Came here during lunch with my husband. They had a lunch special going on - we ordered the Shio and their specialty Soy Milk Tonkotsu. The Shio had a smokey taste to it and had that proper mouth feel. The egg was a bit lackluster to what I'm used to - it's served marinated whole. Between the two I preferred the Soy Milk Tonkotsu - it tasted light yet hearty. Our server was very attentive and chill which matched the vibe of the establishment. I've walked past this place countless times and never thought about stopping in. It's just two doors away from a constantly crowded Publix, so it's easy to overlook. But when our neighbors invited us to join them for dinner after our kids' playdate, I was happy to keep the evening going. The moment we walked in, I was pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is small but very clean and thoughtfully decorated, with clear attention to detail that made the space feel warm and inviting. The waitstaff was attentive throughout our meal, staying close by and making sure every table's needs were met. We ordered ramen, a beef bowl, gyoza, along with some of their teas and fresh lemonade. I waited until everyone at the table had their food before tasting anything, but it didn't take long. As I sat there, the incredible aromas from our dishes filled the air. The first bite of the beef bowl immediately told me there was a skilled chef in the kitchen. Everyone at the table grew quiet as we tasted our food--it was so good that conversation paused while we simply savored every bite. The quality was outstanding, and the presentation was beautiful. Great spot for lunch or dinner. The restaurant is very well maintained, the server was really nice, and the food was great. We ordered the soy milk broth ramen and spicy Korean ramen along with tempura purple potatoes and edamame. The flavors were nice and not overpowering or too salty. The ramens were served hot and not lukewarm which was nice. The appetizers were just the right portions and the prices were affordable. The real surprise is in every bowl. When you finish your ramen and broth, there is a free giveaway written on the bottom! You gotta finish your broth but it's worth it. This is our new favorite Japanese spot! We recently went to Japan and have been trying to find a good ramen and curry spot and I think we found it! We've been wanting to try out Wa Ramen since we moved to the area. I love the coziness of the restaurant it definitely reminds me of mom and pop ramen shops in Japan. The karage was super authentic and crispy. I loved that the edamame was served in a basket. So many little touches made me feel like I was back in Japan. I had the gyudon and it was perfect. The rice was spectacular not mushy or undercooked. The pickled ginger is my favorite part, how it marries the onions, beef, and rice. Giving the dish color and flavor. My husband's ramen was tender and delicious. Many reviewers have noted their noodles were undercooked, you don't want a mushy noodle. My husband couldn't finish his bowl. I've been a few times with my husband lately since Orlando had been getting a few cold fronts here and there. The interior is cute and reminded of places I have been to in LA. The walls are lined with pics of customers and the cute ramen bowl pillow named Raymond. Wa Ramen has been on my go to list since I've heard of it! Upon entering, the restaurant is definitely smaller than I anticipated, but we got there at dinner open time at 5 pm. We all ordered the same thing, Thai ice tea and Spicy ramen. Ramen came out pretty quick and let me tell you the spicy ramen broth is definitely a 5! The server forgot or didn't put in our Thai ice tea so about midway through our meals she put them in after we inquired about them. Also midway through my meal I bit into a massive chunk of dirt in my bok choy. I was definitely not finishing the "ramen challenge" after that. Really cute small ramen shop. In a plaza. There were only two workers working front of the house but the service was good. My only drawback was that the food didn't come all at once, not a dealbreaker. They have a small menu, but everything was really good. I will probably be the first to say it's not the "best" ramen I've had, but it hits the spot. And there's "prizes" at the bottom of bowls. They also have a really nice happy hour between 5:00-6:30 for $10 bowls of ramen. Which is a solid deal. Would come back to this place. Service was great. read more

The day we went was apparently their anniversary and the server explained that we could name any price for our ramen as their anniversary celebration. Yay! I finally made it over to Lake Nona to try out WA Ramen. I've been to their sushi place in Casselberry a handful of times so I was excited when they opened a ramen shop. Let me first start by saying our host/waiter was one of the friendliest host/waiter I have ever encountered. He has some of the best table serving etiquette I have ever encountered. We order the chicken kaarage and cod off the starter menu and I had the Spicy Seafood Ramen. All were really good. The spice level could have been a little spicier to my liking. If you finish your ramen bowl with the soup you get a prize and a polaroid to celebrate. They also have a rotating ramen menu every two weeks along with their standard menu. Was pleasantly surprised with my ramen here! I ordered spicy ramen which came with a well marinated soft boiled egg and a large chunk of pork. I prefer the marinated slices of chashu but this one was just a tender chunk of pork-- still tasty! The broth was also rich and flavorful, and just about thick enough to hold on to the chewy noodles. I had the spicy Ramen it had great flavor and texture. I also tried the Thai milk tea for the first time the flavors were very very prominent. It was unique and I was glad to try it out. I probably wouldn't make it at home. The location is pretty far out, but it is very clean inside and a nice amount of seating. I can tell the