Yummy House has to be one of the most authentic dine-in Chinese restaurants still in the area. From the moment I walked in, the ambience gave me that traditional Chinese restaurant vibe. I came for lunch, but when I've passed by in the past, it's always been extremely busy. But although they were busy with a lunch rush, I was immediately greeted and told to choose where I would like to sit. The server came and got my order and also asked if I had any questions on the menu; if I had been before or not. I heard good things about the salt and pepper calamari so I chose to start off with that. The serving was huge and the calamari was crispy and flavorful. Even had enough to take a serving home with me for later it was SO GOOD. For my entrée, I opted the beef and broccoli. The lunch comes with the main dish, a side of rice and a fountain drink. The food came out fairly quickly, and it was steaming hot. The veggies were crunchy and the beef was tender. The rice was cooked well and complimented well with the flavorful sauce. My family has been here many times, but I have not. I'm so glad I finally got to check them out. I will definitely be back again soon. read more

So many people rave about this place, but our takeout order was terrible. My husband wanted to try their orange chicken with rice and veg and the sides and the chicken was very dry and overall tasted very sweet like vanilla cake. Awful. I ordered the beef chow fun. I liked the kind of noodles they used, but everything tasted charred and very burnt. The onion pieces were burnt on the ends but still raw through the middle. I think the sauce may have been where the burned taste was coming from. The beef was a good texture, but couldn't get past the taste. We thought the pan fried dumplings would be a safe bet, but they didn't taste like anything. Still, they weren't as bad as the other two items. We threw everything away and wasted $60 after tip. I'm glad other people like this restaurant, but we won't order again. read more

Just had dinner tonight around 6:30, we had a large party of 9 of which I called earlier just to make sure we could get a table without a wait. We were sat immediately and our drink orders were taking shortly after. Took us a few minutes to figure out what to order and the waiter came over to take it. We ordered eight dishes all of which came out very hot and tasty. The portion sizes we're very good enough to feed all nine people and to take some of it home. The service was excellent our water was filled and our dishes were cleared as we ate them. It was a pretty busy night all the tables were full and it seemed to be a steady line of people taking to go. Everybody had a good time and will definitely be back read more

I ordered during the Red Hot & Boom fireworks show at Crane's Roost. They were closing soon, but said they had food & people were walking in picking up their to go orders. Someone was sweeping the floor. The noodles lacked seasoning. They should've tasted like curry, & they had almost nothing in them. Sad bland boring noodles at a very high price, completely disappointing. Not worth the price. I ate here a lot many years ago. This was unrecognizable, different food than before. Soup was good. read more

We have been to this restaurant dozen of times throughout its opening in altamonte and never thought to take pics and write review! But after many years of trying new places we return to familiar and consistent good food. The service was good and attentive. Our food runner and server were both good and polite. Lunch here got busy pretty quick and we are glad we came! We ordered dim sum and some kitchen food and had plenty of leftover to bring home for dinner Def a trusted place to come and dine whether just a lunch date or family dinner with kids read more

Great experience. The service was excellent, the servers were so nice and attentive, and the food came out really quickly. I like that it's not too loud inside, making it easy to have conversations at the table. The menu has a ton of options, so it was honestly hard to choose because everything sounded good. We ordered the salt and pepper eggplant, beef chow fun, and Singapore style rice noodles, and all three dishes were delicious. The portions are also very large, definitely enough to share plates with the table. read more

Yummy house is one of my favorite places to grab chinese locally. I really enjoy their roast duck and mongolian beef. The rice and noodles are also tasty and not very greasy. Service is very prompt! read more

I love it here! We come here every once in a while. The food is delicious and very affordable which matters a lot with the prices of most places being so high. The service is always great and the restaurant is always clean looking. Their calamari is amazing-truthfully I've never had anything here that wasn't good. All their food is soooo good that's why it's called yummy house! I get their pan friend seafood noodles and calamari every time. I will always recommend it and continue coming with family and friends! read more

