We decided to try Licious Noodles with all the other good reviews, we've had some amazing food in China town! The space inside is decorated so nice and there's a QR code on the table for the menu for easy ordering. We did the order quickly but didn't realize you could choose your noodles bc the app doesn't prompt you at all. I was a little bummed after figuring that out, it would have been nice to try the house made ones but we just got the standard thin noodles since we didn't catch that. For food we ordered a noodle soup, the N1 with minced pork. The sauce was a little strange, almost like it had too much vinegar, I couldn't figure it out. The meat was very small but the bowl wasn't too pricey at $12. Also had an after thought of a few chickpeas and spinach leaves, unimpressive. The second dish we ordered was the TN3 sesame sauce noodles with cucumber, minced pork and carrots for $11. Of the two, I preferred this one but nothing too special. I liked that they gave you a pitcher of cumber water for the table and we were in and out pretty fast. From the other restaurants in this plaza it was sadly kinda a let down. read more

We had a great experience here overall and all of the food we tried was delicious. The noodles and dumplings were flavorful, fresh, and clearly made with care. The only disappointment was that they were out of several chicken and beef dishes we wanted to order, since my husband does not eat pork, so that limited some of our options. What really stood out was the customer service. The staff was very kind and unexpectedly brought us a free dessert, which was such a thoughtful gesture and very much appreciated. Great time here! Food was fresh and delicious, incredibly good value and the staff were super kind. We came in right at open on Saturday and were pretty much the only ones in the restaurant so bit of a different experience: super attentive and the place was basically spotless. We stumbled across this area after leaving the carribean supermarket. All this time I never knew Orlando has a china town... And it didn't disappoint. A delicious Chinese restaurant in China Town of Orlando! The restaurant os vibrant and modern with a good amount of seating. I received friendly service from my server, Bobby who was very informative of the menu. I started with some apps, being spicy wings, and marinated Tofu. Never had tofu before, but this sauce with this was delicious, and the wings were crispy, but not spicy at all. I had the scallion pancakes which were crisp and another delicious app. The potstickers were nicely packed and went great with the sauce that it's plated it. The seafood curry was a show stopper, and not spicy at all. Also very hardy with the amount of pasta. The rice bowl may not look like much, but the pork has so much flavor and the rice helps fill you up. I'd return to try more of the menu for sure! read more

This spot completely exceeded my expectations. While I mainly came here to try the Pan Fried Pork Buns, all of the food I tried was actually delicious. First off, Pan fried pork buns were just as good as they looked. The meat inside the buns was full of flavor and the 4 buns were extremely filling. The crispy bottom of the buns was probably my favorite part! The soup dumplings were full of soup! Nothing is worse than ordering soup dumplings and the inside is just a drop of soup. These really might be some of the best soup dumplings in the Orlando area. Next I had the sesame sauced pork noodles and the tossed wontons. While neither of these were amazing, they definitely were not bad at all and full of flavor. I could totally see myself ordering the Wontons again, but I probably wouldn't get these specific noodles when I return. I finished off all of this with the Black Mango Sticky Rice. This was actually pretty good! The coconut milk was amazing in this dessert as well as the rice. The only negative was that there was barely any mango in it (it legit only had like 5 small mango chunks). Also the ratio of milk compared to the Rice+Mango was really off. It was mostly just a bowl of milk with a little bit of rice and mangos. I still really liked this dessert and will totally get it again when I come back. With so many great food options in the Orlando Chinatown plaza, I feel like Licious really stands out. The price point was honestly great and all of the food punched far above their price point with generous portion sizes. Saw them on social media so we decided to give them a try since the menu looked great. Restaurant was clean and had an open layout. We had a party of 6 so we had to wait 15 minutes to get seated. Once seated, we waited for about 10 minutes until I had to wave down a waitress to take our order. We placed numerous dumplings items, and in the beginning, a few items came out, but then it just stopped. We were missing a wonton dish and all of our noodle dishes, and at this point we were there for an hour. We noticed other patrons getting their noodle dishes that came in after us so we inquired about it and were told they would let us know. 5 minutes later no one follows up so we inquire again to another waiter and was told they would check but again, no one comes back. We decided to tell the main lady to cancel and she then also says she's going to check, and again, no update. At this point it's been 1-1/2 hours since we've been seated and we're stilling missing 5 dishes with no updates so we decided to get up and just firmly cancel the dishes. They apologized profusely but we were never given a reason why it took so long and why we