Took our family here this weekend to share one of our favorite local Vietnamese spots! The ambiance inside is very simple, super clean. I really appreciated that the server helped us validate our parking first thing before we even ordered! Summer rolls were the best I've had in a long time compared to other places in town. They absolutely have my favorite peanut sauce, it was incredibly rich and creamy. And I kept it for the rest of my food as well. I got pad Thai with tofu and my husband got a pork bahn mi. Definitely not my favorite bahn mi in town, but the pad Thai was great. The tofu was incredibly well seasoned and the noodles had a great flavor and chew. Always a good go to spot for pho. We came during lunch and it wasn't super busy. This is a no frills place and has an unsuspecting feel where you can drive by and don't know it's good pho. We tried the new pork spring roll which was very tasty but the pork is a bit jerky like. The parking is a bit confusing, it looks like you have to pay for parking but may be potentially complimentary for restaurant guests. We parked on the street, which is free. read more

Pho 88 is near a lot of places dear to my heart so it took me longer than I'd like to admit give them a try but I'm sure glad I did. The moment we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff. I ordered the egg rolls they were perfectly crispy and flavorful with delicious fish sauce. I got pho with meatballs and tendons the tendons were cooked to perfection and the broth is so flavorful. I love it. Had lunch here -- nice, bright, and cool inside. Always drove by this place and thought I'd finally give it a stab. Had the combination pho and the herbal dessert drink -- both were very good. The drink had a great combination of whole herbs -- not a what you'd regularly expect. I was pleasantly surprised. DONT EAT HERE!! They served me moldy onions with my takeout pho. BLACK MOLD!! When I called, they were unapologetic and not even surprised. The guy on the phone was like "oh ok ya I'll write your name down so you can get a free meal next time" then HUNG UP. I called back because obviously there wont be a next time, (the pho was terrible anyways, the noodles were stringy and dehydrated) and he tried to hang up on me again when asking for a refund. Pho 88 is a great spot for some high quality traditional Vietnamese food. The atmosphere has a diner-like feel to it, with Vietnamese art pieces decorating the walls. There is a large dining area, so this spot is also perfect for larger gatherings. Everything was also very clean and it wasn't crowded at all at 5:00PM, so I was seated immediately. The service was great as well. Servers were polite and stayed very on top of things. The food came out within 5-10 minutes of getting there and my water was refilled often. I started with the crispy chicken wings, and they were delicious. The wings were brought out still sizzling and they were crispy and flavorful. They came with a side of garlic chili sauce with a more mild heat than I'm used to. It was delicious, but as a spice guy, it wasn't quite spicy enough for me. I also ordered the Combination Pho, which was rich and had lots of different types of meat added to it. Again, it was not as spicy as I would have hoped, but the meat was juicy and the broth was super savory. I would just have wanted it to have a bit more OOMPH if you know what I mean. Overall though, great meal. This place is perfect for a nice family-style traditional Vietnamese dinner. I give it 16/20 Freys, mostly just based on personal biases with the spice levels. The guy and I always get pho when we are in a new city together. So in Orlando, we had to find a place! We used Yelp to find Pho88! After an evening downtown, it made sense! We arrived and were seated right away! The young lady who seared us was very friendly! You could tell that this is a family run restaurant. We placed our orders very quickly as we knew what we wanted right away. Our bowls of pho came out fairly fast! I always taste the broth prior to dressing my bowl and this broth was so good! It was clear...a great sign...and very flavorful. And they did not skimp on the beef either! I thoroughly enjoyed this place and will definitely remember it for a future visit. read more

This is a quiet resturant with a large dining area. I was surprised by the size of the resturant. There is plenty of lot parking around the building but also several street parking spots as well. The service was very fast. Within minutes of seating, we had waters and time to look over the menu. I would say the pricing is a bit higher than other Vietnamese places in town but I think the difference is in the portions. I ordered the pho with all the meats (I love tendon!) and took some home for lunch the next day. The broth is absolutely amazing. Perfect rainy day broth. I also got an order of the spring rolls which were the best rolls I have had in town. The filling did not fall out after my first bite and the peanut sauce was immaculate. My date got the curry and it also was a massive portion with plenty left over. She did mention it was a tad bit spicy for her but spice is unique to everyone. Food was horrible. The meat tasted like moose knuckles with no seasoning. The service was horrible the server never checked on us at all.

I ordered the bun, vermicelli noodle dish with grilled pork. Hubby orders the Bún bò Huế, spicy beef vermicelli noodle soup, and the kids had the chicken fried rice. Everything was delicious, my daughter decided half way she stop eating her rice and wanted my noodles. This is the first she's happily eating noodles with fish sauce. The service was good. Located on a busy road, there is a decent number of parking available when you drive in. Restaurant is big and spacious, we were welcomed in immediately by the servers. I ordered a beef pho, which is usually served with the raw beef cooking in the pho broth. When the server brought the bowl out, the beef had been totally cooked already. I do prefer my beef to be raw in my pho when served to me. Otherwise the taste of the broth was light enough to satisfy my cravings. I also ordered the soursop smoothie which was delicious. Everything looked clean and bright inside but their indoor fountain wasn't running. We ordered the spring rolls with peanut sauce which was really good and a must order. We also ordered two hot teas and some fried honey shrimp with broccoli. There ended up being a sticker left on the bell peppers and we alerted the staff without sending it back or causing a raucous and they gave us a $10 off discount which I thought was really nice. Been here twice, second time around, the prices have gone up quite a bit which is fine because everything is going up in price. My problem is I'm paying more money for less food...You can see from my pic the first time going months ago, the chicken pho was pretty full, plenty noodles and chicken. Second time... you can barely see the contents in the bowl. Don't have a problem with price increases but at least give the same amount of food.... And I agree with others, the service is pretty bland so don't expect much there. read more

This place is one of the original OG pho spots in the area. Been here a few times over the years but finally get a chance to review it. The big strength of this place is that the restaurant is spacious with a lot of seating so you get quickly seated and quickly served. The pho is flavorful and consistent. It isn't the lightest broth but not too heavy and oily either. Also this is one of the few pho places that allows you to choose pho tai and meatballs in the same bowl, for some reason a lot of pho places don't have this as an option unless you go to one of the "build your own pho bowl" places in town. The rice plate was cold and the beef/pork were shredded and sort of tasted spoiled. 100% not a fan of a rice plate that doesn't require a knife to cut into the meat.