Saturday night at 7pm we were easily able to get a table for 4. By 8 the place was near full so take that into acct when planning your trip. Multiple servers were working the room helping out where needed. The ambiance is fine. Nothing amazing and my only dislike was how BRIGHTLY the plaza lights shine into the tables along the windows. When they came on I felt like I was in an interrogation room. Now to the food- I have been craving old school NY Chinese food and this is the closest I have come. We started with the egg rolls and calamari. I'm going to be honest the egg rolls were fine. Nothing amazing but decent. The calamari was meh. The coating was the same stuff you see on the little fried doughnuts you sometimes get at places like this. It was odd. It wasn't. Served with any kind of dipping sauce which may have helped the coating. The topping on it was good - fresh jalapeño, crispy garlic and red pepper. But over all it was a flop for us. For our entrees we had the Beef chow fun which was amazing! Beef was tender and flavorful and the noodles were cooked perfectly. I only wish there was some kind of veg in the dish. My husband had the everything fried rice and it was also delicious! We will absolutely be back to try more entree items!! read more

This place is so good. The food is fresh, not as greasy as your local Chinese spots. You can taste the freshness of the food here. It's served as family size portions. The service is quick and attentive, the waiters work the room, there's never a a conversation of "this is my table" they all help you. The space is a decent size and there can be a wait at times but at most I e waited 15mins. It's not noisy, it's a calm inviting atmosphere. Family friendly. I tried it for the first time late 2025 and have been back multiple times since. read more

Everything started great, food great. What ruined it was the lady at the front register demanding a tip. She didn't ever give me a chance. You can't make anyone give a tip it is entirely the customer choice and discretion. It was really hard to want to give a tip at that point. Let me pay for my food and decide. There is no obligation to give a tip. Don't do that again ever. read more

Came here on a Saturday night with my husband. It wasn't too busy inside. There were tables available so we didn't have to wait. We did however wait a little while for our order to be taken. Eventually we had to ask for someone to come take our order. The food all came out hot and delicious. It was so flavorful and we got to have plenty of leftovers for the next day. We will certainly return. read more

The 4 stars on Yelp led me to try this place twice and was disappointed both times. Same as the previous the beef chow fun was a good portion but didn't taste right, something was just off with the seasoning. The bistro and house fried rice was good but the hot and sour soup and orange chicken just was not it. Soup was more runny than what it should be and an odd light orange color instead of the usually thicker brown. I was craving orange chicken (yes I know it's not authentic) and this was the worst we've had anywhere. The chicken was overly breaded, and the sauce was inedible. I can appreciate that they left it separately but it was beyond sweet and not in a good way. Tasted like what you would get in a fruit cup with Mandarin oranges. Sorry but just not for us and would not recommend unless you just want fried rice. read more

This is definitely my go to chinese spot. I have tried about 15-20 dishes on their menu and everything has always been 5 stars. The wonton soup is the best in Orlando in my opinion. Dimsum is great and there are so many options to choose from. Service is super fast and always very kind. It can get busy fast so definitely get there early. Portions are huge and can definitely be shareable/family style but that is perfect because you definitely want to try many things here! read more

First time here. Came on lunch with co-workers. The waitstaffs are nice and the foods are good with each dishes having distinct tastes. The duck skin was crispy and not salty or greasy. It's the first time I've seen Pekin Duck being served with gua bao instead of the wrap. The vegetables are all very fresh. There's little scallops in the seafood fried rice. Their hot tea are charged per person, $.99, but will be served in a tea pot. They definitely fill up for lunch rush. read more

Yummy House has always been a hit with my family. This is one of several locations and they're all pretty much on par with each other. They specialize in Cantonese style Chinese food. Food was great, best Chinese food I've found in the area since moving here from SoCal 4 years ago!

