I will be honest this has always been just an OK place for Chinese food in central florida however they were so nice and helped me pick the best variety of dishes. They were on time and even gave me some utensils, napkins, and sauces! Their Party Trays were great value over other places or even cooking dishes ourselves and their service put them over the top! In the St. Cloud/Harmony area there are a few Chinese food restaurants, but China taste is by far my favorite. The Singapore Mei fun is a little spicy and so tasty. I highly recommend it. The Dragon and Phoenix is my favorite menu item. My dad loves the house special egg fu young (I am not an egg fu young fan.) the wonton soup and chicken rice soup are good too. I love the chicken and rice when I am not feeling well. The orange chicken sauce actually has orange peel in it! My picky eater loves it. One distinguishes China taste from the other Chinese food places in the area is the fact that I actually get a large serving of meat and veggies in my dishes. Fortune site is pretty decent. Steamed dumplings are wonderful. That is one thing I can't stand is a cut in food service. The wonton soup taste like they just cut up green onions and let it boil and chicken broth with steamed dumplings. The broth was very yellow colored. It was kind of dark. My husband and I ordered to-go for a late dinner because we moved to the area recently and haven't been able to try a lot of the Chinese/asian restaurants here. Ordering two dishes, a soup and two egg rolls, and $30 later, we came home to open what could only be explained as a rushed, unseasoned, uncooked, and bland disaster. Literally everything looked like a it was thrown into a blender and then into a pot of water to boil, with some raw peanuts thrown on top. The egg drop soup wasn't even edible. Disgusting. I never post yelp reviews, unless I am pretty upset about how bad my food was. I will post the pictures to give you my point of view at this moment. We have been ordering take out from China Taste (usually 3 times a month) for over 5 years but they are definitely on a downward trajectory. Both their service and food are not what we have enjoyed in the past. Just in the past month these things have happened. Three weeks ago, they forgot to put an item in our bag. We had to call. Last week, the Lo Mein was a soggy pile of greasy goo. Last night, the Egg Rolls were overcooked and a soggy mess inside so we threw them out. Since our order was for $65+, we were asked if we wanted 2 egg rolls or a quart of Won Ton Soup. Order did not have the Won Ton Soup in it. The freshness of the food is really not what it used to be. I find the rice to be on the dry side. But still full of flavor that tantalizes my tastebuds. I add a little soy sauce. The first time I had the dinner combination which comes with a spring roll and I had the boneless barbecue spareribs. You're either a lover of them or you're not. Some of them were pure fat which I totally ignored. The crispier ones were delightful. A little dry; could have had a bit more sauce for my liking. But the restaurant was clean and well kept (not always true of take out Chinese places). They have a couple of tables, but that is all. My wife really enjoyed the Flavor of the Chicken and Broccoli, said it was the best she had since moving to Florida. As for the General Tso, I asked for extra spicy..... it was not spicy at all. I saw no peppers with the Chicken, so I don't think they use peppers at all. I would not order it again as I love spicy General Tso. The chicken and sauce were really good though.
