Try this famous food after my grocery shopping at H-Mart. They are located in the food court of H-Mart. I love their Jajangmyeon. The noodle is al dente combined with delicious black beans sauce. The sauce has little chunks of pork and vegetables. My partner likes their jajang rice which is basically the same black beans sauce but serve with white rice and shrimp omelette for the topping. It's also come with jjamppong which is spicy seafood soup. We also like their sweet and sour pork. We request for the sauce to be separated so the pork still crispy when we eat it together with our meal. The staff is not really knowledgeable but thankfully, the owner is there to help out. The service is fast. It's always crowded on the weekends and might be hard to find a seat during lunch time. But definitely will be back for the jajangmyeon!! read more

Founded by Chef Jong Won Paik, Paik's Noodles brings the flavors of Korea and China to your table. With hundreds of locations worldwide, this location is in the food court of the new H-Mart in Orlando, Florida. Since they've only been only a few months, this location as well as the food court was packed! It shares an open seating area where ironically today a very good 70's rock cover band was entertaining the crowd. It was a little chaotic, but you basically line up, place your order, given a ticket number and wait. Now you have a chance to wander around and check out the other food stalls and when your number is called, get your food and have a seat. When you're done, they'd like you to return your used bowls and utensils to their specific stall where there's a spot for you to place your tray. Paik's menu located on the wall behind and above the front counter, was not a robust as the other food vendors around, but it was enough. They of course had their specialty Jajangmyeon noodles with savory black bean sauce, but aside from a few others, this location may hopefully add additional items in the future. Dustin tried the Sweet and Sour pork. He got a large portion of about 15 pieces of fried pork. The sauce was served in a separate container so it was up to you if you wanted to pour it onto the pork or dip the pork. I heard no complaints from Dustin as he ate cleaned off his plate. I tried the Jjamppong. It was a large bowl filled with egg noodes, pieces of ground pork, squid, mussels and veggies drowned in a spicy red soup. The soup had a nice kick and complimented the seafood well. Finally I got an order of their fried dumplings. The 8 pieces of dumplings were larger than your typically sized dumplings, filled with minced pork and veggies, they were lightly pan fried and were outstanding! The only "sauce" offering they had was soy sauce which is a shame for such delicious dumplings. My recommendation is if they some nice sauce options, they'll find those dumplings flying off their shelves. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this Paik's for a meal before heading to the H-Mart to shop. read more

Stopped in for lunch and after looking at all the stations I ended up picking Paik's Noodles. I ordered the sweet and sour pork for 17.95. When it came out I was very disappointed. First no rice or any sides came out with it. Second the sweet and sour sauce had a weird after taste. A buddy who came with me ordered the sweet and sour chicken and paid the same with lest food and no sides. I'm next time I will be skipping over this spot and trying another location out. read more

Came here during our first visit to H Mart. We wanted to hit the food court and try to get a little something from each little stall. Well, Paik didn't have anything little on their menu, so we ordered the Jjamppong (Spicy noodle soup with pork, squid, mussels and vegetables). First of all, I wanted to let you know that this was not spicy. The owners know their audience and wouldn't sell anything too spicy unless it was too the right customer. If you get my meaning. The spicy flavor that this soup offered was very pleasant and the broth was very slurpable. There was a surprising amount of seafood in the soup, and it wasn't all overcooked. Lovely little squid, nice-sized mussels, and nice little strips of pork. Along with the tons and tons of cabbage and noodles, this was a very hearty meal. I will be back. read more

This noodle shop is in the food court at the new H Mart in Orlando. It was pretty busy, but the service was fast. My daughter asked for the black bean noodles. I got them spicy, since she likes spice. I had to take them home an hour, but kept them in an insulated cooler. They got home hot and fresh. She said they were very good, but she said she would prefer the regular, not spicy next time. She said the spice sort of drown out the savoryness of the black bean. So if you like it hot and spicy, go spicy. Otherwise, go with the regular black bean, which offers no spice. The seafood soup bowl looked amazing coming out of the kitchen. I've been to other Paik's Noodles locations and really liked their dishes, so maybe it's just a case of this one still being pretty new. But the dish fell a little short of my expectations. The jajangmyeon was super watery. Like in general, I expect like a paste or at least thicker sauce to cover the noodles, but there was like straight up soup at the bottom of the bowl. The flavor was decent though, I'm glad we got rice for extra on the side to soak it up. Our friend got the chili jajangmyeon though, and that one seemed a lot better. Probably the best Paik's location I have tasted in the US so far including LA! This location is comparable to the ones I tried in Korea. The key to good jajangmein is the sauce has to stick to the noodles and the sauce needs to have depth and umami which this one had. I also had the jampbong which was good but lacked seafood. The broth was delicious. Next time I would like to try other dishes on their menu. If you have never tried either dish give this location a try. They have friendly service and descent prices. Since this is a new Hmart location it was crowded on Saturday. The food court has other restaurants but Paik's is the place to go to. read more

I came in for a quick dinner and had a good experience. The staff were fast and efficient. I got the Japjangmyeon, which consisted of udon noodles in a rich black bean sauce. The noodles were bouncy and well cooked. The sauce was rich and savory with onions, cabbage, and some pork. I wish there was more protein and that the noodles were hotter when I got them, but it was very tasty. I felt like the price was a little high considering there wasn't a protein aside from some crumbles of pork in the sauce, but the experience was worth it. I would definitely get this again. Went to the new Hmart and saw this place and knew I had to try it. Got the chili jajangmyeon and omg it was so good. The chilis were perfect, the sauce was well balanced, and the noodles were out of this world. It lasted me 3 meals for the price and was worth every penny. The ladies working there were so nice and helpful, I got everything I needed and went to my seat, then when I was done I took my tray back and got a to go cup. The jiajiangmyeon was delicious; it wasn't too hot so it was easy to devour it quickly. I was really looking forward to trying Paik's Noodles, especially the jjampong (짬뽕) since it's usually one of my favorite comfort dishes--bold, spicy, packed with seafood, and full of flavor. Unfortunately, it fell super short this time. The broth lacked depth, the spice was almost nonexistent, and overall it just didn't have that rich, smoky, savory kick that jjampong is known for. The noodles themselves had a nice texture, but the broth just didn't match. The wait was also long (super crowded and loud since it is in a food court in H Mart), and with it being a newer spot and very busy, I'm hoping the quality improves as they settle in. But as of now, it honestly wasn't worth the hype. I wanted to love it, but the flavor and spice level just missed the mark for me. After watching so many Korean TV programs and seeing numerous times about the Korean Chinese food, I finally had the opportunity to try it at Paik's Noodles at the H Mart Orlando food court. Many people probably didn't know this is a franchise chain restaurant from celebrity chef Paik Jon Won who appeared on Netflix show Culinary Class Wars. I ordered the Jajangmyeon, sweet and sour pork with special, and Crispy steamed buns. With a lemonade the total was $40. Definitely a bit high priced for food court but portions were big enough to share between two adults so I felt I did get my money worth. The sweet and sour pork was great but the Jajangmyeon was a bit let down, maybe because my expectations were too high. The black bean sauce was too watery and I wished there was more pork in it. Overall I will recommend others to try this, I probably will find another day to go again and try their Jjamppong. read more

I ordered the jajangmyeon for the second time and both times were solid. Noodles are nicely cooked so they are not mushy and the sauce is good with many bits of meat and vegetables.