First and last visit made in one! After all the hype by a social influencer, was disappointed on a couple of items. Salt & Pepper wings appetizer was over cooked and extremely dry and tough. The sizzling pork chops with black pepper sauce were way over cooked and so tough it was almost impossible to cut with a knife. Very disappointing!!! The only bright spot was the flavorful Hot & Sour Seafood soup. Suggest you enjoy the soups and move to another restaurant for your entrees. read more

We got take out today, salt &pepper calamari, beef chow fu , yummy chicken and seafood pan fried noodles. It seems a different chef is working today as the food is either too salty or did not have enough seasoning. The pan fried noodles seems to have been baked resulting in less chewy noodles. read more

I ordered salt and pepper shrimp for delivery. I received salt and pepper chicken wings. These people are idiots.

Food was ok. 5/10. Need improvement big time. Special fried rice and beef and onions were tasteless.

KUDOS to the staff for providing supreme quality customer service! We ordered lunch specials containing Honey Walnut Chicken and Sesame Chicken . It was delicious! The ambiance was quiet ! I highly recommend all to come and visit to support this local business! read more

Yummy House is a local institution. We hadn't been there in years but we had family staying in Altamonte so chose it for dinner. It's not that we didn't like it in the past but we're just lazy about driving more than 10 minutes. Portions are generous, food is tasty. Classic Cantonese several steps above fast take out. Though our dinners came out sizzling hot and lightning fast The seafood pan fried noodles had lots of scallops, shrimp and some squid along with perfectly cooked baby bok Choy that was super tender and easy to eat. Just wish the noodles came out more crispy. Our less adventurous guests enjoyed their cashew chicken. Scanning a few tables near by we saw a huge chow fun which will be our next order. Prices are very reasonable Will have to add it to our rotation read more

I wish I lived closer to Yummy House. If I did, I would be here all the time. The service is fantastic, and the food is always delicious. The salt and pepper tofu is a must every time. I also adore the snow pea tips with roasted garlic and vegetable lo mein. The ambiance is nice, and they have a lot of tables. I was with a large party during my last visit, and we were sat at a round table with a lazy susan built-in to pass food around. I loved this, as it made it so easy to pass dishes around to share. read more

One of the better Cantonese restaurants which I've eaten at since moving to Florida. Ordered Singapore Noodles, Beef and Vegetables, Special Fried Rice and a Chicken Curry. All were tasty and substantial orders. I felt that the curry dishes could use a bit more curry flavor and heat. Otherwise, extremely serviceable spot with friendly, efficient service as well. Recommended. read more

WOWZA! This place is unique and incredible. I just recently went to 2 different dim sum restaurants in Philadelphia Chinatown and King of Prussia which were great, but Yummy House blows both of them out of the water! The Crystal Shrimp Hargow dumplings are the best I've ever had possibly, even better than Noodle Wong in Parsippany, New Jersey which I consider the gold standard. The prices are fair too. I only wish that they offered lunch specials on Saturdays. Most Chinese restaurants at least give you that option, but it's not a big deal when the quality is so high. The ambiance is alluring too with nice Ming based on the walls and exotic Chinese tea cup sets. Service is quick and efficient bringing out everything as it's made with a friendly welcoming smile. This place is one of my new favorite restaurants in Florida and some of the best dim sum in the country. read more

Wonderful good and great service. We were waiting for some friends to join us, but told them the wrong location. We ordered the turnip cake, steamed pork buns, fried pork dumplings, and sesame balls. Everything was delicious and fresh. The turnip cake texture was so smooth and silky, not lumpy like others I've had. The latter items were fried perfectly, thick crispy layer on the outside with soft mochi dough on the inside. The fried pork dumpling filling was not as great as other places, but still good. The interior was nice, clean, and well decorated. read more

Enjoy going to the yummy house the food is always fresh and hot service is great! Very affordable.

