Called to order Mongolian beef light onion, picked up my order and while paying I look in the bag and HALF of my container is full. When I asked why only half was full- he said you wanted no onion- no I wanted light onion. Also, why is only half the container full? I understand Mongolian beef has a decent amount of onion but you're telling me you're selling me a half a container full of onion? And only plain white rice? For $14. Yay NC. So I'm cheating and giving bonus points for really good service. NC didn't lose any points but this wasn't the best Chinese food we've ever eaten. Was it good? You betcha. Was it 5 star? Well, no. We only tried one sauce - garlic sauce. Our palates have become accustomed to Americanized Chinese food so I do attribute some of our reaction to that. We have a friend who is a stellar Chinese chef (he's both Chinese and a chef who cooks stellar Chinese food). We've been to China several times. There's absolutely a perceptible difference. One of those differences I learned on one of our trips was the quantity of sugar. NC chef seems to have put less sugar in the sauce than usual. I'm very happy about that(plus I give me bonus points for recognizing this-go me). We had broccoli with GS and mixed veggies with GS. Meals were hot-n-steamy (get your mind out of the gutter, no food porn here), the veggies seemed fresh, they were nice-n-crunchy (I love my veggies like this), and the sauce was hot and savory. I added some hot Oil to mine to light it up a little. I would call it very good. Generally speaking when I cal ahead to order food at fast food Chinese restaurants, I understand so little of the conversation that I don't know if I ordered mixed veggies steamed or deep-fried basketball. In this case, the English was so good I had no doubt (no basketball). Upon arrival, I was greeted with a big friendly smile and left with a thank you. In between was good as well. The prices were slightly below average in my Chinese food eating experience in central Florida. Very happy with the overall experience. read more

Family moved into a new place near here. Arrived 30 minutes before closing. Young lady taking our order was still very friendly and offered suggestions. We ended up with way to much food, just ordering 5 of the meals.we fed 5 adults 2 teenage boys and a child. The steamed pot stickers were the best I have had since leaving CA 23 years ago. My only major complaint is the amount of peas and carrots they put in the fried rice. This will be our go to place when in the area. read more

We decided to not cook and I was on a diet as we normally do pizza on Halloween but not this year! Ha! I ordered the shrimp and chicken szechuan. I love the little bit of heat that sauce has! Their portions are huge! It's definitely a meal you can share. I ordered it with no rice and extra veggies. Full disclosure, I hate chinese food. Ever since a nasty incident at the West Oaks Mall a few years back, I have been unable to stomach any form of it whatsoever. That being said, I like this place. Not because the food is tasty...because I'm not crazy enough to actually try it, but because they are honest about what is in their food. After ordering rice for my wife and specifically stating that it could not have pork in it, the gentleman behind the counter took the cue and informed me that the egg rolls did have pork in them, and offered a free drink in leu since they had been payed for already. RE New China Ocoee. West Road This place has definitely gone downhill. Was my favorite Chinese restaurant but ever since the lady left, service and food are terrible. I was warned not to go back but I did anyway. Dish I ordered had a choice of 3 different sauces. I ordered brown sauce but apparently he didn't hear me. Picked up order (20 minutes each way) and find out I have no sauce. I call and he insisted that I didn't order. Very strange to get a dish like this with NO sauce. Even if he didn't hear me, common sense says you verify that no sauce is wanted. I go back to get the brown sauce and the guy didn't even acknowledge me apologize or anything else. Went to the back and a couple of minutes later he brings the container. Again, he says nothing to me. I informed him that I used to love this place but I will never go back. read more
