Pork belly fried rice
Chelcea F.

I recently checked out Moon Wok, which just opened about three months ago, and it was a great experience overall. The first thing you notice is how beautifully decorated the interior is. It feels modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed. When we went around 12:30pm on a Sunday, it was surprisingly quiet (we were basically the only ones there), which made for a really relaxed dining experience. The menu offers a mix of small plates (similar to dim sum) and full portion dishes, which is great if you want to try a little bit of everything like we did. We ordered a few items, including some daily specials: * Pork belly fried rice (daily special): Really good overall. It leaned slightly on the salty side, but not in a bad way. The pork belly was super flavorful, and the vegetables were cooked perfectly. * Beef dumplings (daily special): These were awesome. You can tell they're house-made, and they were packed with flavor. * Beef ho fun (aka beef chow fun): A solid dish--wide noodles with tender beef in a savory sauce. Definitely a classic done well. * Chicken wings: Hands down the favorite of the day. They came out hot and incredibly crispy. We had the soy garlic flavor, and id you're on the fence, go with that! Honestly, I would come back just for these. They also provide a house made sweet soy sauce that was super tasty, we added some of the chili crunch to it to give it a bit of a kick and it was a great little dipping sauce. Overall, Moon Wok is a great new addition. Between the beautiful space, flavorful food, and variety on the menu, it's definitely worth a visit.

So we first tried to come here the night everyone watches others throw the pig skin around and they were closed out of nowhere but it was all good I get it they probably closed for lack of traffic. So coming back here has been on the list for a bit and I must say it was worth the weight as right here is some of the best Asian food I've had in a while as everything we ordered was delicious and just perfect! So the beef ho fun was yummy those noodles were super delicious cooked perfectly along with the super flavorful veggies and beef inside definitely a good start to the meal! Char Siu Bao now these were some of the best steamed buns I've ever had they were sweet but not too sweet they were filled with bbq pork inside that was very flavorful and just added soo much to an already good Bao! That orange chicken was incredible had a perfect crispy crust chunks of chicken inside an incredibly flavorful sauce on them and pieces of orange peel to set the flavor up another notch like that right there is orange chicken I'd come back to again, my friend she had never had orange chicken before and she was like blown away by it and that's the main reason I ordered it as I totally would have went for something else first but I'm glad I didn't because that definitely is up there with some of the best I've had anywhere! The garlic rice was also very yummy had a good garlic taste to it but not over powering just right for a vibe that added soo much to the meal! The inside is really pretty they have a makeshift tree in the middle that sets the room up and he's kinda dark here I dig it definitely next time we see gonna come when it's dark as that will be a whole vibe! Our service was awesome they were on top of it and very knowledgeable about the menu recommending things and quick to fill our glasses overall that just added more to an already awesome experience! Overall we will definitely be coming back here again soon as they have other things I wanna try on the menu and with what we had being this good and close for home I'd be crazy not to come back as this is definitely up there with some of the best Chinese food I've had in Florida!

This place looks so cool! Beautiful decor. The servers are very attentive. The food was delicious. We started with the chicken wings, amazing. The pork fried rice was so great. As was the crispy pork. Come check it out, you will love it

Top notch! Visiting from LA and we've been to many Chinese restaurants. This one is absolutely amazing from ambiance to decor to service to some of the best Chinese food I've ever had. It's tucked away in a strip mall but once you're inside, you're stunned by how much work and effort and thoughtfulness they put into the overall design. The menu has everything from dumplings to wontons to fried rice and chicken dishes. Even duck, which you have to get. It's marinated and cooked to perfection. Tough juicy crispy exterior and soft slightly chewy delicious interior everything you'd want from char siu pork. Service was excellent, very attentive and they make you feel like you're a regular. The crispy pepper shrimp was ok but the rest of the food you cant go wrong.

Great food, service, and vibes. This is a small gem in Orlando that you need to check out. We went on a Saturday night with no reservations and were able to sit within 5 minutes. The server was quick with bringing us water and taking our order. Everything was delicious and freshly made. The shrimp dim sum was so good. I can't wait to go back!

