This is the only Chinese take out our family considers. We usually get the Szechuan Shrimp or chicken. It is loaded with veggies and delicious! Our daughter ordered the bourbon chicken and it was very tasty just not as many veggies.

Chicken & Broccoli w/ Pork Fried Rice

Leaving this review in hopes that the restaurant looks at these reviews with the intention to improve. In short, this was the worst Chinese food I have ever had. I ordered Chicken & Broccoli with pork fried rice. The quality of the chicken and rice tasted very bad. The rice barely resembled pork fried rice. Instead it look like Yellow Rice that someone would make in their home with poor seasoning. Again I hope that the restaurant reads this and understands that people like myself are not trying to bash the place. Instead I am trying to be honest so that you can improve the food so that we can come back. (I live right next door so I wish I had a good Chinese Place this close. Hopefully the next time I want to roll the dice and give you guys another shot the food will be better)

The world's smallest chicken wings. 5 for $5.95. With a funny taste.

Not good Chinese food!! . We tried this place only because it had significantly higher reviews than…read morethe Chinese place closer to us (which is China 2 next to Publix). (Overall general theme/tip here: you might as well order off the vegetable section, because with any of the entrées that come with vegetables, you're not going to get much meat, it is mostly vegetables). --Worst Thing We Had: We got a large order of Kung Pao Shrimp and I could not believe the entire container only had *five* pieces of shrimp (which were on the smaller side too) in it!!!! The container was packed to the brim with a lot of different kinds of small-piece chopped-up veggies, and a lot of peanuts, and a good amount of sauce-- But you had to dig through everything really good to try to spot a shrimp, and Inwuickly realized that at the VERY BOTTOM down deep underneath everything there was a layer of literally only five pieces of shrimp!!! (so that large container was 90% chopped up veggies, peanuts, and sauce!). We were sharing this as part of a family style meal for several people, so obviously this was problematic.... (even if *one* person ate it they would be very disappointed by this). I mean, our fam loves veggies, sure, but when you order shrimp, you expect to get some shrimp. Especially since you're paying a premium price for it - you're not ordering from the "veggie" section. So, this was the extremely disappointing. -Second Worst Thing: Mongolian Beef. I have had Mongolian Beef before where it is thinly sliced but *large* slices of beef mixed with onions in a brown sauce. THIS Mongolian beef - the beef was barely hardly there at all. They might as well have called it "Mongolian Onions." It was mostly onions and the sauce was not really a brown sauce - it was mostly liquid & watery, with a little bit of brown color in that. Yes the beef was *technically* there - in the form of very small crinkled up ground beef-ey shaped & sized little pieces. I'd say in this large size it was 75-percent onions. So it was like we were just spooning cooked onions and bland water onto our plates. -Third Worst Thing: Hot & Sour Soup. I LOVE Hot & Sour Soup, and I "get" that (based on trying it at a lot of various places) it seems like it's something that's kinda hard to do right (you need to use wood ear mushrooms, tofu -- Basically, the right type of ingredients as well as the right ratio of sour to sweet to savory). In other words, I do have some grace here; I realize I was just *trying* theirs out. But THIS one was just horrible!! It didn't have any of the components I mentioned, was totally bland tasting, I don't think there were any mushrooms in it, and the worst thing about it was that.. well, let me just put it this way: If you had egg rolls, scooped just the fillings out of them and into a container, and then filled it up with some soy-sauce broth, that's exactly what this was like. On top of that, they messed up our order and charged us non-refundably for a large container instead of $3 for the pint container we had ordered to be able to try it. -Fourth Worst Thing: House Lo Mein: "House" means that it should come with each kind of meat -- pork, shrimp, and chicken. But again, another dish with hardly any meat in it, and *NO SHRIMP AT ALL in it!!!* (I *will* say as for the noodles themselves tasted fine/normal). The noodles were a LOT more oily though than other places which maybe is personal preference but (based on taste/texture/health reasons (I mean who needs to eat a ton of oil) we didn't like this about it either. --If I Had to Choose a "Best" Thing: the Orange Chicken. I know that sounds utterly common, but it seriously wasn't bad... I like that it had discernible little pieces of orange peels in it, which gave it even more of an orange flavor (compared to how some orange chicken is just real sweet without much orange flavor). My only criticism of this dish would be that it seemed like they used really old oil - like if you're at the end of your frying and instead of cleaning your pan and adding more oil you just fry the rest in that bit you know it's not gonna come out good, lol - Well, it was pretty much that in terms of excess oiliness, lack of any crispness, and more of a "darkened flour" flavor. (But again it was in more of an exceptional sauce). So overall I think this would equal to being average/maybe slightly below. I mean I don't know, maybe there's a few hidden gems on the menu that if we ordered those they might do better than some other place(?)?).. but based on ordering 5 significant no one out of 7 diners being happy with this meal, we will not be returning. We'll for sure just keep trying around until we find a good Chinese takeout!!!

