Stopped by Nit Noi Thai Kitchen for a Sunday evening pickup around 6 with my girlfriend. The spot itself is a solid medium-sized setup with decent ambience--nothing flashy, but comfortable enough. We ordered the chicken fried rice, chicken pad Thai, and some spring rolls. The spring rolls were easily the standout--fresh, hot, and actually packed with flavor. Everything arrived warm and properly prepared, and the prices were right in line with what you'd expect for Thai food. That said, the pad Thai and fried rice were surprisingly flat. Tough texture and almost no seasoning, which is hard to pull off with Thai food. Even the tofu managed to come through flavorless. After hitting 20+ Thai spots over the years, this one ranks pretty low on the flavor scale for me. Still edible and clearly made fresh, so I'm not writing it off completely. I'd consider it again if nothing else was open and I just needed something solid. Just don't go in expecting big flavor. read more

Heyyyy this place was actually really really good. I was over at the Ritz and felt like eating thai food and my wife found this place over in Hunters Creek so we decided to check it out. Nobody was in there and its next to an abandoned Sports Clips so I was like wtf this place is gonna be whatever. I was wrong. The crab rangoon jams were so good and filled up. The curry soup was really really good. I choked. I had the regular pad thai and it was so good. The weird part was the tv choice, it was the video of a band / artist playing cover songs in the craziest places like mountains and deserted islands or on a dingy boat with prop mics and their instruments. We were in the area and craving Thai Food. Saw great reviews for this place and came here on Saturday evening. It's a cozy little place with minimal decor. Most of the tables were full and it looked like they were getting lot of to-go orders as well. We were seated pretty quickly. But the service was very slow. The server came to get our drink orders after almost 15 mins of us sitting. We were ready to order the whole meal. It took more than 30 mins for the food to come out. We were not very hungry and not in a rush, so we did not mind the wait. But it looked like they were short staffed. I had ordered Kee Mao Fried Rice (vegetarian with tofu), but the server got noodles instead of rice. I informed the server and he said he could take it back and bring rice, but it would have taken time. The noodles tasted great. I really liked the tofu, seemed like stir fried and slightly crisp. Fam got Pineapple Fried Rice, Drunken Noodles and Veg Spring Rolls (everything vegetarian). Everyone liked the taste and flavor. We had no leftovers. Unsure if we will come back. First off, I'd already had such a long morning but lunch at Nit Noi definitely brightened my day. The ambiance was amazing. They had the peaceful, "Travel, Love, Music" playlist on the Telly., sigh. Good Times. My meal: Water, Pad Thai, Thai salad, and veggie spring roll. Remember lunch price, all under $15.00. This was the best FRESH Thai I've had in a while. Was magical the way they're able to crisp their tofu so it's crunchy on the outside and still moist on the inside. I didn't actually go to the location, but I ordered some Uber eats and wow! I got the pad Thai and it was delicious! On the UE app, I was able to pick what kind of meat I wanted and the level of spicy; I did chicken and medium heat. This plate was a good portion for $15 and packed flavor! Their pad Thai has a special tamarind sauce making it so delicious! If the food is that good after an UE wait, I can't imagine in person at their restaurant! I called countless times to let them be aware of it and ultimately went back to the store where it took nearly 10 minutes before being approached again. Once i explained to the server what happened, she brought out my food (which was cold) and advised she gave extra rice. There was no extra rice. We went here after their "renovation" and the only thing renovated was the portion size. It's gone from good portion to 1-2 bite portion. The lunch special comes with an eggroll and soup/salad but the portion of the entree was just as small as that! They're charging the same price for a smaller portion. Take my eggroll and soup/salad and give me my portion back, please. I won't be coming back until then. It's good but not that good if the portion size can be eaten in 1-2 bites. Service was horrible and food was not good. Arrived at the restaurant around 5:30PM and placed two orders. Waitress mentioned 30 minutes wait for the order. I came back 30 minutes later and waitress said another 5 minutes for the order to complete. Ended up leaving the establishment at 7PM only to see the order was not placed in until 6:13PM. Other customers that chose to dine in was waiting at least 45 minutes for the food to arrive to the table. Food was sour and certainly not worth $45, and certainly not worth the wait.
