Fried Tempura Shrimp roll. Delicious and fresh.

Simply delicious! Very fresh, made to order sushi and ramen. Spicy seared tuna salad is a must.

Foodoko is definitely worth the trip to a veterans hospital. I was surprised when it was actually located in the food court and first had to ask for help to find it. There is no need to be suspicious about sushi that's at a hospital in this case because they're an independent business. My sushi burrito was made fresh upon order and was larger than I thought it would be, therefore the price is worth the portion. I will definitely be a returning customer to try their poké bowls and some more burritos since I live nearby!!

Sushi burrito with tuna salmon tempura flakes and eel sauce

Sushi lovers rejoice- here's a new fun way to eat your sushi. Foodoko is a deliciously unassuming gem tucked away in Lake Nona inside the new Veteran Affairs cafeteria that is open to the general public. It serves the first sushi burrito I have had the pleasure of eating in Orlando and it was absolutely worth it. For 9 bucks and change, I received a hefty burrito stuffed with tuna, salmon, crunchy tempura flakes, eel sauce, and more. It came served in a ready made box and the guy running the shebang was delightfully friendly. This burrito is guaranteed to fill you up and because of the healthy ingredients, I didn't feel bloated or uncomfortable afterwards. In addition to the burrito I got, there were multiple other burrito selections including a vegetarian friendly option. There is plenty of seating outside the cafeteria and the VA itself is located in a beautiful new building that is a pleasure to stroll through. I would definitely recommend stopping by Foodoko if you are in the Lake Nona area, or even to plan a trip there for a very unique casual dining experience.

To start, they have a great Happy Hour 3-6 pm with a limited menu, but Sapporo drafts and local brews are under $5 each. That is a win right there. They also have beer and Sake flights. My Go to here is the Tonkotsu Black Ramen, but I have had the others and never a bad experience. There is something really welcoming about Jinya. I suspect they treat there staff well and hire the right people. Everytime I am here I feel like they are over staffed, but there are plenty of tables inside and out in this intimate venue. My two favorite happy hour dishes are the Salmon Pke Tacos and the Crispy Chicken. I used to live on Lake Eola Park and I so miss coming here. Glad I stumbled in here today.

The tofu was very soft and not my favorite in terms of flavor, but everything else in the Spicy Creamy V Ramen was delicious. I also tried the Impossible meat bao, but the texture of the meat was a bit too firm or overcooked for my liking, especially paired with the soft bao bun. That said, I would definitely come back to try other items on the menu, as there are so many options to choose from. Our server, Carl, was very friendly and attentive. I visited on a Friday evening, and the ambiance was relaxed yet lively, with plenty of groups enjoying dinner or drinks at the bar.

Stopped by DOMU while visiting Orlando, and it ended up being one of my favorite meals of the trip…read more The restaurant has a modern, welcoming atmosphere with a clean interior and a lively energy without feeling too loud. The seating was comfortable, and despite how popular the restaurant is, everything felt well organized. It was a great place to relax and enjoy a meal with family and friends. The ramen absolutely lived up to the hype. The broth was rich, creamy, and packed with deep umami flavor without feeling overly salty or heavy. You could tell it had been simmered for hours because every spoonful had so much depth. The noodles were cooked perfectly--firm and chewy with just the right amount of bite, so they held up well in the broth from the first bite to the last. The biggest surprise of the meal was actually the chicken wings. I ordered them because they seemed to be a popular appetizer, but they ended up stealing the show. They were incredibly crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside, and coated with a flavorful glaze that had the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and a little bit of heat. I can definitely see why so many people recommend ordering them alongside the ramen. The staff were friendly and attentive throughout our visit, making the overall experience even more enjoyable. Overall, I can see why DOMU is considered one of Orlando's top ramen spots. Between the flavorful broth, perfectly textured noodles, unforgettable chicken wings, and welcoming atmosphere, it was a meal that exceeded my expectations. I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in Orlando.
