Ok where to start...... is the staff very nice? Absolutely Did we get sat right away? Yes we did and we are a very big group! Food is ok not bad not amazing but ok. Only thing is this place needs a good detailing for sure. Floors, walls are very dirty and all decor is covered in layers of dust . Now what we at on was clean and so was the table but surrounded areas not so much. So let's get some scrub on and it be better!

When you go out for hibachi, the experience is 70% show. Fried rice, tender beef, fresh seafood... that is expected. Mizu delivers. The show has some entertaining twists and skillful techniques. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is authentic. Worth the trip to this hole in the wall gem.

I usually enjoy these type of restaurants. This one missed the mark for me. I like to say that I do understand restaurants are going through some tough times with staffing, this makes it important to communicate with patrons. Reservations were for a party of 11 for 7:30pm. We were not seated until 8:11p. After we were seated we did not get a chef until 8:45p. The server was extremely nice and attentive to all requests and fulfilled them in a timely manner. The food was run of the mill, nothing exciting. The rice was bland, the vegetables over cooked. The noodles were just ok. The appetizer shrimp were not served until the end of the meal and not every one got some. The, only famous in Florida, "yum-yum sauce" was bland, tasted like bland mayo with a little vinegar. By the time all the components of my entrée were served everything else was cold.

Salad and Won-Ton soup and California roll to get our meal started

We received a gift card for this place and never even knew it existed. We live right around the corner and never noticed it before. We were pleasantly surprised with the size of the place and how busy it was. Having never been here or really knew about it, they look like they do quite the business. We were greeted and seated right away. Because we wanted to sit and watch them cook our meal we waited a bit for more patrons to join us. We ordered water and a California roll. I am not a huge sushi fan but my wife (who LOVES sushi) said it was really good. The ginger and wasabi was very good. Our Chef showed up and did his show. It was nothing special but it was fun. He engaged the table well. My filet and shrimp were cooked perfectly and the plate of food was extremely filling. My wife ordered the shrimp and scallops. She was very pleased with her choice. Pricing seemed to be decent. For the two of us with the meals we ordered with the California roll with waters...with tip it was $60. The offered lots of hibachi tables as well as regular tables for people just wanting to eat. Their menu was large with a lot of sushi roll options. It is a great little place for good food and a fun experience.

I definitely want to give this spot the credit it's due: I loved their vegetable tempura! It was flavorful, hot, crispy, and had a great variety of veggies. There were a couple I hadn't tried before (something white and potato-like, as well as tempura asparagus), while I also got to enjoy my favorite preparation of sweet potatoes! Unfortunately, we didn't realize the tables were all lined up around the hibachi stations, making it loud and stuffy for regular diners. The steamed gyoza was also underwhelming and cold in the center. We would've ordered more, but the prices were higher compared to other sushi spots in the area. We weren't willing to pay twice as much for a sushi roll compared to competitors, and the bento boxes had a similar dilemma. I can't speak for the udon and other noodle soups, so those might be worth a try! We loved the service though! Our waiter was kind and attentive, and the food we did order was prepared quickly. I think if we came back for hibachi instead, the experience would be five stars!

Spicy green mussels, sushi deluxe dinner and a Rainbow roll. All very good minus the lettuce they call a salad.

We go to the one in Poinciana, so this is the first doing take out from here. They didn't disappoint. We had the spicy green mussels, sushi deluxe dinner and the Rainbow roll. All very good. The only reason I don't give them a 5 is bc I wish they would stop serving that salad which only has lettuce. They do it in Poinciana as well. It's not a salad, it's lettuce in a container. Please add some carrots and cucumber at least. Make it more refreshing.

Local hibatchi and sushi and it's great!! I have never been disappointed with food or hibachi here. The best and most expensive roll is the King of the ocean. They have other delicious rolls as well. I can't recall ever having a bad experience here. The only down side is I can't afford to eat here as Much as I wish.

Went to Mizu, and everything was delicious! Our server Chris went beyond and above to accommodate everyone in our party. Food had a lot of flavor and very well portions. They have an option you can have two meats with the rice and noodle, and other thing. We had shared the plate and trust me it's enough for two. Can't wait to come back!

