If we want take out Chinese in Apopka/Wekiva area... this is the place. I don't even have to second-guess if we want to get Chinese takeout we already have this number in our phone ..... and they usually have your number stored in their phone and your previous orders or sometimes they ask you if you want any previous orders. It's a varied Chinese takeout menu go online or ask them what they have. The lunch combos are great. I usually get either an eggroll or you can ask for a wonton soup instead I love wonton soup so I usually always ask for the wonton soup . My two favorite dishes are the chicken with broccoli. That normally comes with a brown sauce, but I always ask for the White sauce because I prefer it with white sauce so you can always ask them to modify something and they will let you know if they can do it. The only dish I order is the Mei Fun ..... which is basically like the very thin noodles that are white and then you can get chicken or pork or shrimp or like the mix altogether. It always comes very hot. I love it. My wife usually gets bourbon chicken she likes to get the regular rice not with a lot of vegetables, like I said, they usually will modify what you want if you ask them. This place does mostly takeout or delivery. There are a few tables for dining in. I recently had takeout here. I ordered the beef with veggies and asked for a side of lo mein noodles rather than rice. This cost extra & I was fine with that. I also opted to make it a combo meal so it came with egg rolls & egg drop soup. I ordered the dumplings as well. The food tasted good but I wasn't blown away by it. Decided to get some to go Chinese food so I drove over to Li' s Garden to place our order. I ordered Shrimp and Lobster sauce with fried rice and egg drop soup for my mom. Another family member ordered the beef with snow peas and Lo mein noodles. I ordered the chicken with broccoli. For appetizers we got egg rolls , steamed dumplings and noodles with a fortune cookie for each of us. I waited a little over thirty minutes for my order. The restaurant was very busy. The ambiance is really take out only, however some people were eating at the six tables available if you want to eat inside. The food is good and delivered hot. This is our family's go to restaurant for Chinese dishes. The chicken and broccoli is a favorite with a brown sauce that reminds me of NY Chinese food from back home. Customer service is outstanding! The family is absolutely wonderful, their daughter also composed herself with such strength and positivity throughout the time we were there. But last.order, we got the seafood fried rice and it was awful. The rice was dry and hard and, in the large size, there were 2 shrimp and 2 scallops. That was it for seafood. There were a few pitiful pieces of onion and something yellow that could have been egg. Nothing else. It was so bad we tossed most of it. Such a disappointment, not sure we'll go back. The prices are very reasonable, especially the lunch specials @ $5.75 served with fried rice & egg drop or wonton soup. I ordered the General Tso's chicken & Moo Goo Gai pan lunch specials, the House Special Chowmein, and the General Tso's Shrimp from the chef specialties menu. I was looking for a crispy fried shrimp dish & the General Tso's shrimp was recommended. Although this was really tasty the shrimp were no where near crispy, and there was so much breading you could barely find the shrimp. It seemed like they used a battered shrimp that is used for shrimp & sour, so a bit disappointing. The General Tso's Chicken was delish as usual. The chicken was crispy & moist, although the sauce could have been a bit spicier, but that's my mistake for not specifying the heat level. My Moo Goo Gai Pan was great with tons of crisp vegetables & chicken. The pork fried rice was really good with chunks of BBQ pork mixed in. The House Special Chowmein was tasty but a little light on the meats & veggies, mostly noodles. Let me just start by saying this was an excellent meal! Li's Garden is only offering takeout right now, but it in no way effects the quality of the food. We order late, around 8:45, about an hour away from their closing time. They have us a 20 minute time for pickup which was very reasonable. When we arrived in the store they have large glass covering the place where you take and pick up your order (COVID precautions), but they had a microphone on both sides so your order was still heard and relayed correctly. We got the food and headed back to eat. Our meal consisted of two Lo Meins and some white rice, the portions were very big! Big enough to where neither of us fully finished out meal! But on top of the portion the food was delicious! Needless to say I will absolutely be returning soon. read more
