    Chicken pad Thai
    Heather M.

In short : I could've eaten 3 times more ! This Thai spot scored a Michelin Bib gourmand but easily could've been a One Star. Isan Zaap Thai cafe is based on the northeast region with Laotian overlaps. Northeastern Thai food is known to be spicer and more flavorful. I found this to be very true today . The ambiance is nice and quaint . It's a small Establishment in a strip plaza. I'm not sure how other place survive next to Them. ARE PEOPLE UNAWARE OF THIS SPOT?!?! Anyway, I came here with my cousin who also has two stomach and we decided to order everything the server recommended. Appetizers: we ordered the Isan Sausage and Thai chicken and wings. My first bite of the sausage was like being in pork heaven.. the flavor profile was insane. The chicken wings were fresh.. perfectly fried and the dipping sauce was a nice touch . Mains: chicken pad Thai (Thai spice level) and grilled crying tiger . The spice level was enough to get your nose cleared a bit but yet tasty and made you not want to stop. The grilled crying tiger was perfect cuts of tenderloin with a delicious side sauce. Each plate was eaten clean ... we wanted to lie and said we dropped it just to receive extra portions. Dessert: mango sticky rice with a coco cream. This was by far the best sticky rice I have had in my 4 decades on this planet. The. Mango was perfectly ripened.. the rice was optimal Texture and the coconut cream was divine . Again , these were all recommendations from our server and she knocked it out of the park. I'm here in Orlando for work for the rest of the year and I will definitely be back.. if you want authentic Thai food at a decent price point Come here ! Try everything ! They won't disappoint!

Went to Isan Zaap with my mom and she picked a really good spot. Everything we tried was tasty and well prepared. My favorite was the pad Thai, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The highlight of the meal was the service. Super friendly and made great recommendations. Definitely a place I'd go back to.

This is my go to in the Millenia area for Thai food! They have ample parking and plenty of seating in the restaurant itself. I love the theming they have for the restaurant. It feels like you're walking into Thailand and also very relaxing and not overstimulating. The servers are also very helpful if you have questions and attentive throughout my dinner. I typically get their curry pastry puffs which is amazing, pad thai, and their fried rice. My latest obsession is Tom Kha Gai which they do a phenomenal job in! I love that their menu allows for me to request for something to be spicy even if it doesn't normally come that way.

Food poisoning- Ate at Isan Zaap on 2.2.26 at approximately 6pm, leaving at 7pm. 3 of us contracted food born illnesses. Starting with my 7 year old vomiting on the way home (in the car), my 4 year old awaking 2.5 hours later vomiting, followed by me an hour after that. We all consumed chicken fried rice. We will never return. This is inexcusable. Completely ruined the last 12 hours for my family and one disgusting car to deal with.

Food quantity: 9/10 Food quality: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Ambience: 10/10 Overall rating 9.5/10 The best authentic Thai restaurant in Orlando! My family loves coming here repeatedly and ordering the same things over and over again. The taro dessert was deliciously warming on a cold day, highly recommend!

Solid Thai food. I really love the Nam Tok: grilled pork neck salad. I could eat just that with a bowl of white rice and it'll be super filling and satisfying. Tom yum soup was sour but not that spicy. Food came super quick and were decent portions too.

Went to Isan Zaap Thai Cafe on New Year's Day around noon and had a great experience overall. There was no wait when we arrived, but it steadily got busier during our meal--which is always a good sign. The food was delicious and tasted very authentic. I ordered the Tom Yum seafood soup at medium spice, and it definitely had a kick. If you're not great with spice, I'd recommend going mild. I also had the beef Pad Thai, which tasted great, though I wish I had asked if it could be made spicy--that was the only thing missing for me. We also tried the grilled squid. It was a good-sized squid and nicely prepared, but for a single squid, it did feel a bit pricey. Overall, the pricing is slightly higher than I expected, though that may just be the reality with inflation these days. The inside of the restaurant is decent--nothing super fancy, but comfortable. Service was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. Definitely a solid spot for flavorful, authentic Thai food, especially if you enjoy some heat.

The small dish next to the drink is called namprik nampla, which is peppers and fish sauce. It adds spice and flavor that adds to the umami

I've been eating at Isan Zaap since they opened shop. What makes this restaurant unique and different than most Thai spots in Orlando, is that it is known for North Eastern Thai food. This area of Thailand is known for spicy food, but if that's not your jam don't worry! They can adjust the spice level according to your liking. I would suggest going less spicy the first time. Asking for Thai Hot is almost a challenge to Thai restaurants! I lived in Thailand for four years, and I lived in the North East. You have been advised! My most favorite dish of all time is Pork Basil stirfry. I order it with a fried egg, and ask for the yolk to be runny. I do enjoy the Panang Curry as well. It is made with Coconut milk and has citrus notes with lemon grass, wild lime leaf and lime. Ordering to go as your eating will ensure you have a lovely meal for another time. Top tip! They are the recipients of the Michelin Bib Gourmand for four years running. The service is quick and efficient. You may have to wait at busy times, but the food is so remarkable, it's well worth the wait! The ambiance is casual and relaxed! Enjoy the pictures!