We went here as this is one of my son's favorite places growing up and he is visiting from Korea. Just as we remember. We were seated at a grill by ourselves since there was 5 of us. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. Always nice and polite. We got the usual hibachi. We also got dumplings and a salmon roll. Good taste on both. The show of course was great and always fun. Love it when they pick on the kids. LoL. We were also celebrating my sons birthday and they gave him fried ice cream without us even ordering it. We will for for be back.

The teriyaki chicken was like nothing I'd ever had before. It was mostly sautéd onions. The chicken was cooked well, just had no flavor.

    Food and prices?

We went for lunch and had a bento box. It was around $10 per person. I've found them to be much more reasonable compared to benne Hanna and Kobe.

Also a few mixed drinks, but again nothing crazy or exciting. Food was fresh and pretty good. The tuna sashimi appetizer was fantastic! The sauce is like a yum-yum and black sesame blend. Incredible. The bowl was wayyyyyy too sweet for me. Too much of the sauce. But the rice and chicken were pretty good. The pork belly is grilled and not seasoned much. So added it to the bowl to calm the sweet and it worked well. Overall, this place isn't worth queuing for, but still pretty good considering its location. Solid 6/10 for me.

Sushi Tomi is one of the original secret Asian American staples of Orlando that opened in 2013 back when Orlando was known as Mickey Mouse's backyard. It's decently priced, albeit far, and provides a nice sense of comfort. We went on a week night and they were still super busy. Located closer to East Colonial area, it's at 8463 S John Young Pkwy, Orlando, FL 32819. Their claim to fame are their bento boxes and different lunch and dinner sets, which is to say you will leave full with a balanced meal. I won't lie, I have been wanting to go for the longest time. I felt like some kid pressing his face up against a window, just watching everyone go and enjoy their meal. So this was really great for me, personally. I got their dinner tempura and sushi set. The set came with miso soup and salad as well as a variety of meats and veggies that had been tempura coated and fried with a side of rice. I also ordered a sparkling jelly sake drink, a tamago nigiri and eel nigiri. My overall portion costed about $45 without tip. The set gets a 8.5/10 rating from me. I kinda wish I just went with the tempura set instead of trying to have the best of both worlds. Not that the sushi was bad or anything, but the tempura was really the star of the show. It was so fresh and crispy and light and amazing with the sauce they served it with. The sushi was fine and well made, I just had heart eyes for the tempura. The tamale nigiri and the eel nigiri was good, but not the best I have ever had. They had other things on their menu, but I really recommend going here for Japanese basic meals or comfort meals. I think it's not dazzling, but provides you with a sense of comfort. Not to mention the service was amazing, and it truly was authentic and not gentrified. My overall rating is 9/10 for the whole experience. I will be back whenever I am in the area.

It did have a slight kick to it but I liked it. Distinguished Gentleman: was great. The meat was tender and it had good flavor and my kids enjoyed it as a more kid friendly sushi, but I also enjoyed one bite that I was able to sneak before the kids devoured it. Shrimp Tempura roll (specially made for allergies): Standard goodness! I also almost forgot, I had gotten King Salmon nigiri and also eel nigiri, salmon was good! Normal salmon vibes 4/5 but the eel...probably the most disappointing menu item tbh. Tasted like the frozen Asian grocery store eel, just underwhelming and not a little tough. 2/5 wouldn't order again. but Overall, it was everything was great, we had good service and good food! Service is quick and the food is fantastic. I use miso soup as a test for how good a place is and theirs was exactly how I like it, small cubes of fresh tofu, reasonably sized wakame, and not too much of any one ingredient. The miso was a milder white but nicely salty and flavorful. You could tell they didn't just phone it in and open an instant packet. I had their curry rice with a pork katsu and it was one of the best I've had in the area. The curry tasted homemade and leaned a bit towards the sweeter side but with a tiny hint of spice. It came with pickles which were just the thing to cut the richness. I also got their spicy garlic edamame which is my second favorite (Sushi Katana by the Milennia Mall has the best IMO). The onigiri was nothing special but great rice consistency and filled with bonito flakes and soy or umeboshi. There are a lot of dishes you don't find on most menus here like salted grilled mackerel fillet and croquettes. Funny enough there's very little sushi for a place with sushi in the name but I was ok with that because their kitchen food is what to come for. I also love that it has the vibe of a small Japanese restaurant with the option to sit at the counter and give you that "salaryman on a quick lunch" vibe.
