A2. Summer Roll
Erica W.

I'm a big pho lover and a total Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives fan, so when I saw Guy had been here, I had to check it out. I started simple with the summer rolls, cheap, fresh, and came with this sweet peanut sauce that hit just right. The waiter who helped us was super friendly and helped us figure out what to order. We went with the combo pho that had everything: rare steak, brisket, flank, tendon, tripe, and meatballs. The broth was flavorful and you can't go wrong with all the fixings like Thai basil, bean sprouts, hoisin, and a little sriracha. I love that it's clearly family-owned. The inside hasn't been updated in forever but honestly, that's part of the charm. I even noticed a party room in the back which is such a cool touch. Service was fast too. Can't wait to come back and try more stuff next time!

C1. Sauteed Cube Beef Shaking Beef

The Shaking Beef was good but pretty standard, and the Guys pick was a unique taste but also good. I felt from other's comments I was expecting something a bit more surprising but I thought overall it was quite average. The kids loved it so I can't complain, but living far from here I can defiantly name other Vietnamese places in the area that I'd rather have. Give it to Guy Fiery to make me try this place out of curiosity but if you were to ask me it's not my #1 Vietnamese place.

Chicken and shrimp

We stopped in for lunch. The restaurant is much nicer on the inside than the appearance of the exterior. We were greeted by Lee and taken to a booth. After reviewing the extensive menu, Lee asked what we liked ~ seafood, soup, salad? He took our menus and we left our selections in his hands. The Shaken beef salad bowl was the best of our two dishes. The beef was very tender, cooked a perfect medium rare and very tasty. The chicken shrimp dish was also cooked perfectly but the sauce was a little too sweet for me and the vegetables were mostly large slices of onions. I would have it again but ask for a different sauce and vegetable. Service is efficient, friendly and the food arrived very quickly.

Hidden gem that we stumbled upon! It was yummy, service was great and we came home with food! Highly recommend for some yummy food if you are on that side of town

Shaker beef

I have lived in Orlando for 18 years and I am mad that this is my first time dining at Saigon. What a gem! The menu is extensive, there is something for anyone from soups, noodles, rice dishes, traditional dishes, and all at a pretty reasonable price point. I started with the wonton soup which had 5 pork-filled wontons and a delicious broth that was not over-salted. For dinner, I had the shaker beef, which was the star of the show. With tender beef pieces in a sweet garlic butter sauce - YUM! My husband had the chicken pho and it was MASSIVE, packed with fresh vegetables and noodles. The kids enjoyed the clear noodles with chicken, also packed with vegetables. Mom approved! Now for the service. My kids couldn't stop laughing and playing with our waiter who was also the owner. What a nice guy. He made the kid's evening and was of course super attentive. All the staff help out throughout the restaurant. You gotta check this place out :).

Grinded Shrimp & Crab Noodle Soup

If you enjoy seafood pho, you'll love the Grinded Shrimp & Crab Soup. I decided to give it a try instead of pho, and it didn't disappoint. The service was great--I was seated quickly and checked on repeatedly by multiple staff members. You can tell from the vibe and decor that this is an authentic, family-owned restaurant.

Sampler what's left

Good was good we had the sampler and The gyoza and spring rolls were all fantastic. I had the soup and my wife had a udon seafood dish both were prepared for us after our server Lee just asked what we wanted and decided for us it was awesome. Really the only drawback of the place is it has a funky odor inside which my wife had issues with other wise everything was great if in the area I would stop back.

Super great Pho!! Everything comes out super quick, we probably waited like 5 minutes or less for the Pho to come out. The broth was delicious and the noddles were cooked perfectly. Typical toppings included such as basil, jalapeños, lime, and bean sprouts. Priced were good and the restaurant on the inside was clean and cozy. Would definitely come back.

Pho

Loved this place! Stopped in after the drone show at lake eola was canceled so we could get something warm to eat and pho is a family favorite! Service was quick and extremely polite. I felt like I'd seen the shop before and the signs around the store let me know why - they were on Guy's show featuring hidden gems across the country. This spot really is a gem!

Can someone tell me if they have options for the fussy people that won't eat this type of food? My sister is moving back to Michigan at the end of February. Her husband won't try anything different. Also, can dishes be done without fresh cilantro?

I would advise you to share with him the menu online to see if her hubby sees anything that he would eat. My hubby also doesn't eat this type of food and just dropped me off. Otherwise he would have just sat to watch me eat and keep me company. If… Read more

Then we had the C10 platter which is this steak platter with vegetables and rice and we also had the Pad Thai. The dishes were so flavorful and the portions are very generous. I honestly will need to come back because they have so many options, including hot pot. Service was so friendly, you literally feel right at home. Tiny hole in the wall but once you're inside there is a very nice amount of seating, both tables and a barstool area to sit at. I placed an order and proceeded to sit at the bar area and wait for my food. Once it came out (super fast despite how many people were there), I understood why the sandwiches here are a little on the pricier side. The Ya-Mon which is jerk chicken, sweet plantains, pork rinds, jalapeno pesto, mango jam, gouda, jerk lime mayo, was heavenly. All the flavors blended in perfectly and the bread was so soft. The lime mayo was outstanding! It was about $16 and we'll worth every penny. The staff was super friendly and got everything cooked and sent out to each table very quickly. I will say if you come here during peak times, be ready to take the order to eat in your car or somewhere else because the tables filled up insanely fast while I was here!

I do wish their patio had more coverage though, great little outside seating area but often the sun is beating down on you and that sucks.
