What an unexpected treat! After deciding to give this take-out joint a chance on a lazy Friday night (didn't feel like cooking), we were complete surprised at how much we enjoyed it! My fiancé likes garlic chicken, so we shared an order of the combination (fried rice w egg roll, soda, or soup). We went with a side of the hot and sour soup. The garlic chicken and vegetables were really good! The fried rice was also surprisingly good. The soup wasn't the best, but it wasn't bad. We recently returned and tried the egg roll as a side (yes, we had to get the chicken in garlic sauce again!) and it was really good too. Considering we ate the egg roll the next day and used our air fryer to re-heat...and yet it was still crispy and the veggies inside were not limp and tasted pretty fresh! Great but not the best Chinese I have had in the area. We picked up dinner here on the way home from shopping in Deland. We ordered two quarts of wonton soup ($2.50 each), a quart of egg drop soup ($2.50), Chicken with Cashew nuts ($10.50), Chicken and broccoli ($10.50), and Chicken with mixed vegetables ($10.50). Our order took about 15-minutes and the most of the food was hot, fresh, and tasty; unfortunately, the fried rice was a bit salty. To make matters worse we forgot to order the eggrolls we wanted, not fault of the restaurant; regardless, there was plenty of food to go around for the three of us. One thing that I really appreciate about this restaurant is that they will cook your food without adding MSG. I have no tolerance for the poison and it's good to see they won't use it if you request it, so be sure to let the chef know you are allergic so you're not ingesting it too. All-in-all, I would definitely recommend this store if you are in the area and looking for some decent Chinese food. read more

Some pretty below-average chinese food. Ordered my dish extra spicy and it was not at all. Girlfriend ordered orange chicken and was spitting out gristly meat and weird strands of fried oil and whateverthehell else that was stuck to it. She threw out most of it. Eggrolls had the flavor of some particularly flavorless sawdust. Really remarkable. But the coup de grace here was the fortune cookie. My fortune was literally "You will learn a new skill in March." Not my first time here, but each time the food has been very good. Today I had the egg foo young, lunch special, with a side of wings. The wings were ordered based on a review and they did not disappoint. They were lightly seasoned and perfectly crunchy. The egg foo young was also very good, something that is not easy to get anywhere. The prices are reasonable and service always pleasant. As others commented, it's not really a restaurant in the traditional sense, but if you want to eat in there is seating. The ambiance is dated and unremarkable. I would sit and eat especially since the food is good but it's not a afternoon or evening out type. It's a great take out spot. I recommend it and I will be back. read more

Awesome food, service and prices. My family's been eating here for years, we always get take-out and the food is super yummy everytime. We order on phone and our order is always ready in 20 minutes. Very Good to Excellent Food. But sometimes they pack the wrong things in your take out. Check your items before leaving. They have messed up my order a few times. One of the better quality Chinese take out places in Volusia County (and Seminole County too). A favorite of mine there is their Steamed or Fried Dumplings. They are so yum good! Simple order messed up. I called in an order for chicken LoMien and vegetable egg rolls. I clarified with the clerk do you all have vegetable egg rolls or spring rolls she said vegetable egg rolls. I loved this place I even like a crazy person went back up there after I got sick eating it one time because the lady at the front was so sweet. however today was the last straw I convinced my conworkers to eat there and one of them had a seafood allergy and they gave me shrimp in her rice. I called and asked could I bring it back and they remake it please. the manager gave me such a hard time kept saying he would call back when he finally did he kept stating it was all my fault I shouldn't have stated shrimp and that he did an investigation and it sounded like I said shrimp. Remind you I'm on a 30 minute lunch break and he is doing all of this. Sir all you had to do was remake the food even if the customer was wrong. Recently moved to Debary and decided to try some Chinese. Took it to go and ordered house mei fun and orange chicken. The food was hot. Not bad. So, I was craving Chinese and decided to drive 45 minutes to this place. If you follow the GPS on this app it brings you to an American Legion lodge. It is actually in the Winn Dixie shopping center about a mile up the road. I ordered General Tso chicken, fried rice, pan fried dumplings and beef on a stick. The only item that was worth mentioning was the dumplings. The chicken was not crisp and was not enjoyable. The beef on a stick was not as flavorful as I had expected. Yeah when you find hard pieces of vegetables in your rice means there either needs to be some cleaning that needs to be done or the food was reheated... Typical sweet as hell food to hide the fact that there is no real culinary going on... I base my one star on the fact that the egg drop soup was old food seemed chewy with hard pieces which means a few things and that fact that the dumplings tasted freezer burnt... Americanized Chinese food isn't hard to screw up and these guys have done it in flying colors... read more

I first had fried rice in Okinawa in 1966. Since then I have had fried rice in Japan, Vietnam, California, Chicago, Washington DC, Knoxville TN, and probably twenty plus restaurants in Florida. I consider myself well versed in what excellent fried rice should taste and look like. One of the characteristics of good fried rice is that it is actually prepared in a Wok or similar style of cookware. Based on what I was served, it was not prepared in that manner. My order was house fried rice. The chicken was boiled in look with it being a pale white in color, the first time I have ever seen chicken that looked like that. The rice had a color somewhere between orange and yellow. I have never seen rice look like that and there was no flavor to enjoy. My shrimp also looked boiled and like the chicken showed no appearance of having been anywhere close to a hot Wok. I'm still looking for the beef. There were some strands of a reddish material that could possibly have been beef, but I'm not convinced it was. We also ordered Wonton soup. It was flavorless and the dumplings were old tasting and boring. My wife had Chicken w/vegetables. Her chicken looked like my chicken...white and boiled looking. She said the vegetables were fine, but the accompanying white sauce was in fact garlic sauce, not what we ordered. It was our first and last time as their customers. This is my absolute favorite Chinese Restaurant in Florida. I live in Orlando and will drive an hour to go eat there. The staff is incredibly nice and the owner, Joyce, is super sweet.
