Chicken satay and vegetable summer rolls
    Arun K.

I have visited Thai Thani near SeaWorld before. While the prices were quite expensive, we enjoyed the food and entertainment. When I learned there was a branch in Dr Phillips area, we had to visit. We went on a Wednesday evening, and came in about 45 minutes before closing. We were still welcomed in. My dad and his friend had a sake, while I sticked with water. We ordered some appetizers before dinner. My favorites were the crab rangoons, and the vegetable spring roll, which both were nicely fried. The crab rangoons had imitation crab meat, but still enjoyed the nice fish and other fillings inside. The spring roll had a nice amount of vegetable and were crispy. We also had vegetable summer roll, which was a bit bland and had tofu, but still fresh and the dipping sauce helped. I enjoyed the chicken satay more which were in skewers and tender. For our entrees, we did the duck noodles, 1.5 pound fried whole fish (snapper I believe), and vegetable penang curry. Since only two small white rice only included, we also ordered pineapple fried rice as a side. I enjoyed the duck noodles the most, which had crispy, yet still tender duck on soft flat noodles. The requested hot spice level was perfect for the heat. My mom's penang was a bit too mild for me (it was medium spiced level), but still delicious with the creamy sauce and good amount of vegetables. The fish was quite crispy since it was fried, and hard to pick with the bones, but still worth the effort. We couldn't leave without dessert, so we did the fried ice cream, banana delight with coconut ice cream, and sticky rice with mango. We enjoyed them all, but my favorite had to be the banana delight with the banana covered in dough that is deep fried with honey on top. It was put in coconut ice cream, which had the perfect nutty flavor. I won't lie, but I hogged most of that dessert. The fried ice cream came a close second, and the mango with sticky rice coming third. There was nothing fancy with the mango, but it was sweet and ripe. The sticky rice was enjoyable as it wasn't too sweet. After all that food, I am pretty sure we all gained a few pounds. While the atmosphere was not as fancy and dining area wasn't as large as the one in SeaWorld, it was still nicely decorated and ample amount of space for patrons to dine. I didn't see outdoor seating or a bar seating either, so it was dining in the main area only. The music was smooth jazz, which made me miss the old WLOQ radio station. The service is the main highlight. The went above and beyond to accommodate us, even though we stayed almost an hour after closing time. I falsely assumed they closed at 10:30, which is actually the SeaWorld branch. Since this branch is smaller, they close at 9 (9:30 during weekend). They still served everything with a smile and accommodated us till we finished almost at 10. With the service alone, that will make me want to come back! After all the food and drinks, we paid about 232 dollars after taxes and 20 percent tip. For a Thai restaurant near the tourist area, I found the prices to be quite reasonable. The most expensive dish was the fish (I believe a little over 50 dollars), which was still worth it. This is located in the Fountains At Dr. Phillips strip mall, where Ruth Chris, Voodoo Bayou, and The Whiskey Sea. I believe it replaced a previous Thai restaurant about 3 years ago. This is a great Thai restaurant in the Dr. Phillips area to go with friends and family.

Thai Thani is a great spot where the food always comes out quickly and with tons of flavor. The menu is huge too - maybe too many choices, but I've been able to find new things to try during each time I've visited. For a classic dish, the Pad Thai is great, classic and easy. The dish is very flavorful and quite big, I don't think you can leave hungry once you get this. The Pad see ew is also the same, tons of food and full of flavor. Out of both dishes, I would have prefer to get the Pad Thai and skip the Pad See Ew, not that it was bad, but not as good as the other. I would start your meal with the summer rolls, they are incredible and 100% a great, light option to begin the meal.

Alrighty, it pains me to right this review. I have kept the pictures in my phone struggling to write this or not. In all fairness, as Yelpers we need to look out for each-other so here it goes, the grossest review I have even written and hope never have to write another like it. My husband and I were grossed out for weeks after our final experience at this location. We stopped at this Thai place one night after wanting to try something different but local. Upon walking in, it looks hopeful- authentic decor etc. We really didn't know what to try so ordered a few dishes and enjoyed all of them. The waitstaff were friendly and food came out in a reasonable time. A week later, I was craving one of the dishes again ( I had a pad Thai but there was another option so wanted to try the one I didn't) I was happily surprised to enjoy the second as much as the first. We tried a couple more things and were happy as well. Unfortunately 3rd time was not a charm... We ordered take out after a busy day at work after looking forward to it all day. Got the food home - as my husband was finishing one of the dishes, he saw something dark - turned the bright kitchen light on and was horrified to find a roach in his food. Needless to say we both wanted to puke our food up. The next morning I did consider contacting the restaurant first but decided to make a formal complaint to the Board of Health. If the roach was a one time occurrence then we would have shrugged it off - not sure we could have returned but figured let the BOH check it out first. The BOH did visit the restaurant / I believe it was the same day or the next morning- great attention from BOH. The report we received did not find roaches however there were multiple & serious health violations. We did not know you can check a restaurants BOH ratings for any place at anytime. We did not go out for a while after this incident. We checked the BOH ratings for their I drive location and same violations over and over again. If they can't maintain a clean and safe environment, they should not be serving food.

Delicious meal with authentic flavors! We tried the yellow curry, green curry, and shrimp and chicken delight--all were good, but the green curry was definitely the standout!

