We loved everything about this place. They had so many unique styles of potatoes that we have never tried before. On your first visit they bring you a sample of the authentic meats for you to try. The gnocchi is so good it melts in your mouth. This was one of the best meals I have ever had and the Rosti makes for great leftovers. They service is fantastic and they are super friendly. The theming of the restaurant is so fun and right on point for what they serve. Definitely recommend this place!!
This restaurant has been here forever and I've finally gotten around to trying it. It's in a strip plaza off Conroy. The service was fast and the food was really good. We got steak with gnocchi in an Alfredo sauce. The gnocchi was outstanding and the sauce was rich and delicious. It's not a pretty restaurant but was cute, Lots of potato heads and stuff about Guy fieri. I ended with flan that was really good. I'd go back for that gnocchi and try a stuffed potato as the videos made them Look amazing.
We visited Mrs. Potato after seeing an Instagram reel promoting it while we were visiting the Orlando area. I'm so glad that we stopped by! We order so much food so that we could try all the Brazilian food that they offered. The coxinha and pastels were AMAZING!!! The garlic mayo and green mayo were the perfect pairing for dipping sauce, not that it was needed. And honestly, the fries were so good too! The picanha was so tender and flavorful. The service and atmosphere is great. The restaurant is tucked away in a strip mall and may be an local's best kept secret. Add this to your list of go-to spots, order some spectacular food, and stay for dessert!
Was feeling peckish one day and decided to stop by Mrs Potato. My partner absolutely loves anything potato and I was personally intrigued by the fact that Guy Fieri has mentioned and visited them multiple times! Walking in, we were quickly greeted by the hostess who was also the waiter. There was maybe one other family so we were seated quickly and our order was taken efficiently. They do have indoor and outdoor seating option if you prefer. The food was amazing! Now be warned, this is not for the faint of heart, a lot of what we ordered was fried or very cheesy but oh so good! They do have other options like picanha and I believe fish but we opted for a loaded potato, a shrimp empanada, coxinhas, and my Chicken Rosti. The portion sizes were not bad for the amount of food we had. Boy oh boy did we have food coma after! Will definitely be coming back!
Had the chance to visit Mrs. Potato in Orlando, and it was a delightful little gem! We tried their cheese balls to start, and they were perfectly crispy and gooey inside--definitely a must-have. We also went for a banana and cheese empanada (which was a unique combo of sweet and savory that actually worked really well) and a classic cheese empanada that was super satisfying. But the star of the show was definitely their Brazilian hash brown dish called Rosti. It comes out like this glorious mountain of crispy hash browns layered with cheese, and we chose pork sausage for our protein. It was deliciously hearty and comforting. The service was friendly and attentive. It's a cozy little spot with both indoor and outdoor seating, and the food is absolutely worth it. Highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area!
We haven't been to Mrs. Potato in a while. We stopped in because my son was craving a baked potato. We were immediately greeted upon entering. We engaged in conversation with staff as we ordered. I ordered the Steak with Double Broccoli and my son got the Philly Cheese Steak Baked Potato. The restaurant still displays various potato head toys. Furthermore, memorabilia and a quote are featured from Guy Fieri's visit to the restaurant. The restaurant was clean and provided a warm atmosphere. Once we got home, we unpacked the food and dug it. We were so excited, I forgot to take photos. The food was delicious. My son stated his potato was "The Bomb". It sure looked good and had a generous amount of steak and cheese. My steak was juicy, tender and flavorful. The broccoli was made with garlic butter and cooked well. They were not too hard or too soft. Overall: A Good customer service and even better food.
Mrs. Potato has been on my must-try list for awhile and wow, was it worth it! On a rainy evening we were craving cozy warm potato goodness and they delivered! Every part of the meal was delicious and I'm so grateful we tried the servers suggested tapioca cheese bites - I might actually dream about them tonight they were so delicious! The picanha was cooked perfectly, the rosti was crispy and the coxinha were delicious! We can't wait to come back and try again!
I decided to take myself here for lunch one day and found a new favorite place to go. I arrived around 12 o'clock and there was only one of the party in the restaurant before me. It is a small location so if you're a larger group it's probably not the best location to go to. The parking lot is shared with a large strip mall And I did find that I had to circle a few times before I found a spot. I tried the strawberry juice (handmade every day), a ground beef empanada, and the chicken catupiry rosti. This is shredded chicken and cheese in a hash brown like Patti. All the food was incredibly delicious. I do wish the ground beef empanada had more ground beef in it. Overall, the food was absolutely delicious and I would definitely be going back! Another cool fact about this place that I didn't know was that Guy has been here as part of Diners, drive ins and dives!
Such an amazing hole in the wall restaurant. I came on a Saturday evening and was greeted immediately. I sat on a small table inside. I decided to go Non-Alcoholic this time and enjoy some passion fruit juice (about 7 dollars), which was freshly made. I really enjoyed the sweetness of the fruit and I don't think they added any sugars either. So it was healthy and delicious. For my entree, I had to try their famous rosti, and I took the small chicken rosti with salad (18 dollars). The salad was fresh and amazing, while the rosti was filling and great. I never tried rosti before, but it is like a hash brown with fillings. While I wish there were more chicken in the filling, it was moist and flavorful. There could have been more cream cheese for the flavor, but adding some pepper condiment provided what I was looking for. The small portion was still enough for my to even take home the next day. The service was attentive and caring. It was pretty quick too as I was in and out in less then an hour. The atmosphere is very small and casual with potato heads and pictures of Guy Ferrari at their restaurant. Outdoor seating is also available, but I wanted to stay warm. The noise level was library quiet, so you could also enjoy a relaxing or romantic dinner with your partner as well. I am so happy I tried this place. It's definitely a hidden gem that definitely deserved to be recognized by that food network show. I will indeed visit again, and even take my mom as it should have vegetarian options as well.
My dad is a big Diners, Drive Ins and Dives fan - so after seeing this place on the show we had to go when he came to visit. It was much smaller than I was expecting, with only about 6-10 tables inside. There was a whole outpost seating area though and it wasn't crowded. The food was really good and leftovers held up really well. The loaded fries were honestly our favorite, cooked perfectly. But, the rosti with the meat and the chicken was really tasty. You have to try the homemade garlic sauce too!
The steak and gnocchi were really good. The banana dessert was REALLY good. The DDD dish Carne Seca was loved by my 2 babies, my husband and I thought it was just ok. Inside of the restaurant was cute. Very small, but cute. They had a changing table and high chairs, and the waitress was very nice! Would try again.
We randomly happened to be on this side of town and got to try this place for the first time but it definitely won't be our last! While it is small and unassuming from the outside, inside the Mrs. Potato Head Toys and service is impressive. Our server gave us some amazing recommendations and was super attentive. We had the fried brie appetizer with pepper jelly, the carne seca rosti (aka giant hash brown stuffed with Brazilian meat and cream cheese), and the truffle sauce gnocchi with picanha. Everything was amazing and the portions were great! They also had an all you can eat soup option that I'd love to come back and try. I'm only sad it's taken me this long to try it
Not only is this a great Brazilian eatery featured on Food Network's Diners Drive-Ins and Dives with Guy Fieri, it is a local legend that employed a hero. Flaviane Carvalho was a manager here when she saved a young boy from an abusive stepfather. The viral body cam footage and media coverage proves Flaviane Carvalho as a courageous Samaritan. After the overwhelming public support, Flaviane started her own business and now supplies the meat to Mrs Potato. I went here after seeing the viral body camera footage and was equally impressed by the food. The location is in the back of a strip mall and it is decorated very fun with potato heads all over. I highly recommend stopping by to try the food and support this establishment! read more

