We came across this Thai restaurant just because it's close to the place our kids was playing and we needed to grab lunch! The papaya salad came out (Thai style) wow! The flavor blew us away. Chicken satay came out and it was moist and soft and big sticks of chicken! Not the little skinny kind! Fried calamari came out and we also loved it and ordered a second portion of it! Finally our last dish was the duck salad! Everything was so good! We will definitely be back'

This was my second time at Koon, and I'm so glad I came back! The first time I went was with a friend, she asked if I had ever tried it, and when I said no, she was like "let's go!" I'm so happy she introduced me to this place. It's a small, cozy, family-owned spot, which makes it feel really welcoming. The food was so good the first time that I had to bring my husband back to try it. This time we ordered the yellow chicken curry and the pad cashew nut, and both dishes were amazing, full of flavor and super satisfying. The service was just as great, friendly and welcoming from start to finish. Definitely a spot we'll keep coming back to!

Awesome Thai restaurant. The food was fresh and spicy. Very close to Orlando Airport. The staff was friendly and their service was excellent. The restaurant is clean and open. Awesome place to come to!

    Crispy calamari and spring rolls

This was a wonderful experience. Food was fresh, authentic, and made hot to order! The calamari was crispy, the spring rolls were crunchy and flavorful-perfect appetizers! Our entrees were delicious and authentic-full of flavor! We had sticky rice and mango for dessert with hibiscus tea. Absolutely delicious!

Koon Thai is a clean and nicely decorated Thai restaurant. I started with the Thai iced tea which was not over sweet. I enjoyed it. Ordered fried dumplings, Pad Thai with medium spice and a tom kha soup with chicken. The kitchen is small and the place was half full on our visit. They were also doing a good amount of take put orders. They have beer and wine for those drinkers. The fried dumplings were decent. The presentation for all the food was amazing. The pad Thai was next level good. It has shrimp and they left the peanuts on the side. It was the perfect amount of spice and they gave us extra chili oil just in case. The highlight for me was the tom kha soup which for me was other worldly good. It was perfect. Koon Thai is in a commercial area near the airport. There are a lot of other restaurants here. There is great food here and it is reasonably priced.

First time here for dinner last night. Ordered our usual favorites, Tom Kha soup with chicken, beef panang and chicken pad Thai. Everything was delicious. However, soup hardly had any chicken in it and had lots of whole mushrooms which was different. Also different was the broccoli in the panang which we've never seen. Pad Thai was probably one of the best I've had. Service was different here. You enter and see a counter where you would think to order first. A sign says to take a menu and find a seat. A server comes to take orders but you have to pay at the front counter. Overall, the place has a nice and cozy atmosphere.

    Pad Prik Khing with chicken

I was excited to see a Thai restaurant near me that had Pad Prik Khing on their menu. So I decided to give it a try and places a take-out order. The restaurant is clean and comfortable inside; nice for casual dining. My Tom Yum soup was good, hot, and perfect heat (I chose mild). The Pad Prik Khing (I chose chicken as my protein) was a little disappointing. Presentation was nice, but the chicken and green beans were sitting in a bowl of broth. It usually has a red curry paste that kind of sticks to the chicken & veggies; saucy and definitely not a broth. I will not be ordering this again whenever I decide to give it a second chance.

We originally stopped by just for mango sticky rice after eating next door at the Mexican restaurant. A week later, I came back for dinner and--holy smokes. Our favorite Thai spot is 45 minutes away, but this place is much closer and just as good. Absolutely incredible food! Matt was awesome!

Delicious! I only had Thai food once before from somewhere else. This place is much better! The owner is lovely, the atmosphere is clean and classic. We had chicken pad Thai, Thai style wings, pad see ew. Everything was soo good and quick. Highly recommend! The taro milk tea good and the hibiscus tea is refreshing!

Small relaxed spot serving up delicious Thai food! Great service. We got seated immediately and food came out pretty quickly. The Thai iced tea was way too sweet for my liking, but otherwise very good.

