Stopped by for a quick lunch. It was hot outside but the lunch was delicious. The lobster roll with butter was good, probably the best I have had outside of Maine. The fries and coleslaw were also good. The restroom situation was a little tricky, as you had to wait until someone from the office could buzz you in. Over all it was a good stop.
Bar harbor has a great lunch window with lobster rolls and empanadas and specials and they always do a good job there, but that's not where the magic happens. The real magic is in their market. It all started with a time when I was looking for live lobsters to cook, and they do live lobster by the pound which is well priced. I love taking them home and cooking them. They also have an awesome selection of fresh fish including tuna and salmon and such. I've done a special order with them before and they are easy to work with and will help you get things that they don't always carry that their suppliers can offer. They also have a pretty great caviar selection, and it was great to get to try that. But the real magic for us is in the oysters. 90 cent blue points are a steal, and these guys also did a special order of wellfleets for us at a buck an oyster for New Year's Day. The staff here is also super friendly, and we've become regulars at this point. I'm a big fan of this place, and I'll definitely be back for more.
The place is a small fish market style with outdoor seating. Over all this isn't terrible, but it was cold. We ordered a lobster roll, sword Fish Special and lobster bisque. We sat at a table that was barely touched by the sun under an umbrella. I was looking to see how the umbrella worked before I was asking if I could take it down. Before I even asked one of the workers leaned out the window and kind of told me off asking me what I was doing. This already put out a weird vibe. The person who took our order didn't hear me order the lobster roll, which happens. We noticed this after checking the receipt, so we went back in to order that. Time goes by, waiting for the food. The previous guy calls my name. I go to the window as he pulls the food back in. He then my sister's name, then another name, as he hands those food orders out. I ask about mine and he says he didn't call my name. I literally sit there as 6 or 7 other people get there food and start eating. This is literally like 35 minutes. He opens the window and asks if I'm sure I didn't get my food... He said they made it, so he doesn't know what happened. I eventually get my food like 15 minutes later. He did apologize, so that was good. Maybe I was already in a bad mood, but I didn't enjoy the food at all. The vegetables were completely unseasoned, the fish was bland, and the potatoes were just basic. I tried to keep eating it because I was hungry, but it wasn't really worth it. I will say the lobster bisque is pretty lobster heavy, so if you like that kind of thing, I'd give that a try.
Not sure what all good reviews are about. Perhaps we decided to try on the wrong day. If you are looking for a chewy flavorless lobster roll this is your place. Not much more to say. The fries & the bread weee good. The lobster is horrible. Won't be back.
Needed a quick bite and found this jewel of a place. Their lobster empanadas hit the spot ! They were stuffed with lobster, and very flavorful. The sauce complemented the empanadas very well. Everything was fresh and the service was friendly and quick. We sat outside as there is not seating inside. The day was perfect. Will be back to try other items and more of these amazing empanadas!
On a tip from a friend who is a chef, we went here for lunch on a Saturday. It's a seafood wholesaler that also sells seafood to regular consumers and also serves lunch (M-Sat). The eatery is in a warehouse area but there was plenty of parking. The ordering counter is pretty small and is inside where the menu and specials are listed. You can also order seafood to go and cook at home. There's a sign on the door that says only 4 people inside at a time but it wasn't crowded for ordering so we got right in. There's a regular menu as well as a daily specials menu. After ordering and picking drinks (cans and bottles only), we went outside to wait. It looked like all the outside picnic tables were full but I asked a couple if we could sit with them as the table was large enough for us to all sit and still feel separated. Luckily, it was one of the tables with an umbrella because it was pretty hot in the sun. We actually waited a pretty long time for our food as I realized that while all the tables were full, almost no one had food. I guess we picked a bad time after a crowd had come in. Every few minutes, one of the employees would open the serving window and then yell out 3 to 4 names to pick up their food. Finally after 45 minutes, our name was called. My husband got fried scallops, about 6 of them, with fries and slaw, and I got the Maine Lobster Roll but substituted Hush Puppies for my fries and slaw. We thought the portions were small but after eating everything, I'd say it was just right. My roll was buttery and perfectly toasted and there were big pieces of lobster meat. And the hush puppies were yummy. It's funny because after leaving, we were thinking we might not go back because of the wait and the portion sizes but we are already planning on going back because the food is so good.
We came to Bar Harbor Monday the day before Christmas Eve! Our daughter really wanted Oysters and this year and we had no clue where to even purchase raw oysters. When you come to this spot at least during the holidays you're going to be met with a line out the door to the market. They will service everyone all the way to the minute of close. We bought the canned jumbo lump crab and a dozen oysters. Both were the stars of our Christmas meal! We can't wait to try out some of their cooked items because it truly feels like a true in the wall ordering through a window and eating at a wooden picnic table outside the facility! All in all we're super fortunate to have this spot in Orlando and I'm really looking forward to patronizing this spot more often!
Place has high quality seafood and great service, but the lobster roll should be called Lobster Toast it's literally on a piece of toast not for the price sorry I'll get the fish and chips looks more wholesome.

