2025 Dec - Myung Ga Special Rice
    Wendy C.

Niiiiice What? I got the combo meal and also their fried rice special. The combo meal was a main side and any soup. I love that you are able to pick any of the soups on their soup menu vs just the tofu soup! I picked the duk manguduk soup, non-spicy. The soup still had a strong black pepper kick to it! the pork was also quite good. If you pick the mind soup, it doesn't come with rice and you need to buy that separately, which I did. I do think as a combo, the soup is the meal and the meat dish is the side. I was very surprised that the soup was a big bowl! Definitely enough for 2 people. The special fried rice was also good. The egg was a bit more cooked when it got to me, but still good. The bulgogi meat was also nice and tender. I wish that they allow for other meat options on the rice. This would be the ultimate menu! Environment Located inside Hmar, this restaurant always seem to be the hit! There was a long line. The seating is shared with other restaurants and this can get very busy especially on weekends.. this is where I wish they have the same rules as the asian places, reserve the table and seat with your items. The unspoken rule hasn't arrived yet. Niceness of the staff The person taking my order was very nice and patient. I love that she repeated the order and she was patient as I asked the customizing questions. Dollar It was decent for the combo, it was $26 and the fried rice was around 24$ Note: they don't accept 50 and 100 dollar bills. Yes I would, the menu was extensive and I think it is worth.

Bibimbap - honestly the taste was OK the potion is smaller and looks nothing like the pictured menu

My wife told me not to try "The Bibimbap" here but I did it anyways so now she can say " I told you so" she knew foodcourt version would be disappointing to me. The Bibimbap was average taste wise. The rice didn't crisp as it should and it looked nothing like the picture up on the menu.

    Jeyuk Bokkeum- spicy pork

So overall, I would say this place was really good. I got the Jeyuk Bokkeuk, which is the spicy pork. The flavor of the sauce on the meat was delicious. It was spicy, but not crazy spicy so you couldn't eat it. And it really did taste delicious. And the rice was very good too, the exact right texture and stickiness that you would want. The only reason I'm giving it four stars instead of five is because the meat was pretty fatty. And with the heavy sauce on there, it was pretty much impossible to tell what was fat and what was meat before putting it in your mouth. I'd like to see it a little more lean. But otherwise, it was very good.

Korean army stew was piping hot, spicy, and flavorful. The sauce was thick and a bit salty but good. The favorite was the chicken and rice. Long wait to get our food, busy but lots of seating.

We came here for my husband's birthday. He loves Korean and we had tried to come here years ago but…read moreit was too packed out. For this night we arrived at 5:45pm, right before the dinner rush hit. We did the Bite30 menu and between the 2 of us we had the deep fried beef dumplings, the buldak (spicy chicken), the Korean bbq combo, beef tongue, and for dessert we had the bungeopang and the hotteok. Everything was so delicious! Our waiter, Andy, was really really sweet and basically cooked the first tray of bbq for us and told us how he likes to use the banchan. He and my husband, who is Spanish, chatted about struggling to eat their culture's food growing up, which made me feel a little better about ordering my kid's chicken nuggets. We basically let him choose all of our food and he was spot on with all of his recs. If you can sit in Andy's section when you come, you must!!

My favorite meal of all time is Bibim Naengmyeon. I specifically came to try theirs out. I've had it at many restaurants, and have my own preferences on it. I'm unsure the official way it should be made or prepared, so this is only based off my preference. Theirs was chilly but not cold. For example, the apple slices were room temp, but the bowl was cold to touch. It didn't have ice in it, and the noodles were very chewy like japchae. So chewy that it was difficult to bite. They did provide scissors for this reason and the waitress cut it up a bit at the table before serving. The taste was fabulous. The classic flavor we know and love. I will definitely order it again even though it doesn't fully meet my personal preferences of ice and less chewy noodles. My table also got the dumplings and the dumpling ramen. Both were delicious. The lack of a star is for the service and the smell of the place. The smell wasn't of pleasant food, more like dirty dish water. I'm hoping this was a fluke. The service was dismissive, but efficient. I was ignored to my face, but I'm not too upset because everything came out fast and fine. I know this might bothers others though.

I got tempura that was coconut shrimp and sweet potato, corn cheese Rangoon and I got gochujang wings. Everything was fresh, super crispy, and had really good flavor. The wings came with crispy tteok and I loved that paired with the wings as well. I had my miso soup after as a cleanser and it was really refreshing. My daughter had chicken fritter with rice which really was just chicken tenders. They were cooked well and she enjoyed them. My parents had dolsot bibimbap which they said was pretty good. The sauce wasn't that spicy to them though. Overall it was a 8.5/10 for me.

We went there last night with our two kids and had a very disappointing experience…read more We ordered two orders of bulgogi, one kimchi fried rice with bulgogi on cold bowl, and one kids' meal. We waited around one hour, and the waiter kept telling us that our food was "almost done." When the food finally came, my husband's cold bowl was still missing, so we had to share the food we received. The bulgogi was extremely watery and tasted like it had a lot of MSG. On top of that, our waiter forgot our drinks, so I had to remind him. I also had to ask another waitress for utensils. Meanwhile, another table that arrived about 20 minutes after us received their food before we did. The waiter never checked on us or seemed to care about the situation. Given the poor service and long wait, we decided we were not going to leave a tip. At the end, he gave us an $18 discount, which we appreciated as at least an attempt to address the situation, although we were still very unhappy. But then things got even worse. The menu clearly stated that an automatic gratuity applies to parties of 5 or more. We were a party of 4, so that policy did not apply to us. However, when we paid with our credit card, we noticed that a $19 tip had been added automatically even though we had not authorized or agreed to leave a tip. After that, the waiter and waitress were nowhere to be found. We were exhausted and had two kids with us, so we decided to leave rather than spend even more time dealing with the situation. This entire experience was frustrating from beginning to end -- extremely slow service, missing food, forgotten drinks and utensils, poor food quality, and an unexpected tip added to our credit card despite the menu's stated automatic gratuity policy. Unfortunately, never again.