I recently discovered Moon Wok Kitchen & Lounge, a relatively new spot near the International Drive area, after seeing it pop up on social media--my friend actually found it on TikTok. Safe to say, it was definitely worth giving it a try. The moment you walk in, the atmosphere immediately catches your attention. There's a big cherry-blossom style tree right in the middle of the hall that looks radiant and beautiful. The aesthetic is stunning and the whole space has a great vibe. On the right side there's a lively bar, and you can see the open kitchen in action. Friendly staff, great energy, and a cool lounge feel--it makes for a really nice place to meet up with friends. We actually came here for a random dinner to catch up with an old friend, and funny enough, we ended up running into another friend too. Small world! Now let's talk about the food. Surprisingly, my favorite dish of the night was the cucumber salad. I know that sounds unconventional, but it was honestly so refreshing. When it first came out I had my doubts, but the first bite was incredibly crunchy and light. The only downside was that we asked for spicy and it wasn't spicy at all. We mentioned it to the chef/manager and he told us next time to ask for the extra spicy version, which I appreciate--they're clearly willing to accommodate. We ordered a variety of dishes to share including siu mai, shrimp dumplings, wonton dumplings, char siu bao, shrimp fried balls, and calamari. Overall, everything was very enjoyable. The calamari leaned a little salty for my taste, but still interesting. It actually came with rice, which was the first time I've seen that pairing. The drinks were thoughtfully crafted and visually appealing, but for my personal preference they were a bit on the sweeter side and slightly overwhelming. We ended up going with a classic tequila and Sprite, and you can never go wrong with a solid old fashioned. Overall, this place has great ambiance, friendly service, and a fun menu to explore. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you're in the International Drive area and looking for a trendy Asian fusion lounge vibe. I'd absolutely come back and try more dishes (and that extra spicy cucumber salad).

I was very excited to try this new restaurant that bills itself as elevated Chinese cuisine. However, the whole experience fell flat. Starting with the good: the homemade flat noodles were chewy and delicious. The duck was marinated and yummy. Lastly, the restaurant itself is gorgeous. It's very insta-worthy with the flowers, murals, and lighting. The bad: the service was slowwwwww. Even for a weekday. We had the unfortunate experience to be dining with a large party seated nearby. This group took up almost all of our server's attention. It took forever to get boxes and the check or even water. Other waiters had to help out. Because they just recently opened, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and didn't dock a star here. I think that if that large party wasn't there, the service would've been okay. Secondly, the food was very bland and not at all the flavor profile you would expect from Sichuan style food. The chili oil helped but shouldn't be needed. Even the "pan fried" noodles didn't come out pan fried but rather with the texture of chowmein. I don't know if they are catering to the taste buds of tourists but the food did not impress. Overall, I'd be interested to try this out again on a date night or something, but I wouldn't go out of my way to head here.

When in Orlando and getting tired of the typical food, ( McDonald's, Taco Bell, etc...) think out of the box or out of this world and go Moon Wok Kitchen. Chinese food prepared with great flavor and fresh due to the fact, it's a limited menu. Great friendly service and a pretty atmosphere. CIAO FOR NOW

This place is super aesthetic and everyone is super friendly. The decors were soooo nice and pleasing. Nat was our server and shes the sweetest. They just opened so their dim sum is limited but the staffs including chefs will come to check up on you. Food wise, i feel like everything lacks flavor. Not sure if theyre trying to appease tourists but definitely flavors were toned down/hardly there. The siu mai had a different taste to what we are used to eating. The ha cao had different colors to it but we couldnt taste the flavors. The fried shrimp balls were alittle overfried and the beef noodles also lacked flavor. Although, the handmade noodles were very good and perfect chewiness. They are new so probably still working out the kinks. We were curious about the dim sum but after trying them out, we will probs just be back for their wonton noodle soup, cripsy pork and duck instead. Thank you for the warm hospitality!

