Jajangmyeon - average flavor smaller portion than most other places at the same price.
    Jeff Y.

my first experience here was disappointing the portion was smaller and the flavors were just OK. I'm actually surprise the rating is so high for this place, it was just average for me. I order Jajangmyeon a lot where ever O can so my standards might be a bit higher than most. I suggest to try other places for this dish. I can't say I'd order this dish here again.

Pros: Very conveniently located right in the new H Mart in town. Surrounded by so much other great food, it doesn't get much better than this. The soup we got was incredible. So full of delicious broth and veggies and seafood. I don't usually like soup, so the fact that this place has a soup I like was awesome. Cons: No real cons. They had a limited menu, because they just opened, so be wary. Tips: Get the soup! It's not too spicy. Don't worry.

This noodle shop is in the food court at the new H Mart in Orlando. It was pretty busy, but the service was fast. My daughter asked for the black bean noodles. I got them spicy, since she likes spice. I had to take them home an hour, but kept them in an insulated cooler. They got home hot and fresh. She said they were very good, but she said she would prefer the regular, not spicy next time. She said the spice sort of drown out the savoryness of the black bean. So if you like it hot and spicy, go spicy. Otherwise, go with the regular black bean, which offers no spice. The seafood soup bowl looked amazing coming out of the kitchen. I will definitely give that a try next time we're there.

The best jajangmein compared to other Paik's locations
    Tom S.

Probably the best Paik's location I have tasted in the US so far including LA! This location is comparable to the ones I tried in Korea. The key to good jajangmein is the sauce has to stick to the noodles and the sauce needs to have depth and umami which this one had. I also had the jampbong which was good but lacked seafood. The broth was delicious. Next time I would like to try other dishes on their menu. If you have never tried either dish give this location a try. They have friendly service and descent prices. Since this is a new Hmart location it was crowded on Saturday. The food court has other restaurants but Paik's is the place to go to.

I've been to other Paik's Noodles locations and really liked their dishes, so maybe it's just a case of this one still being pretty new. But the dish fell a little short of my expectations. The jajangmyeon was super watery. Like in general, I expect like a paste or at least thicker sauce to cover the noodles, but there was like straight up soup at the bottom of the bowl. The flavor was decent though, I'm glad we got rice for extra on the side to soak it up. Our friend got the chili jajangmyeon though, and that one seemed a lot better. Less watery and a better flavor!

Considering Paik Jong Won is such a popular chef, i was excited to try the food here. Unfortunately I went during opening and it did not meet expectations as the flavors were lacking. Hopefully it's gotten better since then!

I absolutely love their creamy shrimp! It's tasty, filling and satisfying! They're located in H-Mart! H-Mart also has a large array of fish in their seafood grocery section, it's super cool!

Definitely a good portion for $15! I got the jajang rice. It was yummy but the sauce was a little overpowering so I couldn't finish it. The soup that came with it was yummy but too spicy for me!

This was my first time trying jjamppong and I was blown away! The soup was so flavorful with the perfect amount of spice, and it was filling but not heavy. It was also a huge bowl so I had plenty of leftovers. I can't wait to order this again! Fun food court atmosphere inside of Hmart.

#3 on the menu and was absolutely delicious!!

Excellent place to eat! The portions are huge and the taste is amazing!! If you're looking for great flavor and worth your money, check this place out! Enough to share!!

I came in for a quick dinner and had a good experience. The staff were fast and efficient. I got the Japjangmyeon, which consisted of udon noodles in a rich black bean sauce. The noodles were bouncy and well cooked. The sauce was rich and savory with onions, cabbage, and some pork. I wish there was more protein and that the noodles were hotter when I got them, but it was very tasty. I felt like the price was a little high considering there wasn't a protein aside from some crumbles of pork in the sauce, but the experience was worth it. I would definitely get this again. It's also a great option for people that don't like spice.

The food court at HMart is amazing. There's a ton of options so it can be hard to choose. If you're not sure what to get I would highly recommend jajangmyeon from Paik's noodles. The noodles were cooked to perfection and the sauce was so good. Definitely a must try if you're at the Hmart food court

    #1 - jiajiangmyeon and #2 - chili jiajiangmyeon
    Vivian Y.

This location is found inside H-Mart's food court; the food took a bit to be ready, but with the influx of people currently, it was understandable! The jiajiangmyeon was delicious; it wasn't too hot so it was easy to devour it quickly. I really enjoyed the flavor of the sauce, and the pork pieces were big in comparison to other jiajiangmyeon I've had in orlando so far. The pickled radish were nice to have in between to refresh the palate.

Highlights for sure was the calamari which was perfectly cooked and crispy, Peking duck was spot on and skin was perfect with juicy meat. Wonton was house made you can tell and it was awesome. I was disappointed with the steamed oyster as it was well cooked but the taste overall was just not for me. Lobster was also a let down. You could tell it was frozen or not too fresh. The meat was sticking to the shell which is a tell tale sign Overall a stellar meal , I would just avoid some of the dishes above but otherwise it was great

Besides that I really loved the chee cheong fun with xo sauce and the fried shrimp balls. Maybe because we went on a Monday they didn't do the dim sum carts which I love. But then again, the restaurant isn't too big so I feel like they usually don't do the carts. But this is a way to ensure all the food you're getting is fresh though! I do wish the dim sum menu was a little more varied. I feel like a few staples that I normally gravitate towards weren't there. But there was still enough to have a good filling meal.