We enjoy trying new eateries and we chose the Royal Asian Bistro. What a treat!! The 5 star rating, in my opinion, was absolute! When we arrived, we were greated with a genuine, friendly smile and a "welcome". My hubby is a diabetic and I asked the young lady behind the counter if all their dishes were prepared with sugar (a BIG "no no" for a diabetic) or was it possible to order a dish made WITHOUT sugar. The receptionist went back to the kitchen to inquire an obtain an accurate answer (we really liked that .. no guesswork). We were told that many of the sauces for some dishes are already prepared containing sugar, but, some of those dishes contain a very small amount of sugar. Also, they had some dishes containing no sugar at all. This was pleasing to our ears and we decided to give it a try. The restaurant was was not large, and was neat and clean. It was fairly full already but we were seated immediately and given menus by a very friendly server who asked us what beverages we would like while deciding on our meal. We both are seafood lovers so we chose an appetizer of crab rangoons (6). I opted for an Asian Shrimp lunch special which came with a cup of very good, egg drop soup that had a suprisingly delicate, but very pleasant, enjoyable taste. Not the strong chicken noodly flavor that some places serve. I ate EVERY DROP. The JUMBO shrimp was in a lightly spiced garlic brown sauce with mixed veggies (green peppers, onions, mushrooms, broccoli, zucchini, carrots and a touch of celery). The sauce was "labeled .. hot garlic sauce" but my inquiry as to "how hot" was answered as "very little". Our server was right .. it had a delightful slight amount of heat that evolved only as you were swallowing. The dish consisted 10 or 11 JUMBO shrimp. I'm not kidding .. JUMBO! It was quite good ... and the portion was large (literally half of the plate). It came with tasty fried rice with a small amount of veggies in it that filled the other half of the plate! What an excellent lunch special and all of it .. cup of egg drop soup, jumbo shrimp with mixed veggies and fried rice .. all for only $10.99! I couldn't eat it all and took 1/2 of the shrimp dish home as well as the 6 crab rangoons ($6.99). We had ordered them to go. My hubby opted for a shrimp dish as well ... Thai Cashew Nut Shrimp .. lightly breaded jumbo shrimp, onion, green peppers, and carrots served in a very tasty brown sweet chili sauce .. Again JUMBO shrimp .. a large portion of about 10 shrimp at a cost of $15.99. Hubby changed the white rice to fried rice with only a $2.00 upcharge. Hubby ate the whole thing! He was a very happy camper. We each had a soda for our beverage. As a side note, when hubby tested his blood sugar in the evening .. it was at a normal level .. yeaaa! So, the small amount of sugar in his shrimp dish did NOT cause his blood sugar to spike .. GREAT NEWS for any diabetic .. no insulin shot was needed! Our lunch was really enjoyable .. in a quiet, friendly, clean, smallish sized restaurant, with attentive, happy servers, GREAT tasting food, and VERY REASONABLE prices. Our entire lunch .. a crab rangoon appetizer (6) that we ordered to go, my cup of egg drop soup (part of the lunch special) , 2 large portioned shrimp & veggie meals, and 2 sodas came to only $43.60. What a treat .. great food in a nice clean little restaurant, with very friendly people at great prices .. what more could a person want? If you enjoy Thai, Japanese & Chinese food at reasonable prices, I believe you'll enjoy the Royal Asian Bistro located in Orange City, FL in the shopping center right after The Olive Garden on Enterprise Blvd. We will definitely be going there again, and again! Happy day!!!