Food was mediocre. I was not blown away but I did enjoy a few things. Chicken feet lacks the black bean and umami flavor. They are fall of the home tender. Honeycomb tripe lacks flavor as well. They were also tender. The sesame chicken was very syrupy and inedible to it being so sweet. The chicken was battered and fried to a nice crunch but the syrup sauce made it inedible. The bistro lo mein was delicious. It had tender beef slices, chicken and shrimp. The baby shrimp were overcooked. It had broccoli, onions and snap peas as well; we finished the lo mein dish. Steam pork ribs lacked a lot of flavor. They weren't as tender as I've had at other places. The stuffed eggplant is delicious. It was stuffed with shrimp and had a nice sauce with it. Sui Mai didn't have much shrimp flavor, very pork forward. Sesame balls needed to be fried longer for the crispy outer texture. It was a ball of mush. Pan fried chive dumplings definitely needed to be fried longer. It was very soggy and falling apart; it also didn't have good flavor. Salt & pepper calamari has way too much batter and bland. Calamari was rubbery inside. Wrong type of batter for this dish. Ambiance is casual but nice. There's many tables. The to-go counter is right when you enter. We were greeted immediately when we walked in. Service was good. We don't have a set server, it appeared that everyone worked together there. Some food came out very quick while others took a while. When eating dim sum I do prefer my food to come out at once. read more

This is solid Chinese restaurant. They make great food, they have great customer service. I got the beef udon with black pepper sauce this time. But I've only ever gotten takeout from here, as it's such a good, solid takeout spot. read more

Arrived around 4:45 on a Thursday afternoon and were promptly seated. Server was at our table within a minute to take drink orders which were brought within a couple minutes. Went with My daughter, son-in-law and their two young daughters. We ordered salt and pepper calamari, Hunan Beef, House Fried Rice, Beef Chow Fun, and Shrimp and Scallops in Black Bean Sauce. All of the food was very good however, nothing stood out as being great Gotta come back for this dish. Everyone enjoyed the Salt and Papper Calamari. The Beef Chos Fun had a nice char taste to it with a rich sauce. The Shrimp and Scallops in Black Bean sauce had a preponderance of shiitake mushrooms that were very tasty; we managed to eat all of the shrimp and scallops and took home a large portion of the mushrooms. Would not object to going back again as it is close to my daughter's house, but then again there are other superior Chinese restaurants in Orlando, e.g. Taste of Chendu. read more

Review is strictly based off of to go order. Only because the kitchen was closing at 8:25 pm and we weren't able to actually come in and dine in. The portion size was a bit smaller then the last time. Got the bbq pork fried rice and the shrimp lo-mien .. the fried rice was a bit dry and the lo-mien was very oily. Flavors were definitely off this time which was odd because yummy house usually hits! Unfortunate. read more

Found this place through tiktok! Amazing food with good price! Would recommend if you love Chinese food.

We've been waiting to go back since they've added the Dim Sum menu. The dim sum came out after the other plate we requested from the regular menu. No Sim sum carts here so you order off the menu and the dim sum comes a bit haphazardly. The advantage of ordering off the menu and not the carts is that each small plate comes out piping hot. Good service, good food and it's great to finally have dim sum available in our neighborhood read more

We chose Yummy House because we wanted somewhere we could sit down and enjoy some Chinese food. Yummy House was perfect and we all had such a great experience here! The staff was super friendly and we had wonderful service throughout our meal. The restaurant has a lot of seating available which is great for a Chinese restaurant. I got the Sesame Chicken and it was super fresh! It was hot and crispy with juicy chicken. The sauce is on the sweet side, but so good! It is made with honey and that flavor definitely comes through. We also got some Chicken Fried Rice and it was super tasty! Definitely recommend that dish as well! We really enjoyed our experience! It may get a bit loud in here if all the tables are filled, but when we were there it wasn't super full so it was pleasant and I did not feel like you had to yell to hear each other. read more