Moon Wok is a stunning restaurant inside. There are red flowers and cherry blossoms everywhere including a whole tree. The walls are beautiful with lots of crane motifs as well. We went during the soft open but everything was fantastic. We had Allen as our server (I liked how the servers were name badges) and he was super informative and helpful. We started with soup which is a large portion even though we were told it was a single serving. I got the shrimp wonton while my parents got the pork wonton. Each soup comes with 6 large dumplings inside. Super yummy and filling. For our meal, we got the Char Sui Ribs, Chicken with Vegetables, and Beef Ho Fun, plus a pot of Jasmine and a pot of Chrysanthemum tea. My father really wanted the ribs and he liked them but I thought the sauce was too sweet for me. I loved the beef, with the wide noodles, and the chicken with veggies. Both were very flavorful and I don't think I can choose which one is better. I'll definitely be back.

Super cute elevated Chinese restaurant. We had the chicken wings, crispy pork bao buns, corn soup, steamed chicken dumplings and the pork spring rolls. Everything came out super quick, the employees were great and we loved the decor!

Came here for lunch with a colleague and the food and experience did not disappoint. Their lunch specials are great and includes duck and reasonably priced. The aesthetic inside the restaurant is beautiful and most importantly very clean, our server was both attentive and helpful for being first timers.

I stopped by at the beginning of their soft opening. When I heard that the chef's behind Kai Kai and Twenty Pho Hour teamed up on a new fine dining restaurant, I could hardly wait. I was impressed with the beautiful decor and the food. This restaurant is in the same plaza as the Chocolate Museum not too far from O-Town. I started with Chrysanthemum tea. It was delivered in a cute little pot and cup that matched the ambiance of the restaurant. I peeked inside the pot to see the blossoms floating in water. The brewed tea pours out clear and it is served along side a dish containing clear rock sugar. Delightful! I started with Sui Mai off the dim sum menu. The 4 plump dumplings had a great pork flavor with subtle seasonings. The dipping sauce was a great addition. My server mentioned they had just finished preparing the BBQ for dinner service, so I was intrigued. The BBQ and the duck are displayed in cases visible to the dining room which make it hard to resist. The prices for the Chinese BBQ are very reasonable in that you can get a half or full pound of meat or fowl. I went with the roast pork. I got a really good half pound portion of tender pork slices and chunks. It was flavorful even without the sauce. I wanted to try an entree so again I went with my server's recommendation for the Beef Ho Fun. The hand pulled noodles are made in house daily. In this case the vegetables in the dish were onions, scallions and bean sprouts and they complimented the tender beef with al dente noodles. The velvety soy based sauce was good and I made use of the table side chili oil condiment to give it a little zing. I love that crane theme for the decor which is used on the wall art and lamps. The ambiance reminds me of a sophisticated supper club. They have two large tables with a lazy Susan to share multiple dishes with a large group. I love that. The restroom was super clean and upscale with the matching wood fixtures and luxe soap. My service was wonderful. I got there at the start of dinner hours so I pretty much had the server to myself. He was attentive and patient and boxed up my leftovers for me. You can see the chef's cooking as it is an open kitchen and the four chefs were really "wokking" it up. I was impressed that my server asked on behalf of the restaurant, for any feedback I wanted to share. This made me feel that they really care about the customer experience. My only comment was I'll be back.

Chinese broccoli. Needed a lot more flavor so I added chili oil.

Highlights for sure was the calamari which was perfectly cooked and crispy, Peking duck was spot on and skin was perfect with juicy meat. Wonton was house made you can tell and it was awesome. I was disappointed with the steamed oyster as it was well cooked but the taste overall was just not for me. Lobster was also a let down. You could tell it was frozen or not too fresh. The meat was sticking to the shell which is a tell tale sign Overall a stellar meal , I would just avoid some of the dishes above but otherwise it was great

Besides that I really loved the chee cheong fun with xo sauce and the fried shrimp balls. Maybe because we went on a Monday they didn't do the dim sum carts which I love. But then again, the restaurant isn't too big so I feel like they usually don't do the carts. But this is a way to ensure all the food you're getting is fresh though! I do wish the dim sum menu was a little more varied. I feel like a few staples that I normally gravitate towards weren't there. But there was still enough to have a good filling meal.

