The inside is really nice and clean. A good spot for a date. The greeter also served us and we were allowed to choose where to sit. He was very nice and helped us decide what to eat. The food came out super fast.

This is my first and last time to come here We ordered crab Rangoon appetizer and 4 sushi rolls and waited 45 min before the appetizer came out With absolutely no one in the restaurant I would say the sushi was ok but good presentation The crab Rangoon was hard the crabmeat tasted bad Looks like this place has a lot of good reviews but that wasn't our experience here Very disappointed

    G4. Spicy Crunch Roll

The food was ok. We had order for pick up staff was quick to attend to us. From what I saw, the inside looked clean and well maintained. We order chicken fried rice which I doubt I'll order again the chicken tasted funny, not in it's gone bad type of way but just as in the chicken bits got weird texture to them but the rice alone is well, rice. Second I had gotten 2 G4 Spicy Crunch roll. I was confused as to whether there were actually two in there but for ~8$ you get 2 imo very small rolls of sushi (cut into 8 small rolls) that is not like crunch rolls that I've known( the once where they are fried on the outside) but it's fake crab meat with panko or something similar on the inside. I was very confuse cause I had expected it to be a tat bit more for that price but no.

    Chicken Corn Soup

I had a huge craving for soup and I saw this restaurant on UberEats and they had one of my favorites, chicken corn soup. They only offered it in the large size, but that was fine because I always want soup and this just means another helping for another day. I also decided to try their krab Rangoon which is one of my favs. This was AMAZING. Honestly, between the wontons and the dip, it tasted more like dessert. The soup could have used a little bit more flavor, maybe a little more salt, but was still good. My partner got the pan fried chicken dumplings which was a generous portion of 10 dumplings. He said it was very good. Will definitely order from here again!

Teriyaki Chicken with Pork Fried Rice and 2 eggrolls since I didn't want Soup
    Barbie C.

I came here for lunch today and I wasn't a fan. I tried their lunch special which starts as low as $7.00 and includes a soup, eggroll and pork fried rice. I thought having all those included would be nice but it fell short in my eyes. Food: I got the Teriyaki Chicken (with the things listed above) and swapped the soup for another eggroll since I'm not really a soup person. The chicken pieces were big flat pieces that weren't very flavorful even with the sauce and my rice was hard and didn't seem fresh. I understand that during lunch they probably pre-make the rice, but this tasted like it was a day old, not moist and even the pork fried pieces were hard. I wasn't a fan of my meal AT ALL! Positives: The staff was very friendly and attentive and the complimentary wonton strips they provided on the table were fresh. I especially enjoyed the duck sauce that came with the wontons as well. Overall, I wouldn't do a lunch special again. If I went back I would probably get Lo Mein Noodles since my friend's noodles looked good. Or their potstickers.

To my horror it was the worst hibachi I've ever had; there are several takeout/express type places I would rank above this in terms of quality. The steak had no sear at all on it, everything on the plate including the veggies was bland and lacking flavor, but the biggest disappointment? The rice. It had some sort of weird flavor to it and was extremely dry. While I would go back for the sushi, I cannot recommend this place for anyone that isn't a sushi fan.

