Hands down the best Chinese take out in St. Cloud. I have been going there for 12 years. Huge portions and very good food.

Joy Japan Sushi is practically in my backyard, and it's become one of our favorite local spots. The restaurant has authentic flavors with an upscale feel, and every dish is beautifully presented--on par with what you'd expect from a high-end Japanese steakhouse. We usually order the chicken or steak hibachi with fried rice, and it's always excellent. The Dinosaur Egg stuffed with spicy krab is a must-try, and the krab puffs are another favorite (still not sure why it's spelled with a "K," but they're delicious). Their house salad with ginger dressing is surprisingly good, and every sushi roll we've tried has been fresh and flavorful. Honestly, we haven't found one we didn't enjoy. If you're looking for quality Japanese food without the high-end steakhouse prices, I highly recommend Joy Japan Sushi. Just do me a favor... don't tell too many people. I'd like to keep getting a table!

So I read the reviews of this restaurant and decided to give them a chance. When we went we noticed in was in a Plaza next to Walmart. As we walked in the greeting which was given made us feel comfortable. It's decorated very nice and it's clean. They have specials for your Sushi and Lunch Specials. We ordered Chicken, Steak&Shrimp, Steak and Chicken plus I added a Salmon on the side. The steak was over cooked for it to be medium, the chicken was flavorful and the Salmon was good but small in size. The rice was good but the Yum Yum sauce was everything. I'm very particular about my hibachi rice and it wasn't my best but it was okay. I do give them a 9 out of 10 though.

She was the epitome of southern hospitality. Her welcoming and soft demeanor made our dinner great. On to the food. We were skeptical on how fresh the sushi would be. And we were pleasantly surprised. We ordered a variety of rolls, nigiri, and sashimi. The fish was fresh and the serving was large. Some places would put more rice and throw off the fish to rice ratio but Maki upheld a high standard. And the price was all reasonable. If you are in the area, you will not be disappointed.

I only ordered green tea, hamachi kamikaze app, edamame app, 2 pc uni, and 2 pc scallop nigiri. The edamame with sea salt had so much salt on top that I picked out few pieces that didn't have too much salt on them (only ate 7 pieces). The hamachi kamikaze app was good, the fish decent quality, the sauce was refreshing. The uni nigiri, they use California sea urchin, it seemed like a few days old but still tasted okay to eat. The scallop was decent too. I won't mind coming back here. Maybe next time I will try their hibachi and kitchen items.

First time here yesterday and arrived just about 4:58 pm and there were already about 10 people lined up in time for their opening at 5 pm. Was able to seat myself right away at the bar and love that the menu is pretty straightforward. They had some usual appetizers like karage, corn but they also have okonomiyaki and fries. But I then I saw they have the Hamburg grill special which I love so I had to. It was grilled to perfection. Good 6 oz juicy patty and very well seasoned on top of rice and topped with a raw egg yolk. It was so yummy. I ordered a few yakitori: TSUKUNE - 10/10 - flavorful and juicy HEARTS - 6/10 - pretty dry and overcooked PORK BELLY - 7/10 - not my favorite. I would have wanted just the regular grilled belly but it felt like thinly sliced rolled belly SKIRT STEAK - 10/10 - well seasoned and tender Plus they have my fave matcha IPA!! I really enjoyed this place that I had to go back the next day for dinner again (see my next review). Highly recommend this resto!!

Everyone ordered a different ramen including the Tori Paitan, Mi So Hot, and Black Tonkotsu. Each one had great flavor and depth. The portions were generous and the meal was super reasonable price wise. Louie was attentive throughout and made the experience even better. We were there at about 5:10. We read they did not take reservations and seated on a first come first serve basis. The restaurant opened at 5 and was filling up fast. It was not long after we seated that there were folks waiting for seats. A fantastic spot all around.

It can get a little loud because they get busy and everyone is having a great time. The space is very modern and stylized.

The food was okay overall, but the quality and service were very disappointing…read more Some of the beef was extremely tough, with too much connective tissue and tendon. The beef ribs were mostly fat and still very tough to chew. The chicken was woody breast, making it dry and very difficult to eat. The rice was even worse. They replaced it three times. The first two batches were hard, and the third batch was actually undercooked. The service was by far the biggest disappointment. Even though ordering is done on an iPad, they still kept forgetting items. We had to remind the staff multiple times before the food finally arrived. Every dish took 10-15 minutes or longer to arrive, yet customers are expected to finish their meal within a 90-minute time limit. This is a Japanese BBQ restaurant where the staff is simply bringing out raw meat for customers to grill at the table. There is really no reason it should take 10-15 minutes to deliver each order. To make it even more frustrating, the restaurant wasn't even busy. During our entire meal, there were only two or three other tables occupied, so it's hard to understand why the service was so slow and disorganized. To make matters worse, an 18% service charge was automatically added to the bill. I don't mind paying a service charge for good service, but charging that much when the service is this slow and disappointing feels completely unjustified. Our bill was over $210 for three people, and that didn't even include any drinks. At that price, there are many better Japanese BBQ options available. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back, and I can't recommend this place.
