Food quantity: 9/10 Food quality: 10/10 Service: 9/10 Ambiance: 10/10 Overall rating 9.5/10 Great as always, came to celebrate Chinese new year with the family!

Chuan fu does Sichuan justice! Everything we got was super flavorful and the perfect amount of spice. Their menu has such a wide variety and I want to try them all! Literally everything we got was so delicious. I was a little worried that everything would be the same flavor considering they're all spicy and in some sort of chili sauce, but they each have their own distinct flavor.

We stopped by Chuan Fu for an early, easy dinner around 5-ish, and the place was pretty empty when we arrived. By the time we were leaving, it was completely packed which says a lot. The service was great from start to finish, and the food was even better. We ordered some wings, sesame chicken, and house special fried rice, and everything was delicious. Each dish was full of flavor and so yummy. This is definitely a place we'll be coming back to. We're excited to try more from the menu next time.

Best fried rice? You're looking at it! This is the only restaurant in town serving cured pork fried rice. It's a simple looking dish, but that cured pork adds a bold, smoky flavor and aroma like no other. I've ordered this dish numerous times, and it's a dish I never get tired of. It pairs well with other dishes as well, one of my favorites being their stir-fried shredded pork with bamboo shoots. Salty, savory, and perfectly nuanced by bell peppers and bamboo shoots, I typically order this dish to go since the quality remains the same whether you eat on site or microwave it the next day. I also like to order their cold cut couple, which is a cold dish consisting of beef tender, beef tripe, and beef shank in chili oil, topped with cilantro and peanuts. While the dish may be soaked in chili oil, don't let appearances fool you. It's not spicy at all, but is packed full of rich umami flavor that goes really well on rice.

I generally eat at the strip mall Chinese fast food places, but sometimes I want to sit down and have a nice quality meal in a nice atmosphere with proper table service. I happened to find Chuan Fu as I was with my wife at her doctor and we were craving Chinese after her appointment. I found this place and decided to give it a try. We went for a late lunch; we were the only ones in the restaurant. We were greeted and seated with a smile. We were given menus and water, and we both requested tea; our server brought us each a pot. We perused the menu, and I ordered Hot & Sour Soup, which I always use as a reference on how the food will be. I ordered General Tao Chicken, and my wife had Beef with Hot Pepper. I was intrigued by the "Signature" Pork Fried Rice, so I ordered that as well. had me and was phenomenal! Off to a great start! Then the mains came, delicious and fresh! The fried rice was very different, and very good- you could taste the cured pork! My wife's beef was delicious as well. The portions were huge and we both took a to go box home with us. The menu is quite extensive and we will definitely be back to try more!

Love the Sichuan flavors here. Spicy beef and chicken are fire. Love the chili wonton. Had the cold pork belly in chili oil for the first time and it was awesome. We got here Saturday around 530, seated right away, but after that the line started to build. For lunch the service has always been superb, during the busy dinner rush they got behind a little, but not a big deal. Everyone is very helpful and friendly.

I've heard a lot of good things about this place so I came to check it out with my friend for dinner. The inside of the restaurant is nice and clean. Our server was so nice and helpful explaining the menu to us. We ordered the Sichuan Wontons and the Beef w Hot Pepper. The wontons here were so good! I wish we ordered more. We enjoyed the Beef as well, it had good flavor. It was a tiny bit chewy though. I do want to come back here and try some of their other menu items. If you come here make sure to order the wontons!

We went back a 2nd time for a date night! Even better! Plus, we tried a new meal! We went on a Sunday night since we had Monday off and the restaurant wasn't busy at all. Plenty of parking this time around and we sat down immediately. I highly suggest coming on a Sunday. The staff was great and we had a wonderful time! We got three things and ended up paying around $70.

