Shrimp in garlic sauce

Food was good with the exception of the shrimp within my main dish smelling/tasting old or bad (the rank smell when it needs to be thrown out). I did not send it back I just enjoyed my rice and the husbands orange chicken. I would return but not order anything with shrimp. Service was good but the place did smoke up pretty good causing you to take the fried grease smell with you in your hair and clothes - to go order next time vs eating there.

Venezuelan Chinese fried rice is trending on Instagram. I admit, as an Asian, this was the best fried rice!

I'm a born and bread patron of Hong Kong for decades and when it changed to Nan King I was worried, not going to lie. Thankfully, it's just like Hong Kong, but darker. The chicken wings are still IT. IYKYK.

The decor inside was nice and the tables are large enough to hold all the different plates. The servers were very friendly and quick to offer help when needed. The price is a bit high, but for what you get it is still a good deal. I'll definitely be coming back here again to try more.

Wow. Wow. Wow... Where do I start?…read more Firstly, I am on a hunt for an awesome AYCE sushi and when I heard there was a Hotpot/Korean BBQ/Sushi restaurant opening nearby. I'm like, I'm in! Let me at it! Hindsight, not a good sign typically to lump so many cuisines into one but I didn't care! I was on a mission to find great sushi for the right price. Sadly, this ain't it. Secondly, super disappointed with the selection. There is barely any! And the chef was not in a hurry either. Maybe it was the time of day and the day of the week but come on man. You are a restaurant, should you not always try to look your best no matter how busy or slow the place is. The cleaning lady was busy though. Just wiping anything she can find haha but no seriously the selection is pretty s*thouse not gonna lie but again it could be because of the time and day. But, I'm sorry, I won't be coming back. Not worth the price. Thirdly, the place looks nice though. tidy and clean when it is not so busy. Not sure what it would be like when busy. Nice ambient lighting and sound. The music was actually not too loud. The costumer service is pretty nice. Prompt and present. Conclusion, I will not be going back. No good sushi selection. Yes, hindsight, should just go to a sushi joint and not a BBQ joint haha

If you're looking for an incredible Korean restaurant, stop what you're doing and go to Surah…read moreKorean Restaurant in Dr. Phillips. My family of five had an absolutely phenomenal experience. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed and cared for by the husband-and-wife owners, whose genuine hospitality made us feel like honored guests rather than just another table. The level of attention and service was exceptional from start to finish. The food was unforgettable. Every dish came out fresh, flavorful, and in generous portions. Our kids devoured everything--from the kimchi to the bulgogi--and that's saying something! There wasn't a single dish left untouched. Now let's talk about the Korean fried wings with the honey garlic sauce. They are, without question, some of the best wings I've ever had. Crispy on the outside, incredibly juicy on the inside, and coated in a honey garlic glaze that somehow balances sweet, savory, and rich all at once. Every bite felt like it transported you somewhere magical where your taste buds couldn't stop celebrating. Whether you're planning a family dinner, craving authentic Korean food, or just looking for an amazing meal, Surah delivers. Looking for a full dining experience? Go. Looking for a quick bite? Go. If they're open, just go. You won't be disappointed.

The banchan.... Can I have the recipe for the peanuts please?! We had the mandu as a starter. It was so crispy and the inside was not dry at all. For dinner, I had the spicy stirfry pork. The portion was gigantic so I was able to enjoy it for dinner at home and it reheated really well. A few bottles of soju and cass rounded out the meal. I can't wait to come back and try the barbecue.

We choose to sit at the bar as it's open seating. my husband wanted the five spice chicken wings, and we were disappointed to learn that they've been taken off the menu. This is such a huge disappointment because that five spice dry rub was amazing. We ended up talking to the bartender and she said that they could do the lil sum sum (kids menu) wings naked and put the spice on the side. My husband chose to go that route (two order as there are only 3 wings an order) but thankfully, they actually tossed the wings in the spice, which was perfect. But we really do wish that they would bring back the actual full order of the five spice chicken wings as that was his go to when we went there and because that's not on the menu it may decrease the amount of time we go back now because he doesn't really care for a lot of the other menu items. I got the five spice green beans, which is one of my favorite items on the menu. I was surprised to hear that they had taken it off the menu for a while and that they had just brought it back. so glad that they did because that was the whole reason we had traveled out there and had they not been on the menu. There's a good chance we probably would've found somewhere else. I also had the Po Po Lau curry because it is another one of my favorite dishes.

The drink was good with some spices, but instead of a craft ice, they just used regular crushed ice, making the drink a bit watered down. For my food, they sadly no longer had the duck noodles, so I tried the CKT noodles (15 dollars) instead. They mentioned it would have a smokey flavor from the wok preparation, which I enjoyed. However, the noodles were quite chewy. The meats included shrimp, pork sausage, and chicken. The chicken and shrimp were enjoyable, but the sausage could have used a bit of a punch. I was able to get some sambal for heat, but it lacked flavor and it was a bit gritty too. At least there was an ample amount such that I could take some home for the next day. My server was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was the same. I did enjoy the audible music and crowd, making the vibe nice. I would definitely come back if the bring the duck noodles again, and maybe try another drink next time too. Overall: B-