were never given an estimate of when to expect our food. Just keep being strung along. The food that we actually did receive was but the overall experience was just bad and inexcusable. Located in one of the Chinatowns in Orlando along the popular Colonial Drive, Licious Noodles & Bao is one of many "fusion" asian cuisine restaurants. I forgot to ask exactly when they opened but everything in the restaurant appears to be fresh, clean and new. Top marks for that. There's ample seating with half booths and tables. One thing that really stood out is their emphasis on lighting. The entire place is nicely lit including their restrooms. Yes their restrooms. I so impressed with the unique wall lighting that I took a picture. When we arrived for lunch on this Sunday of MLK weekend, they were not busy so we were seated rather quickly. Unfortunately there appeared to be only 2 servers and they got busy as more patrons arrived. It took us a few minutes to get our orders but our cucumber infused water came out quickly. It was a chilly day and we wanted to have some hot herbal tea. Unfortunately the large 10 top that was beside us already ordered hot tea and were using the only 2 teapots that the restaurant had. Yes hot tea was unavailable because the establishment only had 2 small pots. In my experience, if you cannot provide a menu item consistently, then don't have it on the menu. Only offer it as a side item if a guest inquires. We ordered a wide variety of apps and entrees. Our portions arrived as they were completed. The sliced pickled mushrooms was a cold app and wasn't my cup of tea, but others in our party liked them. My favorites were the soup dumplings served in the steamer baskets. It was on par with other soup dumplings I've had and most importantly they were served fresh and hot. We also tried their fried potstickers. Nicely pan fried, they were filled with the tasty pork and chives. Yom Yom Yom. You can't eat at a place that has Bao in their name and not try some Bao so we tried their pan fried pork buns. This was interesting because the buns were first steamed then thrown on the pan and flash fried to add a bit of color and firmness to the bottom of the bun. This was a first for us and it turns out, doesn't affect anything anything other than aesthetics because the buns tasted just fine albeit a little crunchy and "blackened" on the bottom. Tammy enjoyed her beef noodle soup with thin slices of beef in a salty beef broth. Be warned that the YN1 Yibin Spicy Noodles is NOT the pictured bowl of noodles right above the menu item. The Yibin is a dry noodle with no soup. They might want to make some kind of notation to that nature on the menu. I tried the N5 Seafood Curry Noodle soup. The coconut curry soup was quite good and not as spicy as it could've been. The pieces of fish and and shrimp were delicious and complemented the noodles nicely. As we were enjoying the last of our meal and winding down, the restaurant started to get busy and our server asked if we could relinquish our table. We had no problem with that, but it left a bad taste in my mouth after an otherwise lovely lunch. read more

We visited Licious Noodles & Bao about a week after they opened, and overall had a decent experience. Our waiter, Bobby, was incredibly friendly, helpful, and kind -- honestly one of the best servers we've had in a while. There was an issue with one of our orders, but he handled it perfectly. He was very apologetic and made sure to make things right, which turned the situation around completely. He even gave us a cute magnet and tote bag as a nice touch. As for the food, the peppercorn chicken wasn't quite what I was expecting. It had a nice Sichuan peppercorn flavor, but it's probably not something I'd order again, just really different... The flounder and sauerkraut noodle soup was the favorite of the meal -- flavorful, comforting, and definitely something I'd recommend. Also it has 2 chili peppers on the menu, indicating it's spicy, but it wasn't really that spicy, just a little peppery(?). The soup dumplings were okay; I've had better elsewhere, and these tasted a bit more on the premade/frozen side. The pot stickers were good, though I'm not usually big on them. They were also complimentary because of the earlier mix-up, which was appreciated. I think this spot would mainly be known for their noodle dishes, so would likely come back to try their other noodle dishes. The appetizers and such were just ok. The interior is bright, modern, and welcoming. You can tell they put a lot of effort into making the space open and inviting. Pricing felt reasonable for the quality and setting. We visited licious noodles and bao on a Thursday around 3pm. The service was great throughout our stay. They'd seated us immediately. For starters, we got a spicy pork soup dumpling and a chicken soup dumpling. They were both very tasty and there was a generous amount of broth in them. The table had black vinegar which was a great pairing as usual. I shockingly liked the chicken more than the beef but they were both spot on. Based on their soup dumplings, I'd love to do a full dim sum meal here since they've got a great selection. My companion got the soul and spicy noodles with ground beef. They were actually pretty good, but the seasoning was all tied into the beef and not heavily on the noodles. We also didn't expect the noodles to be cold. It was a good dish though, but a small portion for the cost. I got the sichuan spicy beef noodle soup, which was a much more generous serving. That being said, the beef