    Thai Fried Rice
    Jessica K.

I had lunch at Talay and let me just say, their lunch special is one of the best kept secrets in Orlando. From the moment you walk in, the space feels elevated yet welcoming, with a modern, polished atmosphere that makes even a midday meal feel intentional. Now, the food absolutely delivers. The coconut soup was rich, aromatic, and perfectly balanced with that signature creamy, slightly sweet and savory depth that Thai cuisine does so well. It was comforting without being heavy and set the tone for everything that followed. Then came the beef Thai fried rice and wow. Perfectly cooked, deeply flavorful, and seasoned to perfection. Every bite had that ideal wok-fired essence, savory with a slight smokiness that made it incredibly satisfying. This is not just fried rice, it is elevated fried rice. What makes this even better is the value. The lunch special gives you a high quality, thoughtfully prepared meal that feels far beyond your typical lunch spot. If you are looking for a place that delivers on flavor, ambiance, and overall experience, whether it is a quick lunch or a casual power meeting, Talay absolutely deserves a spot on your list. I will definitely be back.

This is a beautiful restaurant with a wonderful patio. There is a good selection of items and drinks. It is a little pricy and sharing is a good idea to keep the cost down. We had two drinks the guava and tamarind but did not enjoy the flavors. For appetizers we had the roti with curry sauce...yum and spring rolls which both were very good. The food is presented well and staff are very courteous. For dinner tried shrimp with noodles, veggies with jasmine rice, crab fried rice and marinated picanha. The food came out a little slow and all otlf it was not hot. Good flavors with the shrimp, veggies, rice and the picanha was very tender and delicious. No room for dessert and took food home for tomorrow's lunch. Overall a good experience.

On Sunday, one of my friends had taste for Thai food so we did some research I ended up coming here for lunch. We were very impressed with the decoration and how pretty the place was. We were super excited to try something new. One of my friends came in first and order some appetizer. And the rest of us came a little bit after and the waiter took a good 20 minutes or so to come back. Even though the menu did call out some allergies it was hard for me to select and wanted someone that could explain them. My friends loved their food, which I was so happy. For me, I felt disappointed on the options for allergy sufferers. My bad on my part for not doing some research before hand but it was kind of a last-minute. Let me clarify that the restaurant does have different options and the menu itself looks great. However, for me, my only options were the curries or the creamy soups, none that I prefer. I personally do not like my food being on the sweet side. I was excited when I saw the Tom Yum soup but then this one was creamy not the clear one. Which added to my disappointment because most of the Thai restaurants have the clear one. No options were provided to me to customize some of the plates. Perhaps it was impossible, but it would had been nice to at least feel that was a possibility. Then, this narrowed it down to the only plate that I would want to eat which was the Pla Nueng Ma Now (chilean seabass). The fish itself was OK. The broth was really good and while I ordered mild it was still spicy. So it was great to see that they truly do thai hot. The plate came with rice, which I didn't want to eat, and instead I asked for veggies. The server told me they could not substitute the rice, but it would be an additional side. Honestly, adding the veggies was not a big deal, but it would had been nice to feel some type of accommodation. At the end of the day that jasmine rice went to waste. I would've had expected that they will substitute the side and just up charge me for the veggies. Overall, it was an OK experience for me. I would not come back unless they changed or add to their menu more allergy friendly items. While it was not the best experience, my friends did love their food and they will come back.

Beautifully decorated and friendly staff. I got the Orange Avenue cocktail and it was refreshing and perfect for the Florida outdoor seating. I got the Nam Tok Nuer and asked for it spicy. It was well seasoned and authentic. I did get a side of rice and it paired wonderfully. Overall I recommend a more authentic and coastal Thai cuisine.

Loved the service at the bar. The Nothin' But Coconut (Coconut cartel blanco, malibu, coconut water, coconut foam, toasted coconut) was a fantastic drink!

Talay has a super cute boho vibe inside and I love all the decor here. We visited on a weekend for lunch, it wasn't that busy. We ordered a few things and our food came out so quickly! I loved that bc we wanted something fast but wanted to try this place. We ordered a vermicelli roll with shrimp to start, these wee kinda small but unique with fried vermicelli noodles on top for $8. For our entree we shared the Pad Kee Mow with pork, $17. Loved the flat noodles and basil flavor with peppers. We also got a side of roti for $4. It was not that impressive, kinda seemed like sad frozen boxed roti. I'd skip ordering that. All and all, we enjoyed our visit but I think there are other Thai places we prefer in Orlando.

I came here with my fiancee for an anniversary dinner. Our cocktails, appetizer and entrees were all very good and our server was awesome. I definitely want to come back for their speakeasy bar Noir, it looked like a vibe.