If you're craving real Brazilian comfort food in Orlando, Mrs. Potato is a must-stop every time I'm in town. This place feels like a little slice of Brazil. The food is authentic, flavorful, and made with that homemade touch you don't always find outside the country. Everything I've tried here has been consistently good, and it's one of those spots I look forward to visiting whenever I'm in Orlando. Hubby and I were delayed flying out of Orlando so we took advantage of the opportunity to finally pay Mrs. Potato a visit. We arrived for lunch and were seated immediately. We started off with bolinha de queijo, a Brazilian version of cheese sticks in the form of a ball. These were absolutely phenomenal! So ooey and gooey on the inside with a nice crispy breading. They came with a garlic sauce that was also amazing. We shared the carne seca rosti for our entree. This dish was so delicious! The potato top was perfectly crispy. The shredded Brazilian cured beef was moist and flavorful. The cream cheese sauce was such a standout. I just loved the combo of shredded meat, cream cheese and potato. Simple idea, executed flawlessly! Top notch service, friendly staff, excellent food, unique menu - Mrs. Potato lived up to the hype and made the delay a lot more tolerable. read more
A group of us with varying dietary needs were able to meet here for dinner and all find something delicious! We shard some apps and each got entrees, most of us getting our preferred versions of their rosti. Everything was great and good portions, too. We were able to have gluten-free, dairy-free, vegetarian, and low tolerance for spicy foods all covered here and no one feeling like they had to compromise or pick something they weren't excited about because it was their only option. Absolutely a heaven for all potato lovers. I personally love potatoes so much so I was attracted to this restaurant by its name. I got the Carne Seca rosti and the truffle sauce gnocchi. Gosh I can't be more happy with the rosti, I cant imagine how it could be made better - the hash brown has perfectly crispy shell and the perfectly soft inside, and the meat together is a bite of a perfect hash brown pie. The gnocchi is really good too and love the truffle sauce that is flavorful but not overpowering. The caipirinha doesn't have much (if any) of the normal cachaca flavor, which actually made it more refreshing and to me better than the normal under the orlando weather. I'm now jealous that this restaurant is in Orlando and I would definitely visit again the next time I visit the city! read more
Unlimited soup, bread, and toppings on a rare chilly day in Orlando? Yes, please! The soup bar is the star attraction here, offering six different soups and a toppings bar with plenty of options to customize your bowl. I saw croutons and macaroni (to bulk up your soup if needed) onions, different cheeses, fresh herbs, hot sauce, and more! Plus, you get unlimited baskets of bread--baguette and pão de queijo -- and if you ask, there's garlic sauce to go with it. Last Friday, the 6 soups were black bean, hearts of palm, creamy potato, short rib and grits, caldo verde, and cheesy cauliflower. My only gripe? The soups weren't labeled for allergies or dietary preferences--I mistakenly assumed the black bean was vegetarian until I bit into a chunk of meat. We also tried a "small" rosti potato, which was still big enough for two people and came with a fresh side salad. The rosti was perfectly cooked--crispy outside, cheesy inside, and very satisfying. The leftovers heated up nicely for breakfast the next day too! Taking a star off for the state of the bathroom (yikes), but if that doesn't deter you, Mrs. Potato is a cozy spot for a warm, hearty meal. read more

