My son and I have eaten here three times this week. We have both been craving a really good boba place and stumbled in for lunch. We had never had Vietnamese food before, we asked for recommendations and were told the pho was good. We added an order of summer rolls and were not disappointed, the food arrived fresh and plentiful. They brought a plate of bean sprouts, freah basil, jalapeños, and limes. We loaded up the soup to let the basil stew for a minute and tore into the summer rolls. What an amazing rush of flavor, between the flavor of the shrimp to the crunch of the cabbage every bite was bliss, and don't forget to slather the peanut sauce! The noodles in the pho were good, the choice of proteins for the broth included chicken breast (my son's choice), dark meat chicken, and three cuts of beef. I tried the round and the brisket, stick with the round it had better flavor and texture. The boba was good, lots of flavor and the pearls were great. Any time we travel and have time to explore we try to support family operated non chain restaurants. From our hotel it was a long drive. When we entered the restaurant no-one was eating in their dining room however it looks like they do a brisk call in business. Their sining room has 7 tables with three tables with four seats and the rest with two. Overall the restaurant is clean and decently decorated. My wife and daughter ordered pho and my other daughter ordered fried rice. I ordered the Pad Thai. While it took a little time, everything was cooked fresh. I decided to try this spot in my neighborhood for dinner last night as I've passed it many times on the way home before. I'm so glad I finally tried them! I would describe the food as light and healthy. The fried rice was lightly fried without too much oil or salt and I loveeee this way of cooking! I was most excited for the wings. Sadly I could barely taste any garlic or butter. A sprinkle of salt helped greatly though. I might have been better off trying the fish sauce. I just ordered this place for the first time off Postmates and it was so good. I'd seen it come up for delivery but never tried it until now and I wish I had. I got the fresh chicken rolls, rare beef pho, a combo of vermicelli and a roti. Everything was so good and packaged really nicely. The beef in my pho was thin and actually cooked without having to reheat the soup too much and the broth reminded me flavor wise of the soups I'd gotten while living in California. Decided to venture out to pick up food a little farther than usual. Had a hankering for some pho and saw this spot on Yelp of course. I was glad I went out of my way to try this spot. They are located in the Chickasaw/ Curry Ford area in the corner of a non descript plaza that has a Latin Bakery as well. The restaurant looks updated and modern inside and everything is neat and clean. We ordered over the phone and picked it up in the restaurant. We ordered 2 chicken pho, 2 vegetarian with crispy tofu, 2 orders of roti paratha cakes with coconut curry sauce, and one yum squid. The vegetarian pho was flavorful and came with all of the basil, mint, sprouts and lime. The tofu was incredible and stayed crisp even on the long drive home. Everything was delicious packaged separately so nothing was soggy. The chicken pho was light and tasty too. I added lime and jalapeño to kick it up. We all really enjoyed the yum squid. It was a very delicious papaya salad with a generous portion of squid. It was so fresh and flavorful! One of the best papaya salads I have had. Also when they use onions in your pho, they add whole slices which can be overwhelming at first but, mix in some more bean sprouts and other stuff in your bowl and you'll be fine. I paid for extra rice-noodles because not only do I love them, "They were great" but, I feel like you need to get them to balance out the onions. I will have to ding the beef balls though. A new delicious Vietnamese restaurant hits the streets with popular Vietnamese dishes. It is owned and run by a local family who wants to share Vietnamese street fare with the Orlando community. I'm glad they're not saving these dishes for only their family gatherings and are sharing the dishes with everyone instead. What's better than delicious, flavorful dishes that are also great for your wallet!? A little bird also told me how they have special menu items here and there on weekends. Make sure you ask them if they have any if you visit during the weekends. Don't forget to Pho It Up with a bowl of pho, where you can decide each step what to add from the broth to how much noodles and protein you'd prefer. They even have vegetarian options (photographed here)! The next popular Vietnamese dish is the Vermicelli, which I love with their well-seasoned pork. Their fish sauce isn't as fishy as other places, which is nice. It has a sweetness to it, but it's not overpowering because they are pretty good at making their own. Many of you may not know that fish sauce served to you with dishes isn't coming directly from the bottle you find in stores, but it is diluted with vinegar, sugar, etc. I love this dish when I'm not in the mood for soup. Street Fare options also include Roti Paratha Cakes. The sauce is like a curry and the roti is made nice and warm. Be careful because it comes out steaming. I crave this every day since I have had it. I can't wait to have my foodie meet up and share it with other foodie enthusiasts so I hope I see you there. Phoresh Noodles also has chicken wings, which are super crispy on the outside yet moist and tender on the inside. They're made with garlic butter and fish sauce. It sounds odd, but it tastes great. Trust me. Yum Squid is another that you may not run into often. The squid is served shredded with papaya, red onion, cilantro, and a Thai chili sauce. Although it says Thai chili, it's not Thai hot so don't sweat it. While you wait for your food, enjoy some fresh lemonade. It was my first time having fresh lemonade the Vietnamese way and I wish ordering this had free refills because I'd drink it all day.