Each time I order it, they tell me that shrimp dumplings are extra. They are very much worth it, by the way! The noodles in this soup are egg noodles. The tender bite draws you back. At this restaurant they sell it by the pound, right along side the hanging duck which is by the pound as well. They sell so many dishes that are well-loved, but I tend to get the soup. It's so nourishing and flavorful. Top tip for parking...you can park in the back, but there are many restaurants on the same aisle so you sometimes have to wait for people to leave.

Mandarin Egg Tofu - Egg tofu is very delicious and is similar to silken tofu consistency and this dish is delicious. It has pork strips, enoki mushrooms , mini corn, snap peas, green onions. The egg tofu is fried first and once you bite into it its very tender and silky smooth texture and kind of creamy. This is my favorite tofu. The house sauce is a big brown based sauce. The snap peas seemed a little overcooked losing its bite and crunchy texture nonetheless still a memorable delicious dish. This would be a great vegetarian dish if you opt out the pork strips, Fish Filet with Black Bean Sauce - This is usually served or listed on the menu as a rice plate dish. I usually eat this dining in and its a delicious plate entree. They use Swai filets for this dish. For $1 extra you can order it as a dish with rice on the side and you get more fish filets etc separate. This is a lightly battered fish filets fried and topped with house brown sauce with slithers of onions and red / green bell peppers. Of course the brown sauce is black bean sauce so you will see speckles of black beans with the sauce. There are ginger notes as well when you devour this dish. The fish filets are cooked perfectly so soft and tender. The rice served here can be better imo. Perhaps better brand or grain rice? Also ordered my regulars ; Walnut Shrimp, Beef Chow Fun. Walnut Shrimp - Request ordering this (take out only) having the broccoli stored separately. This provides the shrimp dish to not be soggy. I think you get more shrimps this way too. Tasty Wok's walnut shrimp is by far the best in orlando imo - they really seasoned the shrimp itself prior to dressing it with their creamy sauce. The sauce has a tad sweetness to it & some sort of umami. The shrimps are jumbo large sized. You get about 10-12? Shrimps in this dish. I have had my share of tasting this dish at different restaurants and by far Tasty Wok's is by far my favorite. Beef Chow Fun - Another favorite from Tasty Wok. Wok Hei present, Tender seasoned beef thinly sliced, and Tender wide noodles. It was under seasoned salt wise but eating it with their creamy sauce seasoned beef makes up for it. Again, ate my share of Beef Chow Fun at many restaurants and by far Tasty Wok's have been my favorite thus far. They offer free mini tubs of chili oil upon request. Also chopsticks. Tasty wok do not seem busy dining in but they are busy with take out orders.

Prices are really good for the portion and all entrees come with rice. Can't beat that. I didn't see any noodle soups on the menu but I saw on Yelp someone had a duck noodle soup so we asked if this was offered. They said they could do it. The broth and noodles were good but the duck tasted a little old. We eat a lot of duck so we're kind of picky, but I think for most people, this would be just fine. We also ordered the honey walnut shrimp, mongolian beef, and beef chow fun. The shrimps were really big, lightly battered, but they smothered the dish in that mayo sauce lol Once you wipe off some of the mayo, it's pretty good though. I loved that they served this with steamed broccoli cause greens ya know? And they offered a good amount of walnuts for that crunch. The mongolian beef was delicious and while there were a lot of onions, there was also a lot of tender beef. The flavor was good, not too sweet, not too salty, and not spicy either, despite all the dried peppers. Beef chow fun was a hit. You can really taste the smoky wok hei flavor which makes it authentic. The beef was tender, the ho fun noodles whole and intact. Paired with their chili oil, so good! The chili oil is upon request only, they don't leave it on the table. Be warned, it does have a nice heat to it!. Service was prompt and courteous. For $71, we were able to have a quick, tasty dinner for 3.5 people (3 adults, one 5 year old). Can't beat that.