First time here. Staff was very pleasant and helpful with the menu. First time with this type of food and it may take another trip to figure out exactly what will be to my taste. Had the Carne Seca Empanada to start. Flavor profile wasn't for me. Great crispy outside tho. Had the Calabresa Sausage Rosti for meal. It was good. Ground sausage and mozzarella cheese. Just thought it should have a little more flavor punch to it. But maybe adding some other ingredients to it would do that. read more
I love this place. I believe it's a small business owner and they clearly know what they're doing, because the food is delicious. The inside is not very nice, but i always get the food to go, so it doesn't bother me at all. I got the carne with creme cheese. So good read more
I've been wanting to try this for years! I finally got a chance and MAN!! What great customer service! The moment we entered the gentleman who was our waiter went above and beyond. As our first time there we sampled some of the popular/traditional meats and fillings. We ended up ordering the Philly cheesesteak, the shredded beef, and the bacon ranch and chicken rosti. They were SOOOO GOOD! The potatoes were so crispy, the meat was super flavorful, and it was overall such a delicious meal!! We ended up splitting our rosti to try each other's dishes. Also don't forget the fresh mango juice! Yum! It was so delicious and hit the spot. I'm salivating just writing this post wishing I lived a little closer so I could order from here more! We were helped as soon as we walked through the door, the servers were so sweet! I got the Parmesan Truffle Fries and Carne Seca Rosti to go. The fries and rosti were a little soggy by the time I got home, but that's not the restaurant's fault. A little time in the air frier will probably bring back the crispy texture. I recommend eating in the restaurant and not as takeout, to enjoy the food as soon as it comes out and retains its intended texture. The combination of meat and cream cheese was surprisingly yummy! The interior had Mr. Potato head toys displayed tastefully-it was very cute! read more
Nice welcome by Caique. To drink delicious natural strawberry lemonade and also pineapple juiced on the spot. The appetizer sampler of cod fish fritters and chicken drops is truly special. The Shrimp Catipury Empanada (Pastel) is spectacular!!! . We came for Feijoada and was plentiful full of meats and delicious. Pricey at $48 but huge; will truly serve 3 people. Best we have had in Orlando. Nice friendly ambiance; simple but airy and clean. Plenty parking in front. read more

