EDITED - After a few hours, I returned to my leftovers and WOW, I was wrong wrong wrong. I raised it to 4 stars. Like a soup or stew that tastes better the next day after, my "Salmon Glory" was pretty amazing. I had submerged the overdone fish in the sauce which helped. ______ This lovely restaurant is worth visiting, although my review may seem like I am suggesting the opposite. Thai Thani took my breath away with the incredible decor reflecting the culture and spirit of Thailand. It is worth visiting for the visual experience alone. The staff are super attentive and helpful. The food is why I rated them a 3. I truly enjoy Thai food and I seek out Thai cuisine wherever I go. There was a lack of flavor in everything other than the Tom Kha Gai. The soup was thicker than I have experience in the past and the chicken in it had no flavor. The soup was so good, that it overcame the bland chicken. Usually, when I visit a Thai restaurant, I will order Massaman or Panang curry with tofu, veggie potstickers, and soup. In this case, I ordered a special salmon dish on the menu and I received an overdone fish with a bland sauce. Perhaps the Massaman curry would have been as flavorful as the soup. I am happy I came because just sitting there is an event, but I wish all parts of my 3-part meal were as incredible as the ambiance. Should you go? Yes. I recommend asking for spice. Perhaps they cater to their normal clientele who cannot handle any spice - like zero spice. The Tom Kha Gai suggests that they can bring the flavor. All the curry What I got the Calamari appetizer which the calamari were okay, not the best. It was very chewy, not able to bite it in 2 pieces. I got the massaman special curry and had it customized with tofu and vegetables. This was good. You can select the spice level of the curry and to be safe, I got the regular which isn't as spicy. The rice I had that night wasn't as fluffy as I wanted it to be. Overall the meal was decent. The sauces were great, especially the pepper fish sauce.. sodium overload. Environment Located in a plaza, there are plenty of parking available outside. The inside is really nicely decorated, there is a lot going on. Very Thai, authentic. There is plenty of seating inside as well, table seating. The mood is not bright, great for dinners. Niceness of the staff Very nice staff and attentive. I was able to put in my order and get my order in the timely manner. I am not sure why I was given water without ice initially, but good to know it is an option. Dollar I thought it was quite expensive, the curry was 19$ and the calamari was 15$. Just ate at Thai Thani and it was a great experience. The food was delicious and the atmosphere felt very authentic which paired perfectly with the traditional dishes. The service was pleasant and quick. I tried the Phad See Ew and the Pepper Steak and both were excellent. I ordered my spice level hot and it was just right for me with a nice kick. We came to restaurant after a long day at Universal Studios at 9 pm. My wife was tired of all the theme park food. When we entered, the decor caught my attention. See the photos below. We eat Thai all the timein the DFW area. We ordered "Thai Level Spice". However, I think the spices were tame due to all the tourists visiting. We ordered Fried Spring Rolls and The Papaya Salad. It was tasty but nothing amazing. The Papaya Salad was mild in spice level at best. We also ordered The Chicken Pad Thai and Green Curry. Again, it was not very spicy which I understand with all the tourists visiting. But, we also thought the food was a little lacking in other Asian Spices such as fish sauce. We thought the food was OK and satisfied our craving for Thai Food. We weren't disappointed we went. Our server Narumom was not able to be as attentive since some other parties came in near closing but she did a good job given the circumstances. The previous review was less than stellar. It could be that the later you go, the food may be less fresh and tasty. If we are in Orlando again, we would probably try another Thai restaurant. But, it still worth a visit one time. read more

We tried this place for lunch for the first time while visiting Orlando. It has a very nice ambiance and you feel like taking photos of the decor. Service was quick too. We tried their appetizer sampler, chicken pad Thai, Massaman curry with chicken, and tofu fried rice. Everything was delicious but chicken satay in the appetizer didn't taste too fresh to me. First of all, as soon as you step in, you feel like you have been transported to a shrine in Thailand. So many beautiful and authentic pieces, a lot also available for purchase. I ordered 2 Combo House fried rice with chicken and shrimp. I asked for spice level 3-4. I also bought crab Rangoon. The total cost was $58.42.. I also gave a $5 tip as this was carry out. I was staying in a hotel 3 minutes away. Upon tasting the food, my husband and I did not like it as it had NOOOO seasoning. I immediately called the restaurant to give my complaint and to see what my options were. She said I could bring the food back and she would remake it. When I returned, some ma up front asked if I wanted to have the spices put on the side. I declined. The entire experience is predicated on the spices cooked in the foot. The front lady took my bag. I tried to tell her I only wanted one remade but she walked away. If 5 minutes later, she returns with the SAME bag, the same containers with the same food that had been eaten. I'm guessing they dumped the food back in the pan, added the spices and put it all back in its original packaging. Wow, I couldn't even get a new bag. I never received an apology or explanation for the bland food and I felt disrespected. Absolutely NO regard for me as a patron. As if, I did NOT matter. I felt uncomfortable, unappreciated and like I had been taken advantage of with no recourse. As if I had $63 to just throw away. I do NOT recommend this place. I felt tolerated and NOT celebrated. I'm still hungry and angry. I think I should have been refunded my $ or at least given a fresh order. What an insult. read more

We went very simple with the basil stir fry with pork and stir fry noodles with beef, while also throwing in some krab rangoon and pot stickers. Everything was delicious. After finishing I was contemplating if it would seem this tasty any given day or it only seemed that way after a few days of Sea World, DC and Aquatica food? It was out of this world delicious I really really enjoyed it and for dessert we got the coconut ice cream which had crushed peanuts and a sweet combination of all of the flavor and taste was outstanding. We started off with the Thai Iced Tea which was extremely sweet. I kept waiting for the ice to melt to water it down a bit; highly suggest telling your server to add less sugar and even dilute it with water if they have to. The Thai Thani Sampler is great for sharing but honestly it was all average. The chicken satay had nice flavor but was dry, the crab rangoons were tasty but it was mostly cream cheese and no crab, and the egg rolls looked air fried and lacked flavor. I'm a big fan of Thai eggplant so when I saw Eggplant & Tofu Emerald on the menu, I knew I had to get it. Plus, it's a great non-meat dish to get if you're looking for that. The tofu was cooked perfectly; it had a nice fried texture on the outside and soaked up the sauce well. The Chinese eggplant was plentiful and cooked well. I wish the ratio of tofu and eggplant was more equal; it was more like 1/3 tofu and 2/3 eggplant which I didn't particularly enjoy. Decent Thai food to try if you're in Orlando! There's a lot of Thai decor which added to the ambiance and tons of seating so you shouldn't have any issue being seated right away. read more

The drunkin noodles (Phad Kee Mao) with beef is to die for! I forgot to take a photo but it was pretty also. My husband had the phad Thai with chicken and it was okay, and my friend had phad Bai kapaw with chicken and rice and she really liked it. We all ordered it mild and it was. For entrees, we got the crispy duck curry, yum woon sen salad, and seafood claypot (which did not come in a claypot sadly). Portions were huge. They should really improve the entry doors! Inside, the decor is really interesting. Someone on Yelp said "dusty," and that's accurate. We ordered the Pad Thai and a chicken and shrimp, sweet chilli stir fry. Service was helpful and quick. The stir fry was a hit--lots of flavor. The Pad Thai was okay. We really enjoyed the speed of service because we were heading somewhere else. The menu is overwhelming--lots to consider. It's not ideal to have a menu that is presented like a small bound book.
