This place has been consistently good to me for the last 3 years or so. They have had to modify their business to carryout only, so hopefully they weren't hit too hard from Covid. This place offers your typical NY style Chinese food. However it doesn't seem to be the same generic, over-sauced, frozen food you get at majority of those places. The food always seems to have fresh veggies, and doesn't leave your mouth feeling petrified from preservatives. The family is very sweet, and kind. I was a regular at Andy Nice House for over 20 years. I ordered recently. It would seem they changed ownership or management. They got my order wrong. The portion was substantially smaller. The food was completely different. Not good at all. I'm so heartbroken over this. We will start looking for somewhere new to eat. Not going back. read more

I ordered the beef with broccoli and vegetable egg roll. The egg roll was good, but the beef in the dish tasted as if it had gone bad. It had the smell and flavor of beef that has lost all of its pink coloring because it is on the edge of expiration. I still would give them another chance and order something else, but I was really disappointed in the quality of meat. read more

When I need a place for comfort food I go to Andy Nice House Restaurant. I have been going to Andy's for over 10 years. A friend took me about 17 years ago and told me it was her favorite place. I find it to be the best in the area. I take my friends and love the 70s look. At least to me it feels like a 70s look. The staff is so nice. It's mostly a take out restaurant but I like to go and sit down. I love the pan fried dumplings, egg drop soup and the several of their plates. Not only is this place better than Pearl's, (if you're looking for authentic Chinese take out, and I'm from the North East), But it's less expensive and the staff is SUPER friendly! While on vacation, we stopped in a plaza in search for food. I saw the bright "CHINESE FOOD" sign lit and I decided to venture in. The decor is outdated, yet as I said to my companion, "It's non-threatening." We were seated immediately and offered drinks - the menu is fantastic with plenty to choose from. We decided on items from the lunch specials and added a few appetizers in also (very cheap!) I ordered hot tea and it was okay - I think the pot it was in was old, because it tasted a bit funky. The soups (egg drop and wonton) were both delicious!! All in all, for two people, we ate under $25 for lunch and had plenty of leftovers. While the inside is a bit dated (to put it nicely), this is my go-to spot for Chinese takeout. The food is pretty spot-on. The egg rolls are double wrapped, giving them an extra crunch. The broccoli with garlic sauce is a huge portion with just the right amount of heat. The big standout for me, however, are their dumplings. The vegetable dumplings are vegetarian and come with one of the most delicious dipping sauces I've ever had. Will keep going back. read more

Consistently "marginally okay". For a half a dozen or so years many many of us from an office building place orders at lunch time (11 to 3). Andys is consistent in shorting us at least one or two egg rolls or a soup from every bunch of orders we place: we place one call for anywhere from five to ten orders at a time. And this is throughout our company (of seventy people). Often times what we get is soured meat (beef/broccoli) and or soured rice, mushy rice. Along with our missing egg roll. Often lately, someone in thee group asks for pork-fried-rice rather than "rice" and they get a couple finely finely finely diced pieces of pork tossed on the top of "rice". It not a matter of us not wanting to pay for pork in the rice; we gladly will pay an extra buck or so....and have been charged "loose-change" recently however (we had a sprinkling of finely diced pork). Why do we get this lousy food? to get an unfit lunch for whatever the reason is getting pretty old. And, they put items like our egg rolls all in one bag- causing us, the customer, to hunt thru the offices to find out "who ordered an egg roll". Very disappointed. I decided to return to Andy Nice House and place a $50.00 order for delivery on a Wednesday (7:00pm). When I got home 45 minutes later the food had not arrived. I called, was put on hold because the lady had to check on my order. I was told the driver had lots of delivery on there's a lot of traffic. Amazing food. I went here for the first time after being told it's the best Chinese around. The atmosphere was quiet, not a lot of people when I went, but the place was clean, and the decor was fun. The food was absolutely delicious, it came pretty quickly, and the portions for a single person was like a dinner for two. The crab rangoon, steamed dumplings, and egg drop soup were the best I ever had. My main meal, general tsaos chicken was really good, not soft or mushy, and not an over amount of breading.