What took me so long to stop by? Food was amazing. I love potatoes and this visit did not disappoint. The Carne Seca Rosti was perfectly browned and delicious. The garlic sauce side complimented the entree. Very friendly service. Will be back! Yum!! read more

Simply, wow! The service was good and it had a very homey feel. Visited twice in two days. Every entree was delicious and perfectly prepared. The Banana Pastel was a wonderful balance of sweet and salty and creamy. The chicken drops, cheese drops and cod fish drops were all beautifully prepared and surprisingly light. The freshly made juices were amazing as well. If you're near Orlando, or live there and have never been, you need to go for some authentic, and uniquely prepared Brazilian food. read more

Service and ambiance was excellent. 5/5 The food was delicious. I had a minor cold so it was hard tasting the food so I'll definitely be back to update this review. The staff greeted and sat us immediately upon us entry. Our drink order was taken and my iced tea was crisp (I'm picky about iced tea). I ordered was shrimp gnocchi and the portion was generous. It was perfectly prepared and the Alfredo sauce was delicious. My dessert was flan ... creamy and lovely. It was on the small side, but the ambience was like a friendly cafe, and there was plenty of room for our party of seven. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food. read more
It's okay. I expected more after reading rave reviews in Yelp. First let me say, I liked everything about the place. The warm, fun restaurant. The pleasant outdoor seating. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. An interesting menu. But the food. It was bland. I ordered chicken drops as an appetizer. This is their mini version of an empanada. Nicely done, but no taste, no seasoning. I got the cheese steak rosti - think Shepherd's Pie with steak, peppers, onions, cheese. Average. And churros. Oh, and house made juices. I got mango and strawberry. They did not taste freshly made. I'll leave it at that. read more

Potato, spud, taters, tubers are all names for the star of the show at Mrs. Potato but I dined here for the soup bar. Just like there are so many potato dumb dad jokes (seriously google it) this restaurant has the humble vegetable in all kinds of dishes. I think a lot of people come in for the 'Rosti' which you may have seen on Food Network's Diners Drive-ins & Dives. This potato pancake looks big enough for two people to share or a generous appetizer for a table. It looked and smelled wonderful and is definitely different from latkes. I went here twice and when I was there they had the soup buffet set up on the covered and screened patio. The soup was $19 something so this was my main meal. I really enjoyed this soup as they were all really nice flavors and chock full of ingredients. They did have some vegetarian options. The only reason I gave them 4.5 is that a few of the soups on the day I dined might have used the same base (creamy) and were similar. I really like trying a variety. This place is great for a Florida winter meal or anytime you need a bottomless soup bowl. I also had the cod fritters to go on another occasion and I thought they were not at all greasy for a fried menu option. I liked these a lot and enjoyed them in my vehicle. These are best served hot as they are crispy fish nuggets. This is not a large restaurant and the interior is modern and decorated with a couple potato heads. Service was prompt and efficient so no complaints. The soup buffet is self service so the pace of your meal is up to you. I will return to Mrs Potato because it's spud-tacular! Warned you. read more

There weren't many people there when my party of 5 arrived, so we didn't have to wait long for a table. A big rush did come in about 20 minutes later and there were people waiting to get a seat. The food itself was fantastic. Everyone loved their rosti--we all ordered and tasted around the table. The favorite was the rosti with shrimp, but the everyone loved what they ordered (broccoli cheese/philly cheesesteak/chicken). The also ordered a few appetizers and loved them all. Really enjoyed my first time at Mrs Potato. Well done shredded hash browns is a favorite of mine any time and any place. It's an added bonus when they create a pocket of hash browns and fill it with cheese and chicken. It was quite flavorful. I ordered the lunch special which came with a brie cheese salad. Dressing was good and it went well with the Brie and candied nuts. Our server was pleasant and very attentive. read more