Absolutely delicious food. I even forgot to take photos. I had the coconut chicken soup, egg fried rice, Thai salad and my husband had the chicken red curry. My son had the California roll and a chicken coconut soup. We all loved our dishes. I wish I had a third and fourth stomach to try more. So many tasty options on the menu. The food was plentiful. We even took some back to our hotel for later. The service was pleasant and very fast. We went on a Friday night and it was not over crowded at all.

Thai Thani is a great, authentic Thai restaurant with great flavor and great prices away from the business of tourist-town in Orlando. The ambiance is relaxing and chill, like any good Thai restaurant should be. Service was attentive, very good, refilling water, bringing extras like spices and sauces. Went here on a Friday night with my wife and son. I had the red curry with chicken. It was very flavorful with prominent coconut notes and a hearty portion. The Tom Kha coconut soup is excellent and made with fresh veggies and mushroom. My son had the egg fried rice and a California roll. All good, all around. It's great to be able to get quality food without the touristy inflated prices. We will definitely be back when we're in the Universal Orlando area.

This is a third location for Thai Thani. I tried their Celebration restaurant many years ago, and it was just okay, but I really like this location. It's much better than the Thai restaurant that formerly occupied this spot. To call it a Thai restaurant actually undersells it, because the enormous menu also offers a full sushi bar, plus pan-Asian items such as samosas. We enjoyed all of the sushi items on both our visits. Fish quality was great and sauces very flavorful. Yum Nua, a traditional Thai beef salad was as good as I've ever had. Samosas we're wonderful, lightly fried with a great Indian curry flavor. Papaya salad was very refreshing. In fact, the only thing I don't recommend--ironically--is the Pad Thai, which was very gloppy. They also have a very reasonably priced lunch menu.

Super pregnant enjoying a cooked roll
    Sarah S.

So let me start off by saying this is one of the only meals out that I enjoyed while pregnant, so I'm reviewing it as best I can based on the fact that I had some restrictions. We had a great experience, so we do plan to return and eat more of our normal selection. I will update when we do. This is a new location, and we found it significantly better than the first location. My rolls, which were all cooked rolls, we're absolutely fantastic. I was so thrilled to indulge a little bit. My wife thoroughly enjoyed her noodle dish as well. The best part about this place is at the menu is insanely large with sooo much to choose from... It would be hard to not find something you were feeling. I tend to like selection, but if you get overwhelmed with so many options, take a look ahead of time. Like I said, we look forward to going back and enjoying more of our normal items. Stay tuned for an update.

We love Thai food and decided to dine here for lunch while in town. It was a great experience from the moment we were greeted at the door. The service and food were very good. Definitely recommend it if you like Thai food. The decor is nice and fits the theme well.

Have always eaten at the location by Sea World so was happy to find one opened closer to me. Cute interior decor. Friendly service. The food was as good as always. Had pad See Ew with tofu and their tofu always has a nice crisp on the outside and everything is so flavorful. Pad kee moa was also very tasty with lots of veggies.

Pad Thai, Panang Curry, and Po Tak soup
    Janice K.

We ordered through Uber Eats. I will say the food was excellent but I was disappointed by the portion of the curry. We hadn't taken any food out of the containers and you can see they're nowhere near full. The app required us to select white rice for a $2 upcharge making the curry just under $20. We had a $15 promotion and $15 from Amex platinum and this still cost over $30. Definitely won't order from here again.

It's definitely a small place and not fancy at all, but it's well worth it to support this family :) After placing my to-go order, I was brought out complimentary hot pineapple tea along with two cookies and plantain chips to enjoy while I waited and also to take home. My order came out pretty quick. I ordered a Pad See Ew which had delicious and perfectly cooked noodles with the egg, broccoli, and carrots in soy sauce. My fiancé got the Drunken noodles which is almost the same as the Pad See Ew but with chili oil and a couple more things in it. That was excellent! And the best thing about it all, it was super decently priced for being good Thai food made by a good family. I would absolutely come back here.

I was immediately in awe of the gorgeous interior design featuring wooden accents and furniture, neutral color tones and soft lighting. I felt like I was in Thailand at a resort on the beach. For drinks every single person had something visually pleasing and equally delicious. My drink was the Gimme Guava which is Vodka, plum syrup, guava and lime. It's a bit pricier for the quantity but worth it for the quality and presentation. For food they do have a seafood forward Thai menu but I stuck to a classic and got the Keaw Wan Gai which is white meat chicken in green curry, bamboo shoots, bell peppers, Thai basil, coconut milk. It was delicious and the portion was very fair sized in my opinion. Every single dish on our table was beautiful and each person LOVED their dish. The spring rolls were easily the standout--fresh, hot, and actually packed with flavor. Everything arrived warm and properly prepared, and the prices were right in line with what you'd expect for Thai food. That said, the pad Thai and fried rice were surprisingly flat. Tough texture and almost no seasoning, which is hard to pull off with Thai food. Even the tofu managed to come through flavorless. After hitting 20+ Thai spots over the years, this one ranks pretty low on the flavor scale for me. Still edible and clearly made fresh, so I'm not writing it off completely. I'd consider it again if nothing else was open and I just needed something solid. Just don't go in expecting big flavor.