I got the chance to revisit this restaurant and I'm so glad I get to give this place another good review. A key difference this time is that the place was not packed. My first time visiting, there must have been an event - parking was extremely limited and there was a wait time for a table. This time around, parking was easily available and we were seated immediately. The place was just as clean and the staff were just as kind and attentive. As for food, we ordered sizzling steak (our favorite) and this time we ordered pork ribs as well. It can be a little spicy if you have trouble handling spice, however it's absolutely delicious. The meat was pulling off the bone easily and it was very filling with its bunched vegetables on the sides. I will continue to recommend Chuan Fu as long as their food continues to be this great.

I did not like the food here. Many Chinese restaurants will marinate beef with baking soda to tenderize it, and it creates an almost velvety texture to the beef. However, the beef here was marinated with way too much baking soda. The beef felt too squishy and had no chew, and the texture was a bit nauseating. The flavors here were also extremely reliant on sodium and MSG. Everything was really salty.

Sichuan Wontons
Kristy S.

Loved the food. My favorite is the Sichuan wontons, pea shoots and Twice cooked pork. The duck wasn't what I thought it was going to be but just ok. The server was helpful with the menu and suggestive. The restaurant was big , clean and decorated as themed. I totally recommend coming here. The food isn't too spicy unless you want to be.

We came hungry, left happy, and maybe just a little bit numbed by chili oil (in the best way possible). We ordered a TON of food to sample. 夫妻肺片 - Sliced Beef & Ox Tongue in Chili Sauce Yes, it literally translates to "Husband and Wife Lung Slices" (romantic, right?). But don't worry,it's beef tendon and tripe, not lungs. Cold, spicy, tangy, and salty. Basically Florida's answer to air conditioning in appetizer form, incredibly refreshing. Chili Oil Wontons (Michelin Bib Gourmand) These little pockets of joy lived up to the hype. Not too spicy, just the right numbing kick, with a vinegar tang that made me want to drink the sauce straight. Honestly, I'd swim in it. 水煮鱼片 - Fish Fillet in Spicy Broth Childhood comfort food unlocked. The white fish is so tender it basically melts, soaking up that hotpot-like broth. Spicy, flavorful, and a hug in a bowl, if hugs came with chili oil. Cabbage Tofu Soup Simple, light, and refreshing. The perfect palate cleanser after swimming through a sea of Szechuan oil. Stir-Fried Pork Chitterlings Don't let the name scare you, these are crunchy, chewy, spicy, and absolutely addictive. They managed to take out the "funk" and keep all the flavor. Probably my favorite bite of the night. My wife, who normally doesn't like chitterling dishes, actually enjoyed this. Crispy Duck Meal Here's where my taste buds split. The duck was well-cooked, crispy, and paired nicely with the sweet chili and pepper dips. But it leaned oily and a bit gamy for me. Not bad at all, just not my preference compared to the Cantonese roasted versions I usually prefer. Definitely encourage you to try it for yourself as this is another popular dish here. The Service Shout-out to our server, who was incredibly kind, attentive, and gave spot-on recommendations that made the meal even better. The food was amazing, but the service made the whole experience shine. The Price The dishes are definitely meant to be shared between 2-3 people but can still seem a little pricier than other Chinese places. I personally think it is totally worth it because of the quality and authenticity of the food. It's seriously hard to find authentic Szechuan dishes executed this well in Orlando so id gladly pay these prices. Final Verdict Other than the duck, every dish here was the best version I've had in Orlando. Solid 5/5 across the board, duck gets a respectful 3.5/5 but executed well with great technique. If you're like my wife and don't really eat much rice, some dishes might lean salty. Most Chinese food was made to be paired with rice to balance the saltiness, so just keep that in mind. Definitely taking friends and family here whenever they visit and adding it to our regular rotation.