Food: 5 Service: 4 Ambience: 5 Date/Time: 2/2/2025 11:30pm Order: Korean Noodles, Drunken Noodles Crowd: only 1 other table occupied but by the end of lunch, 4 more filled Food was excellent and spiced just right at level 2 heat. There was a good portion of food on the plate. The noodles and chicken were both tasty and tender. Service was good but the guy at the counter who was also your server could use some caffeine to perk up a bit. Walking around with hands in pockets and no smile gives off some negative vibes. The place was decorated up really nice with plants all around. Very inviting! Highly recommend it.

This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants hands down. The food is fantastic the service is not the best but fair. It's always clean & tidy. If you haven't tried the onion soup as an appetizer please do so you won't be disappointed. My favorite meal is the white rice w/ beef & broccoli.

The food here is delicious, hot, and so flavorful! While staying at a hotel close by traveling on vacation, my wife found this spot, we took a rideshare there because it was so hot and we were not disappointment. We were greeted warmly and were immediately seated. It wasn't crowded. They have a multitude of freshly made options and Thai faves. We started with the crispy spring rolls and crab rangoons. Both were bursting with flavor. They come beautifully served on a board of greens, shredded carrots, and hibiscus blossom. The chicken fried rice is served heartily--they give you enough to take home. Everything was amazing, the bathrooms were spotless, and the milk teas are a great refresher after enjoying what tasted a great homemade Thai lunch or dinner. Great spot for lunch and well-done!

We started with the chicken gyoza and coconut shrimp--honestly, both were skippable. They tasted like something straight out of a frozen bag and didn't really set the tone for what was to come. Thankfully, the entrées completely turned things around. The chicken pad Thai, Chinese broccoli with shrimp, and blue crab fried rice were all outstanding--packed with flavor and clearly the stars of the menu. We ordered everything medium spice, which definitely had a kick. Even as people who enjoy spice, we'd probably go light next time. We were visiting Orlando on Christmas Eve, and of course, a stop at our favorite spot was non-negotiable. Over the years, they've remained consistently exceptional in quality, flavor, and service. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed by a cozy, comfortable atmosphere. Nothing has changed in the last 15 years and honestly, I wouldn't want it any other way. We were seated immediately, and as always, the service was quick, friendly, and attentive. I always start with the cucumber salad, the Thai chili dressing is absolutely incredible. My all-time favorite dish remains the Crazy Meat, which is hands down the best red curry you'll ever have. It's served with a perfectly fluffy portion of rice shaped like a heart, and the broth truly warms the soul. My husband usually orders the fried rice, but this time he tried the Pad Penang. It's similar to my dish, with a thicker, richer sauce rather than a soup-like broth. He loved it so much that he already plans to order extra sauce next time. For our kids, the waitress confidently recommended fried chicken and rice. I didn't even realize this was an option since there's no kids' menu, but this was some of the best fried chicken we've ever had. The kids devoured it, and we may have snuck a few pieces ourselves because it was just that good. If you're looking for unforgettable Thai food, this is the place. We'll keep coming back year after year, and it will always be our favorite.

The chicken pad Thai was ok missed the crushed peanuts on top & lacked sauce. The portions were great and we finished our dishes but unfortunately we won't be back.

It's part of a long shopping strip with a variety of shops, but they're on the corner and street parking is available. We ordered chicken Thai salad, one of the currys and veggie rolls. The chicken Thai salad was extremely flavorful and so fresh and light, even though I hadn't planned to eat any, it was so good, we had to share.:) I added potatoes to our curry and it was an extra $2 chg. The chef was cute and made our rice mound into a heart. Perfect combo and lots of chicken with the veggies. My only caveat is the veggie rolls were a little mushy and I would pass on them next time. Everything is so flavorful otherwise and it was nice to see real Thai people working there. We learned our waitresses real name, but I'm tired and can't remember now.
