I'm going to preface this by saying I'm from New York originally so I have largely been spoiled with excellent take out options most of my life. Stopped in for the first time while moving in to our new home which is only a few minutes away. We eat a lot of take out so to have a spot this close was very exciting. I always went to note everything as ready in about 10 min. That could be good or bad depending on your outlook. Unfortunately we weren't thrilled. Portions are small. And everything was quite generic. We'll definitely give it an other chance (probably a few as it's so close) but I doubt it will be our go to spot. read more

10/24/25 BEST CHINESE TAKE OUT !!! Fresh, tender chicken, Lightly breaded (not all crust & NO dry, stringy pieces of chkn) ) in a perfect amount of sauce. Freshly cooked, Fried rice (Not Dry) Even the broccoli garnish is freshly cooked!!! Good egg rolls! The Fried Rice is NOT salty, which is good because that allows you to season to your own taste & utilize the Soy sauce if you like it salty (Or the Duck sauce for sweet) !! Yeah nooo crab raccoons I enjoyed sweet-and-sour soup was good. Other than that. It was a bust... cost a $100. Which to be fare we had it delivered and tipped. I am real easy when it comes to my meals but this was a $30 meal at best and we will not be back even though it's close to home. read more

Pick up order was done faster than expected, not sure why I over look this place, it's kind of tucked away in its own little corner and I drive by it everyday. Placed order for beef and brocoli w/ fried rice, and an order if NY style chicken wings with lo mein, we were told it would be 15 min. Left the house and stopped at Publix for and bit. By the time we got there the food was ready. Love the inside very clean compared to most Chinese restaurants, it was quite busy. Loved they put out the sauces so I could grab as many hot sauces as I wanted as opposed to asking "can I have a couple more". Food was great! My chicken wings were crispy and juicy. The beef and brocoli had a lot of flavor not over sauced. Just because the speed of the food being done and the quality of food will order from here much more often! read more

I have been a fan of China Star for over five years now. I always order the shrimp and broccoli and it never disappoints. It is good delivery or take out food. They no longer deliver so pick up is the only option. This visit there were 4-5 other people also waiting to pick up and it was hot in there. I only waited about ten minutes and was on my way. Yummy. Love the lunch specials, hot and made to order. We had sweet and sour chicken and sweet and sour pork. I haven't had sweet and sour pork in a long time because I couldn't find a place that does it without all the fat (the bad hard kind) still on the pork. I figured I would give it a shot here, along with an egg roll and some of their homemade sweet tea. They served the sweet and sour sauce on the side, something I would normally complain about, but I actually enjoyed it... we could use as little or as much as we wanted. There was plenty of sauce, so I didn't feel like they skimped on it. The fried rice was tasty and hot, clearly it was all just made. There was a ton of food. We ordered to eat in (it was a little hot inside, they had the door open, so it could have been hotter, I suppose), the dishes were served in a take out container, which was handy, since we had a lot of food from our meals left over. The egg roll wasn't anything special (sorry), it wasn't bad, it was just meh. I enjoyed the sweet tea. It was served in a plastic container and at first I confused it as part of the meal. Then I realized what it was (silly me). It was refreshing and sweet (duh). I enjoyed it a lot with my meal. So, since this place is right around the corner from the new house, I look forward to trying a lot of their different dishes. Keep up the great work!!! read more

The worst food I had in the last decade. We ordered two vegetable rolls and two dishes, a beef and a chicken one. The rolls were soggy and heavy, the food didn't smell good and had almost no taste. It was so bad that my wife and I had two bites and threw everything in the garbage can. The worst spent $18 of my life. Together with the food I threw their menu away. High prices, unfriendly staff and small portions. Set-up like a quick chinese stop you'd see in any strip center, the prices are that of a sit down not take out restaurant. While I appreciate the quality is a bit higher (noodles are thicker) but the quality is not to the point of where their prices are. To top that off the portions are small. What's appealing about places like this is that of LARGE, overwhelming portions, NOT HERE. Also, RUDE. The staff was very ugly to me when I asked basic questions on where utensils are. Recent visit was for Egg Drop soup, 2 egg rolls and the chicken lo mien combo plate. The egg drop soup was excellent as well as the egg rolls. The chicken lo mien was good, however the lo mien noodles just didn't taste great. Because they give you rice and lo mien, I took the rice for lunch the next day and it was delicious. I'm a huge Chinese lover and decided to try this restaurant today since I was in the area. However.... this ain't it. I'm sorry to say, but this was probably the worst Chinese food I've ever had. It was tasteless, very watery, and did not even have an ounce of salt. Also, prices were unreasonably high. I feel bad having to be this negative, but I am really disappointed. The best Chinese food is right across the street at Bamboo Asian Cuisine. They serve tasty food and delicious items. Never going to China Star again. Wish I could give zero stars. read more

Went here for the first time a few months ago. The food was banging hot and delicious!! Re visited for the second and third time and the food was trash! The owners are nice but i saw the throw old food that had been in a to go plate in there fridge into the fryer. When i went to ask the lady(whos nasty) if that was mines she quickly retaliated and snapped saying" its good ok!!!!" I like this place. They don't use MSG and it's always quick and smooth for take out. The food also taste good but as any take out place they have their quirks. For example, sometimes you get the wonton soup with the "stale" fried noodles or the fried rice doesn't taste as fresh. Overall, I will be coming back here. I've been going here for years now. Always order my food from here, they don't accept credit cards and the guy who relievers food always ask for a tip or if you don't give him one hell be looking crazy!!
