We had a great experience here. The hibachi dinner was excellent and the chef put on a really fun show while cooking. The food was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. The ambience is nice and relaxed, and the service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal. One thing that really stands out is the pricing. For an adult chicken hibachi with a sake and a child's chicken hibachi with a Ramune drink, the total came to about $60 before tip, which is very affordable for a hibachi dinner and show. Everything about this place was great. In my opinion it's even better than Kobe's, which used to be my go-to spot before I found this place. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

Hibachi is one of my favorites. We were in the area and this place had decent reviews and good lunch prices so we stopped in. They hadn't been open too long and we were sat at a table that had no one else there yet. There was a table with just 3 people, so I assumed it was too late, but I think we would have been fine since their chef didn't come for a while and we ended up sitting probably 30 minutes before our chef came. We were told the tables need time to heat at their opening, but I've never experienced this anywhere else. Plus a whole family was sat with us after we finished our soups and salads, so we had to wait longer. I understand the diverse population of the area, but we definitely felt a bit ignored by our chef as he was speaking Spanish the whole time with the other family, it just felt awkward. The food was OK, but not great. I didn't realize they put teriyaki sauce on everything, including the veggies, steak, and shrimp, which I don't enjoy. Would I return? No, this just wasn't it for me. I think the flavors, and quality of all the food is much better at Kobé. Plus even when Kobe is packed, we are greeted and served faster than here. read more

We came in and we sat down for hibachi. You sit with random people at a table while a chef prepares food for you. There's usually eight seats per table. We love the dinner and a show experience. I got the chicken and steak and it cost around $25 which is a great deal for food and a show. They provide you with a drink soup and salad, rice, vegetables, and noodles paired with whatever meat that you like you could have steak shrimp, salmon, chicken they also have vegetarian option. Of course we really enjoyed the dinner, especially for the price. It was a great deal. We'll be back again at this location. read more

The hubs really likes this place. This one is our go to sushi place when we're shopping in the area or when we want to be close to home. Decor and service are not the most fancy but the stars are for the food. Sushi is always fresh and tasty. We do enjoy their Bento Box happy hour prices which serves a good portion of whichever entree you choose. Hubs likes steak and I like teriyaki veggies. Super tasty! I've been coming to Mizu for years and always loved it, which makes this even more disappointing to write. Unfortunately, my last two visits haven't been great, and this most recent experience was bad enough that I probably won't be returning. I placed an online order for a $100 worth of food for four people (three dinner meals, one lunch meal, and a dessert), and right from the start, our order notes were completely ignored. Every meal included chicken, and all of it tasted either overcooked or like it had been sitting for too long. None of us enjoyed it...we had to drown it in white sauce just to make it somewhat edible. On top of that, the portion sizes of protein have noticeably shrunk, and nothing was properly seasoned. The noodles and rice were completely plain. We literally had to season our own food just to eat it. Overall, it was a really disappointing experience, especially considering how much we spent. It's frustrating to see such a decline from a place we used to enjoy so much. read more

