Pho 88 is a great spot for some high quality traditional Vietnamese food. The atmosphere has a diner-like feel to it, with Vietnamese art pieces decorating the walls. There is a large dining area, so this spot is also perfect for larger gatherings. Everything was also very clean and it wasn't crowded at all at 5:00PM, so I was seated immediately. The service was great as well. Servers were polite and stayed very on top of things. The food came out within 5-10 minutes of getting there and my water was refilled often. I started with the crispy chicken wings, and they were delicious. The wings were brought out still sizzling and they were crispy and flavorful. They came with a side of garlic chili sauce with a more mild heat than I'm used to. It was delicious, but as a spice guy, it wasn't quite spicy enough for me. I also ordered the Combination Pho, which was rich and had lots of different types of meat added to it. Again, it was not as spicy as I would have hoped, but the meat was juicy and the broth was super savory. I would just have wanted it to have a bit more OOMPH if you know what I mean. Overall though, great meal. This place is perfect for a nice family-style traditional Vietnamese dinner. I give it 16/20 Freys, mostly just based on personal biases with the spice levels. FREY OUT!

The guy and I always get pho when we are in a new city together. So in Orlando, we had to find a place! We used Yelp to find Pho88! After an evening downtown, it made sense! We arrived and were seated right away! The young lady who seared us was very friendly! You could tell that this is a family run restaurant. We placed our orders very quickly as we knew what we wanted right away. Our bowls of pho came out fairly fast! I always taste the broth prior to dressing my bowl and this broth was so good! It was clear...a great sign...and very flavorful. And they did not skimp on the beef either! I thoroughly enjoyed this place and will definitely remember it for a future visit.

A great local spot that has been there for years! You have to give it a try! They have all the classic Vietnamese dishes, but I can only speak about the pho. It's my go to every time! I work in the area, and what I love is you are in and out so quick. I walk in, seated immediately, order, and not 5 min later you are eating! Staff are always super friendly and quick to meet your needs. The broth at Pho 88 is super flavorful, and subtly complex. Not spicy, so don't fear! I us usually get the special, the brisket is a real treat! The setting is excactky what you want and expect. It's decorated with on brand Vietnamese iconography and it's clean and well kept! If you've never been, you have to stop by

This is a quiet resturant with a large dining area. I was surprised by the size of the resturant. There is plenty of lot parking around the building but also several street parking spots as well. The service was very fast. Within minutes of seating, we had waters and time to look over the menu. I would say the pricing is a bit higher than other Vietnamese places in town but I think the difference is in the portions. I ordered the pho with all the meats (I love tendon!) and took some home for lunch the next day. The broth is absolutely amazing. Perfect rainy day broth. I also got an order of the spring rolls which were the best rolls I have had in town. The filling did not fall out after my first bite and the peanut sauce was immaculate. My date got the curry and it also was a massive portion with plenty left over. She did mention it was a tad bit spicy for her but spice is unique to everyone. All in all, I'd definitely go back to this place. They had an interesting lunch menu but I'm not close enough to go during the week.

The pho soup base is pretty comparable to the ones in Los Angeles. I thought the food was delicious.

I went to Pho 88 from the recommendation of a friend who loves it and it was a great place to go. We were seated right away and the staff was super friendly and welcoming. I had the chicken pho which was gluten free. The chicken and broth together were delicious and it was a good size portion. If you're in the Mills area I would definitely give this place a try!

Located on a busy road, there is a decent number of parking available when you drive in. Restaurant is big and spacious, we were welcomed in immediately by the servers. I ordered a beef pho, which is usually served with the raw beef cooking in the pho broth. When the server brought the bowl out, the beef had been totally cooked already. I do prefer my beef to be raw in my pho when served to me. Otherwise the taste of the broth was light enough to satisfy my cravings. I also ordered the soursop smoothie which was delicious. Vietnamese restaurants usually have it on the menu but they usually don't have it available in my experience, so I was happy that they had it when I was there.

Everything looked clean and bright inside but their indoor fountain wasn't running. We ordered the spring rolls with peanut sauce which was really good and a must order. We also ordered two hot teas and some fried honey shrimp with broccoli. There ended up being a sticker left on the bell peppers and we alerted the staff without sending it back or causing a raucous and they gave us a $10 off discount which I thought was really nice. Other than that all the food was good and I was happy with the service. However, I do miss how the hot tea used to come in a teapot with little cups.

The exterior and interior both follow the same black and white illustrated design style. The only thing missing was the chairs not being outlined as well, because that would've tied the theme together even more. Lots of parking available. Ordering is done at the counter before being seated. Service was friendly, and teachers get a complimentary drink with their entrée. I ordered the Black Ox noodle soup, which costs $28 and is tied with the short rib pho as the most expensive pho option on the menu. The bowl only comes in one size. It included sliced beef, beef brisket, and two pieces of oxtail, one large and one small. The oxtail was very tender and fell off the bone easily although I wish I had more oxtail since two of the pieces were bone only. The brisket was also well cooked and flavorful. Noodles were on the firm side and I wish the broth was a lot more hotter. On the side they provide bean sprouts, jalapeños, basil leaves, and two lime wedges. I also tried the Thai iced tea. It was a bit too sweet for my preference, so I wasn't able to finish it. They have one family washroom and one regular washroom available. Wooden chopsticks are provided, and plastic forks are available too. The food was solid, especially the oxtail, though the pricing does lean on the expensive side.

Of the zensai (appetizers), I've tried the Tatsuta-Age, which was pretty tasty. Hot and crispy with good flavor. The udon is also top notch. They make it in house. Perfect chewy texture, what Taiwanese would call "QQ" I realized after my second visit that I still have not tried an udon with hot broth. I've tried the Spicy Miso Tan-Tan Udon, which was quite tasty, although a little on the richer/heavier side. I have also tried the Mentaiko Tsukimi Udon which was refreshing in the cold broth. I paired it with an add-on of sliced beef, which was delicious, they serve it on the side so you can add to whatever dish on your own. What I wouldn't recommend... The Viet Coffee with sesame foam and crushed sesame seeds was hard to drink. I loved the initial flavors but the foam got a little greasy and clumpy when mixed with the crushed sesame seeds, particularly toward the second half of the coffee. I wouldn't order it again. I would be interested to see any updates they've made recently but with so many new restaurants on Mills, I may choose those first.

We wanted to try the wontons in chili oil but they were sadly out so we ended up getting the big beef skewers. The flavoring on them was sooo good. But we did have a lot of super chewy and fatty pieces that we weren't really a fan of. The noodles came out so quickly and they were streaming hot, which we loved. The clear broth is super clean and light with a very herbal fragrance to it. Like I feel like that would be perfect to drink if you were sick. But not being sick, I did end up adding some soy sauce just to give it some more flavor. But I like that with the sauces at the table, you can kinda just customize to your liking. I think the knife cut noodles are probably my favorite type of noodles here, but the hor fun goes really well with the clear broth. I also tried the green grape fruit tea and it was so refreshing! The flavor wasn't artificial at all and it was so nice to have with the hot noodles. I think this spot is super worth if you're the type to order extra noodles, or if you're a big eater. But the portions were pretty satisfying enough on the first go for us (def not a bad thing), so we didn't get to do any refills.