Years ago, I got a gift card from them, which I use only once since. Today I was told I had a zero balance on it and that the gift card never had any money on it based on their records. That's obviously impossible because why would I have a gift card that never had anything on it? I would say get gift cards with caution. Otherwise check them out for sure. We were greeted by a waiter holding the door open for us. When we entered, I was taken aback by the upscale decor. The staff immediately seated us, and Anna came up to bring water and give us recommendations on the menu. Another staff member (I failed to catch his name unfortunately) also gave us great suggestions and information on the restaurant. They were both very knowledgeable of the menu and even where the ingredients were sourced. They were both outstanding. We got the truffle edamame (outstanding), the Mucca di Mare appetizer (unexpectedly perfect, no sauce, wasabi, or ginger needed), the Ceviche roll (so fresh and bright) and the Ultimate Salmon roll (salmon, prosciutto, brie cheese, and more?! Count me in!) The fish was so fresh, it had no fish flavor or scent at all. It was perfect. The rolls were innovative and balanced in flavor. I have no feedback other than these were possibly the best rolls I've had in the Orlando area. We also had the Alaska Cake for dessert. It was very light and refreshing. It wasn't overwhelming or huge. It was the perfect end to a meal. And for my birthday, they even put a candle in it for me! Their birthday surprise was also unexpected and a delight. The restaurant itself isnt anything to write home about, there is seating and thats about it, but it gets the job done. I ordered the chicken teriyaki, white rice, noodle and cabbage. The chicken itself was nicely done, however the rice was a bit stiff and the noodles werent asian noodle, it was fettuccine noodles, which kind of threw me bc places normally use udon/lomein noodles. That being said the taste was good. No complaint on that. They gave a decent portion of each item, definitely not cheap about it. I didnt try any of the additional sauces, but even without it the food was good, though I see many reviews mentioning them. It was not busy when i went, maybe 4 customers but it was also mid day on a friday so im not sure of how busy they get. If you're not wanting to go to West Oaks to hit the Sakura, this is a solid choice for hibachi. Ill be back for the chicken and the rice, Im not sold on the noodles choice, so ill probably opt out on those, but overall affordable and tasty.

It's definitely one of the more affordable omakase options I've found and I'd come back and do it all over again. Here are some of my favorites in case you just want to try a few à la carte pieces. 1. Kinmedai with tomato powder and yuzu kosho - this was rich, buttery, and full of umami contrasted with tomato powder and yuzu for a nice bright lift. 2. Tachiou with green chili crisp was slightly torched so it had that nice smokiness and a little rendered skin fat while the rest was super tender. I think this is the first time I've had this dish and will be looking out for it now. 3. King Salmon with truffle cream and miso sauce was so ridiculously delicious, rich, buttery, melt in your mouth goodness. 4. Hotate with spicy tobanjan aioli was smoky, sweet, spicy, and oh so creamy. 5. Uni from Japan was perfectly briny, sweet, and creamy. If you're an uni lover this is for you. If you tried it before and didn't like it, try it again here. Honorable mention for the spicy tuna maki. It's probably the best I've had. Seasoned with togarashi, I assume a little kewpie mayo, maybe green onion, and some pickled daikon. Perfect heat, fresh, and a nice crunch and lift from the pickled daikon. The booth we sat in had a beautiful and asymmetrical heavy wooden table top polished to a brilliant shine, and there were a surprising number of diners there at noonish, on a Tuesday... what's that tell you? Now: the food! *First, for the technically challenged, be warned that the menu is available via phone and QR Code. If you want a printed menu, too bad. Otherwise... We began our meal with Agedashi Tofu, which is fried cubes of tofu that have a magnificently thin layer of a crisp skin encasing melted tofu, and there's a perfect sauce to dip them in. I have been thinking about these for an hour now and can't even imagine how they are made. A delicious magic trick! Next, we had an Eel and Shrimp Tempura Roll, a Shrimp Tempura Bento Box, and two Nigiri and Sashimi lunch specials. The Tempura was light and crisp. The bento box included a spring roll, fried rice, and gyoza, all perfectly flavored. The Nigiri and Sashimi fish was served cold and absolutely fresh, and was sliced generously. The Nigiri and Sushi lunches included a California roll, 4 pieces of sushi, and six pieces of sashimi, and really was a lot of excellent food for a bargain $24. I almost forgot that we started, along with the Agedashi Tofu, with a very subtly flavored miso soup with tofu and seaweed. This was also perfection, with just a breath of ginger and perfect salt. I hope I've convinced you fans of Japanese food to try this restaurant. If you're new to Japanese food's many varieties and intricacies, or hesitant to eat raw foods, there are always cooked meat and fish dishes like Tempura or Teriyaki you can order, and then you can explore by tasting the more exotic things your friends and family order. Maybe you'll develop a taste for it! If you already have a taste for Japanese food, don't pass up an opportunity to eat a wonderful meal at Mikado, in MetroWest.
