I asked about some drinks--mentioning that Spanish wasn't my first language--yet the young woman continued speaking in Spanish as if I didn't even exist; she even WENT AHEAD AND OPENED THE DRINK to pour it into a cup and hand it to me. I just shrugged and went to take my seat. My husband was dumbfounded. I didn't take the drink, and she got angry because I refused to take it. Aside from that, the flan is delicious. The food was nearly cold--even though it was still before 1:30 PM--and the fried items were soggy, while the rice was salty. Will we be back? Maybe--but only for the flan. read more

Amd the girl that took our order was super friendly. She spoke both English and Spanish, which I find to be a plus. I personally think it is very convenient when a Spanish restaurant also has English speaking staff. Stopped by FL Bakery while I was in the area and was honestly impressed from start to finish. The space itself is nice, clean, and inviting, with plenty of seating and easy parking ,always a plus. I ordered the cheesecake frozen coffee and it was absolutely delicious. It wasn't overly sweet, and you could still taste the coffee, which made it perfectly balanced. I also tried a sugar-dusted donut that was light, fluffy, and fresh,exactly what you want in a good donut. For something more filling, I had the steak sandwich, which had a generous amount of steak and was very flavorful. I also grabbed a guava and cheese pastry, and that was just as good , classic, sweet, and satisfying. The service really tied everything together. The young lady who took my order was very helpful, polite, and made the experience even better. Overall, this spot has a great menu with a wide variety of delicious desserts and food options. The avocado toast is really good, a big part of this is the fresh baked bread. The fresh made orange Juice made from oranges off the tree even though a little expensive is ridiculously good. The ham and egg sandwich, if it wasn't so salty (probably the ham) would also be amazing. Our coffee order was pretty complicated and 2 of the 3 drinks weren't quite right. I would say the prices are a bit high, however the portions are huge. One sandwich will feed 2 people. If you take this into account the prices are very reasonable. And even if the line is long they seem to get the food out reasonably quick. Since I live in the neighborhood I'll keep this review up to date. Had the Monte Cristo today. It was very good but not a Monte Cristo, just a warmed turkey ham sandwich. The bread/sandwich was not battered and cooked at all like I was expecting. read more

Ok, I really wanted to give four stars but I was melting in there while eating my Cuban. It was cooked outside. In Florida. In September. Now, the melting aside, the variety was fantastic, the baked goods are legit, and the Cuban was fire! The Cuban was one of the best I have ever had. The pork by itself was so delicious and tender. The ratios of everything were perfect. You could taste every element as they danced in your mouth. We also purchased a Nutella star, a guava and cheese pastry, and a donut. The pastries were flaky, light, and just slightly sweet. The Nutella star was lovely, I suggest a utensil to help distribute the Nutella since it is mostly in the center (which is fine, not a complaint) so you can enjoy it throughout the treat. I haven't dug into the guava pastry yet, as that was purchased for later. We also ordered a cappuccino and a Java chip blended coffee. Both were delicious and sweetened perfectly. I did not order any sugar for the cappuccino and it did not need it. It was sweet enough in its own and topped with a generous portion of whipped cream. I will be to try all the sandwiches since they came correct on the Cuban. I will try more pastries too. Definitely give this place a visit, but consider bringing a fan if you plan on staying inside. read more

Contamination! Today I went here and was waiting for them to finish my order. I saw a lady from the back bring out a tray of empanadas and she dropped one on the floor. She then proceeded to put it on the counter and then back with all the other empanadas. Luckily I got my empanadas before this happened but who's to say that they haven't done this multiple times. We visited this place on a Sunday morning to enjoy breakfast with family, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. What started as a promising business--promoted heavily with help from government officials, family, and great marketing--has taken a turn for the worse. The staff, particularly some supervisors, were rude, sarcastic, and clearly in need of basic customer service training. This morning, the place was packed with people ready to enjoy breakfast, buy bread, or have coffee with their families. As each customer approached the cashier, they were told last minute that the business was only accepting cash--no signs posted, no prior notice. The explanation? The owner decided to do "system upgrades." It wasn't just the inconvenience--it was the attitude from the cashier and supervisor that upset most customers. Several people left without buying anything and made it clear they were unhappy. Some even said, "Tell the owner this is not how you treat people." Sadly, this is how many once-promising places in Kissimmee and Orlando lose their loyal customers: poor service, poor communication, and a complete disregard for customer experience. Recommendation: If you're looking for great Puerto Rican breakfast or sandwiches with good service, skip this place and go to El Meson--locations in Lake Nona, Lee Vista, Orange Blossom Trail, or Osceola Parkway are consistently better. read more

Today at around 1215om I walked in to order and and eat in the restaurant but to my surprise I walked into a club where the music was so loud and obnoxious they you could not hear the personnel calling next to place order. They had to scream over and over "next" so people in the line could approach them. Then they would ask you what to order and you had to scream it twice for them to hear your order. God forbid they would lower the music so they can hear the clients order. It was extremely loud and uncomfortable. You could not enjoy your meal. I asked for a sauce and they only had a ketchup and mayo mixture... not even hot sauce which I thought was odd for a breakfast place to not carry. The desserts are beautiful but I've been to better bakeries. The spoons are also like ladles so it's difficult to eat. The beef and steak empanadas were SO good but, once again, they need a sauce. I ordered a steak empanada and they didn't give it to us when the order was up so I had to go ask for it. They ended up giving me a beef one instead so I went back up and asked again and they gave me yet another beef one. I went up another time and they finally got it right and gave me the steak.
