Pho place took over Pho Cuong. Newly remodeled and nice with bright lights! Service to take our order was quick but food took a bit to come out. First time we both got pho but this time around we got pho and opted to try their BBH. Definitely pass on the BBH here. It was a bit bland, not spicy enough. Their pho is pretty good imo and huge plus for the pickled garlic left at each table for you to add to your dish! It's not the best but good smd convenient because it's close by.

This restaurant took over what used to be Pho Cuong 2. The place has been completely remodeled and the interior is a lot nicer than how it looked as Pho Cuong 2. The pho broth is just OK in my opinion, but their portion sizes are pretty decent for the price. The owner and employees are very kind and the service is good. I would come back again :)

This Vietnamese spot is under new management and new chefs. I believe it was called Pho Cuong 2 but now it's called N Pho. I'm sad to say it's no longer good. The food was abysmal. I miss the older lady and gentleman who used to run this spot. They made good comforting food and their pho tasted way better. When I walked into what I thought was still Pho Cuong 2, I was pleasantly surprised by the interior makeover. The decor was completely updated and it looked better. I thought the old couple had renovated the place. But then i noticed new servers and front of house staff and also the name change on the menu. I thought nothing of it and went ahead and ordered a couple of dishes to see if they still retained the same flavor, but to my dismay, the pho was too salty and the flavor of the broth was lacking, the Hainanese chicken was super chewy and still had long strands of hair/feathers on it and the orange juice was sugary AF. If you're messing up a simple OJ, you're doing something wrong. Overall the food was just depressingly underwhelming. I recommend going a little further down the road by the VTA station and eating some quality Vietnamese food at Pho Tay Do or Pho San Jose. But honestly I hope the new restaurant owners step it up and serve better food. In this day and economy, it's hard enough for businesses to survive. And also step up on your service. This is a customer centric business so do better or risk losing your customers and eventually your business.

I always see this pho place by 7 Leaves and decided to stop by. It was empty and the inside looked real nice. The food was not a hit for me. I love enjoying the broth first and it had no real taste to it. Spring rolls were okay. I will be back because it may had been the day and I want to give it another try.

N Pho takes over Phong Cuong that's been around since 2005 is making its mark specialty are beef/chicken soup, various rice plates and appertizers with a newly furnished interior. Located in a tightly small strip mall ample parking though it can be a real challenge on the weekends worst on the afternoons. Came by on a Friday morning greeted by a new owner and one of her staff. As I was seated she brought over the menu and for starter a glass of lemon iced water which was refreshing. Looking over the menu are the prices which is very reasonable in today's market. I chose #41 grilled marinated shrimps comes with rice a side of sauce a bowl of oxtail soup and a cup of Vietnamese iced coffee (cà phê sữa). Service was quick and they don't skimp back generous portion size with veggies on the side that was more than I would have lunch. Definitely be back and support your local business as May is designated as AAPI month.

The mam tom had a strong flavor (as expected), but it was balanced well and tasted authentic. We also ordered the cha ca La Vong, which came out sizzling and fragrant with plenty of dill and turmeric flavor. Mixing it with the noodles, herbs, and peanuts made for a great combination of textures and flavors. Portions were generous, service was friendly, and the food came out pretty quickly even though the restaurant was busy. It's not always easy to find Vietnamese dishes like these done well in the South Bay, so I was happy to find a spot that delivers. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Despite it being in a big lot, parking still took a while to find. Thankfully, we had thankfully just beat the lunch rush and not had to wait longer than 10 minutes for a table. My friend and I shared a Northern spread (Bun Cha Ha Noi) and a Southern style Goat Curry (Banh Mi Cari De). Service was definitely on the slower side that day, but thankfully we were proactive at getting the orders in. The Bun Cha Ha Noi was delicious - pretty much a DIY spring roll - all the fun, all the mess, with none of the clean up other than licking the plates clean. The pork belly was delicious; I was surprised how much I liked it, since I'm not a fan of pork. I devoured numerous rolls, and we also had some extra vermicelli to finish off the rest of the protein. This single meal was definitely more than enough for two! The Banh Mi Cari De (goat curry) was unfortunately quite the opposite. The goat was cooked very well - tough, gamy, and difficult to eat. There were probably six pieces in total, our first was tender, our second had bone, a little harder to chew, and the last was best compared to rubber. The curry was a bit watery, which made the banh mi soggy when dipped in. This was probably an adventurous try, but not a dish I'd ever consider ordering again.

