The road to get here is quite bumpy. I thought I was lost at one point but I followed other vehicles that were going to the area. There will be many construction sites and 18-wheelers. The wait for the food was about 20 minutes, and ordering was quite smooth. I placed my order and waited in the car to pay. When they are done with your order, the chef brings it out, and you pay her. I believe that they are cashless since I did not see a cash option to pay. The food was definitely worth the wait. The only thing I would not order again would be the birria ramen. Though it was very flavorful, I thought it wasn't worth it as much as the other items I ordered. The el pastor tacos were amazing, and the el pastor fries and flauntas were great to share with my friend. The fry-to-protein ratio balanced each other. My son's and I went to this amazing little Mexican restaurant last night that offers basic Mexican street food. To begin with the service was outstanding and fast. They took our order quickly and got the food out to us fast and hot. They brought out some chips and salsa. The salsa was a mild sauce but you can have different heats. We had beef tacos , chicken tacos and the pork tacos with this little onion sauce on the side, all was delicious and relaxing with a no rush atmosphere. This spot is the literal definition of "if you know you know!" First of all the food was 5/5, deliciously amazing! Second of all this taco truck is legit in the middle of nowhere, but bare with me, it's legit worth the drive. It's tucked allll the way behind a semi truck parking territory/junkyard/it's giving Texas chainsaw massacre vibes. On the final stretch right before arriving to the taco truck parking lot we passed a trailer that looked like it was straight out of the Hills Have Eyes movie There's no seating or tables or anything, it's just a grab and go or grab and eat in or on your car. Which is what we did, we just put all the food on my trunk and went to town devouring everything. We ordered the Birria tacos (duhhh), Esquites, mini Flautas, and Chips + Queso. My goodness, everything was really good, fresh, and hot off the grill. The chips were mad crunchy and just right with every bite. The tacos were juicy as can be and melted in your mouth. I have to admit I've never had birria tacos before coming here. But I've been hearing all about them so I looked for a taco place that sells them and found La Eskinna. As other people have mentioned this location is a food truck in an indiscriminate parking lot. You pass by some random junkyards on your way here. If I hadn't known in advance I definitely would've doubted I was going the right way. Nevertheless I found the place easily enough. I parked in one of the designated spots and a staff member quickly came up to take our order. The staff member was very nice. The food took some time to be prepared but it was definitely worth the wait! We ordered the birria tacos of course as well as the birria fries. Both tasted great! Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! I'm kicking it off with a review of this taco truck I've been eyeing for a hot minute and I was happy to see they popped up for delivery on UberEats. Their usual location is a bit far from me, but I decided to give them a try for delivery after seeing so many drool-worthy photos on Yelp and Insta. Many people are even saying that these are the best Mexican street tacos in Central Florida! I, of course, had to try their signature birria tacos which definitely lived up to the hype. They were meaty, cheesy, and the consommé was absolute perfection. I also really enjoyed their other tacos including the asada, chorizo, and pastor. The pollo was probably my least favorite out of the bunch, but still tasty (just a bit dry). I see that they even have vegan chorizo and mushroom taco options which I would be down to try next time. I also tried their birria ramen which is such super filling and comforting and makes for great leftovers. I only took a few bites and saved the rest for later, so that I could eat more tacos. I was even better for lunch the next day! I'm still planning to venture out to what appears to be a *very hidden* dirt lot where they're parked regularly. I got a good laugh from reading the other reviews where people describe their experience just navigating there lol. Their website even says "When you think you followed the GPS and you can't find us, you are on the right track, don't be scared. Heading here, you'll think that you're lost or that there is no way the best taco spot in Orlando is located in the cuts, but trust me, keep driving. Be mindful of the speed bumps, ignore every feeling inside of you telling you to turn around, and drive with your windows rolled up cause it's dusty as hell. You've arrived, but you're probably wondering "where did I arrive at?". Just back your car in, and someone will quickly come to your window to take your order if you're familiar, or walk you through their offerings. The food is inexpensive, and they have a daily happy hour (I got the Birria ramen and two tacos, chicken and Birria, for $12), and they have a variety of drinks. It's cashless, and they bring the reader right to your car. You can even order ahead and just let them know what your vehicle looks like, and someone will bring the food to you. Believe it or not, I've lived in Orlando for 7 years now and I have never went out of my way to order from a food truck. I primarily venture into that territory when I'm at Lake Eola for Sunday Farmers market or at another infamous Central Florida festival. This place was brought to my attention by a special person in my day-to-day. I can not describe how mouth watering this food is. I've never had Birria tacos, so why not make this the first and only place that I ever need to know about. As a fan of Cup Noodles, I could not resist ordering a Birria Ramen. The photos do not do it justice. In fact, I almost did not order it because I was quick to assume that there was not enough beef on top in proportion to the Ramen (judgement brought to you by photos). I was wrong. I will go back simply for the Ramen. This food truck is outstanding, the service is wonderful (they came to my parked car as I was looking at the menu and took my order then they brought it out the me) and the drive makes you feel like a true Orlandoian. The only reason I'm not giving this 5 stars is because the location is a little sketchy lol it's in an area where there's lots of warehouses and semi trucks to get there and when you follow the signs, it says to stay in your car but that part I actually liked because I felt it was super convenient. This food truck is kind of off the beaten path but they have tons of signs that leads you straight to it. You park one of the designated spots and scan the menu with your phone. One of the employees comes up to your car window and you place your order, no need to get out of your vehicle. It only took about 15 minutes for the order to ready. We ordered the birria tacos with the consome which were extremely flavorful and filling. We also ordered chorizo and Asada Tacos; the tortillas were light and there was a nice serving of meat in them. The meat was seasoned very well. We ordered a side of chips and guacamole too. Finally made my way to this hidden gem. I couldn't believe I waited this long to make my way there. As soon as I pulled up I was noticed right away and a nice gentleman came up to my car, handed me a menu I could keep and took my order. I came at around 8:30pm on a Tuesday (taco Tuesday), they were out of a few items (I suggest visiting earlier). Getting to this place is an adventure on its own. I came with my best friend for a little Sunday taco date and it was definitely laid back. Be careful of the speed humps, I didn't see the first one and went over it wayyyy too fast. We popped open my truck and sat in the back to eat since it wasn't too hot. They come directly to you once you park to take your order and bring the food out to you in to-go stuff since most people drive off away. The containers they came in are super cute and fit the taco sizes perfectly. I initially got 3 tacos, one chicken, one shredded beef, and one pastor. The pastor is definitely the best in my opinion. The chicken was ok and the beef was also ok, not too much flavor like I'd hoped. After those 3 I was still hungry so I ordered another pastor taco and the birria ramen. My bestie got the birria tacos and she said they tasted really good. The ramen came really nicely packaged and definitely well secured if you take it home. Ok so this was a weird drive, but with some common sense I was able to find this food truck in the middle of nowhere. They give you kind of the Sonic's experience by letting you order from your car and dropping your food off to you and just having you give them a call if you need something else. I never had to leave my seat! It was great, perfect for people social distancing, and just so convenient. I was dying to try their Birria Ramen and they definitely satisfied my craving.