Smallish space, was full by 12:15 on a Saturday afternoon. Had the crab fried rice which was my favorite. The Pad Thai was very good. The beef with garlic and pepper was okay. The portions are on the small side. Had three entrees between the two of us and were still hungry so order accordingly

I went with family for a meal. It was tight with parking but we got it. The place was packed so that a good sign for me. There was limited staff but they did the best they could. They were enjoying and got us menus quickly. We ordered. I got the rice dish as I wasn't in the mood for my other go to. Plus I could reheat the friend rice. It was good and flavorful. I enjoyed the time at this location. I will be back when in town.

I can see why they're Michelin recommended! Not only is their menu pretty extensive, but of everything we ordered, it was all delicious! I love that they include shrimp, squid, and fish as protein options, although it is more pricey. I was a little worried that some of the portion sizes seemed on the smaller side when it comes to Thai food, like the pad see ew, but it was actually pretty filling! Special highlight for me was the Tom Kha, it was so creamy and flavorful. It came in one of those dishes that allows for a flame to underneath, boiling the soup, so I kind of wish they included that, but not the biggest deal. I also loved that everything came out steaming hot. It just feels fresher than when stuff comes out just warm.

Somehow the food was even better the second time we went! I went right after work on a Thursday and was immediately seated. Service was very fast. We were in and out in an hour. The food was very fresh. I can't wait to come back. My new favorite Thai restaurant in Orlando! The server was very kind and gave us truthful spice level recommendations.

TBH the 4 stars is just for the food. They're Michelin recommended, multiple years in a row, so maybe this makes them a little snooty. The atmosphere inside was anything but warm. No greetings, no smiles. Service was prompt but cold. This is more of a date night spot than a family dinner spot, so maybe this is why we had all the strange looks coming in. We chose this spot because they had boat noodle on the menu. We're noodle heads, so after having BBH twice in a row, we wanted something different. The boat noodle here is delicious. The soup is rich and flavorful, not overly sweet, and they top it off with hella pork rinds! Love that! You can ask for a spice rack and pickled jalapenos to make your broth spicier. My sister and I shared the pad thai and panang curry. The pad thai was cooked well, and the perfect size for two. The panang curry was delicious but the curry itself was on the thinner side. Highly recommend this one with beef. I love the addition of green beans in the curry. All the veggies were cooked perfectly too. We asked for everything to be medium spicy. The pad thai wasn't spicy at all but the curry had a good heat to it. Can't remember if we ordered a side of rice, or if it came with it. The fried wings were good. Party wings with a side of sweet chili dipping sauce. No batter on the wings. Kinda pricey for what it is though. I'd recommend a different app but my little one loves plain chicken. We had a fresh coconut and I love that they hot stamp it with their restaurant name. They're going for a modern, upscale vibe and I'm here for it. The coconut juice was sweet, but the coconut meat was too tough to eat. About 20 min north of Orlando where we stayed, but after a long day at the theme park, this one hit the spot.

We were visiting Orlando on Christmas Eve, and of course, a stop at our favorite spot was non-negotiable. Over the years, they've remained consistently exceptional in quality, flavor, and service. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed by a cozy, comfortable atmosphere. Nothing has changed in the last 15 years and honestly, I wouldn't want it any other way. We were seated immediately, and as always, the service was quick, friendly, and attentive. I always start with the cucumber salad, the Thai chili dressing is absolutely incredible. My all-time favorite dish remains the Crazy Meat, which is hands down the best red curry you'll ever have. It's served with a perfectly fluffy portion of rice shaped like a heart, and the broth truly warms the soul. My husband usually orders the fried rice, but this time he tried the Pad Penang. It's similar to my dish, with a thicker, richer sauce rather than a soup-like broth. He loved it so much that he already plans to order extra sauce next time. For our kids, the waitress confidently recommended fried chicken and rice. I didn't even realize this was an option since there's no kids' menu, but this was some of the best fried chicken we've ever had. The kids devoured it, and we may have snuck a few pieces ourselves because it was just that good. If you're looking for unforgettable Thai food, this is the place. We'll keep coming back year after year, and it will always be our favorite.

The service was great had a lovely waitress who was so friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes. My usual go to is yellow curry but this yellow curry was done differently, it lacked flavor and the veg options inside the dish was also different from what I'm accustom to. The chicken pad Thai was ok missed the crushed peanuts on top & lacked sauce. The portions were great and we finished our dishes but unfortunately we won't be back.

It's part of a long shopping strip with a variety of shops, but they're on the corner and street parking is available. We ordered chicken Thai salad, one of the currys and veggie rolls. The chicken Thai salad was extremely flavorful and so fresh and light, even though I hadn't planned to eat any, it was so good, we had to share.:) I added potatoes to our curry and it was an extra $2 chg. The chef was cute and made our rice mound into a heart. Perfect combo and lots of chicken with the veggies. My only caveat is the veggie rolls were a little mushy and I would pass on them next time. Everything is so flavorful otherwise and it was nice to see real Thai people working there. We learned our waitresses real name, but I'm tired and can't remember now. I went to a Japanese restaurant recently and nobody was Japanese. It really makes a difference in authenticity of the food when they come from the area they're presenting. Highly recommend this place for lunch and dinner. Yummy!!!!