Mandarin Egg Tofu - Egg tofu is very delicious and is similar to silken tofu consistency and this dish is delicious. It has pork strips, enoki mushrooms , mini corn, snap peas, green onions. The egg tofu is fried first and once you bite into it its very tender and silky smooth texture and kind of creamy. This is my favorite tofu. The house sauce is a big brown based sauce. The snap peas seemed a little overcooked losing its bite and crunchy texture nonetheless still a memorable delicious dish. This would be a great vegetarian dish if you opt out the pork strips, Fish Filet with Black Bean Sauce - This is usually served or listed on the menu as a rice plate dish. I usually eat this dining in and its a delicious plate entree. They use Swai filets for this dish. For $1 extra you can order it as a dish with rice on the side and you get more fish filets etc separate. This is a lightly battered fish filets fried and topped with house brown sauce with slithers of onions and red / green bell peppers. Of course the brown sauce is black bean sauce so you will see speckles of black beans with the sauce. There are ginger notes as well when you devour this dish. The fish filets are cooked perfectly so soft and tender. The rice served here can be better imo. Perhaps better brand or grain rice? Also ordered my regulars ; Walnut Shrimp, Beef Chow Fun. Walnut Shrimp - Request ordering this (take out only) having the broccoli stored separately. This provides the shrimp dish to not be soggy. I think you get more shrimps this way too. Tasty Wok's walnut shrimp is by far the best in orlando imo - they really seasoned the shrimp itself prior to dressing it with their creamy sauce. The sauce has a tad sweetness to it & some sort of umami. The shrimps are jumbo large sized. You get about 10-12? Shrimps in this dish. I have had my share of tasting this dish at different restaurants and by far Tasty Wok's is by far my favorite. Beef Chow Fun - Another favorite from Tasty Wok. Wok Hei present, Tender seasoned beef thinly sliced, and Tender wide noodles. It was under seasoned salt wise but eating it with their creamy sauce seasoned beef makes up for it. Again, ate my share of Beef Chow Fun at many restaurants and by far Tasty Wok's have been my favorite thus far. They offer free mini tubs of chili oil upon request. Also chopsticks. Tasty wok do not seem busy dining in but they are busy with take out orders.

The staff were friendly and prompt. We came around late lunch and it was picking up after we were seated. The space is wide and has the old traditional Chinese restaurant aesthetics with a slight modernization. You can see all the crispy meats hanging at the front counter like a traditional shop. We ordered the Shrimp Wonton Soup with Egg Noodles. My go-to for comfort food. I've been a customer since college days and they make one of the best shrimp wontons. I know they've tweaked the recipe a little since the shrimp filling used to be ground up, which was better, but it didn't take away from the freshness. The broth is consistently flavorful with fresh greens and egg noodles. I somehow like the texture of the noodles more than the spaghetti size ones. We ordered the Crispy pork Belly and Duck combo which is really well seasoned. Some bites may be a little salty but it balances out with the rice. You can hear the crunch on the pork belly which is my favorite. We also got the Beef Chow Fun. It's wide noodles and cooked with scallions, beansprouts, and white onions. It was cooked over a flame so you can taste a hint of a char which is not overwhelming or greasy. It's the perfect balance to all the items. What I didn't order was the Water Spinach but it is one of my favorite vegetable dishes. You have to try it when it's available! I had hot tea with it and lots of hot chili oil in my dishes! I am happy they have remained pretty consistent in the dishes. Only on a couple occasions it was off but not many times. There's a small parking lot and plenty of street parking. They share it with other popular spots like Haan Coffee, Sampaguita, etc.

Fortunately I called at 9:10 to let them know we were on the way, and they told us they'd allow us to dine in. I appreciate that. The menu is pretty big. Prices are really good for the portion and all entrees come with rice. Can't beat that. I didn't see any noodle soups on the menu but I saw on Yelp someone had a duck noodle soup so we asked if this was offered. They said they could do it. The broth and noodles were good but the duck tasted a little old. We eat a lot of duck so we're kind of picky, but I think for most people, this would be just fine. We also ordered the honey walnut shrimp, mongolian beef, and beef chow fun. The shrimps were really big, lightly battered, but they smothered the dish in that mayo sauce lol Once you wipe off some of the mayo, it's pretty good though. I loved that they served this with steamed broccoli cause greens ya know? And they offered a good amount of walnuts for that crunch. The mongolian beef was delicious and while there were a lot of onions, there was also a lot of tender beef. The flavor was good, not too sweet, not too salty, and not spicy either, despite all the dried peppers. Beef chow fun was a hit. You can really taste the smoky wok hei flavor which makes it authentic. The beef was tender, the ho fun noodles whole and intact. Paired with their chili oil, so good! The chili oil is upon request only, they don't leave it on the table. Be warned, it does have a nice heat to it!. Service was prompt and courteous. For $71, we were able to have a quick, tasty dinner for 3.5 people (3 adults, one 5 year old). Can't beat that.