We went in during the week and it was not too busy. Really cute inside. We chose to sit at a regular table instead of the hibachi area. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. Some of us ordered sushi and others hibachi. For appetizers we had fried pork gyoza and they weren't as crispy as I like but still good. Also has the crab Rangoon and it really didn't have any crab it was all cream cheese which was still good but disappointing. The sushi was delicious so that made up for the appetizers. The hibachi was ok. The meat and chicken was good but veggies was pretty much mostly zucchini (was missing the carrots and broccoli; only had 2 pieces at most) the rice and noodles were a little bland. Not sure if it's because we didn't sit at the hibachi table but I felt like it needed flavor. The miso soup was good but the salad dressing they used also felt like it was flavorless. My daughter (14} and I wanted to get a quick bite so we ordered the chicken bento box and the steak with extra shrimp bento box. The chicken was ok. I could not eat the steak. Something was off with the flavor of the meat. Perhaps a bad cut. I asked my daughter to taste it, she didn't eat the entire bite size strip either so I put it to the side. The shrimp was ok. The veggies underneath were ok. It was just doused with teriyaki sauce it seemed. The sushi, which was just a regular roll that goes in a bento box, was just ok. No texture. We also ordered gyoza which were delicious. The miso soup was good. The salad was ok but it was doused in the ginger dressing. It wasn't the best dressing. Not fresh. It was disappointing for the $70 I paid (84 with tip). We do not eat out that much because I enjoy cooking so when I do I at least want it to be good and worth my time and money. Love their mango sushi shrimp tempura, it's by far my favorite sushi roll that they have. You should definitely try it out! The ambiance is cozy! Service was okay, not completely waitress' fault because she was the only one serving eight tables. Obviously they were short staffed. I don't know what type of management would have one server serving eight tables, instead of calling in backup. Stopped by with a group of friends for hibachi on a Tuesday night. It was pretty busy, so I'm glad we had made reservations. The hibachi "show" was entertaining and funny at parts! Unfortunately that only lasted about the first 5 min, but then chef's energy seemed to die bc the show kind of stopped and we silently watched him cook for the remainder of time lol. I ordered the hibachi combo of 3. Most of the food was flavored decently (except my steak & the watery salad-- those were flavorless) & all my protein (steak, shrimp and chicken) were overcooked/dry/chewy. I think my combo was $28 and I got a lot of food, so plenty for leftovers. I'm glad I went, but wouldn't be my first choice for a hibachi dinner. read more

My friend (did me dirty) and recommended this hibachi spot. I should've never listened to her. Anywhere would've been better than this spot. We didn't feel like waiting for the hibachi table so we opted for regular dining and still ordered hibachi meals. As soon as they served our food, I knew it wasn't going to take like absolutely nothing. The food was bland as if there was not one ounce of seasoning or flavor put into anything. ZERO love put into this food which is a shame because Japanese cuisine is supposed to be really good. I was starving and ended up having to just pour them yum yum sauce and adding soy sauce just to stomach any of it. My mom and son, sent their food back and chose not to eat. So upon going to Plato's Closet next door we saw this spot and wanted to check it out! The lunch menu runs till 4, comes with an entree, soup, salad, veggies and fried rice! We were told we could switch out the veggies or rice for noodles, so I switched out my veggies for the noodles and my wife switched out her rice for the veggies. The soup and salad came out very fast! Soups hot and salads good, but the salad is drenched in dressing but still consumable! Lunch entrees; Chicken Hibachi and NY Steak Hibachi: Upon getting the plates our reactions were WOW! It's a good chunky portion! The chicken and steak were excellent and the rice wasn't dry as much places usually have it, the noodles were also excellent! Service was very good, we called an hour ahead on Father's Day and were seated at our time without issue. Prices were very fair, and portions were quite plentiful, there was more than enough to take home. Quality of the food was very good my family enjoyed their meals. You get Rice, noodles, veggies, mushroom soup and a salad with your hibachi meal. My only 2 minor gripes were I wasn't a fan of their salad dressing and the noodles had more of a spaghetti consistency. I used to really enjoy coming here for great meals. However I haven't been able to come here for awhile and finally had the chance to return. The food was not so good this time. I ordered the hibachi dinner and to my surprise had spaghetti with soy sauce instead of stir fried noodles. Not to mention super dried out non edible chicken. Instead of taking it off the bill they gave me a discount haha. Thanks guys but I didn't even eat the rest of the meal. This place was swell. We went here for a quick celebration for my Winter Concert and was served the drinks rapidly after ordering them. We ordered our Sushi rolls and for the low prices, the quality and flavor was pretty sweet. The decor is really well done, with a very Chinatown feel. The one problem I did have, was that my sister ordered an Original Ramune, but the waiter thought that se said Lemonade and brought her that on accident. Beside that, the server was able to comply to our demands nicely. Will probably try the Hibachi menu next time. read more

Started the new year off right and had an early dinner at Mizu. We were seated in regular dining right away. Drink order was taken immediately and we placed our sushi order soon thereafter. This place has a lot of hibachi tables and they are always hopping for dinner. So happy these place is flourishing after Covid. We love the sushi. Never had a bad experience. And it's not over priced considering how much food costs these days. We usually get the miss and house salads as well, which are good but nothing spectacular. They serve Pepsi products.