Bad because...well it's seafood, but good because that's how you know you're about to have some fresh food! Once you head inside to the lunch counter you can view a menu of their options and specials for the day. I opted for the standard Maine lobster roll which comes with coleslaw and a side. I typically like my rolls to be hot/warm but this roll was probably one of the best cold lobster rolls I've had! The service was friendly, despite how busy they were. If I'm in the area again I'd definitely go back!
Restaurant seafood supply distribution center that is open to the public with a small restaurant. They offer Outside seating and super Friendly service. I brought my dog with me. You can order from the meat counter and they have lots of frozen or fresh fish to choose from. I got some yellowfin tuna and swordfish to go with it They also have a s mall menu that changes weekly. The clam chowder was AMAZING! They have a lunch special for 2 steamed lobsters for $21. It was well cooked but the Lobster lacked flavor. I also got a Lobster roll and it was just ok. Nothing special, but not bad. I will definitely be back for the chowder and more seafood.
My first time here was amazing I had to comeback and try some other menu items. This time we ordered the Garlic Lobster Roll and the lunch special of Grilled Tuscan Salmon. We came on a weekend this time and it was such a beautiful day to eat outside on the picnic table. You have to wait a little for the food but that's only because it's being freshly prepared and cooked. The lobster roll was perfect! It had some of the freshest lobster I've ever had and good chunks of meat. The bread was toasted and hot and the lobster wasn't cold at all. The grilled Tuscan salmon tasted super fresh and was tender. The sauce it had was delicious and flavor. One thing I love about Bar Harbor is that their food is always fresh, delicious, and a great price!
Love the outdoor seating. The fried shrimp was tasty but could have had more seasoning. My partner loved his Maine lobster roll and said it was very flavorful and the bread was toasted perfectly. The fries were crispy and the corn was sweet and tasty. The server didn't seem too happy to give us the extra ketchup we asked for after only giving us 2 little packets for 2 whole fry sides. Very nice little dive spot though otherwise.
My favorite hidden gem. I found this spot a few years back and love both their seafood counter and lunch. All of the food is fresh and the fish and chips are lightly fried. The lobster rolls have a decent amount of lobster. I've definitely had a hit or miss but overall it usually is still a good deal. I recommend following their Facebook so you can see different specials they offer for the week. The employees here are really nice and answer all my questions. Whenever there's a new fish I definitely like to ask what way they recommend cooking it and then trying it at home. They haven't steered me wrong yet. Shout out to the employees here! The market is a little small. I like how you can ask for a bag of ice so you can keep your fish fresh on the way home. Make sure to check out their freezer areas to find exotic meats.

