The food here is terrible now, don't waste your money. I ordered lunch for several of my coworkers last Friday afternoon at 11am right when they opened. The food was ready for pickup fast, and the staff were super friendly; however, when got back to the shop to eat our meals it was just a mess. The fried wontons for the soup were all stale, more like super stale and inedible. The wonton soup tasted good but the wonton noodles were gummy, very gross! Everyone complained about the fried rice. Not fresh, not fried properly and had large pieces of partially cooked onions in it. The General Tso's and Seseme chicken was drenched in sauce with no crispyness whatsoever. The beef in the beef and broccoli dish was chewy, but the broccoli was cooked perfectly, so that was probably cooked fresh. The egg rolls were mushy had no crispyness to them whatsoever and tasted like nothing. This was the first time in my life I could not eat an eggroll, went right in the trash with the rice. I thought well this meal was horrible but at least the fortune cookie will be good right, nope it was just as stale as the fried wontons. What has happened to this place??!! $77.31 for this meal and it all tasted like crap, most likely, leftovers they were trying to get rid of. The only fresh item was the broccoli. It's pretty hard to find a reliable, consistent, Chinese spot but this place checks all the boxes for a good Chinese spot. I work in lake Mary and I'm constantly trying to find good lunch spots. Look no further, this is the one. I've tried two other Chinese take outs and china king is miles better. The food is so good. Ive had chicken wings and fried rice, spare ribs, pork egg rolls. It was good every time so it's consistent. The service is great. If they say 15 minutes, itll be 15 minutes. The location isn't anything fancy but it doesn't matter because the food is worth it. More recently they seem to be using Uber delivery. I never got my order. I called a few times and they kept telling me it's coming. Seemed like they just wanted to get me off phone. They told me they didn't have my order and it was coming. After 90 minutes nothing and they still kept telling me to wait. I get a text that saying "order canceled" no driver located. We came here for lunch so we got the lunch combination for $7.60. Egg roll $1.50 I love their egg drop soup $2.25 it is full of egg and the broth is not too salty. We ordered takeout from here from one of the delivery apps. What a great experience! I've been very disenfranchised lately with the Chinese places in our area. I felt like we had tried so many with no winners. Well, I'm happy to report that we finally have one! Our ordered arrived THIRTY minutes prior to estimated time (on a Friday night!), customer service was excellent (the app didn't give a choice of rice type and the restaurant called to ask instead of just assuming), and the food arrived hot and fresh. Hubs and I both agreed this food was delicious and SO much better than other places we've tried. My beef lo mein had quality beef, cooked correctly. I loved my egg roll and am excited to try the wonton soup for lunch tomorrow. They just can't get the orders correct. Have used them several times, and the the order has always been wrong or short an item or two. Food is good, as long as you can eat what send, when the order is not correct. Several times we called and the said they would make it up on the next order, never happened. I would suggest you go pick it up, then you can check to be sure it's right, as when they deliver they drop it at the door and ring the bell and they are usually gone before you can get to the door. read more

The only reason I tried this place was because my go to Chinese takeout place (China Wok) was closed and I had a craving for sweet-and-sour chicken and sesame chicken. These two dishes are staples and should be pretty tough to screw up, but somehow this restaurant did it. The sweet-and-sour chicken was so disgusting that I couldn't eat it at all, it tasted like pure oil, it crumbled the minute you put in on your fork, it it was both dried out and wet at the same time...not even sure how that's possible, but was a huge huge disappointment. The sesame chicken was just OK nothing special- a lot of the pieces were kind of almost glued together and again it was just a terrible experience overall. Recently moved and had to find a go to Chinese place immediately! My husband had ate here before and said the general tso's was good so I decided to give them a try. I ordered take out over the phone and the lady who took my order was very nice she also asked what sauces I would like. A fifteen minute pick up time was given. When the food arrived I couldn't believe the portion size. The amount of rice was a little overwhelming, but it didn't take away from the portion size of the chicken. The pork fried rice wasn't the best. Very bland and I threw most of it out. The general tso's was good. I've had better, but I've also had WAY worse. If I eat here again I'd just place an order for the tso's. The egg roll was pretty standard, but I could tell it wasn't fresh. I can't comment on the soup because I didn't eat it. We came to China King since our regular Chinese restaurant has been dropping the ball lately so we're on the hunt for a new spot. The first difference we noticed was the price, which was a little higher then normal but we took in to account that it's in Lake Mary so it comes with the territory. The second difference was the food portions, very hearty portions were given with the orange chicken, general tso chicken, chicken Lo mein, fried chicken wings and crab Ragoon. The ragoon was a little disappointing, the egg foo young was a little on the bland and the egg rolls with the combo were "meh" at best side but everything else was really tasty. Food came fast and arrived before the estimated time. Opening the bag I was delighted to see a couple bags of crispy noodles. While I know these aren't traditional but I love them and was excited. My husband ordered the chicken lo mien and I ordered the garlic chicken. Our meals both included an egg roll, Wonton soup, and pork fried rice. I asked to sub my pork fried rice for veggie and they did at no charge. However the garlic chicken was not what was given to me. I was given another dish with shrimp in it. At first I was of course annoyed and was going to call to complain. But when I looked at the food it really looked tasty and I thought maybe this was a way for me try something else. Still not sure what it was, but I enjoyed it. Sweet and sour spicy sauce with with good size shrimp and fresh veggies. I liked it a lot and ended up being happy I got it. Wonton soup was some of the best I had. From my experience with wonton soup it's always been a flimsy wonton with hardly any meat in it. I was so disappointed when I pulled up today and found the store vacated and this place next door under "Grand Opening." I decided to give it a try and I am no longer disappointed! I used to enjoy ordering here, even going out of my way to visit this location. Like another reviewer, I have experienced wrong orders or missing items. Sign #1 of a possible issue was when the lady in front of me walked out with her order and the employee says "Oh, that lady left without her soda." She made no attempt to run after her or anything. Maybe she thought by thinking it out loud like Ed Sheeran, AFTER she left would have made her return. Today, I ordered sweet & sour pork and sweet and sour chicken and received no sweet & sour sauce. I drove back home and noticed it was missing. I returned to the restaurant explaining I wasn't looking for "extra" sauce, I never received any with my order. The girl goes behind the curtain, telling them it was not included and came back with a single serving sauce. She was told it was for both dinner portions and that's all I would be getting. This isn't liquid gold or Creme Brulee but it does make the meal. Imagine ordering a BLT and they give you NO "B"acon. I was so agitated, I opted to pay for extra ($2.19) since I already made the drive back and really not in the best of moods to perform the Heimlich maneuver should my family choke on dry chicken and pork. Ironically, the lady from earlier returned and said you forgot my soda lol. Some days I wish I were making things up but sadly.. here we are. Moral of the story? My partner, and I have ordered from China King many times within the past 7 months, and all I can say is that I'm thoroughly impressed with the quality of China Kings food, and their delivery service. We have tried different dishes on their menu, and we have never been disappointed with what we get.