Had a great time here last night! The inside looks good and there is some outdoor seating as well. Note: There is a speakeasy by the bathrooms the door looks like its apart of the wall, but you'll spot it if you look for it. I was not able to check it out, but will definitely be back to. I loved the roti starter so much that we decided to switch a previously chosen entree to the green curry with chicken (Keaw Wan Gai). The pad thai was also delicious with a great amount of peanuts to mix in... Clearly I am a big peanut fan because the star of the show for me was the dumplings!! (Chor Muang). I ordered to come out with the mains and immediately asked for another round. The sweet and salty pork was what drew me in and the peanut flavor is what made me stay. The food was all so amazing I already made plans this morning to go back again with a new group, so they can try it too. Drinks Ordered: Glass of Cabernet, Watermelon Sugar High, Dragon Fruit De La Rose, Pomelicious (Zero Proof) Food: Keaw Wan Roti (extra roti), Chor Muang x2, Keaw Wan Gai x2 (One with white chicken, One sub Grilled Shrimp, Pad Thai, and Sua Rong Hai.

Trendy ambiance with a bar and restaurant. I would recommend studying the menu prior to going as there are different options you may not be familiar with. We sat at the bar, but didn't know we needed to check in for the hostess stand. As most bars you just bypass and sit. The hostess may have been annoyed with did that, from her demeanor. She brought us menus and we ordered a guava beverage and a traditional beer. Both were refreshing and cold. Our meals were good, I could have had a little for spice however the pad tai and seafood was plentiful. The bartender was non stop busy, but efficient. I would go bar to try other items. Make a reservation, it was daily busy.

As someone who is very picky and from LA, I have pretty high standards when it comes to food in general. Now, I love Thai food, but I wasn't sure about the food scene in Orlando. As soon as I walked in, I was met with the most gorgeous interior. I came at an awkward time so it was very empty, but I preferred it that way. It honestly felt like fine dining. I started with their roti which was absolutely divine. It was melt-in-your mouth DELICIOUS and the coconut curry sauce was out of the world. I got their fried snapper as the main. I usually don't get fish, but the server said it was good. The fish itself was fine?-- but the star of the show was the salad that came with it. It was bursting with so much flavor and added great texture to the meal. Their mocktail was no joke, either. I didn't know a cocktail could be THAT good??? I got their citrus honey mocktail and it almost made me aggressive because it was just so dang good. Orlando, your food is good. Hats off to you. Talay, you know how to make some good food.

Love the way the place is decorated. The service is decent and the food is good... BUT... there is a WHOLE LOT OF DISFUNCTION at TALAY. To start, we tried to add scallops to a seafood Pad Thai and our server had to "call a manager" like call a manager on the phone who said no changes. We didn't want to change it, just add. And, for the prices, you would think you could pay more and get what you want. Yes I sound like a brat, but the heart knows what it wants. Other than that, right next door is Noir the speakeasy that is connected. They will not allow the drinks from the speakeasy into the restaurant and they will not serve you in the speakeasy. Best case scenario is you can do takeout and then walk it over to Noir. Because Noir, the speakeasy is flexible. Suffice to say, there are plenty of Thai restaurants which are more flexible. And I will be coming back to Noir, the speakeasy which is quite awesome. But Talay, Ima pass...

This was my 2nd time going to Talay, and both times it was great! It's a beautiful restaurant with great ambiance, perfect for date night or out with the girls. The food both times were great, especially since Thai food is among our favorites. We've had the Yum Ta Krai Salmon, curry duck, pa nang scallops, and several of the cocktails. I'll note that I'm gluten free and the menu makes it easy for me to find gf options to eat. That said, there aren't a lot of gf options, which is fine, I knew that before going. What I was disappointed in the 2nd visit is the Pa nang scallops. I was expecting sea scallops and it was actually bay scallops. Mybe I should've done my due diligence and looked at photos before but for the price I didn't think twice. When the dish came out it was sad looking, and wasn't a pretty presentation compared to the rest of the dishes everyone else ordered. I didn't complain for two reasons: I didn't ask our server about the scallop size, and the bay scallops were actually cooked well, not rubbery. I wouldn't recommend getting the scallops based on my experience. Overall, Talay is a great addition and I look forward to future visits.

Trendy interior design, fast and friendly service, and delicious food - highly recommend checking out Talay! We started with the roti - the curry was sweet and complex, great way to start the meal. For my entree I had the fried garlic shrimp which was just the right amount of spicy and packed with flavor, would definitely order this again. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu!

We were visiting Orlando on Christmas Eve, and of course, a stop at our favorite spot was non-negotiable. Over the years, they've remained consistently exceptional in quality, flavor, and service. We were seated immediately, and as always, the service was quick, friendly, and attentive. I always start with the cucumber salad, the Thai chili dressing is absolutely incredible. My all-time favorite dish remains the Crazy Meat, which is hands down the best red curry you'll ever have. It's served with a perfectly fluffy portion of rice shaped like a heart, and the broth truly warms the soul. My husband usually orders the fried rice, but this time he tried the Pad Penang.