It's a grilled tumeric fish dish that packs a ton of flavor, and you add noodles and herbs to make a delish spring roll (or in my case a fat burrito). It comes out on a sizzling plate so you have to let it cook a bit to render the onions and dill to get that perfect texture. The sauce might be a bit fishy to some, but it's what ties the bite together! It's def an acquired taste, but if you are open to trying new things, please come try this speciality dish. Tip: on Wednesdays, this dish is only $28, whereas the OG price is around $36. The fried rice here was surprisingly super flavorful! You can taste the separate grains (which is when you know the cook on the rice is good) and the salt levels were top tier. I would come back and get this togo if I was too lazy to create my own food with the spring rolls. Overall, you are here for the food, not the service and decor. I would love to try one of the soup dishes as the pictures on the wall made it look so enticing

If you can't find parking in that plaza, there's more parking across the road where the Target is. After spending about ten minutes on the written wait-list, our names were called. It's definitely a little easier communicating with much of the staff if you speak Vietnamese, and I find that waiting right outside the restaurant is best because they default to calling your name from the door once it's your turn. The interior is crammed with tables; the atmosphere feels busy and warm. There is a single room women's bathroom and men's bathroom in the back as well. The decor leans toward being classic more than trendy, which I liked. The menu is pretty big, offering a variety of items ranging from mainstream Vietnamese options to ones I don't encounter as often. I recommend eating family-style for many of these dishes, including the Bún Chả Cá Lã Vọng, which I enjoyed with my partner. The prices are pretty average, and their portions are generous. That said, they are cash or Zelle only. There is an ATM that you can use if you forget to bring cash, but this is still something to keep in mind. Overall, I can definitely see myself coming back. I wish I had the stomach capacity to try more of their dishes at once, and I 100% recommend that anyone give this place a shot.

Of course, I had to order all the essentials: banh beo, banh nam, banh loc, banh ram it, and cha. I was especially craving Bun Bo Hue, so that was my main dish, while my friend ordered the Mi Quang. The appetizers were all good and definitely satisfied my craving for Hue-style snacks. Unfortunately, the Bun Bo Hue was disappointing. The broth had a strange flavor and was missing the rich, hearty depth that makes Bun Bo Hue so comforting and memorable. I honestly found it surprising that a restaurant specializing in Hue cuisine would miss the mark on one of its most iconic dishes. Another thing I noticed was that the vermicelli noodles were broken into many small pieces, which made me feel like they weren't particularly fresh. It definitely affected the overall eating experience. Before leaving, I also ordered a banh canh to go. That ended up being really good, though I personally wasn't a fan of the fresh-cut noodles. By the time I got home, they had expanded quite a bit in the broth and became softer than I prefer. Overall, I enjoyed everything except the Bun Bo Hue. The appetizers were solid, the banh canh was tasty, and I'd come back for those items. However, the Bun Bo Hue is one dish I probably won't order again.

The standout dish was the egg rolls. They arrived hot, golden brown, and perfectly crisp, with a satisfying crunch and a flavorful filling that made them the best part of the meal. The food, however, wasn't the reason for my rating. The restaurant's cleanliness left me concerned. I noticed cobwebs that appeared to have been hanging in place for a long time, along with dirt and grime collecting in corners throughout the dining room. Even the menus felt sticky, with a visible film of grease and small food particles still clinging to them. The faded print and worn condition made them look as though they hadn't been replaced in years. Those details created an impression of neglect that made it difficult to relax and enjoy the meal. With a thorough deep cleaning and some updated menus, this restaurant could create a much more welcoming dining experience. Until then, the cleanliness issues overshadow what was otherwise an average meal.