food was freshly made in addition to the Thai milk tea. Both were light but still flavorful and packed with ingredients so it was very filling. The spicy ramen gives the perfect amount of heat so it was still enjoyable. Right now they have two events happening until the end of April, The Name Your Price Ramen Bowl and Surprise in Every Bowl. With the Name Your Price Ramen Bowl you do exactly that, name your price! You tell them how much you want to pay and that's what they will charge. Wa Ramen is such a great addition in Lake Nona! We went for dinner tonight for my husband's birthday dinner and it was the perfect meal. Wa Ramen had a good looking drink menu and they offer a wide variety of drinks, but we both got the Peach Oolong Tea which was really good!! For an appetizer I got the J.B. Bao that was on the specialty menu. It was SO good. It was so unique and I loved the flavors. It had smoked salmon and cream cheese on it and it all worked together perfectly. Our sweet waitress let us know that they update the specialty menu every two weeks. For our meals my husband got the Spicy Ramen and I picked the Gyu-don, which is Sukiyaki beef and onion over rice, served with ajitama egg, red ginger, and scallions. We both LOVED our choices. It's good to know you can sub the pork from the ramen options as all of them are listed with pork. Both our soups were flavorful however they lacked on the amount of toppings. We checked out Wa Ramen right after they added a new lunch menu! You can select from 4 classic ramen bowls and 4 small appetizers for a reduced cost during the lunch hour. They have drink specials as well on their Thai milk tea and peach oolong tea, which I want to try next time! I went with the Miso Ramen just as it comes and selected the edamame as my appetizer. The miso broth was super light and had a nice flavor. The pork was so tender and delicious. I'm also a big fan of the ajitama egg and I may add an extra next time. This ramen spot was highly recommended by some of my friends so I had to check it out. I was not disappointed, this restaurant has some of the best noodles in Orlando. I ordered from their rotating menu and I would highly suggest doing so as well. At the time I'm making this post, there is currently a promotion going on in which if you finish your bowl of ramen, you get a prize for the next time you come. The service was also great, the server was knowledgeable of their menu and we were able to get our food at a timely manner. Ramen restaurants have invaded Orlando in a quiet manner. We went to the Narcoosee Publix ramen house called Wa and had a good time. At the bottom of each bowl, you get a surprising prize, but you must finish the ramen noodle to see it. Your next visit, you get that food item for free. We sampled a few drinks. It was cold today, so I had the hot green tea. Others had Thai iced tea and sodas. We liked the purple sweet potato fries, the cucumber and avocado salad, and the cod for appetizers. We tried Spicy Ramen, one with pork and another with seafood. We tried the Matcha Ramen and Snowflake Ramen. Each has its own beauty. I didn't take a pick but the Chicken Karaage was actually the Bert thing I had. Squeeze of lemon and the Mayo sauce (kewpie) made the dish. The ramen was shoyuramwn was good but the pork was more along the lines of a Cuban pork, which was still good but just different. The hiyashi chuka was perfect for a cold ramen dish but the chicken seemed very pedestrian and almost like it was bought and placed into the dish. Still good but not what I expected. Its a cute restaurant with cute decorations. I really like the butterly origami decor on the wall. Me and my kids with some other mom friends and their kids came here. Theirs 3 adults and 4 kids and the waiter was so nice to accomodate all our needs because it can get so hectic eating with the kids. For appetizer I ordered the gyoza, it was good and nice food presentation. For main dish I ordered the spicy ramen for myself, its not that spicy. I'll say 5 out of 10 and the broth was so flavorful. I think going back I'll order the same ramen again. For my kids I got the soy milk tonkutso ramen and honestly it was not my favorite. The soup was a bit tasteless for me. OK RAMEN We recently had dinner at Wa Ramen that is located in a large strip mall on Narcoossee Road and Moss Park Road near Lake Nona. Plenty of parking. Wa Ramen is a small restaurant with around 10-12 tables and a counter along the back wall. Décor includes many small photos of happy customers posted on the wall. It is a popular local restaurant and when we arrived (5:45 p.m. weekend), all tables were taken except for one table and the counter seats. Service was friendly and attentive. Two waitpersons tag teamed taking orders, serving customers and clearing tables. We ordered the Takoyaki ($9), Soy Milk Tonkotsu Ramen ($18) and Vegetable Ramen ($17). We enjoyed the Takoyaki - freshly prepared golden crispy round fritters (5) filled with bits of octopus. The Soy Milk Tonkotsu Ramen was good. The savory creamy broth was flavorful without being salty. The bowl came with two thin slices of chashu, a soft-boiled egg, some bamboo shoots, thinly sliced black fungus and scallions. The noodles were just okay with not much chew, bounce or flavor to distinguish them. We were also disappointed that the egg was a plain soft boiled egg and not a soy marinated egg. The Vegetarian Ramen could have been better. The broth was thin with little flavor. The two pieces of fried tofu skin were burnt on the edges. When going out for ramen, we often order a vegetable ramen for a healthy serving of leafy greens like bok choy. Here the vegetables were limited to a few leaves of spinach, bamboo shoots, black fungus, shiitake mushrooms and corn kernels with a garnish of scallion. One fun part of the meal - on the bottom of each of our bowls was written our reward for finishing our ramen. We earned two coupons for free beverages on our next visit. read more