wasn't really seasoned, it seemed like it was just boiled with no seasoning. The broth was awesome though, and the noodles were very good. We have started coming here often because of how great the food and service are. I honestly cannot say enough good stuff about this place. It is very beautiful inside. It looks very new. It's always very very clean when we go as well. I almost always get the soup dumplings this time. I also tried the coconut milk with sticky rice because I haven't had that dessert since a Malaysian restaurant in New Jersey that we used to go to consistently. I really hope I can find a place that has ABC. But for now this restaurant does also do a snow ice which I will try next time. I was just too full this time to be able to try another dessert. Everything here has been very good so far and we have come about three or four times but this was the first time I got a dessert and I am so glad that I did because it taste very similar to the one from New Jersey at the Malaysian restaurant. Licious Noodles and Bao are located at 5076 W Colonial Dr, Orlando, FL 32808. It's located near the Enson Market in Orlando on the west side of Colonial Dr. The area itself provides a strip mall atmosphere in one of the more well known Asian American neighborhoods. When you walked in, the decor was very nice and bright and they had a counter in the back so you could see them making the noodles live. There was a good amount of people in there, but that did not prevent my favorite type of customer service to appear. The kind where they kind of speak English but not really and are really nice and attentive. We ordered the pork soup dumplings, sesame sauced minced pork noodles, the spicy wontons, and the mango sago. The food came out quick and our order was taken care of quickly. Overall, restaurant atmosphere was nice and definitely somewhere in between casual and fine dining. The price was not too bad and had come out to about $40, not including tip and taxes. The portion size was also fantastic and I left feeling satisfied. Let's get into the food. Everything I rate is out of ten and occasionally I will give an overall rating. What does this mean? Well my ratings don't mean much really, I'm just a woman who really enjoys to eat and likes putting a quantitative value on my food journey. The pork soup dumplings got a 8/10. It had good flavor depth and filled my craving for soup, however, I wish that there was just a little bit more soup in them. I do consider myself a gremlin for soup and just a personal preference. The sesame sauced minced pork noodles got a 9/10. These were absolutely delicious and the noodles were bouncy and chewy. The sauce was great and covered all the noodles but did not overtake the whole plate in a sloppy mess. In hindsight, I should have gotten the sesame sauced ground shrimp noodles, but alas next time I shall try that. The spicy wontons got a 8.5/10. It was absolutely was I was expecting and wanting. Extra points were not awarded as it did not wow me, but it's not intended to be a show stopper but a good staple you can always depend on. The mango sago got a 6.5/10. It was fine. It was sweet and you could taste the coconut cream in it. The sago was cooked perfectly and was squishy in my mouth, however, I don't order mango sago to barely taste the mango. Mango is one of my favorite fruits. While this was sweet and good because I like sugar, it's not the best mango sago I have ever had. Overall experience was an 8.5/10. I would come back here again. Like a lot of newer Orlando Chinese restaurants its atmosphere strikes a good balance between being posh and inviting--seems upscale but actually casual while fully benefiting from advantages of being new and having new furnishings. Service is prompt and pretty friendly but somewhat expecting you to know what you want if you're here. Hits: Scallion chicken, their version of dan-dan noodles (which they don't call dan-dan noodles, they call it something else I think but is in fact very close), seafood curry noodle soup, beef dumplings, and their pork bao are all really delicious. The menu seems like it could be longer ideally and a lot of overlap with other restaurants in the plaza. Still however good stuff for sure. With little flecks of cooked scallions. The chicken scallion oil noodles is a lovely comfort food. The texture was perfect, reminded me of the texture of japchae. Went here on a Saturday at about 5pm it was very chill not a lot of people, they're very attentive we got sat immediately, they're were quick with the menus and drinks. We ordered three dishes alll were sooooo good! The waiter was nice he was an older man very attentive and friendly and cracked some jokes too. The pork soup dumplings were amazing! The potatoe salad was spicy but very well seasoned, then the pork sesame noodles omg were so flavorful and not too greasy! Obv pork has grease but the dish wasn't extremely greasy just the perfect amount the sauce was rich and juicy. We also had the scallion pancake which really was the best scallion pancake I've ever had, it also wasn't super greasy which I loved because no one wants to feel super fat after eating, it was so crisp and chewy with a great scallion flavor! The staff were friendly and the interior is clean the ambiance is chill great interior design and the bathrooms were clean and impressive enough that I had to mention it here. We got the beef noodle and the Coconut Curry with the pan fried buns and sweet and sour chili wontons and all of it was a 10/10 beef was tender broths were great.