Brandon's wife's family is from Laos. The restaurant has been open about 6 years. Why did it take me so long to come here?? It was my dad's birthday. So we went to lunch and shared the papaya salad with Thai style dressing, the summer rolls with extra peanut sauce, and he had the pad Thai w shrimp and I had the pad see ew with chicken. Dad had a Diet Coke (can) and I had a Thai coffee with extra ice. Everything we ordered came packaged in to go boxes- so if you don't finish- it's ok! It's ready to take home. But since we were eating there, they gave us two plates and our choice of chopsticks/fork/spoon etc. The food is made to order but still came out fast. Two to go orders were processed while we perused the menu and another to go came in while we were eating. A table for three came in during that time as well. So this place is probably more take out than dine in. The iced coffee was as predicted - sweet. But not overly sweet. The extra ice toned it down a bit. The summer rolls were huge. He was right to suggest an extra sauce for $0.50 because my dad pretty much used the entire sauce ramekin for himself. The papaya salad was great. Lightly dressed. Lots of shredded papaya with a chunk of cabbage in it, some stewed? Tomatoes. They have the option for Laotian dressing but I am not familiar with that fermented fish sauce? So I went with the Thai style which is regular fish sauce. I probably should have been more adventurous. We got the salad mild so no spice. For my dish I went with level one spice which is mild medium. You could definitely feel the heat after you swallowed the bite. I can't imagine what level 6 spice is like! Pad see ew was delicious. Those chunky soaked noodles in brown sauce with lots of big veggies. I got the chicken. Next time I'll do double meat. I like more meat. Dad had the pad thai w shrimp medium spice. It was definitely more spicy than mine but tolerable. Again- I would get double shrimp, but that's my opinion. We did not get dessert. We thought about ordering the beef waterfall- that will be my next dish. And they had some new specials! So I will definitely be back. I love the Christian atmosphere- not overwhelming and honestly you could go in for take out and not notice it. They do a great job with the food and customer service. In fact, they gave us a discount because my dad is a veteran and he was wearing his hat which reflected his service, and the owner noticed it. He thanked my dad for his service :) the discount was not expected and was a surprise! Wow! I would recommend this place. Family owned and operated. Food is great portion and delicious, made to order. I will be back.

They package everything to-go whether you're dining in or not, which honestly makes it really easy to take your leftovers. I order the same thing almost every time because it's that good: the drunken noodles and the fried spring rolls. The food here is always incredibly fresh, and you can tell everything is being made to order. You will wait a bit if you order at the counter (because they are making everything fresh like I mentioned). If you're in a hurry, order online for pickup. If you like drunken noodles, you absolutely need to order them here. And if you've never tried drunken noodles before, this is a great place to start. You can choose your spice level with every dish, from no spice all the way up to super spicy, and their spicy is actually really spicy. I've also tried the massaman (yellow curry), which is really tasty, even at the lowest spice level it has a little kick to it. The wonton soup is good, the pad thai is good, and honestly I firmly believe that anything on the menu is probably going to be good. The portions here are HUGE - they are really generous with the amount of food you get. Service has always been super friendly as well. You order at the counter and grab your food when it's ready. Prices are really good for how much food you get, and the quality is consistently great. This spot is a constant go-to for me
