--the dishes could've used a bit more seasoning. Everything was good, just slightly on the mild/bland side. Not a deal breaker, but noticeable. Service is always like family. So glad they kept the employees. So there are changes to the Menu and they have expanded their reach and have added some Thai items. I'm not mad at that. They also have more options for the spring rolls. We tried the grilled beef today and it was very tasty and you could tell it was freshly made because it would still warm. I normally get beef PHO but I wanted to try something different and the shaking beef looks really good and it was and they only charge you. I think a dollar and some change to change the white rice to fried rice. It was a lot of food like it always is I couldn't finish it, but it was very good and I was glad to see that the meat was not super salty. My husband enjoyed his beef and the flavor of it as well. Lunch was good and satisfying. We had the chicken sandwich. Normally, I don't eat foods with a hint of sweetness to it. This sandwich surprised my palate. Lightly sweet sauce with a little zing to it. Their appetizer, Tempura was nice and crispy. You can eat tail and all. The only thing I'm not crazy about was the soup. My family and I finally stopped at a Vietnamese restaurant we pass by almost every day, and wow, we've been missing out. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was stunning and welcoming. We weren't sure what to expect, but we were blown away by how flavorful everything was. I ordered the barbecue and it was packed with rich, smoky flavor. My sister tried the curry and couldn't stop raving about how creamy and well-seasoned it was. My son went for the shrimp fried rice and devoured every bite. My daughter ordered the steak pho but didn't enjoy the sweetness in the broth, so they happily swapped it out for the barbecue I had... amazing service. The food came out quickly and every bite was full of bold, fresh flavor. This spot is officially on our favorites list. This was our second time coming to this place. It's a 40 minute drive for us. I could not stop thinking about the sandwich after our first visit. It was just that good.... I even tried the Banh Mi sandwich from two other places, not good! Service was great, the waitress was attentive, friendly & welcoming On to the food: The egg rolls looked horrible, I believe the cook refried them! See pic , we sent them bank because the egg roll was extremely cold in the inside. If I recall correctly the egg rolls were cold inside during our first visit. It seems like the quality of this place has gone down since the last time I visited. I ordered some fried rice ($15) and a milk tea ($9) to-go, and although the order was ready on time, they messed it up by failing to leave out certain allergens and had to re-make it. They apologized for the error and had the order out again in less than 5 minutes. The rice was basically pure salt and oil with limited flavor. The drink tasted nice and refreshing at least, but unfortunately the straw provided with the drink was too short, so I had a lot of difficulty drinking it. Service in this place is going fast down the drain. Severely understaffed no matter the time of day, and they cannot stay afloat with business (dining in, walk-ins for to go and calls for delivery). We had already had bad experiences but we kept on coming because the food is tasty. Unfortunately, we walked in today for dinner before heading to the airport and we had time to spare, but were deliberately ignored and people kept walking through the door for pick up orders and the ONE server just kept on taking the new people lining up rather than coming to take our order even though we had told her we were ready to order. We ordered for starters the shrimp and grilled pork roll it comes with a peanut sauce. It was real good. As for an entry we ordered the combination fried rice with the beef egg noodle stir. So glad another Vietnamese place opened around here! Came here on a Friday night around 6:30 and the place was packed! It's bright and open and so many staff! Everyone is so friendly and efficient. We waited for only 5 min before we were seated. They cleared the tables fast! We got the roll sampler for an appetizer, each one was delicious. I got the Thai tea (good), and husband got the Vietnamese coffee (really delicious, I will get this next time). I got the beef pho (good portion with beef and beef balls, broth was flavorful, not the best I have had but it's very good). Husband got the rice sampler (rice, grilled pork, shrimp and veggies). He also enjoyed it! Overall a really good experience, food was delicious but most of all the staff is amazing! First off I want to start off by saying that there is great food to be had here! I had zero idea what to order since I've never been here but Jared and Margie offered some amazing recommendations. The caramelized shrimp and the bbq short ribs were very tasty. My fav was the egg noodle stir fry combination and the shrimp curry that had the perfect amount of spice for mild. We are experienced in the Vietnamese cuisine, Especially Pho and had a minute of discussion with the owner of the restaurant the Northern and Southern differences in the cuisine . when we first sat down as the owner returned to the back of the house kitchen, we were reviewing the menu. As you sometimes do, we asked the attendant that was cleaning a table a brief question rudely she replied with an attitude , "turn the back of the menu and read it" That nasty disrespectful response left us shocked . Like what ? the fat , older lady with the dark tattooed brows Obvious hates her life and job . Has no business serving the public and Ruined the chances of us bringing ourselves to placing our order as well as ruined the hopes of the day of enjoying a meal together . Eventually we called the owner by singling to him to come to the front of the house and told him the reason why we were not ordering was because of the nasty response of the attendant and advised him to watch the video so he could know how the female attendant was ruining his business . We left after that to eat elsewhere. The restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly, and it's the only Vietnamese place in the St. Cloud Narcoossee area. The food is good, but not something I will crave regularly. I love pho but the pho here is mediocre and inconsistent. Actually so are the bahn mi, sometimes they are full of meat and the pickled veg but occasionally you get like a tiny strip of meat and hardly any veg. The curry is good but very pricy for what you get. The food, like I said, is good. The prices however are not worth the quality of food. I do go here for boba since there isn't really any boba around the area, but it is disappointing since it is always powdered mix and so the texture is sometimes off. Often, even when they are not busy, I have to wait quite a while for my order. I do go every few months when I really what Vietnamese and am not willing to drive too far. read more