Potstickers

My review is solely based upon our experience at the location as the atmosphere we were not prepared for. We had made a reservation for Wednesday night around 6:30 and when we arrived, the large main dining area was rented out to a group of 50+ people. While they had outdoor seating and a few tables in the back of the restaurant available, the noise from the group made it incredibly hard to have a conversation. Not to mention the group was using a microphone. They do have a pretty eclectic menu and our server was friendly, but was also catering to the larger group. We opted to do something that was a little bit more traditional so I got the Kung Po chicken and my friend got the fried noodles with chicken. Both meals were definitely large portions as we were both able to bring leftovers home. We did get the potstickers and really enjoyed those. They are filled with pork. There's a lot of construction going on in this area and the parking lot was really disorganized because of it. They are building a parking garage which hopefully will alleviate some of the parking challenges but definitely give yourself time if you have dinner reservations in this area as finding a parking spot can be a challenge as there are several other restaurants and a hotel that all share the same lot

I kept seeing the lychee martini being ordered to I got that and it was as good as everyone mentioned. It does have popping boba at the bottom which I loved but I know not everyone likes it so just an fyi. My sister got the Roddy pom. So if you're a long time Central Florida resident, then you know that street is very walkable and super cute with the park nearby but also high end. I mean it has a Williams Sonoma, like casually. The restaurant is located at 525 S Park Ave, Winter Park, FL 32789. My boyfriend did get the reservation I think about a month in advance. It very much surprised me as one of my goals is to try new places in Orlando, and this was one that he had been to that I hadn't been to. So A++++ for him. So the restaurant had a super nice atmosphere but was very booked out. There were heart balloons at every table. So the decor was absolutely in the room with us lol. The service was very nice and I feel that they were very attentive and almost felt like maybe they had been trained to provide a certain feeling to customers. I'm sure they had been. Getting into the food, I'm not sure what the bill was. I wasn't allowed to look at it. I will say that I'm sure it was at least $100. I did leave feeling very full, but I do feel like that's a lot of money for me to feel full. We ordered the Misoyaki Butterfish, which was a Miso-glazed Chilean sea bass on a plate with ginger-sake eggplant, butter garlic sautéed spinach, and Japanese potato purée. It's a large plate and we did share, but it was not the whole fish. I think if I pay $45 for a fish, I want the whole fish. My rating is 8.5/10. It was incredibly delicious, but I want the rest of my fish. We also got the Kanpungi, which was fried Korean style boneless chicken bites smothered in a spicy soy sauce glaze. My rating of this is 9/10. I think it was great and was very filling for an appetizer. We accidentally ran into our friends at the restaurant, who had sent us a bottle of sake. The sake was great. We sent back a non-alcoholic cocktail they had and a sake based cocktail. I couldn't tell you what it tasted like, but the service presented and delivered back and forth between our table in a manner I can only describe as carrier pigeon-esque. They did great. I love fanfare. I think for a first date, this is a great place to bring someone you have been talking to for a little bit and want to show that you have a good stable job in this economy and like foods outside of American food. I wasn't on a first date as a note lol. My overall rating is 7.5/10. I mean I think everything was great, but that price stabbed me a little. My boyfriend did suggest to me that it would have been a higher rating if we had gotten one of the rolls. So that's on me. It is in a great walkable neighborhood though. So you are getting charged for ambiance.

Perfect chewy texture, what Taiwanese would call "QQ" I realized after my second visit that I still have not tried an udon with hot broth. I've tried the Spicy Miso Tan-Tan Udon, which was quite tasty, although a little on the richer/heavier side. I have also tried the Mentaiko Tsukimi Udon which was refreshing in the cold broth. I paired it with an add-on of sliced beef, which was delicious, they serve it on the side so you can add to whatever dish on your own. What I wouldn't recommend... The Viet Coffee with sesame foam and crushed sesame seeds was hard to drink. I loved the initial flavors but the foam got a little greasy and clumpy when mixed with the crushed sesame seeds, particularly toward the second half of the coffee. I wouldn't order it again. I would be interested to see any updates they've made recently but with so many new restaurants on Mills, I may choose those first.