Wow if you don't care about the ambiance, And Just Want Fresh Delicious seafood Lunch !! This is the place !! I got lobster bisque & a Lobster roll !!! BOTH WERE FANTASTIC. !! Fresh clean eating !! Hubby had fried Clams and said they were REALLY good !! If you go to their website you can sign up for "Special Newsletter". We adore fresh fish & shell fish - We used to go to whol foo-s for our fish wants ! This Seafood Market is Closer and much better priced !! If you go for lunch - note you'll be eating out at picnic tables Or in your car ! You may wait to get your order ( most we've waited was 14 mins). It does get busy ! BUT SO WORTH IT !! Food is tasteless and portion is small. Blackened salmon was also dry. Canned veggies and parboiled rice. It's very clean so if you want to buy your own fish and cook at home I assume it's a better experience. go to happy snapper if you want delicious, affordable and fresh sea food! read more

First time here, although I have passed here many times and have seen people having lunch. I ordered the clamp chowder and grill salmon with vegetables. Both were excellent. I will definitely go back and do recommend this place read more

First time visiting this establishment. Won't be the last. Huge facility and distribution center with an impressive fleet of delivery trucks. The actual retail space is relatively small. They limit the number of customers allowed inside at any given moment. Nice variety of seafood and sauces and other "goodies" for sale in the retail space. A lot more available for order besides what is readily available in the case. The lobster roll was fantastic!! I wanted another immediately. I also got some lobster meat and crab legs for dinner. There was a time several years ago when I stumbled onto Bar Harbor Seafood "Wholesale to the Public Retail Market." I couldn't have been more excited to find a local take out counter where I could get my fill of Lobster Rolls. A near perfect copy of Red's Eats here in Orlando. Bar Harbor offered it all. Either for a picnic lunch or take home these were pure perfection of lobster meat served on a big grilled top-cut hot dog bun. Along with the roll came fresh hot french fries and creamy coleslaw. It might be 1600 miles from Bar Harbor Maine but here in Orlando was a source of fresh ocean goodness. Today all this came to a screeching end when I unwrapped my lobster rolls picked up at Bar Harbor this afternoon. Now I warn you, stay away. They have completely ruined the lobster roll. No longer chunks of Lobster meat it's mashed goop on a little 5in roll. There was absolutely no resemblance to Maine Lobster except the pinkish white color of the mash. French Fries no longer real but now an extruded potato like items and accompanied with a cup of bitter coleslaw. Bah Humbug ! read more

Cooked, whole New england lobsters. They sell individuals for $6.95. They have a deal of buy 5 get 6th for free. So we bought 6. They are small, barely legal. But, in Florida, beggars can't be choosy. They aren't bad but, for someone who grew up in new england, they don't quite measure up. It's hard to complain at this price. But I'd rather pay more and get a great lobster. Stay away from their whole belly clams. They are small, nothing like what you'd get up north. We tried them here a couple of years ago and ate outside at the picnic benches and ended up walking back to the counter to get our money back. We figured it's been a few years, we'll give it another shot. NOPE! We took them home this time and opened up the takeout container too great disappointment. Very small belly. Almost like Strips. Mainly bits and pieces, crums of cooked batter. We won't make this mistake again. Again, I'd rather pay more and get a great fried clam. Go to Kelly's Roast Beef in Sarasota instead. read more

This place is very cool, it's a wholesaler with a walk up lunch counter inside the retail store. The food was cheap and delicious. It's very much no frills, you pay inside and then they call you to a window to pick it up in styrofoam containers and eat at picnic benches on the patio. Everything we had was fresh and delicious, even the coleslaw tasted freshly made. I think the conch fritters were my favorite though. read more

It's okay, basic and to be honest I feel like I didn't miss anything special. It's just enough to fill you but it's not anything that wowed me to come again unless I'm in the area and having a serious hankering for this kind of seafood. I hate to give bad/decent ratings but I just have to be honest. The people there were nice and honest about the menu which I appreciate, outside of that, everything else was average. read more

Hello. Will you be carrying stone crab claws this season. Season opens in October 15 so when would they be in stock if you do plan on selling them?
Hello, RB. Yes indeed we will definitely carry stone crab claws this season. Typically we receive our first batch of claws within a couple of days from the start of the season. We will post about their arrival to our market on our Facebook page.
Are they taking EBT currently?
I have no idea, the couple of times I went I just bought lunch not any of the fresh seafood. I'm sure if you call them they will let you know.
Any idea what they charge for Whole Maine lobster by the pound to take home and cook? Thanks!
