We just used Tijuana Flats catering for 30+ people. Ordering was easy, the order was ready on time - and was completely correct! They packed it all in thermal coolers so hot stayed hot a long time, cold stayed cold a long time. Although we did add an ice pack to cold to be sure. Best of all, everything was fresh and tasted wonderful! Everyone is still talking about it days later. Came with serving utensils, tongs, plates, napkins, and flatware. We didn't use because we had it already, but nice to have as backup. I was a bit worried we wouldn't get enough of each item, so purchased more chips and toppings, but there was plenty. I'm sold on them now and am sure I'll be using again in the future. As will our friends! read more

So I was hoping that it was a one time thing and it only happens at certain times not sure if it's the cool but my ground beef is pink and not cooked fully. Ground beef isn't steak and should be cooked thoroughly especially with all the contamination going around with food. Wendy's got a massive Law suit going on right now due to a girl catching meningitis from a bacteria she had from their food and can't walk anymore. I was told when I called that the food seasoning is what's making it red and pink. I know we're ground beef cooked. Looks like as I explained to the person that picked up the phone and how other Tijuana Flats in the area I don't have this issue in the meat is brown fully cooked I've been eaten here some days before and it's brown. So it does not make sense to me how certain days it's all clumped up as if it's not cooked and it's pink and red. The only reason I found out that this was uncooked meat was because at the edge of my taco it was a bloody piece of meat and I started digging into the taco was bleeding through in the taco shell and it was not cooked. I showed the person at the restaurant and she brought me some new food and apologized again when I place an order for pick up and it happened to be uncooked again, this is ground beef. It should be thoroughly cooked so people don't get sick. I have no other issues with any other Tijuana Flats with this one here in St. Cloud on 13th St. which happens to be an inconvenience that I won't be eating there anymore because it's so close to my house that I have to drive all the way down in Lake Nona just to get cooked tacos, please cook the meat so people don't get sick and you don't get a lawsuit. We stopped by today for lunchjust after the rush. We ordered our regular 1 cheese tortillia with refried beans and 1 burrio with chicken and salas and refried beans with Chips. After ordering 3 extra refried beans the nice manager came out and said we could get the refried beans in a larger container so we wouldnt have to pay the price of the smaller containers. Nov 26/19: decent little local Mexican restaurant. Service was fast & efficient. Place was small with maybe 40-50 seats. They had a great selection of hot sauces. I chose the "Smack my ass & call me Sally" Habanero sauce. It was hot but no crazy hot with lots of flavour. I had the 2-For $7.99 soft grilled chicken combo. We walked in and got lucky during lunch as no one but 4 people eating at the time. More room for the kids to sit. We ordered and watched the Chiva TV while we waited. When our food came it was all at once so everyone was able to eat at the same time. The beans this time were throughly cook, we had to wait extra for some more refried beans as they had run out. A disappointing experience no question about it. My favorite "Mexican" place which is considered the most popular Mexican fast casual restaurant nationwide (Starts with a "C", ends with an "e", you can probably guess the name at this point) had a massive line Friday night so I decided to fill my Mexican craving at Tijuana Flats. The location itself is pretty nice with plenty of outdoor seating and a vibrant atmosphere in the inside. The staff are very friendly and accommodating with any questions I had. There are plenty of sauces to choose from, the Salsa tasted fresh as did the Guac. Ordered the "Street Corn Tacos with Steak" and a Steak Burrito. This is where things go downhill. While the Burrito and Tacos were okay at best, they were not anything special. This most likely is due to the fact that the "steak" I ordered was practically non existent. You feel like you are eating the Tortilla with a bunch of sour cream and lettuce with practically no meat. I didn't get a chance to take the picture of the burrito since obviously it is wrapped and I was not going to unfold it just for the sake of a picture, but there were maybe 6 tiny little pieces of meat in the entire burrito. The taco was even worse and the picture attached speaks for itself. I counted 5 pieces of tiny little pieces of steak. An absolute disappointment. While the customer service and atmosphere are great, food is the number one expectation and this place was a major disappointment. What a great little spot for St. Cloud! I was personally cry sad to see the Bojangles go (RIP, my favorite chicken biscuit) but this is a solid replacement. Took the kids here for lunch and was positively surprised at the great service. We ordered (chipotle chimi for me and cheese quesadillas for the kids) and sat outside because it was nice (aka not 1000 scorching degrees) outside. As usual, the kids guzzled their apple juice boxes in record time before eating their quesadilla, but staff was more than happy to bring waters out for them! My chimi has the perfect amount of everything, and because the portion size was so big I had half left over to take home for dinner that night. read more

I had an amazing server (which I can say happened both times)and good delicious food that made me want to come back there as soon as I could again. Fast forward maybe a year later I go in and experience the same great staff but this time the place is empty. I order and a few minutes later it's brought to me only the difference is the food was so salty I only was able to eat a quarter of the dish before needing to go to the restroom and deciding I need to leave. I love Tijuana Flats but this location doesn't deserve anything more than 2 stars from me. I ordered the steak flauta with extra steak. When my flautas came out, it was the regular amount of steak that is already put inside. I paid extra for extra steak, I should've gotten what I paid for. We also had to pay an extra $5 for two little cups of cheese to dip the chips in that came with the two kid's meals we purchased. The location by Cypress Pkwy and OBT follows directions to the "T"... I've never had any complaints there. Well done. If you've not been to a Tijuana Flats before, get your head out of your arse. This place is amazing. If you think you like Taco Bell for tex-mex, you'll find it repulsive after eating at Tijuana Flats! For about twice the price, you get about 1000x higher quality and better tasting food. They also serve a nice variety of Mexican beer, which is muy bein. Pro-Tip 1: ALWAYS order the chips and queso to go. If you order it dine-in, you'll get a handful of chips on a platter. If you order it to-go, you get about 100 chips in a paper bag that will last you a week at home. Put them things in the toaster over to warm them and they'll be better than they were to begin with. *Super Secret Pro-Tip 1.5*: When getting chips and queso, ask for "extra seasoning" on the side. This is the blend of spices they sprinkle on their chips, and when you get a chip that is heavily dusted with it, it is divine. If you get extra on the side, you can take it home and try to figure out just what in the hell they used to make it, then use it on your own food and claim victory amongst your friends. Pro-Tip 2: When presented with the option to "make it wet", do it. Put their cheese on everything. Then order the chips and queso for the side too so you have more cheese. Then put cheese on the queso. Winning. Pro-Tip 3: Be suspicious of the Jalapenos as a topping. These are fresh sliced jalapenos - not pickled - so they taste more like green peppers and will rain down hellfire on your mouth, potentially inhibiting your ability to taste the delicious food beneath them. I like me some pickled jalapenos all day and I can handle some hot sauces, but fresh jalapenos demand taste dominance when they're on top of your food.
