I have yet to find a Chinese food restaurant that tastes truly authentic. This was no exception. I ordered two luncheon special items; shrimp egg foo young with pork fried rice and egg drop soup and shrimp hunan with steam rice and hot and sour soup. The portions are much smaller (probably due to rising prices). The egg drop soup portion was much smaller then the hot and sour soup, and they didn't give no crispy noodles or soy sauce. No napkins or chopsticks. It was all edible and I enjoyed not cooking. read more

Between China Wok and Chung Xiang diagonal to the street, this is better. This one of the best Chinese take out places in a large area. You ask for extra spicy, it WILL be spice and oily with chilis. It is hard to find decent Chinese food in FL but of all the places we have tried this is by far is the worse I have ever had. Use to come here once a week, always ordered the same thing. One week the guy who took my order placed the wrong order. By the time I drove all the way home, I called in saying I got the wrong order, they said "come back we will fix it". Once back the worker stated that it was my fault my order was wrong and that I ordered it wrong, and wanted my food back to check it. [He didn't even start to cook the right order yet]. I showed him the food and he said "well.... we are in lunch rush right now, so you will be in the back of the line, it will be a fifteen minute wait still want it?." Terrible! I ordered vegetable fried rice with a spring roll and they were both horrible. The rice was very bland and tasteless and there was barely any vegetables. Best Chinese food in all the area. Location in Sanford is great too. Love the orange chicken, bourbon chicken, sweet sour pork, lo mein, krab rangoon. Everything here is great. The fried rice is good but could use some improvement to make it great. If they delivered in Apopka like the Sanford location does they would get a lot more business. When we first moved to the area a few years back we tried this place a few times and were not impressed. We started going across the street to their competitor (next to Publix). Well, after some tummy upset from the competitor and another search for decent fast Chinese (the great reviews on Yelp helped) we found ourselves back at China Wok. From the outside it is like every other strip mall Chinese place. I noticed that everything kind of looks the same in these places. Same menus, same food pictures above the counter, same food... I really wish someone would try to raise the bar a bit. Anyway, China wok is better than some but not a stand-out. I ordered the Krab Rangoon app which is exactly like every other Rangoon you'll get at these places. I had the Honey Shrimp which was better. The shrimp were pretty large and lightly fired. The sauce was more orange than honey though. Prices are fair; I can always get two meals out of one order. Service was quick and friendly. I'll be back to give them another try... read more

Beef with Broccoli was ok but Szechuan Beef look just like Beef with Broccoli and taste about the same except a bit of spicy taste, which I couldn't even tell! :-( I was craving something spicy and normally Szechuan dish is good so I was disappointed. Chicken Lo Mein was ok but the noodles were rather dry and vegetable stir fry was just ok. The portion of the food was pretty good for the price you pay. read more

Put it this way you're better off getting frozen Chinese food from a gas station. I don't understand how a Chinese restaurant could mess up vegetable fried rice. It tasted like absolutely nothing, I emptied 4 packets of duck sauce and it somehow made it worse. It was like twice steamed old rice with a yellow dye added and barely any veggies, and when you did get one it was a whole broccoli tree. I don't understand how anyone could say this place was good. As far as Chinese take-out goes, this is as good as it gets! They have the BEST sesame chicken. Also, this place isn't scary. You can see the chefs cook while you wait for your food, no hidden kitchen. They may be breaking some sort of child labor laws by letting their pre-teen daughter answer phones and run the register, but she does a pretty good job. My only complaint: Sometimes they wait to cook your food until you get there for phone in orders, I'm not going to take away a star because I love this place, but come on! read more
